Parents’ names, backgrounds, occupations: Faralen’s father, Eladd was the healer under Keeper Mahariel and Marethari, but unfortunately passed in 9:27 Dragon. Her mother, Varliss, is an apothecary for the Sabrae clan.

Number of siblings: Eilan is her adopted brother, they consider Tamlen an honourary member of their family

Relationship with family : Very good relationship with her father

Happiest memory: Faralen used to hurt herself a lot as a child and her dad was Second under keeper Mahariel, he used to always heal her using his magic, telling her to be more careful next time, to which she always replied “i dont have to be careful you’ll always be here to heal me” and he would make it snow a little bit in the room and she loved it so much

Childhood trauma: The death of her father when she was 15 was very traumatic, but also when she was around 18 Tamlen and Eilan went to the ancient ruins and found the tainted Eluvian, she knew of her friend’s excursion and she went to find them.

If so, relationship with their father?:  Faralen and Vaimah started on a very tense relationship, they were both very solitary. They knew of each other through mutual friend Eilan Mahariel, though after he and Tamlen died in the ancient ruins, Vaimah and Faralen looked out for each other. They slowly but surely relied on each other more than they could realise, grew very close, and fell in love (even if Faralen didn’t realise at the time). They have a very good relationship now, and Vaimah is a constant reminder for Faralen to voice her feelings and they tend to balance each other out nicely.

Asa has 5 siblings, including a twin brother, Kaaras! Kaaras is older, but Asa is the more outgoing of the two. She and her twin are the middle children, with two older brothers and a younger brother and sister.

Such a big family!! Do they get on well together?

Athrin and Sylavun would have loved to have more children. As it was they tried for years to conceive and they eventually had Vaimah, after which they gave up on trying so hard because at least they have him.

Varliss and Eladd might have had more kids if it wasn’t for Eilan becoming an orphan and them adopting him. As there’s only a few months between him and Faralen it was like having twins in the house, which the two obviously weren’t expecting while Varliss was pregnant with Faralen. As the children grew older Varliss and Eladd did debate trying for another child, but Eilan and Faralen became friends with Tamlen and he was around more often than not, and so was treated just like a son to Varliss and Eladd

Vaimah bio tag

He was born into the Glŵrin clan, when he was ~20 moved to the Sabrae clan. He’s became friends with Faralen, Eilan, Envin (all ocs) and Tamlen. He’s my inquisitor and actually called Vaimah Glŵrin and not Lavellan but goes by Lavellan because of a mixup at the Conclave. At the Conclave, Vaimah loses his memories of the past 10 years. The most significant being; the blight, Eilan and Tamlen dying, the clan moving to Sundermount, Merrill being a blood mage and Marethari dying. Also, the fact he’s been deeply in love with Faralen for at least 9 years. Vaimah is stubborn and believes in his feelings and own moral compass, he can often see the world in a bit of a black and white way.

This is for all ocs really but I hc the Dalish elves have similar eyes to cats in that they reflect light so they can see at night. This was mainly to enable the ‘glowy eyes’ thing without having any mages

fragrance: what do your OCs smell like?

Vaimah - the ocean and a light tang of smoke and berries

Faralen- berries and petrichor

Athrin- Halla

Sylavun: freshly chopped wood

Varliss and Eladd both smelt of dried herbs and flowers,

love note: who likes who? crushes? relationships? are they mutual or unrequited?

Eilan and Vaimah had a short but sweet romance before Eilan’s death. Varliss and Eladd and sylavun and Athrin are in very loving romantic relationships (at least before Eladd’s death). Faralen and Vaimah are the mess in this crew of misfit ocs. Vaimah pines and heavily crushes/ falls in love with Faralen for around 8/9 years before his memory loss, starting around when they land in the Free Marches. He then starts to fall for her again all on his own towards the end of the events of inquisition. For Faralen she didn’t really realise just how much she loves Vaimah until he visited the Lavellan clan, as they had barely been separated from each other since Marethari’s death.
