aaah, great question pal! i think i have my mind made up for most of them, so i will list my ocs’ alignments and a brief description of why they chose that respective side below.

*TEAM GREEN/ALICENT’S PARTY:

aliza oleander (née hightower) — due to being the sister of otto and aunt of alicent.

juliaena tyrell (née oleander) — due to being the cousin of alicent.

mykal oleander — due to being the cousin of alicent. also served as her son, aegon’s political ally.

rhaerion targaryen — originally sided with the blacks at his sister, rhaenys’ behest, but later switched allegiances in order to gain favor for vivienne oleander’s hand.

torvi (the right eye) — due to becoming involved with prince aemond.

vivienne oleander — sided with the queen’s party out of her loyalty and blood relation to alicent (it might be fair to note she was manipulated into choosing sides). encouraged by her fondness of her cousin’s children.

*NEUTRAL OR UNINVOLVED:

jaehra targaryen — never cared for politics (or really anyone but herself) so she never vouched for either side

mortin oleander — died before either party commenced

raisa royce — never publicly sided with any party, but was assumed to have preferred the greens due to her love for alicent and hatred for daemon

hi there! i don't have much on them just yet but here is a little run down on my main three...

jaehra targaryen : the last of baelon targaryen's legitimate children, jaehra builds up quite the reputation for herself. by the flash forward she has been married and widowed five times, with no apparent children of her own. this earns her the nickname "mistress bane" at the red keep. she is the kind to cause a commotion wherever she may be and isn't one to be taken lightly. jaehra gives a whole new meaning to "spoiled princess." she could care less who sits on the iron throne as long as it has no negative effect on her. behind daemon, she is perhaps viserys' biggest headache. she was highly inspired by ilithyia from spartacus.

fc: viva bianca + georgia hurst (younger)

sereana storm : later known as "the torrent maiden" (a play on her bastard name, storm), sereana is the rumored bastard daughter of daemon targaryen who was raised in the red keep alongside rhaenyra. as a result, the two were incredibly close and seraena became a loyal confidant of “the half year queen.” she later becomes an asset to her alleged father in his claim for the throne. even she is unaware of her true lineage until well into adulthood. one could describe her as gentle yet pragmatic.

fc: lea seydoux + anamaria vartolomei (younger)

vivienne oleander : known for her peircing beauty, vivienne was more widely known to all as “the prize of hellespoint." she hailed from the infamous, house oleander of the reach, known for its history of poison making and taming deadly beasts native to hellespoint and using them against their enemies. vivienne is the daughter of the late ser mortin oleander, who worked closely with the targaryens during his life. she is also the cousin of alicent hightower via her mother, aliza hightower. with the help of her uncle, otto, both vivienne and her older sister, juliaena, entered court as handmaidens to rhaenyra. her older sister was quickly married off into the tyrells while vivienne remained at the keep alongside their cousin. when alicent marries viserys, she is appointed as her handmaiden instead. vivienne is a very innocent soul who is seen as nothing more than a pretty face or pawn throughout her lifetime.

yeah. 👉👈 it’s honestly a mess because she gets with larys after criston kinda switches his focus to alicent and larys saves her from being taken out by otto. jaehra is wild and doesn’t like the idea of marriage seeing as all of hers to date have been disastrous. still, in part of a scheme to assure they are both indispensable, they wed and even produce a daughter together. jaehra (who we should note never even wanted to be a mother in the first place because she’s…HER) dies in childbirth. her daughter goes on to become one of the candidates to wed aegon iii. rumors swirl that she might actually be the child of ser criston or daemon (we’re not into that here like ew) but it’s all false. rn her faceclaim is mia mckenna bruce but i don’t have a name yet.

what's going on with jaehra and larys

ooh ok soooooo...by the time the dance of dragons gets into swing jaehra has become a bit of a burden on the hightowers. she’s not quite an ally but not necessarily an enemy either. so with her intentions being unclear, otto devises a plan to get her either on their side or out of the way. jaehra is to either marry otto and publicly swear fealty to aegon, or suffer the consequences. jaehra being her stubborn and fearless self, bawks at the idea and goes about her merry way, resulting in otto planning to get her out of the way entirely. knowing this would likely lead to her death (and more turmoil), larys devises a plan to save jaehra from being removed by otto. i have a few ideas of how he might’ve pulled this off (beside just being a creepy mastermind lol), but haven't quite decided on it yet. i just know it will involve undermining otto and getting her nephew on her side. in sum, all of this leads to jaehra confronting larys over saving her and him ultimately admitting he’s been secretly in love with her the entire time. this results in them being very unlikely allies and a match made in hell.

what's jaehra's relationship with rhaenyra

i would say their relationship is fairly complicated to say the very least. they are both very impulsive and brash people, but jaehra is more often frowned upon for it. the slight similarities in their personalities is exactly why the two clash so often. rhaenyra never really ever had to face the consequences of her actions (thanks to viserys) while jaehra is constantly remined of hers (not that she cares lol). so that double standard causes a bit of strife from the get go. the main difference between them is that jaehra doesn't care about what others think of her or anyone around her, whereas rhaenrya still expects some sort of silent praise. they are constantly calling each other out, with jaehra never pulling any punches. there is also a slight rivalry between the two over little things such as who is more comely, who is closer to daemon, their respective connections to harwin and ser criston, etc. on top of it all, jaehra grows resentful of rhaenyra over the role she plays in one of her arranged marriages.

what are your hotd ocs relationship with their family

oof, great question! seeing as i currently have six hotd ocs (and counting), i am going to focus this question on my main three ocs for this fandom.

jaehra targaryen : she was coddled and spoiled by most of her family. jaehra, in spite of her impulsive nature, was always the apple of everyone's eye. in particular, it is said that she was the favorite child of her father, baelon, simply due to his yearning for a daughter. seeing as her mother died shortly when she was still just a babe, she didn't have much of a relationship with her.

when their father passed, viserys took over in being her father figure of sorts. jaehra could do no wrong in his eyes for the most part. that is, until she became old enough to be used in his political favor via marriage. this is when for the first time in her life he disregards her wishes in favor of his own. their relationship is somewhat strained as a result, pushing her closer to daemon and jaegor.

it is safe to say that daemon has always been her favorite sibling, seeing as he is the only one who never faltered in putting her happiness above power and all else. apart from having very similar personalities, the two also begrudgingly relate to having been married off by viserys on more than one occasion for political gain. the two comprehend each other like no one else. they are also extremely protective of one another to the point of committing murder and treason for one another.

seraena storm : seraena had an estranged relationship with most of her family throughout her life. her mother died shortly after her birth, and while she was raised in the red keep along side princess rhaenyra, she was treated as nothing more than a ward for the most part, having been made clear that she was not a true member of the family. the only one who didn't treat her differently and made her feel like she belonged from the very beginning was rhaenyra herself, who treated her like her own sister.

apart from her, i would say she had the closest relationship with her alleged father, prince daemon. even so, he didn't really treat her like much of a daughter but more so the way he did his niece when she was younger. some even mistook his "favoritism" with her as attraction in some instances until she become more popularly theorized as his daughter. in spite of him never being much of a real father to her, seraena remains extremely loyal to him and “the half year queen.” the two only really clashed when it came to mysaria...

vivienne oleander : of the three women, vivienne had the most complex relationship with her family by far. when her father, ser mortin oleander, was still alive, i would say her family life was picturesque. her parents were doting, she and her other two siblings were genuinely happy, their stance with the targaryens was set in stone, etc. however, upon his death, the equilibrium of the entire family changed as her mother, aliza oleander (nee hightower) took over as head of the household until her younger brother was of proper age. that was when vivienne and her siblings stopped being looked as beloved children and more like political pawns. for instance, aliza sent her two daughters to the red keep to be prepped in court by their uncle, otto hightower, and get the chance to rub elbows with the targaryens. juliaena was there for a very short time until she was married into the tyrell household in a power move, while mykal was named the knew lord of house oleander shortly after. meanwhile, vivienne spent her days in the red keep, far away from the comfort of her family and home of the reach. otto saw her as nothing more than a prize to be accutioned off to the highest bidder when the time was right. hence, she had no one to protect her. on top of that, she was too naïve and blindly loyal to realize that no one really had her best interest at heart. even after alicent, allows her to be taken away from her beloved jaegor and forced into a marriage with the cold rhaerion, she remains loyal to her party.

what was jaehra's relationship with her husbands like

Oooh great question! While each of her marriages were set up for political/strategic reasons, the dynamic varied from relationship to relationship. So, here is a little run down...

(1) Larris Lannister: Both he and Jaehra were teenagers when they were wed. They had little knowledge of each other prior to being married. Nevertheless, they soon found themselves to be a match made in hell heaven. Larris was as bold as a lion and Jaehra was as fierce as a dragon. Hence, their personalities played off of each other’s well. Unfortunately, their whirlwind love story was short lived as Larris abruptly died after a harsh fall during a tourney, leaving Jaehra inconsolable. Their marriage lasted about ten months. It is believed that Larris is the only husband she ever really loved.

(2) Balaegar Velaryon: By the time Jaehra was paired with Balaegar, she was still grieving her first husband and fiercely apposed the match. Apart from her not being ready to move on, the two just had no chemistry. Balaegar was a tough and gruff sailor, whereas Jaehra was a posh princess. Plus, he was roughly eleven years her senior. Regardless, the two were abruptly wed. It is safe to say that their marriage was rather uneventful, seeing as the two often avoided each other. Some even say that the two disliked each other so much that they never consummated their marriage. Their union came to an end when Balaegar perished in a shipwreck.

(3) Arvin Arryn: Albeit the most politically driven match, Arvin himself proposed the idea of taking Jaehra’s hand in order to earn himself a place in the king’s court. He was a power hungry man who wanted nothing more than to make himself indispensable by mixing into the Targaryen bloodline via Jaehra. However, by this point Jaehra had no interest in bearing any children. Arvin believed that he could somehow tame the unhinged princess, and get her to become the dutiful wife he so craved. When that didn’t happen and Jaehra failed to provide him with any children, he began to terrorize Jaehra. On one occasion he lost his temper and struck her harshly. In return, she rightfully made a scene of yelling and throwing things in their chamber, drawing the attention of her brother, Daemon. Upon, discovering the scene, the prince lost his temper and ultimately bludgeoned Arvin to death. The murder was covered up as a retaliation for acts of treason by Viserys to protect Daemon and Jaehra’s images.

(4) Jackar Dayne: After being widowed three times, Jaehra began to build up quite the reputation. Not only for her failed marriages, but also for her many escapades following them. The Dornish Lord Jackar Dayne was one of them. The two first became intertwined when the man paid a political visit to the crownlands for a meeting with King Viserys. The princess instantly caught his eye. Jaehra was equally intrigued and the rest, as they say is history. While it was a primarily lust filled relationship, Viserys was advised to offer Jackar his sister’s hand in a bid to help her reputation. The Dornish Lord eagerly accepted, ultimately getting Jaehra on board as well. Not long after, ill rumors about Jackar’s exploits back home began to spiral in court. While Jaehra was unbothered by them, the king’s court was far from pleased. It did not help that Jackar and Jaehra allegedly encouraged said rumors for their own entertainment. The couple ultimately relocated to Dorne for quite some time to let the static die down. Jaehra was finally able to start anew in an environment where she was more accepted for who she was. This marriage too came to a tragic end when Jackar was mysteriously poisoned. Upon his death, Jaehra was sent to Dragonstone.

(5) Rewan Royce: The cousin of her brother’s wife, Rhea Royce, the young Rewan was offered Jaehra’s hand in marriage in an act of damage control. This stood both for Daemon’s failure in his marriage, as well as Jaehra’s deteriorating image. Four years her junior, Rewan was a sickly man with boyish looks. He failed time and time again to secure a match due to his poor health, and yet somehow managed to get a Targaryen bride. The two were wed before having even met, and Jaehra was rushed to Runestone right after. While bedridden throughout most of their marriage, Rewan managed to make a friend out of Jaehra. Their relationship was never romantic. Instead, they were more like partners and confidants. All Rewan really hoped for was proper company, to which Jaehra obliged in return for her freedom. Their marriage ended at around the same time Daemon and Rhea’s did, as Rewan succumbed to his illness roughly a month after Rhea died.
