I've been picking up packs of microwave popcorn from the food pantry lately and it's nice to have a little treat along with all my canned vegetables and stuff but I'm gonna be honest... #for Valentine’s Day this year I decided to celebrate with my bf #since we usually don’t do anything I wanted to be the one to change that habit because it was starting to bother me and upset me #so I spend money on waxing myself buying lingerie making chocolate peanut butter heart shaped cups I bought a giant heart shaped steak #bought some nice oil for us to use #cook him dinner #we have a good time most of the day #when I originally got to his house he had a balloon tied to some chocolates #and I was like wow he actually did get me something #but turns out his sister bought it for him to give to me #and when he told me that it really kinda upset me a little #I immediately started spiraling mentally because my feelings were hurt #and it’s so silly how quick my mood changes #because I don’t know if I’m over reacting #I just felt hurt because he couldn’t do something pretty basic #he makes a lot of money #and this isn’t about money but I spent over half my paycheck on these items just because I wanted to show appreciation to him #I wanted this year to be different #we have been together for 7 years pretty much #I want to celebrate our love especially on a day where you have an excuse to do that #I know we don’t have a traditional relationship like most couples #but sometimes I want to do cheesy shit #I have expressed this to him #he shows love in other ways but ultimately I feel very unloved #am I being dramatic #am I being crazy I also have very low self esteem #he does like me #anyway we got into an arguement towards the end of the night and it just ruinned everything #I spent the whole day today depressed thinking about maybe if I didn’t say anything we would be fine #🦷

Gochujang Miso + couscous soup recipe

Boil a little over a cup of water and add a half cup of big pearl couscous and a hefty spoonful of Gochujang. Add a tablespoon of butter. Let boil for 8 minutes.

(Stir occasionally if you don't want coucous sticking to the bottom of your pan).

When done, add a splash more water to make it more soupy and a hefty spoonful of miso (the water also helps the miso blend in).

Eat.

I wasn't super hungry so I wanted something simple and fairly light. If you don't have couscous, any small pasta will do. Alternatively, if you have cooked rice on hand, you could use that instead, too.

just found out that there is absolutely no difference, chemically speaking, between coloured lip balm and moisturizing lipstick. it's all shea/coco butter + candellia/beeswax + coconut/castor/olive oil + colour, maybe with a few things added like essential oils or vitamin e. they are the exact same. the only difference is marketing, packaging, and maybe the amount of pigment

Dante is definitely a huge impulse-buyer and will look at everything and anything until he gets separated. Aaron almost always loses him, and has to retreat to the front of the store and call him bc running around huge supermarkets kind of spooks him bc of lack of places to hide, big open aisles, etc

#ace tries cooking #shes ugly as hell <3 but i dont even care its food and im hungry #its nearly 11pm because thats the level of procrastination im at atm but i can finally eat the pie i made after the pastry took forever to #be done and i got impatient and turned the oven to max for last quarter or so of an hour and our oven doesnt have any labels #so i dont even know how hot that is #but ya girl got no money and needed to cook so had to use what she still had in the flat cus no groceries until i get paid since i paid #for summer rent i just cant afford it so i made a lil chicken pie with the last two chicken thighs i had some carrots and onions all from #the freezer with some potatoes and gravy and made some garlic and thyme shortcrust pastry instead of buying puff pastry like i usually do #for pies and i always got butter and flour so why the fck not make my own pastry? gotta stop being so lazy now i got leftovers for the week #even if my gravy betrayed me and pooled out onto my pastry in two places smh
