you can actually adjust brightness, contrast and saturation in graphics now! its very helpful to have this outside of just photo mode

You know, maybe it was a good thing Disney abandonded ToonTown.
If they kept the franchise running during all these years, then it could have gotten new adaptions and spinoffs that are mostly dedicated to apps
As good as this would sound, chances would be that most of them, if not all, would have had microtransactions
Imagine having to spend real money for limited game items, different looks for gags and houses, species, etc. and the games taking advantage of FOMO in general, eugh
Heck, they could have even made the main gameplay pay-2-win if they wanted to
There would have absolutely not have been LGBT themed cosmetics or in-game pride events too, considering… Disney
All these different servers like Rewritten and Corporate Clash would not have existed either, which are all absolutely cost free
I wonder how different ToonTown is in another timeline

Why were you buying Nintendo products in the first place 😭😭😭
cause i didn't know how to emulate till last year and i didn't have a pc that was capable of emulating till i was older and capable of building and buying my own computer
but frankly good question. Issue: i am a splatoon blog and splatoon is owned by nintendo. But in all seriousness, none of us should be here LMFAO

In the mid-1980s, animated adaptations of arcade games were commonplace— for example, Hanna Barbera's Pac-Man or Saturday Supercade's Q*Bert. Both of these shows, for lack of a better term, 'Americanize' the designs of the titular characters, so I got to thinking...
"What would a mid-1980s cartoon based off Rascal look like?"
Seeing as I've had prior experience in drawing faux animation cels, I decided to put that talent to the test and whip up not only a cel drawing but also a painted background for a scene for a hypothetical 1985 Rascal cartoon! 🍬🧡💙🧡🍬
(You can get a print of both the standalone cel as well as the cel overlaid on top of the painted background over on my RedBubble store!)

ALSO ALSO ALSO ALSO
!! IMPORTANT IF YOU ARE A NERD LIKE ME !!
NOW WE KNOW EXACTLY HOW MUCH XP IN TOTAL YOU CAN HAVE WITHOUT DOING EVENTS OR OTHER TEMPORARY STUFF
Zelda Bowsmith currently has 79335 XP. The following things are still not completed:
The final quest of Farah’s Workshop for 5 XP (=79340)
Soul Riding, for another 700 XP beyond the XP already collected from it (=80040)
today’s short Main Quest for 150 XP (=80190)
The total amount of permanently available XP (XP attainable without participation in events or other temporarily available activities) is thus… (drumroll, please?) …80190.
Go forth! Calculate how much XP you have collected from events! (If you have not done all the quests I cannot help you! The Dino Valley skeletons do not, however, give XP so you can ignore those!)
Also this officially means that you have no excuse to still be level 20! Go do your quests!

Update #23: Introducing Our Cast
Posted on September 9 [2011]
Hello Awesome Backers of The Bus!
It's been almost two weeks, a hurricane, and an address to Congress since we last talked -- how have you been? For all of you brave Vermonters who might still be dealing with the lingering effects of Irene, here's wishing you all the best -- you're in our thoughts!
We've been busy here at Bus central preparing your show for this fall. Our first and most exciting news is that we're cast! John Simpkins, our director, has been rehearsing our actors for about a week now. I've been lucky to linger on the edges and watch them work; I don't have to wait another three weeks to tell you this: we're gonna have an awesome show! We've got four actors from New York City, and two from Vermont. You'll get to know them in detail in later posts, but until then, let's give a big welcome to the cast of The Bus!
Travis Mitchell (in the role of Harry Deforge)
Bryan Fitzgerald (in the role of Jordan McRae)
Julia Lawler (in the role of the little girl)
Kerry McGann (in the role of Sarah Deforge)
Bob Nuner (in the role of Mr. Sloat)
Will Roland (in the role of Ian Deforge)
What else have we been up to?
Had a press and publicity meeting with the good folks at 59E59 Theaters; met our publicist and discussed possible hooks to publicize our show
Had our first production meeting with all of our creatives (who you'll meet in a later post)
Did a photo shoot for the new central image of the show with our two 'teen' actors, Will and Bryan
Began redesigning our website
Started rehearsing at NOLA Studios in New York City
Below are some photos of one of our first rehearsals, a table read. (photo #1, l. to r., Will Roland, Julia Lawler, Kerry McGann, Ben Ash, Bob Nuner (with back to camera), stage manager Josh Wright, director John Simpkins, and Bryan Fitzgerald)
Until next time, take care!
Jim
(bonus: the comment from sam malloy kicking off with "Those boys are as cute as can be.")
