#people really optimize search terms on there so you can be vague or specific it doesn't really matter

ironically i love thrifting but ive never thought about using ebay, do you have any tips or keywords you use on it to find deals and shifty stuff/wording to look out for?
honestly I don't find ebay to be shifty for buying stuff! people are scared about using it sometimes and I think it's a little funny lol I guess the tip would be that if you search for an item with vague enough terms, you'll get some SHEIN-esque mass produced clothes muddying the results. and you know it when you see it, because those listings look like shit btw. this type of thing:
Tumblr media
like, these are real listings and everything, and you'd get the product, but they are obviously not what you're looking for. you can ignore these, but if you want to filter them out, you can just narrow the search to SPECIFICALLY pre-owned items.
Tumblr media
There isn't really any wording to look out for-- the only other thing would just be to make sure the stuff you get can be returned, bc sellers can specify whether or not they'll take the items back!

The Importance of Keyword Research for SEO: A Comprehensive Guide
Keyword research is arguably one of the most important aspects of SEO. It’s a way to understand your audience, their interests, and what they are looking for when they visit your website. When you have a good keyword strategy in place, it will also help you rank better on search engines by targeting the right audience with the right content. It can be challenging to come up with relevant keywords that people are searching for online. But with the right preparation, keyword research can be easy and stress-free. If you’re still new to the world of SEO and would like some tips on how to do keyword research for your website, this article is for you!

What is keyword research?
Keyword research is the process of finding out which terms people are searching for online.
It’s one of the first things you need to do if you want your website to do well in search engine rankings.
Once you know what people are searching for, you can create content that targets those keywords.
It’s a way to connect with your audience and make sure you are showing up when they’re looking for information online.
More importantly, optimizing your content for the right keywords can help you get more traffic from search engines.
The best way to think about keyword research is like this: when someone types a query into Google, what are they looking for?
What are their goals?
What do they want to achieve?
What words do they use when searching for information?
That’s your keyword. It’s pretty simple, really.

Why is Keyword Research so important for SEO?
Keyword research is the most important part of your SEO strategy.
It’s from keyword research that you will be able to identify which keywords to target.
Keywords are the words people use when they search for something online.
Keywords are how people find your website.
If you want to rank in search engines like Google, you need to think like your potential readers.
What are they typing into the search box?
What are their goals?
What do they want to achieve?
If you want to rank in the top results on Google, you need to understand what keywords people are searching for.
The more popular keywords you can target, the more traffic you will get from your content.

How to do keyword research?
Keyword research is a critical step in your SEO strategy, no matter what industry you’re in.
A word of warning though: don’t get carried away with trying to rank for keywords that don’t matter! It’s important to find the sweet spot between being too focused on one keyword and being too vague.
The keyword research phase is one that requires a lot of creativity and knowledge about the industry you are in.
You will need to know your audience, understand the types of keywords that are popular, and know what you can do to make your content appeal to readers.
Here’s how to get started with keyword research:
Make a list of topics you want to cover
Your website needs to be a hub of information on your chosen industry.
You need to be able to address a variety of topics.
Make a list of the main topics you want to cover, and add some subtopics too.
Define your audience
Make sure you know who your readers are.
What are their goals?
What are they trying to accomplish when they come to your site?
What are their interests?
Choose a keyword research tool
There are a number of keyword research tools that can help you find the best keywords to target.
Tools like Keyword Planner, Google Trends, or SEMrush can help you find keyword ideas.
Create a list of potential keywords
- Write down a list of potential keywords based on your list of topics.

Types of keywords for your SEO strategy
Broad keywords
Broad keywords are terms that many people are likely to search for.
You can also call them low-hanging fruit keywords.
They are great for beginners because they are easier to rank for.
However, they won’t get you a lot of traffic.
Narrow keywords
Narrow keywords are less popular, but they bring in more traffic.
The more specific your keywords, the fewer people will be searching for them but the more interested they will be in the content they find.
Narrow keywords are great for people who want to get more leads and generate more sales.
Long Tail keywords
Long tail keywords are a combination of a few related terms.
You can also call them ‘exact match’ keywords.
These are great for people who have been blogging for a while.
Long tail keywords tend to have more searches and bring in more traffic.

Finding the right keywords for your content
Keyword research is an ongoing process.
The moment you finish creating your content, you need to start getting ready for the next piece.
The more often you can publish new content, the better.
As the competition grows, it’s only going to get harder to rank in Google.
So, you need to keep improving your SEO strategy to stay competitive.
To create the best content possible, you will need to do some keyword research.
You may not know what people are looking for yet, but you can get an idea of what you might want to cover.
Here are a few tips to help you out with keyword research:
Plan your content around topics
Start by choosing a core topic for your next blog post. Then look for other topics that are related to your core topic. These are the keywords you want to target.
Look at the current topics on your website.
Take a look at the topics you’ve already covered on your website. What keywords did you target? Are there any topics you want to revisit?
Pick keywords that are easy to rank for
You want to rank for keywords that are easy to rank for. Avoid targeting keywords with a lot of competition. You won’t get any results from those.
Use Google’s Keyword Planner
If you want to find out the best keywords to target, use the Google Keyword Planner. Just make sure you use an incognito window or do not log into your Google account while doing it.

Summary
Keyword research is a critical part of your SEO strategy. It is the process of finding out which terms people are searching for online. Once you know what people are searching for, you can create content that targets those keywords. It is a way to connect with your audience and make sure you are showing up when they’re looking for information online. When you have a good keyword strategy in place, it will also help you rank better on search engines by targeting the right audience with the right content. It can be challenging to come up with relevant keywords that people are searching for online. But with the right preparation, keyword research can be easy and stress-free.

Doom, Gloom and a Runaway Groom!
a03 link
word count: 3,669
Remus had seemed nervous. Roman has known his brother long enough to know when he’s a little too in his head, and the day of his wedding is certainly no exception. Roman had been expecting that; I mean, who isn’t nervous their wedding day? But this, this exceeds all of his expectations.
Remus is nowhere to be seen.
In all honesty, Roman was a little surprised when Remus had asked him to be his best man. I mean, yes, they’re brothers, but they’re also brothers who bicker nonstop and haven’t always had the best relationship. It’s gotten better in recent years, but still…
“You know me about as well as anyone,” Remus had said simply, “And I’m fairly certain you’re the only person who’ll be able to handle me when I turn into a total bridezilla!”
Remus wasn’t kidding, either. He gets worked up over the littlest things, sometimes to the point of tears, oddly enough. His patience is even more at its limit than usual and honestly, Roman doesn’t know how Logan is managing through it all. Roman loves his brother, despite all of their bickering and the fact that Remus once switched out his shampoo with mayonnaise, or all of the horrid names Remus has called him in the past, but he’s a hell of a lot to deal with sometimes.
Even so, Logan has seemed as resolute as ever to make the process of preparing for their wedding as seamless and on-track as possible. It’s still strange sometimes, seeing Logan so head-over-heels in love with Remus of all people. Listen, Roman doesn’t mean to sound harsh, but Logan can do better. He’d never in his wildest dreams imagined the two of them as a couple, and yet here they are, deliriously and obnoxiously happy. And really, Roman is thrilled for them. He remembers fondly when Remus had called him at nearly four in the morning, asking: “Roman how did you propose to Virgil? I need to know all of the things to avoid when I ask Logan to marry me.”
Okay, maybe Roman remembers the moment with more annoyance than anything else, but still with some fondness nonetheless.
Roman’s also happy that this whole wedding thing is about to be over. He’d foolishly offered Logan to help plan the wedding, knowing Remus in charge of such things was not the most intelligent idea. But it seems he’d forgotten all of the intricate details that go into pulling off such an affair, because yeesh, it’s a lot to wrap your head around. But finally, the whole thing is going to be over and everyone can get on with their lives.
Except Remus is missing!
Roman noticed that he’d seemed a little squeamish this morning, but he’d chalked it up to wedding-day-jitters. I mean, he’d been acting the very same way when he was going to marry Virgil. He listed all of the things that could go wrong and was afraid that Virgil might decide he didn’t want to get married in the end, or any other disastrous scenario. Though come to think of it, he’d said a lot less obstinacies. But still, surely Remus was just a little nervous and would get over it.
Well, apparently not!
“Remus? Remus, where the fuck are you?” Roman hissed as he combed through the rooms of the hotel, searching his and Virgil’s, Remus’s and Logan’s room, as well as Patton and Janus’s. “Come out come out wherever you are, you little shit! If you don’t show up to your own wedding I’m going to kill you – or worse, Logan’s going to kill you.”
“Why am I going to kill Remus?” Roman hit his head on the bottom of the bed he’d stuck himself under, foolishly hoping Remus might be underneath.
“Uh – no reason! No reason at all, everything’s fine! Don’t even worry about it!” Roman says far too quickly, about as suspicious as one could seem.
Logan crosses his arms over his chest, a stone-cold expression settling over his face.
“Roman.” Roman’s bound to crack under the slightest bit of pressure, and sure enough, he does.
“Okay – okay. Please don’t freak out!” “When have I ever been known to ‘freak out’?”
“I can’t find your fiancé anywhere. He’s kind of, uh, lost?” For someone who claims he’s not going to freak out, Logan looks about three seconds from losing it.
“You’re telling me that Remus, who I specifically told you to pay close attention to because he seemed a little off yesterday, is nowhere to be found?” Roman gulps.
“Uh…maybe?”
“Maybe?!” Logan motions to run a hand through his hair before remembering it’s already been styled, and he highly doubts there will be time to fix it, “Roman, the wedding is starting in an hour. God damn it, I told him that if he was feeling anxious he should talk to me! You said you would watch him!” “I – I was! I just lost sight of him for a minute and…” Roman trails off, seeing the look of growing terror etching itself into Logan’s face. “But don’t worry! We’re going to find him! I absolutely refuse to believe he wouldn’t go through with this after all of this planning and time –,” Logan looks like he’s going to be sick, “And also because he loves you! Loves you so, so much! Don’t you worry, Microsoft Nerd, I’m going to fix this!” Logan pinches his temple and sighs deeply before taking out his cell-phone.
“I’m going to call him. If he knows what’s good for him,” Roman fails to miss the snarl to his friend’s voice, “he’ll pick up.”
Evidently, Remus doesn’t know what’s good for him because there’s no answer. Logan throws his head back, letting out a dramatic: “FUCK!” that’s incredibly unlike him before his eyes meet Roman’s again, determined.
“Okay. This is fine. Not optimal, but manageable. Where was the last place that you saw him?”
“I was fixing his makeup in Virgil and I’s room about a half an hour ago or so.” Logan glowered at him.
“And tell me, how did you get distracted?” Roman opens his mouth. “And if you tell me it had anything to do with your husband, I am going to become very, very upset.” Roman closes his mouth.
“What’s most important is that we find Remus,” Roman says, hoping the changing of subject will distract Logan from his correct suspicions. Logan huffs out a sound of exasperation.
“Fine. Let’s spit up, we’ll cover more ground that way.” “Should I get Virgil to help? Or Pat and Jan?” “No,” Logan says a touch to quickly, earning a look of concern from Roman. He clears his throat. “I don’t need anyone else worrying about Remus’s warbots, it will only cause more trouble.” Roman shrugs.
“Fair enough. But, really, I’m sure Virgil would be happy to help.” Logan grits his teeth.
“I think Virgil has helped quite enough today,” Logan fails to miss the way Roman’s Adam’s apple bobs with a nervous swallow, “Of all of the times to become consumed with lust…”
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry! We just lost track of time – and time, is what’s important here, right? Let’s go find my shit-head brother. I’ll go this way,” Roman points vaguely left, “You go that way,” Roman points right.
“Fine,” Logan says through a sigh, “Call me immediately if you see him. And, for the love of god, please be patient with him. I can’t even imagine what he’s thinking presently …” Logan trails off, deciding not to continue nor allow Roman to respond before walking out of Roman’s hotel room and wandering down the hall.
He sincerely hopes he doesn’t run into anyone wondering why one of the grooms is wandering the hotel looking like he’s trying to find a lost, frightened animal. To some extent, he supposes he is.
Mentally, Logan’s cursing himself for not checking on Remus more diligently last night. He had seemed gnawed away by anxiety, but foolishly, Logan had chalked it up to mere nerves. After all, he was rather nervous himself. Declaring one’s undying love for another in front of friends and family is a decidedly nerve-racking affair.
Logan doesn’t doubt Remus’s love. In the four years they’ve been together, he almost never has. Remus has his moments – that is to say, many moments – of crudeness and distasteful behavior, but that doesn’t negate the fact that Logan couldn’t miss the fondness in Remus’s eyes every time he catches his gaze if he wanted to. Before Remus, Logan had highly doubted he would ever find a long-term romantic companion. He’d been thoroughly that perhaps he simply wasn’t meant for such things.
And then he’d met Remus, a horror novelist and immediately flirtatious man. He’d met him through Roman, who’d been more than a little apprehensive to introduce them. It was odd they hadn’t met prior, considering their being twins, but Remus quickly realized how different the two brothers were, and perhaps the assumption that Logan would want nothing to do with Remus. That couldn’t be the furthest from the truth.
Logan didn’t always like to admit it, but he was swept off his feet immediately. Remus’s charms, though unorthodox – he’d muttered facts about the best way to kill a man will maintaining a semblance of innocence between kisses – were incredibly affective. For the first time in so long, Remus had someone who could keep up with his conversations, switching effortlessly from topic to topic. Remus was endlessly fascinated with the macabre and strange, something that Logan, a scientist, could certainly appreciate. Remus loved to discover how things worked, more than happy to dissemble things in the process and he had a curiously for the world that Logan couldn’t help but admire. He still can’t help but admire most things about Remus.
Logan never expected to be wooed by a man like Remus, but yet here he is, set to marry him in less than an hour. He’d been the one to propose, the gesture much clumsier than he liked to think back on. He’d dropped the ring-box, twice, and yet Remus’s response was passionate and giddy as though he’d done a stellar job.
Logan loves Remus fiercely and he knows his fiancé loves him just the same…so why has he disappeared?
He rounds a corner, thankful that most of the guests are probably bustling around the seating area, otherwise he’d be dealing with an even bigger mess. Sure, a search-party might be of use, but the embarrassment that it would surely bring him, and his fiancé was a much less appealing option than finding him himself.
Logan finds himself combing the halls of the hotel, finding nothing, before walking out into the garden. It’s a lovely, sprawling green area – and he’s lucky that it’s on the opposite end of where the wedding is being held, in the front of the hotel. He’s going to find him, and they’ll be married, and then everything will be fine. That’s what Logan’s telling himself, but it can’t still the thunderous beating of his heart. He finds himself beginning to give into hopelessness before hearing a sound that makes him stiffen where he stands: a sniffle.
Logan treds lightly, mindful of the leaves crunching underfoot before finding Remus’s leaning against a bush, holding his knees to his chest and trembling some few feet away. Quickly, Logan sends a quick text, “Found him”, to Roman, before approaching cautiously.
“Remus?”
A shiver runs through Remus’s body as he scrambles to face Logan, his eyes blown-wide and bloodshot. His makeup is smudged against his cheeks, and he looks a few seconds from collapsing altogether. Oh dear.
“L-Logan,” Remus stutters out weakly. Logan kneels at his side, keen not to touch Remus right away. His mind is already scrambling for something to say, to soothe him.
“Remus, I’ve been terribly worried.” Perhaps it’s not the best start, but apparently, it’s all he’s got at the moment. “You don’t…you’re gonna…” Remus trails off, sniffling.
“I’m going to, what?” Remus hides his face in his hand.
“You’re not gonna want me. We’re – we’re gonna get up there, and you’re not gonna want to in the end. Or, or people are going to laugh, ‘n say I’m no good for you.” For someone who was sure for so long that he lacked a heart, Logan’s sure he can feel it breaking. Hesitantly, he reaches a hand out, his fingers brushing lightly against Remus’s shoulder. Logan expects him to push away, but he doesn’t. He just keeps crying.
Logan’s never so much as considered the fact that Remus would believe such a thing. It’s no secret that, much like his brother, Remus has his own issues with self-worth, but this is so much further than Logan’s allowed his mind to reach. He knows it’s the deadly cocktail of wedding jitters and insecurity that’s lead his fiancé to such a conclusion, but it fails to take away from the pain that his words illicit. Remus presently believes, with some level of sincerity, that Logan isn’t absolutely over-the-moon in love with him. That has to be a crime, right?
“Remus,” Logan’s voice is even and slow, trembling only slightly, “I owe you the sincerest apology if you believe I would ever leave you. Darling, I love you. I love you more than I was aware I was capable of loving another person. Of course, you’re good for me. And the people who are with us today are our friends and family. No one is going to laugh, I promise.” Remus’s breath stutters, wheezy and scared.
“But – but you can’t promise all that. What if they decide I don’t deserve you? What if – if you decide I don’t deserve you?” The last sentence cuts through Logan like a rusty blade, agonizing, slow torture. Logan tightens his pressure on Remus’s shoulder, only slightly.
“I will not make such a decision, because that’s entirely untrue. You are as deserving of me as I am of you, which is to say we deserve each other completely and wholly.”
“But – but I’m –.”
“Do you not wish for us to be married?”
Their eyes meet again, the look in Remus’s panic-stricken.
“Whu-what?”
“I said: do you not wish to be married?” Logan knows the answer. Not even a fraction of him doubts that he knows the answer; it’s Remus that concerns him.
“I…of course not!” Logan raises an eyebrow. “I mean – I want to marry you. Of course I want to marry you. I love you, with all of my f-fucking heart. You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me and…” Remus trails off, wiping his eyes with his sleeve.
Remus’s suit is somehow only somewhat crumpled. His hair is a tad ruffled, but nothing too bad. The makeup is smudged, but Logan doesn’t believe that will take very long to reapply, if they hurry. More than anything, it’s sad to see him like this. It’s so unlike the man he’s fallen in love with. Remus is always so big and loud, larger than life and not taking shit from anyone. He’s flamboyant and crass and so much all the time, so much more than Logan ever thought he’d be able to handle, but even so he does. He does more than handle Remus, he trusts him, he revels in his company, he loves him.
Right now, though, Remus seems like none of those things. He’s a man crying in a garden, terrified out of his mind. Logan wants nothing more than to take that fear away from him, to see his love light up again.
“And I’m scared,” Remus finishes finally, “’M scared of all of those things I said. Fuck, Lo, I’m sorry. I’m so fucking sorry…”
Logan finds himself engulfed in Remus’s embrace, warm and tight and trembling. Logan’s rubbing his back, slow circles he hopes are doing something to soothe Remus’s nerves. He’s crouched in the dirt, holding tight to his crying fiancé. Not exactly what he expected his wedding day to look like, but hey, Logan’s doing what he can to roll with the punches. He’s learned a lot of that from Remus, how to keep going when life throws you a fast one.
“It’s okay, love,” he says softly, “It’s perfectly alright that you’re afraid. But as I said, I promise, everything is going to be alright. I assure you, I want you by my side always.” “Even – even when I’m being an idiot?” Remus asks through a snuffle. Logan laughs lightly, feeling the tension beginning to disperse.
“Always, my dear.”
Remus pulls out of his grasp before cupping Logan’s cheeks and kissing him a little too hard, the embrace all teeth and tongue, but Logan can still feel the tremor of his hands. He’s shaken, but he’s going to be fine. He’s okay.
“Oh, shit!” Remus curses loudly, the entirety of the situation finally dawning, “We’re about to get fuckin’ married!” Remus whips out his cellphone, letting out another string of expiative. “I’m – oh my god, I didn’t even realize the time. Shit. I’m sorry, Logan, I’m sorry! I don’t know where my head is and I’m such a mess. I’m so –.”
“Hey,” Logan’s voice is grounding, snapping Remus out of whatever rant he was about to launch himself into, “It’s alright. They can’t exactly start the wedding without us, now can they?” Remus’s frantic, worried expression melts into something closer to relief.
“Shit, baby, I’m rubbing off on you too much, aren’t I?” Remus says through a watery laugh, referencing Logan’s usual insistence on being punctual.
“Perhaps,” Logan says, standing up and offering Remus a hand, “I feel I have to check: are you still interested on becoming my husband?”
Remus grips his hand tightly.
“Of course, yeah. I’m just…” Remus swallows the building lump in his throat, “…what if I fuck it up?” Logan helps him to his feet, watching as Remus brushes the dirt off his pants. “You aren’t going to “fuck” anything up, love. Fear is not equal to being inadequate in any sense. I’ll have you know…I’m afraid, myself.” Remus face shines with an incredulous look.
“Really?”
“Yes. It’s perfectly reasonable to be a little nervous on your wedding day. It’s quite the common thing, you know.” Remus’s grip on Logan’s hand tightens as he takes a deep breath.
“Okay. Okay, I’m good.” Logan gives him a careful look.
“Are you sure? If you need another minute…” Remus quirks an eyebrow.
“Do we have another minute to spare?” Logan steels a glance at the time. Shit.
“No…not really.” Remus’s face is graced with a smile so wide and bright Logan knows that his Remus, larger than life, bolder than anyone he’s ever met, is back.
“Then let’s get going!”
And they do. They run through the garden and back into the hotel room. Hastily, Remus’s smudgy makeup is wiped off and reapplied. His hair is combed to a passable degree. A few anxious, excited kisses that they really don’t have the time for are shared.
Guests look utterly baffled to find the grooms walking to their wedding hand in hand, after all, it goes against so much stupid tradition. Not to mention they're seven minutes late. Even so, Logan catches the relief on Roman’s face as well as Virgil mouthing a quick “sorry.” He fails to elaborate past that, doesn’t need to.
Remus is walked down the aisle by Roman. Logan watches as Remus walks to the sound of the wedding march, his eyes already misting. It’s preposterous, isn’t it? Logan’s already seen him today, he’d known what he looked like in his suite. But if Logan’s learned anything in his time with Remus, it’s that emotions rarely have much logic behind them.
He was just scrambling to find Remus, and now here they are, face to face and crying like children. Logan almost never sheds a tear, but this is different entirely. It feels like a facet has been twisted that he can’t manage to shut off. He was sure that he was going to be more composed than this, but he isn’t at all.
He worries, distantly, for Remus as things proceed and their vows are read. He worries he’s going to become consumed with fear again and crumple right in front of all of their friends and family. Logan wouldn’t fault him or be upset, just worried. It doesn’t happen, though. Remus simply trembles and cries through his vows, words Logan knows to be true with all his heart, and then Logan does the same.
And then those words are said: “I pronounce you husband and husband. You may kiss the groom.” Logan’s brain has been filled with so much Television static, standing here, Remus’s hands clasped in his as they promise their lives to one another. But then, abruptly, everything is clear. Remus’s lips are on his, hands tangled in his hair. Surely the kiss is far too amorous to be considered decent, but neither of them seem to care much.
“I love you Logan Knightly,” Remus breaths against his lips as he pulls away just slightly. The cheers and clapping of their friends and family are ringing in his ears, “I love you.”
It dawns on him. Yes, he’s Logan Knightly now. He took the name with pride. He has a husband – Remus is his husband.
“I love you too,” he manages to avoid kissing Remus again long enough to say, “Madly. I love you madly,” before their lips are connected again.
The anxiety of their moment together prior has not entirely dissipated. It’s lessoned considerably, though. Logan knows Remus is still worried, still wonders if someday Logan might decide he doesn’t want him anymore. Nothing like that will ever happen, and it’s still mixed with the jitters of the day, but it’s still a concern. One that Logan’s determined to convince Remus is ludicrous, for the rest of his life, if he has to.
They love one another and for Logan, that’s enough.

Several of the techniques you may use to spot this kind of marketer comprise depending on reviews from other parties who've used their products and services before. The objective is to be sure that once you cover the service, you'll end up getting very superior value for money. When investing in cheap ads, it is crucial to produce some means of tracking. A few of the metrics which will need to be assessed include the quantity of traffic who see the site as a consequence of the ads, subscription rates, sharing of information regarding social media and a lot much more. Most top superior marketers offering cheap So-Lo ads will probably even offer tools and applications for monitoring. SPN 14X11: Damaged Goods
Summary (via IMDB):  Dean spends some bonding time with Mary and Donna. Nick finally finds the answer he has been searching for. Sam is left to make an unimaginable choice.
Written by: Davy Perez
Directed by: Phil Sgriccia
Spoilers below, but I really loved this episode. (@evvvissticante @verobatto-angelxhunter @metafest)
Mary’s off-hand comment about why we don’t see Bobby, that he’s trying to cope after the stuff that happened with his own son, plays into the season’s theme of parent-child relationships. Yes, this was most likely a way to explain his presence off-screen, but they said this rather than, “he went to work a case solo, and I was sick at the time” or something like that. I suspect Bobby’s out of the picture, however temporarily, in preparation for episode 300, so it can focus on Mary and John. I feel like things between Mary and Bobby are serious, but we still need this moment of her clearly choosing a future with Bobby, and not the past with John.
When Dean’s talking to Mary, trying to get her away from the cabin for a while, he uses the excuse of being hungry, and wanting ‘Winchester Surprise’. Not only is the viewer supposed to pick up on this as a blatant lie, but Dean forces himself to eat anyway, Like, he and Donna put away a lot of food in just the previous scene, stuff that was probably super unhealthy, with no nutritional value. Then, you see Dean force himself to eat something even worse, just to please his Mom. Maybe it’s a commentary on Dean doing stuff to please others, without actually doing anything that’s personally fulfilling? Or, I’m talking out of my ass faster than Winchester Surprise, we’ll see.
That moment, when Dean’s wanting to add something else before Mary leaves, I wonder if he was gonna say ‘Love you’? Like, try to add it casually, like he did with Sam’s hug earlier? There’s clearly something missing from the dialogue we’re meant to pick up on.
The song playing as Dean welds is “No time” by The Guess Who. Of course, the opening lyrics are “No time left for you.”
“No time for the love you send, seasons change and so did I.” god DAMN Davy AIN’T PLAYIN’. And, right after this, we get sparks flying over the image of the shirtless cowboy. Good lord, this is gay.
As far as I’m concerned, Donna turning her back on Nick isn’t the dumbest thing I’ve seen an SPN character do to get the plot rolling. Like, have you met any member of TFW? Sometimes they mimic a bag of rocks.
Mary bought him an apple pie! Did we ever get to see them eat it?
(I’m from the future, we don’t know if they eat the pie. How sad.)
So, a lot of the shots of Mary in this episode are very isolating. Shots from a wide angle, that make it feel like someone (Nick) is watching her, a lot of shots showing how separate her and Dean are. It’s great for building a sense of dread.
There’s a number of sneaky horror movie references in this episode: the murdered girl scout troop, probably at a camp site. Nick being THAT creepy mass slasher, the Enochian puzzle box straight out of Hellraiser, and according to IMDB, a Chucky doll. You know, Child’s Play, the movie about the soul of a murderer being trapped in a doll, and assuming control of it, ‘cause guess what? The container the killer’s in doesn’t do dick to stop him. Huh.
Time and again, we see Mary actively trying to free herself, be it getting her hands unbound, leading Nick into a booby trap, and in general buying time when and where she can. To me, this doesn’t make her a damsel in distress, she’s doing what she can to save herself.
“Didn’t really think this through, did you Nick.” well if that ain’t shades of Lucifer in S12.
“When people are past the point of saving, you need to walk away.” Dean is obviously talking about himself, and Nick, maybe even John, THIS LINE IS LAYERED.
So, why Mary? Why does Mary get kidnapped by creepy Nick? Well, Nick is chasing after the Demon that murdered his family, and is desperately seeking closure by any means necessary. He’s pretty much John, only with no regards for Human life.
In the same episode Dean brings up a memory of John not handling Mary’s death well, Mary is confronted with a John mirror.
“The more slow and bloody, the more chat.” Nick agreeing to these terms, after describing his own wife and child’s murders as “bloody, brutal, slow” shows Nick has become the very thing he hunts. I mean, we knew this the moment he hammered his neighbor, but whatever.
Things we know for certain: Billie gave Dean fuck-all to work with at the end of ‘Nihilism’. Dean claims in 14X11 she gave him the recipe, when everything Mary looked through in the shed earlier came from books Dean got from the bunker. Not a single one of them resembled the book Billie gave him. Two options: the book was empty, or it’s something worse and more vague.
Dean, I love you, but you’re an idiot. Remember how I said TFW sometimes acted like a bag of rocks? This, the entire plan to chuck himself into the ocean, when not even the Mark of Cain was safe there. I know everyone else has been making fun of that specific point, and how our boys never seem to learn, but, damn. Dean, please, love yourself. Can you, maybe just a bit?
Pretty please?
Anyway, I loved this episode. The past two episodes have renewed my optimism for s14′s main plot, and i’m so happy about that.
Let me know what you guys thought! Did you like it? Did you hate it? Tell me about it!

Why Generating Fantastic Articles Is The Only Online Marketing and advertising Approach You Need to have To Comply with
When you hear the words "online advertising", what comes to your mind? Social Media? Facebook? Look for engine optimization? Running a blog? WordPress? Or probably you feel about on-line marketing, pay out-per-clicks, and lookup engine advertising. I imagine there is 1 phrase that everybody thinks about when they hear the time period "on the internet marketing and advertising", and that term is "tough." Online marketing is hard. Have you at any time talked to a marketing and advertising expert about online advertising and marketing? Do not they all give the exact same, vague, generalized tips when it will come to on-line marketing and advertising? Initial, they explain to you to employ a Search engine optimization organization, then they tell you to weblog, then they tell you to use social media, and after you have accomplished all of this, they inform you that you may commence receiving traffic to your web site. Every single marketing expert states the actual identical point, and the advice is constantly obscure. Even the in-depth tips about on the internet marketing and advertising is imprecise. Have you at any time read an article about on the web advertising? Attempt this when you have some free time. Research "on the internet advertising strategies" on Google and click on on and read some of the articles. You don't have to search previous the very first webpage on Google. Just read through some of the prime posts that Google returns. This is a evaluate and distinction exercise. When you comprehensive this, you may realize that all these articles seem the same. The first paragraph presents you a short overview of what on the internet advertising is and why it is so crucial. Then the list begins. Now soon after you have accomplished this workout, you possibly realize that the titles of the report all have anything in frequent they're all formatted as a leading-10 record. They all look like this: "seven On the web Marketing Facebook Strategies to Enhance your Fan Base." Now, content marketing is not issue. I like the prime-10 listing structure. It makes the post more desirable to the reader. What I do not like about greater part of these articles or blog posts is that practically everyone's leading-ten listing is the same. They all give the identical on-line marketing methods and guidance. I indicate c'mon these are the experts! These are expert writers, creating for some of the largest firms in the globe. Why do bulk of the posts sound the identical? Since again, on the internet marketing is tough! No one likes to be improper or give bad suggestions. The writers are just composing the identical vague, generalized advice that the marketing and advertising gurus say. I could go on-and-on, specially when it will come to online advertising and marketing workshops, but I am not heading to I feel you have gotten the stage by now. In this post, I'm heading to try to do something that's not often carried out. I'm going to try to give you first and efficient tips about online marketing and advertising. I am heading to be entirely sincere. I will not give you out-of-date approaches that do not work just to make my report lengthier. These strategies will perform. How do I know? Due to the fact, I run a company and they are presently working for me. I have experience in this area and I have manufactured numerous blunders in on the web advertising, so I know what operates and what will not function. So, with out additional ado, below are my online marketing and advertising techniques that will undoubtedly help your organization acquire far more exposure on the internet. Online advertising is all about the sort of content you might be creating. Very first of all, the greatest online marketing and advertising method is generating material. Arms down! Sure, Facebook likes, retweets and social media shares on other common social media internet sites like Pinterest, Instagram, and Reddit are awesome, but do they truly increase income for a enterprise? Believe about it, how a lot of times do you patronize a enterprise since you liked their Facebook submit? Precisely. I think social media is very powerful but only performs if you have great articles. Content material can be anything at all. It can be from a very properly created article to a fashionable t-shirt with a clever phrase on the front. Material can really be anything. I imagine majority of the companies out there believe that just submitting a catchy put up on Fb together-facet an eye-catching photograph will improve their consumer foundation and ultimately their income. This just is not true. If on the web advertising and marketing were that easy, everyone, including the regular man or woman would be an skilled at on-line advertising. Anything in this globe value obtaining takes tough work and time the final results from an efficient on the web marketing marketing campaign are no different. Creating great content material isn't really simple nonetheless, when you do produce fantastic content material, there are so several sources at your disposal that could possibly help that content turn into viral. Have you at any time noticed a online video on Fb or YouTube that has hundreds of shares and hundreds of likes? The purpose that video went viral is because of the content. The typical person is not a advertising and marketing expert and doesn't have a social media spending budget all they have is their creativity. Which is all you require to produce great content material. So, now that we have recognized that producing fantastic content is the very best on the internet advertising technique, I'm going to demonstrate you how to produce fantastic material. As I mentioned previously, creating fantastic, viral worthy articles is not easy. However, there are so many assets to aid that material go viral making the material is genuinely the only hard element. Generating excellent material demands investigation. You have to think about what is actually trending in the planet. Way too numerous marketing gurus believe that the only factor that can go viral is a amusing YouTube movie and that is just not real. If you are not humorous, never consider to be funny. You do not have to be funny. Perform to your strengths. You just have to be inventive, persistent, and use your creativeness. There are a great deal of items that are trending in the world. Select one. Create articles about a subject matter that is essential to you. The far more essential it is to you, far more than very likely, the greater the articles will be. The subsequent step is to produce the content material employing a media that's common. There is a reason why movies are much more likely to go viral than an article. A excellent article can go viral, but it will absolutely just take longer. People get pleasure from films much more there's no studying included in seeing a video. Your movie doesn't have to be aesthetically appealing and you don't have to be an skilled in online video editing it just has to be intriguing. And don't worry, you can often find out about video editing and unique effects although creating the movie it's not specifically rocket science, it just normally takes a little practice. The following action in making wonderful, viral worthy material is relating that articles again to your organization. This might be the hardest part, but, if completed correctly, is a game-changer. The greatest goal is conversions, even so, why do you require to transform folks via the material? Which is the blunder that many advertising gurus make. Great content might not raise your profits appropriate absent, but it really is not supposed to. The purpose of content advertising is to elevate consciousness of your enterprise. The earnings gains will arrive in the potential, not quickly. As long as the articles relates back to your company (in some sort of way), you are good. The next phase in creating excellent articles is your content has to solve a dilemma. Shoppers have problems, even if that dilemma is ignorance, which means, not realizing ample about a certain subject. Excellent content solves problems and enlightens customers. Which is why great material goes viral. Consumers share issues that they've recently learned simply because everyone has the interior-urge to assist a person else in want. A new perspective
I finally got the motivation to do some writing again! Not like I ever did much but still, I’m really happy that I wrote something finally. For anyone who sees this I hope you enjoy it, kinda just wrote the first scenario that popped into my head.
‘What are you even doing with your life?’
The voice pulls me out of the daydream I was having, it was a nice one too. I was with… crap it’s already fading. I look around my spartan room but don’t see anyone, which is nice, I’d like to think that someone didn’t just break into my house to criticize my life. How rude would that be?
‘It would be pretty rude, but hey I didn’t break in at least.’
I swing around in my chair, looking around frantically. I swear the voice was right behind me, it felt like they were talking right into my ear. Am I going crazy? Theres nowhere for anyone to hide, I use the space under my bed as ‘storage’ and there isn’t much apart from my dresser and bedside table.
‘I don’t think you’re crazy, although you definitely seem lost.’
“Who the fuck is there? I don’t even have anything worth stealing ok, please just leave.” I look around for something to grab, my pocket knife is the only real weapon but I left that in my jeans which are across the room.
‘Please just leave,’ They say in a mocking tone, ‘I don’t think it works like that. Unless you know a way for me to just walk out of your head.’
The words stun me, what… did they just say? In my head? No, no no no, crazy people have voices in their head. Sure I’m pretty lonely in life, and yeah I’m barely getting by day to day, but that isn’t enough to send me over the edge… right?
‘Look, I don’t know what to tell you but I promise I’m in your head. Although from what I can see I’m surprised you’ve managed to make it this far. Did you even eat breakfast… no, any food today? Maybe had some water?’
“What? Wait, you’re actually… in my head? Like the voices are speaking to me, in my head?”
‘Well, I’m A voice, not multiple, for starters. And I’m not so sure voice is the right term, I’ve kinda just been observing you for the last few days and boy, is your life depressing.’
Yeah thanks for the news flash, my life sucks, put it on the front page. Hold on, “you’ve been observing me? What are you, my personal FBI agent?”
‘Ugh, I wish. At least that would let me live my own life, which would hopefully be better than whatever this is. You really need a pick-me-up dude. Also can you just talk in here please? If anyone does happen to hear you they’ll probably put you in an institution.’
           In here? What, like this?
‘Yeah! You got it, just keep doing that, it’ll look a lot less weird this way.’
           I’m speaking to a voice-
‘Not a voice, we just went over this.’
Ok then, what the hell are you? You just appeared and started criticizing my life out of nowhere. Are you a ghost? Maybe an angel or demon? Do you have a preference? God this sounds crazy.
‘How about we just go with, entity. I think that’s a fitting title if you really need one. This entity, for one, thinks you need to do something more with your life. I mean just watching you has me wanting to be with a squirrel or mouse, they probably hate their life less than you do.’
Is insulting me the only thing you can do? I hate myself enough as it is, I really don’t need anyone else to join in on it if you don’t mind.
‘Fine, but back to my original question. What are you doing with your life?’
What kind of vague question is that? I’m living? I have a job, make enough money to pay bills and feed myself, I don’t know what else I’m supposed to say here.
‘That exactly what I’m talking about dude. You have no goals, nothing you aspire to do, you’re just… surviving. It’s like you’ve given up on life, like you’ve accepted that nothing better is going to happen so you might as well just keep doing what you’ve been doing.’
I feel the fabric tug at my skin as I slump down in my chair.
That sounds about right, I used to do a lot. Trying to reach a better future that everyone promised would come someday. But Honestly? I don’t think that future exists, I know so many people are out there that suffer through the exact same problems I do, and so many others have made it to a better life, and they promise that it gets better. But I’m tired of trying to find the better, I worked towards it for years, searched for it for another few years, and you know what? Nothing happened, not even the slightest good thing lasted longer than a week before disappearing to be replaced by the same old boring bullshit, or if I was particularly unlucky something bad would happen. There you go, happy?
‘…wow, that sounds completely stupid. Just because things didn’t always go your way, you’re giving up? Just like that?’
Just like that? Just like that?! Look you’re fucking new to this, I didn’t ‘just give up’ ok? I fucking tried, I tried so much. I held on to hope for years, I was always known as the optimist. I was the bright happy friend, the person who never got down, even when they were in the depths of depression. Even when I was at my worst I kept fucking going, finding something to be positive about. It wasn’t even forced optimism, I genuinely felt like everything would be ok, that I would figure out what was wrong, what I need to do to fix my life. But there’s no magic fix, no solution, you just have to be lucky.
‘So, what, your plan is to just get by until you get lucky? Until the world decides that it’s your turn to have a good life?
Congratulations Einstein, you pick up on things quickly at least. Now can I just fantasize about a better life in peace please? That daydream you interrupted was a pleasant one, and I’d like to get back to it.
           ‘Mmmmm, no.’
           No?
‘Nope, I don’t think I will leave you alone. You obviously need a change in your life, so why not have a new bestie to walk through life with you, yeah?’
A new bestie… with no due respect that sounds stupid. What does you being here change? I’ll still be going to my same boring job, living my same boring life, isolated from the world because if it doesn’t want anything to do with me then I’ll gladly separate myself from it.
‘Well for starters how can your life be boring if I’m here to nag you constantly? Why settle for boring when you could have exciting? Why be isolated when you could just force yourself onto the world? Who cares if it doesn’t want you? You’re still here, it doesn’t get a choice in the matter if you don’t give it one.’
Oh no, the last thing I want is for you to be talking to me constantly. The only thing you’ve done so far is point out how shit my life is and I’m well aware of that enough on my own without you to remind me.
‘Oh but that’s the point! I’m not just going to remind you anyways, I’ll be here with better ideas for you to try than just getting by. Why go to your boring office job when you could work in a restaurant? Why sit at home when you can go embarrass yourself at a nightclub? Come on, lets go be exciting.’
A restaurant? Absolutely not, I barely make enough money for my bills as it is, why would I go for a job that pays less? And why the hell would I willingly go embarrass myself at a nightclub? People tend to avoid being embarrassed, it’s kind of unpleasant if you didn’t know.
‘Yeah, but it’s different! It’s better than nothing! What would you rather be doing, sit here at home playing videogames that you haven’t enjoyed at all for years, just passing the time? Or would you rather go out and try something new, something that might put a bit of spark to your spirit? You don’t have to go to a club, we could go play paintball, or join an acting club! Same with the restaurant, it’s just a suggestion, there’s so many other options though! You could go work in construction, or go to school to become an electrician, those would pay at least the same as the job you’re working and they actually have some energy to them! What’s the worst that could happen? You’re already bored to pieces, about as low as you can get, right? So at worst nothing changes, and at best you have a better life, yeah?’
If I go along with this, will you at least shut up a bit? You’re like a gnat constantly buzzing in my ear, and starting to give me a bit of a headache.
‘Sure! I’ll quiet down a bit if you start making some changes, but don’t think you’ll be getting rid of me that easily. Obviously you need someone to push you and if you won’t do that then I’m the only person left to do it. Now come on, lets go make some noise. Make yourself a problem for the world to put up with, be annoying, live an exciting life just to spite the world. It’ll be the best revenge story ever, local man perfects making himself a problem in every room he enters. Be Irresponsible! Be the name in bold lettering in a headline! Be the story behind a new oddly specific law! We could be famous! We could be, gasp, the next Florida Man! This has to sound at least a little fun to you right?’
Well, I guess it does sound better than getting my ass kicked in videogames I don’t even care about.
I pause for a moment, trying to process what they just said.
Ok fine, I’ll give some of your ideas a try, but let’s not get too crazy, ok?
‘Fuck yesssss, ok I have so many ideas! What should we do first? Skipping through a grocery store aggressively complimenting everyone sounds pretty great to me. Oh, or what about zip-tying shopping carts to the cars of people who park like assholes? Or, or we could go buy weird combinations of things to get funny reactions from cashiers! What do you think?!’
I think we should do something a bit calmer to start with, but we can start by going outside I guess.
I stand up from my chair and squeeze my shoes on before grabbing my keys and wallet from atop my dresser on my way to the door. While I step outside and lock the door behind me, the entity keeps flooding my head with ideas. I turn around to face the world, my street highlighted by the setting sun, and I feel like a weight has been lifted from my chest, replaced by a comforting warmth. And as I take my first step towards an uncertain future, I smile for the first time in a long, long time.

How to Find Your Dream Job: Career Research Guide
Finding a job, especially your dream job, is hard. Even if you have a few ideas of what you’re interested in, how do you choose what to pursue? Do you have enough experience to even try at this point? Or, do you think it’s too late for a career change? Let me tell you, it’s never too early or too late to pursue your ambitions.
If you’re new to the job market or looking for change, put yourself in research mode. Go beyond a quick Google search and dive deep into the fundamentals of a job role, the types of companies in the industry, and whether the jobs match what you want from a career.
Let us walk you through the steps of how to find your dream job.
Bonus: Want to know how to make as much money as you want and live life on your terms? Download my FREE Ultimate Guide to Making Money
Key barriers to finding your dream job
Confidence and lack of knowledge are typical barriers that stop people in their tracks when searching for a job.
“I have no idea what my dream job is!” or “I don’t know how to find it; it’s simply not attainable.” Sound familiar?
It’s difficult because it’s confusing. It sounds like it would be simple but, in reality, it’s a huge decision with multiple conflicts. We are conflicted by our desires — passion vs. skill vs. show me the money. Then, there’s the conflict of worry — the worry of uncertainty, change, and failure.
For a lot of people, finding their ideal job indefinitely remains on the back-burner. There’s no real sense of urgency, partly because people are hesitant, confused, or fearful of where to start. People are so scared of getting it wrong that they don’t put the work in to get it right. On top of all these uncertainties and confusion, there’s also the fact that a lot of career advice out there is terrible and leaves you more confused than ever.
Barrier 1: You’re not getting specific
Researching any old job is a good start but to really dig deep into the different roles out there, you need to get specific.
The chances are you already have a few vague ideas of what type of roles sound interesting to you but you may not necessarily know the ins and outs. To get specific with your research, take one of your job ideas, and start with an overarching view of what the role entails.
This can be as basic as typing in a search term like ‘introduction to [job role].’ Once you have a basic understanding of what the job is, your work isn’t done. This is just the beginning, my friend. It’s time to get detailed. And, the only way to do that is to be specific and ask the right questions.
What is the workload in an average week vs. a busy week? Is there any continuing education or progression? What are the salaries like? What types of companies have this role? And so on.
Be specific in your research to get specific results.
Commit to defining exactly what you want
Conventional career-hunting advice is to send your resume to every job opportunity you see — and that might actually make sense if you’d be happy taking any job. But that’s not your goal. Your goal is to get up in the morning eager to clock-in and do your thing.
To find your dream job you’ll need to get specific:
What job do you want? Name it. Have the courage to exclude the ones you don’t.
What size company? Where is it located? Be grittily granular.
… And here’s the really important one …
What kinds of skills and experience do you need to land it? Quantify how you get there.
Everything in your resume and pitch should be hyper-focused on the answers you give to these questions. If you can do that, two things happen. First, you save time by no longer applying for dodgy jobs you don’t want anyway. Second, you make yourself look like a better employment prospect to the companies that actually count.
Get specific in 15 minutes or less
Here are a couple of things you can do right now to get specific:
Grab a sheet of paper and split it into 2 columns. In the first column list everything you know about what your dream job looks like. In column 2, bullet out the key characteristics of the kinds of jobs you don’t want. Stick this paper somewhere prominent as a daily reminder.
Grab a red pen (OK purple will do if red ink is scary). Go through every line of your current resume and scratch out generic, hedging, or vague statements. If it isn’t about the job you actually want, ditch it.
Congratulations. You just shifted your energy to that critical 20%.
Barrier 2: Self-sabotage
This might sound a bit “Dr. Phil” at first glance, but hear us out. We’re not suggesting something quite so asinine and patronizing as the idea that great self-esteem and chutzpah is all you need to land you a dream job. That’s dumb. Also, see point 1.
What we are saying though is that many job-seekers accidentally absorb a defeatist mindset. In fact, it happens to the best of us. Here’s the kind of self-sabotaging thoughts we’re talking about:
“I’m not qualified. Before I can even think about a new job I need to go back to school.”
“I’m lucky to have any job in this economy.”
“I should wait until things settle down before any big life changes.”
Don’t get us wrong. These thoughts aren’t stupid.
Skilling up is good! And of course, macroeconomics and other unpredictable variables are all real things that affect how your dream job search will play out. But none of these considerations (along with the myriad other excuses out there) need stop you from taking meaningful steps in the right direction … right now.
These ideas all have one thing in common. They push you to reflect on all the reasons why now isn’t a good time; why you’re not ready yet; why the world is just too scary a place to do something bold and daring like pursuing your dream.
Barrier 3: Passivity
This all circles around to the absolute importance of kicking passivity to the curb.
Think back to the 80/20 Rule for a moment: The idea that most of the biggest changes that’ll happen in your life boil down to a relatively slim sliver of critical crux points.
If you buy into this particular quirk of the universe, being awake for those moments suddenly becomes vitally important, right?
Yet the vast majority of people that are searching for their dream job hand the responsibility for delivering those all-or-nothing flash-points to someone else. Career-hunting passivity is everywhere, and takes many forms, like:
Trusting a job search algorithm to guide your job search.
Sending out a resume and desperately hoping the HR team gets back to you one day.
Relying on a recruiter to convince your dream company to give you a shot.
Laziness of this ilk squanders not one, but two of your most valuable resources.
One: Obviously, you’re wasting your time. We probably don’t need to offer too much exposition here on why metaphorically cramming filet mignon into a Mcdonald’s meat-grinder is unlikely to produce optimal results.
But you can’t overlook the negative knock-on effects on your motivation. You’re spinning headlong into a negative spiral here — where a perfect storm of rejection emails, lack of actionable data, and no real clue about what to do differently next time robs you of any desire to continue.
Why do this to yourself?
Passivity breeds failure, which in turn leads to the slow and abysmal process of … well … just giving up. The “80-percenter-zone” is a gray realm of mental laziness — of endlessly doing the same thing while expecting suddenly different results to miraculously manifest from miasmic mundanity. No.
How to find your dream job
Now that you’ve identified and sidestepped the common barriers to finding your dream job, here’s how to actually land the role you want.
1. Identify what’s important to you in a dream career
It’s not all about the job role itself. It’s about you. Be selfish. Yeah, focus on your skills and experience, but also, go beyond that. List what’s important to you in a career — personally and professionally. Dig deep.
People look for different things in a job. Some look for career progression or high salaries. Others look for ways to use their creativity, and some prioritize work/life balance. Knowing what is most important to you and figuring out your career values is key to finding your ultimate landing place.
Sure you can take an online personality test, but those can be vague and misguided. This self-discovery has to come from you personally. What type of working environment do you thrive in? Do you hate office politics, big competitive teams, or long hours? Perhaps you prefer to work independently, or you’re more of a team player.
All of these career values and expectations from a role/company need to be factored into your research. It could be that the idea of a job sounds interesting, but other aspects of working in those types of companies don’t appeal to you. There’s nothing wrong with that. This exercise is to rule out roles just as much as it is to find the right one.
Bonus: Want to finally start getting paid what you’re worth? I show you exactly how in my Ultimate Guide to Getting a Raise and Boosting Your Salary
The key to finding your end-goal career is good research. This goes beyond personality tests and snapshot career summaries on job sites.
2. Choose three job roles
Now, write down a list of potential jobs you think you might be interested in. We call this the Cloud Technique. Write down any career or job title you’ve been interested in, even if it just pops into your head. Then, head over to LinkedIn and other job sites to take a look through job descriptions. If anything jumps out, write that idea down too. Also, think about the skills you already have and search for careers that fit them. Are you creative? Google something like ‘best careers for creatives.’
Once you have your ideas listed, choose the most appealing few, and move to Step two.
3. Research each role
The next step is to spend quality time with your new potential job roles. Aim for at least an hour of solid research on each job title you have selected. In that hour, learn and absorb everything you can about the role. This is where you will want to find answers to those specific questions you had earlier.
What is the day-to-day of the job?
What is the career path?
Do you need qualifications?
What’s the average salary?
What is the company culture for typical roles like this?
The more specific you can be with these questions, the better. Find out more information beyond the snapshot introductions to a role. It’s good to learn both the positives and negatives ahead of time. At some point in your research, you may realize that a specific job is 100% not for you. Walk away and move on to the next idea.
After this exercise, decide whether you would love these jobs and whether you can get these jobs.
4. Prioritize your job titles
If you have three job roles you are still interested in working towards, prioritize them. By this point in your research, you should have a better understanding of which of the three you are most interested in and why. Keep in mind, we’re just brainstorming for now. Don’t worry if one of these doesn’t end up being the winning dream career.
Think carefully about how you prioritize the list. Is it by salary, average working hours, the day-to-day of the role? This will teach you more about what you value the most if you don’t already know.
5. Naturally network
This is where the real work of finding your dream job begins. It’s time to break out of your comfort zone and head into networking among colleagues and leaders in the industry. Find experts or business leaders in your potential field and see what they have to say. Comb websites, follow experts on YouTube, and engage with professionals on social media or with a short email. Yes, they are busy people but with the right communication skills, you could capture their attention and win them over.
This will teach you more about the job role but will also give you insight into the type of companies you could potentially work for. Notice everything — from the language that leaders in the industry use to the company’s ad campaigns.
This may sound like a lot of work. It is. But it’s worth it to find a career you feel happy and fulfilled in. Laying the groundwork now is the hard part, but having insight into and understanding different job roles and companies is invaluable to your dream career search.
Do the legwork, get the job
Many people are on the lookout for the perfect online tool, personality quiz, career advice website, or just a spark of inspiration, but the truth is, finding your dream career takes work.
Before you dive into research, take some time to understand what it is you want from a career. What are your values? In what type of working environment can you see yourself thriving?

How a Content Consultant Plays a Vital Role in the Content Marketing Campaigns?
Tumblr media
Everyone claims that content is king. At the same time, no one denies that content marketing actually works. However, most of these people remain vague about the role of a content consultant. A content consultant is a professional who sets the complete strategy of content marketing and executes the same. In this context, the consultant can do it all, starting from keyword research, content development to setting CTA strategies.
Why Go With a Content Consultant?
Convert your Reader Into Your Customer
A content marketing consultant is important as content is the ultimate thing that drives customers and makes him/her buy the product. Hence, the content needs to be really good. Now, a content consultant ensures that the content has the potency to drive customers towards it. For example, content needs to educate the target audience and solve a problem to accomplish the reader. One can approach selling something through content only after it offers some value. A content consultant ensures about all these.
Providing Clarity About Results
In most cases, people fail to reap the benefits out of content marketing. Moreover, they quit the process in the middle. In other words, they fail to keep patience till the process ends. Primarily, this happens when someone is unsure about how much time it takes for the success of content marketing. However, upon hiring an expert web content consultant, one can certainly have clarity regarding this. Most importantly, they don’t just claim; rather, they show the progress rate. Naturally, this convinces the investor about the result.
Establishing audience base
There are various ways of doing content marketing. However, it’s certainly not just about writing content. For example, no one cares if you simply share some updates about your company on your blog section or share on social media. Rather, one needs to ensure either the content is relevant or the audience is interested in it.
This is where the content marketer plays a big role. Moreover, they help to create a loyal audience base through organic traffic sources. Through the process, they obviously keep the content quality optimal. All in all, it helps in establishing the site and the content marketing strategy.
To write less and gain more!
One of the distinguishing aspects of content marketing is that it can deliver better results with less effort. For example, there are evergreen contents that simply keep on driving traffic forever. On the other hand, some people simply keep on putting content but gain very little. It is important to understand that one just can’t write anything random and expect it to be evergreen. There are many underneath aspects. For example, there are certain keywords that get searched more than others.
Now, even if you get top rank for a keyword with fewer searches, the number of visitors obviously remains less. On the other hand, ranking for a keyword gaining huge searches can driving immense traffic. In short, the selection of keywords is the key. All these things demand extensive knowledge, research, analysis, and experience. Specifically, it matters the most for digital content. Not anyone can handle these things with perfection. Hence, hiring an expert digital content consultant seems crucial.
Maintaining timing and variation of content
In general, most people don’t really understand the worth of timing for content. In this context, a simple example can be news content or PR content. These contents hold value only for a certain period. Indeed, it is essential to take these things into account. Similarly, varying the content topic is equally important to stay relevant over search engines.
No matter you produce hundreds of contents, it all goes worthless if these are not fresh or up-to-the-minute. It requires thorough research to find the best titles or topics. Now, this is where a content development consultant plays a major role. They suggest the content and strategize things well regarding keyword selection, timing, audience, trends, etc.
Establishing the publishing and promoting platform
The platform for publishing and promoting the content is as important as quality and other aspects. In this context, one simply can’t just pick a popular website, publish content, and expect a good result. Instead, selecting an authority site with a relevant audience base is essential. Furthermore, the contents should be optimal in terms of their inbound and outbound linking. A content development consultant can handle all these things for the client with perfection.
So, we can say a content consultant is like the captain of a content marketing ship. Starting from preparing the strategies, automating the content distribution, to reviewing and mapping, a consultant can handle it all. So, all in all, a content consultant can deliver the total value of money on content marketing.
