Day 15. March.1.2017 cont.
First day of school woop woop!! It feels wonderful to be back in class. Not even kidding. My first lecture was from 9-11 in World’s Great Thinkers I and its for philosophy and religion majors so I was out of my common classes for sure. Two hours is a long time to sit and listen to things that are not quite interesting yet. I prevailed. Then I had an Australian history lecture 1-3 which was harder to follow than the first class! It’s in a large lecture hall/ theater so there’s heaps of us and it echoes. When we actually got to the lecture portion, her points of history were all over the place and I could not follow nor could any of the other Americans. It’d be helpful if we had the basics of Australian history but we don’t ha! I’ll get use to it no worries. I’m happy to be here! What I did learn was really interesting so I’m eager to learn more about this subject. I had a tutorial on the Australian history class and what a tutorial is is a smaller section of people who are in the class and they discuss it. Its definitely a long day spanning 9-5 but its allll good. Thursday I just have World Religions from 9-11. AND THEN ITS THE WEEKEND. This Friday, a group of mainly internationals/exchange students are going to Port Stephens. This is the description of it :
Friday, March 3: PORT STEPHENS ADVENTURE!
Get to know your fellow UON students as we take a road trip to Port Stephens! Jump on board a Moonshadow Cruises dolphin cruise! Relax and unwind with boomnet rides, dolphin spotting, and beautiful scenery including the spectacular Tomaree and Yacaaba headlands. Visit the Irukandji Shark and Ray Centre for a guided tour of this interactive aquarium, home to over 190 shark, ray and marine species. You can even jump into a wetsuit and get up close and personal in the water with these amazing creatures. The excursion also includes a brewery tour and lunch of gourmet pizzas at Murray's Brewery.
How fun is THIS going to be?! Im pumped!!! Pray it doesn’t rain. It looks like it could but who knows.
Post class, Shelby and I were ready to feast and so after a long debacle, we decided to go to Gomez y Guzman (thx Kate for the suggestion) with James and Evan. IT WAS DELICIOUS! I got a burrito bowl and some chips and pico with a Corona. It was a complete meal. My favorite here thus far! As a bonus, we got ice cream after hehehheheeh. Waffle cone baby with mint and cookies & cream. My tums was so happy. AND AND AND IN A TREE ON THE STREET WERE LEGIT TWEETING BIRDS. TWEETING BIRDS. James and I were so pumped. I made sure to linger under that tree.
On our way back to our tower, we spotted a creature! I had no idea what it was. Animals are so different here. Turns out it was a possum! A common brushtail possum :
They are so much cuter than the opossums in the US right?! You can see how I was confused when they said possum.

Everyone prepare yourselves because this is a looong one
I've already posted this but, I had Pico meet a Saint Bernard!
I also saw this one post with Pico and his mom talking about him being single and thought it'd be cute if she found out about Bao in this same scenario!
The top image is based on the fun fact that Pico sometimes misses being on his mom's back and the other one... well I think it speaks for himself
Baby Pico and Todd, nothing else to be noted
Other than the fact I've literally never drew Todd in my life
And of course, I could not make this Pico board without the love of his life Bao!
I feel like they would catch each other just staring at the other. Just absolutely lovestruck, as you do. I also added little clicks to symbolize the action male opossums do to attract mates, because I thought it was cute!
Raccoon-bear boyfriend.
This poor poor tanuki.
They kiss by giving each other nose boops, your honor! I rest my case. Bao would start doing it to annoy Pico, but then Pico would start loving them and be the only thing he does, mainly to get Bao's attention.
(One a side note: Helli.. look, I love Bao. I really really do, but he is SO HARD TO DRAW, I can't with him I'm sorry. I love him though.)
And to end this long post off... Helli.. I give you this

Drew Helli's son again
I had a bucket hat, but I feel like Pico would like them. I thought it'd be funny if it was one that had ears (was originally gonna make it so his ears popped out of the hat).
Idk Pico's opinion on bears, but I do know his opinion on bear traps. I think it'd be cute and heartwarming if he felt bad for bears because humans made such painful traps to catch them in

It was refreshing to do, though it got me into a mythological and folklore mood (which is dangerous for me as I love mythology and spiritual stuff to my very core) and I'm going to try not the do a bunch of research and learning on it for the rest of the day
