We need a Sans from Dusttale yandere alphabet, please!
Sure! Here's more angst content, lol :) This was written on PC, I am sorry for any formatting errors. Due to plot, character, and how Alphabets work... I suggest reading the concept I did for him for a more in depth idea, lol (Sorry, Alphabets are getting repetitive to me so I'm just trying to get some old ones done.)
Original Concept Here
Yandere Alphabet - Murder Sans
Pairing: Romantic/Platonic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Delusional behavior, Forced affection, Stalking, Manipulation, Murder/Mercy killing, Death cycle, Angst, Mind break (Sans), Kidnapping mentioned, Trauma, Dark themes, Dubious/Forced companionship/relationship.
Tumblr media
Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?
Compared to usual Sans, this Sans grows to be more twisted with affection. For this Alphabet I'll do my favorite way to write Murder! Sans. He used to be just as affectionate as regular Sans, but due to the new Genocide loop... his affection is more deranged. He comes off more forceful and delusional with you in this AU. As a result, he's more intense. He hunts you down like a wild animal, treating you like you're his close buddy/lover... Only to kill you, apologizing for the action and promising he'll make things all better in the end.
Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?
Messy. This is a Genocide timeline, after all. Sans has learned to adapt and is often volatile. This includes when he's around his obsession.
Cruelty: How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?
Unfortunately, kidnapping doesn't come across Sans' mind in this AU. He's so focused on gaining levels and is so tormented at seeing his obsession die to The Human that he'd end up killing them instead. He's tried kidnapping in at least one timeline, though. He's tried to protect you, even if you hated him, but it always ends the same.
He wouldn't mock you, in fact when he thought the idea could work he wanted to protect and care for you... but now it just seems like a pointless idea.
Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?
At first he doesn't want to, but eventually he learns he may have to if he wants his happy ending with you and those he loves.
Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?
Sans used to express his love for you openly, he used to be very loving like Classic Sans. However, when he was forced to watch you suffer... he couldn't bring himself to be so open and happy with you anymore. Nowadays he comes off as cold and crazy.
Always chasing an ending he may never reach.
Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?
He expects it, part of him feels upset... part of him feels joy... but in the end he wants things over with quickly.
He promises he'll make your death quick, he'll do this as many times as he needs to, he'll get you both a happy ending eventually.
Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?
No and he hates it... but he can't blame you.
Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?
You never remember it, but it's no doubt the betrayal of Sans killing you... perhaps it's a blessing that you don't remember it... but it's a curse to Sans...
He's the one who has to kill you over and over and remember it, every RESET.
Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?
Eventually he wants to have a happy ending in a "Pacifist-like" timeline. He wants to spend that timeline with you... no longer dealing with the human... just you and him once again.
He hopes you'll forgive him for his sins... it hurts him to think of your countless deaths.
Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?
This issue with this Sans is he doesn't have time to feel jealous. Perhaps at one point he'd playfully get jealous with you, seeming moody but eventually making up. Now? If he ever got jealous he could probably just kill them anyways.
Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?
Obsessive, Observing, Sadistic, Delusional, Manipulative, Volatile, and a little Caring... but such a trait has changed throughout the routes.
Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?
Originally, Sans would've probably had a healthy relationship with you in the past. Be that as friends in some routes, or lovers in others, you two originally got along fine.
However, when the Genocide Routes started, he kept getting worse. These routes sparked paranoia, delusion, and an overwhelming need to protect you. However, such feelings only got worse throughout the routes.
His obsession hits its peak when he realizes the only way to save his obsession is to kill them to be strong enough to defeat the human.
But... who knows if he'll even be successful in that?
Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?
Eventually, no.
Naughty: How would they punish their darling?
Originally he stuck with isolation, restraints, caging you in bones... but soon punishment is the least of his worries.
Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling?
Originally, none. But now you could argue that he'd take nearly all.
Patience: How patient are they with their darling?
I'd say he is patient to an extent. He originally was very understanding and patient... yet now he's a much different monster than he was before.
Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?
He's seen it hundreds of times at this point, at some point he feels a bit numb... but deep down it still hurts and he wants to move on so bad.
Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?
When he still attempted it, yes, he felt guilty but knew he couldn't let you go.
Stigma: What brought about this side of them (childhood, curiosity, etc)?
The trauma of the Genocide Loop.
Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?
Part of him still feels horrible about it, but he tells himself it's "just one more time" and continues his actions. He loves you... but it must be done.
Unique: Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?
SKIPPED
Vice: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?
Unless you also want to attempt a Genocide Route or kill The Human... there isn't one I can think of.
Wit’s end: Would they ever hurt their darling?
Unfortunately, yes. Even if he hates it.
Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length would they go to win their darling over?
Not a worship yandere. But... he clearly really wants to give you both a happy ending, even at the cost of your own demise.
Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?
He doesn't really pine.
Zenith: Would they ever break their darling?
Honestly, he's more broken than you but he'd break his darling in both ways.

Finished BG3 (finally)! Some thoughts, pretty much all about Karlach:
I ended up freeing Orpheus and letting him turn Karlach into an illithid. I definitely understand the criticism of her storyline not having a proper happy ending, I was feeling pretty terrible about her options up to that point, but when she spoke up and volunteered to do this, suddenly something clicked in my Dragon Age fan brain:
Her role in the story is to be your Alistair.
Her role, narratively, is to be the one to take the burden of this sacrifice from your PC if you don't want to sacrifice them.
As soon as that clicked, her entire story made sense to me. Of course you can't fully fix her engine. If you could fix it, if she had the option of being completely well and able to live the life she wants, why would she volunteer to change herself?
Of course, they could have written it so that any of your companions volunteer, because they love you or because they're just a good person or for any other reason. They could have written that story and given Karlach a different ending, but that's not the story they wrote. Her ending isn't incomplete, it's just not the path most players want for her.
I'm sure there are arguments over whether or not it's better to convince her to return to Avernus. I've watched the scene you get with her there and she seems happy enough. But for me personally, after she spent the entire game telling me repeatedly that she would rather die than ever return to that place, after she grieved for herself and then seemingly came to terms with her death, having her step up and say, "This. I want to do this. Please let me do it." when discussing becoming a mindflayer with Orpheus... how could I not let her do that?
It's still tragic, yes. We're told several times that mindflayers don't have souls, and in the last (romance) conversation with her she was definitely starting to change. But it was her choice, and she expressed more than once how happy she was that she made it. Happy she gets to live, even if it's in a different way.
About the ending itself, I enjoyed it! There were some graphic issues as my PC struggled with all the characters and things happening, but no other technical issues. I was expecting a little more epilogue for the companions, but that's also my Dragon Age brain.
Definitely doing a Dark Urge run next.

tell me your deepest darkest secrets 🛠💖📈🎉
I will tell you some surface level things about my writing. How's that for a deal!?
🛠What tools/programs/apps do you use to write?
I live and die by Scrivener. Although switching from Scrivener on a Mac to Scrivener on a PC almost had me committing murder, I did it because I love that fucking program.
I have occasionally used my Notes app to write and I have a Google Doc called "Scenes Out of Time and Place" where I write when I'm away from my computer but there's a scene that's latched onto my throat and won't let go. But it all, always, gets copy/pasted to Scrivener.
My original works are mostly written by hand into notebooks, though, and then transcribed into (you guessed it!) Scrivener once I think they're done or they're going somewhere my writing hand isn't fast enough to follow and I need my typing fingers.
💖 What made you start writing?
I couldn't not.
That's literally all there is to it. From as far back as I can remember, I couldn't not create stories and it made more sense to write them down than let them float around in my brain. I've never really understood the sense of having a "calling" but I guess it's kind of like that. Maybe?
Except it's porn instead of, like, humanitarianism.
📈 How many fics do you have?
I have 80 works on AO3 right now, but I've deleted several works (as you know) in the last few months. I'm definitely over 100 completed fics and, if you add in wips (even the ones I know now that I won't ever finish), it's probably up near 150.
Original work probably brings the total up somewhere near 175.
Please do not ask me how long it took me to write all those fics. I carry that information to my death with great shame.
🎉 What leads you to consider a fic a success?
Boy do I love accolades!!! But a fic is only really a success to me if it feels good to have written it. Which is actually something I have to remind myself of frequently, and also something I think you've literally told me at least twice.
It's cool when readers love something or it inspires other art or whatever, but ultimately I wrote it for me. My fics don't put food on the table or keep the lights/heat on, they're just little stories I weave to entertain myself.

Welcome and Tag Masterlist
hello and welcome! i love playing TTRPGs, and as it says in the bio, i have Too Many Thoughts about my PCs from my various campaigns to keep them to myself anymore. so i made this sideblog to infodump about my beloved PC blorbos!
as a general note, this is not a family-friendly blog. there's a lot of adult language, adult themes, and written descriptions of TTRPG violence that can at times get pretty gorey. i do tag potential triggers by the specific post and try hide more triggering parts of posts under cuts, but i am only one human. please feel free to let me know (either publicly or privately) if i missed a trigger tag or if there is something you would like me to tag for!
also please feel free to send me asks about any of the characters or campaigns, or even just TTRPG things in general. i love these topics and will gladly take any opportunity to chat about them!
finally. there's a lot of blorbos on this blog, and a lot of NPCs, and a lot of campaigns, and a lot of tags, so under the cut here is a handy little guide to help keep them all straight!*
*disclaimer: nothing and no one here is straight. i am incapable of making characters and stories that aren't queer and so are most of the people i play with.
without further ado, the campaigns! i will probably be redoing my campaign intros and character intros at some point, and will add the links for those once completed. these are listed as Campaign Title, System Used, in reverse chronological order.
Curse of Strahd, DnD 5e my current obsession. this is a heavily homebrewed version of Curse of Strahd (like, we're talking a good 80% or more homebrew) DMed by my husband, @somethingclevermahogony. it's all of your dark queer gothic horror dreams come true! this campaign is just absolutely chalk full of dead doves like body horror, child abuse and death (almost entirely off-screen), animal cruelty, body horror, gallows humor, cannibalism, oh my god so much gore, and body horror. but don't let that get you down; there's also a lot of very funny and very heartwarming moments in this campaign and the worldbuilding our DM does is so fucking cool. this is also technically two campaigns, as we have both a present day game with two PCs, based on the Curse of Strahd book, and a prequel campaign with just me as a player, which delves into some of the history around when Barovia was first closed off from the rest of Faerun, roughly 400 years before the main campaign. in the present day, i play a human tempest cleric named Cerris Dalca Tempescu, who is just so very very tired. our other PC is Shalden Broadfist, a purple half-orc paladin who serves a desert worm cult. our party is rounded out with a couple of NPCs; Vasillica, a flesh golem made out of pieces of the bodies and souls of at least a dozen different people by an insane angel, and Milo, an adorable little klepto halfling boy who used to be the Bagman and still has Bagman powers. in the prequel, i play Kire Dalca, a human eldritch knight fighter who came to Barovia as part of the original war effort against Strahd and then got trapped in Barovia. coincidentally, she's Cerris's many many greats aunt and she's also so very very tired (and maybe pregnant shhh). the tag for the present day campaign is #curse of strahd homebrew, and the prequel is #curse of strahd prequel, and you can find them both or general CoS things under #curse of strahd. recurring character tags include #cerris tempescu for my cleric, #shalden broadfist for my companion PC, #ireena my beloved for (of course) the brilliant NPC Ireena Kolyana, #meow meow milo and #the bagman for Milo, and #kire dalca for my fighter. pretty soon there will also probably be tags for the secondary PCs we made as backup characters in case our first PCs die, as they have actually both been introduced in canon now.
Hot Gay Pirates in Your Area! Avatar Legends: The RPG my other current campaign, with my college TTRPG group (which includes my husband as a player). it's set in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender, during the era of Kyoshi. specifically, it's late summer in 250BG (Before Genocide). there are some promised darker elements, as well as a lot of enemy deaths, due to the nature of this campaign, but overall it's a very fun, chaotic, and queer story! we play as a party of pirates/smugglers on a small ship called The Confusion, working for the Ruike clan, a coastal Fire Nation crime family. our total ship crew currently numbers 10, with four PCs, but it might very well get bigger given that we started with a crew of 9. i play Aila Ruike, granddaughter of the head of the clan and heir apparent after her father. she serves as The Confusion's sort of second in command, and is a talented firebender and swordswoman, though she's much better at environmental control and defense than offense. she's stoic and stern and kind of mean in a hot way, and has two priorities in life: upholding her family honor and taking care of her team. my husband plays Bo of the Foggy Swamp Tribe, a waterbender who ran away from home to avoid the pressures and responsibility of leadership. he's flirty and silly and a little bit vicious in battle (his bending style is based on the US "boxing" style rough-and-tumble), and pretends to be a lot dumber than he actually is. we also have Onartok of the Southern Water Tribe, a sweet but naïve waterbender prince who, like Bo, ran away from home to avoid the pressures of leadership. before joining the crew, he was "roommates" with Aila's cousin Jai. and finally, the enigmatic Lì, a former EK child soldier who ran away from the army and is now a fabulous genderfluid pirate who goes off on violent side-quests with Aila while the waterbenders are doing nice people side-quests. tags for this campaign include #hot gay pirates in your area!, #our ship is called the confusion for a reason, #atla, and #aila ruike.
Acquisitions, Incorporated: Cauldron & Kettle Questing Company, DnD 5e this was our second campaign with our college TTRPG group, and was a fun romp set in the world of Acquisitions, Inc., an actual play podcast by Penny Arcade based around the idea of "classic adventuring parties but make it capitalism." it was primarily played out of the official Acquisitions, Inc., playbook, with some additional homebrew expansions and a nice little extra homebrew arc on the end that introduced us to the incredible chaos of the D10,000 wild magic table. we played as the Cauldron & Kettle Questing Co., a subsidiary branch of the larger Acq Inc. corporation, based in Phandalin. at our branch, we also owned a tea shop named the Cauldron & Kettle Cafe, and we had a steam-powered teapot-shaped vehicle dubbed the Tea Trolley. this campaign accidentally ended up going very hard on the found family vibes. i played Jun Vyardes, a half-elf light cleric/bard, travelling priestess of the fire and revelry goddess Vestia. she's very devoted to her found family, and after a life of wandering, is finally starting to learn how to settle down and grow roots. my husband played Tim Cobbletoss, a half-orc barbarian primarily raised by a blind halfling woman, so in personality he's basically a british grandma with occasional anger issues. he and Jun share a human father we affectionately referred to as Daddy Bard, who is such a terrible father that complaining about him is actually part of how these two started bonding. we also had Briny (played by the same person as Onartok), a goblinoid blood hunter who likes shells and the ocean and gambling even though they don't actually know anything about gambling; and Taku (played by the same person as Lì), a whooping crane aarakocra monk who is very smart and powerful and unfortunately also fragile, and whom Jun regarded as a little brother and became very protective of. tags for this campaign include #acquisitions incorporated, #Cauldron & Kettle Questing Co., #bard is only one letter away from bad (for Daddy Bard nonsense), #jun vyardes, and #tim and jun.
The Orphic Uprising and The Amazonomachy, Cypher these were two continuous arcs that together formed the first campaign with our college TTRPG group. they were set in the world of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, so we sometimes refer to them collectively as the PJO campaign. we played as a group of Camp Half-Blood kids, all in their late teens by the end of the story. in The Orphic Uprising, it was a group of four of us sent on a prophecy quest to the Underworld to rescue Dionysus and prevent the children of Nyx's attempted takeover of Olympus. in the Amazonomachy, it was a group of five sent out to prevent the Amazons' attempted takeover of Olympus, because apparently Olympus just cannot catch a break! i played Nina Grayson, daughter of Nike, a talented gymnast, dancer, and rock-climber lowkey obsessed with victory and willing to fight a little dirty if that's what it took to win. i had a lot of fun with her mechanically, as she was basically an unkillable damage- and debuff-dealing machine--she just, ya know, also didn't really have any social skills and was very much a himbo. iconic himbo acts of hers include solving a puzzle by punching a horse statue in the face, getting set on fire and then putting it out by drenching herself in monster blood, solving a locked door problem by punching the lock open, splitting the party to go undercover with the Amazons without telling her friends she was only fake-betraying them, and punching a bitchy goddess so hard it temporarily killed her. i love her. at some point she acquired the nickname Larry. my husband played Chuck Hickey, an Italian-American son of Dionysus who lived on his grandparents' vineyard who really embraced the chaotic side of his godly heritage. silly and goofy but also a talented battle strategist, highly charismatic, and capable of turning into a fire-breathing leopard. cause, ya know, Dionysus. the other character present for both arcs was Beatrice Starveling, a NY-based daughter of Apollo raised by her two gay dads. she was an incredible performer, a true bardic legend, and alongside Chuck, played a key part in helping Nina come out of her shell. for The Orphic Uprising, our final party member was . . . i gotta be honest i don't remember his name, just that he was kind of an obnoxious Mary Sue type son of Aphrodite, who the rest of us all had a grand time poking fun at and complaining about when the player did not return for the second arc. for The Amazonomachy, we welcomed two new players and their PCs, Bryce (played by the same person as Onartok and Briny) and Murph (played by the same person as Lì and Taku). Bryce was a dumbass (affectionate) son of Eros who was sweet and well-meaning but generally clueless, and somehow had really good game with the ladies. Murph was a son of Epimetheus (hindsight), a surfer bro and himbo extraordinaire with amazing luck and an incredible knack for having just the right tool for the job, somehow. tags for this campaign include #confusion crew, #the orphic uprising, #the amazonomachy, and #nina grayson.
North Pines Camp, Monster of the Week, and Grovington College, Demon Hunters: A Comedy of Terrors these two campaigns were my first dives into TTRPGs, both with the same GM and both with slightly altered versions of the same PC for me, so the GM and i had a few fun inside jokes and callbacks during the second one. these were played before i met my husband and before i got good at note-taking, so my memory of them is very hazy. tbh any content posted about these two will be undetailed, completely out of context, and full of holes, but the basic shenanigans are still very fun to look back on. North Pines Camp was a kids' summer camp in ?????, built on top of what used to be monster-hunter training grounds. our PCs were all camp employees, and our main goal was typically to keep the kids safe (or rescue them) from whatever ~monster of the week~ showed up to wreak havoc. there was a deeper mystery element running through it, about what happened to the old monster-hunter camp here, but we never got far enough into the story to really get anywhere with it. Grovington College was a decently sized college with greek life located in Grovington, ?????, USA; it housed a chapter of the Brotherhood, a demon/monster-slaying organization. our PCs were all members of this chapter, tasked with taking care of various demon and monster problems around campus and the town as a whole, in between doing college student/professor things. in these campaigns, i played Indigo Sullivan, a queer psychic with both a caffeine and an attitude problem. technically they were two separate characters for the two campaigns, but like, the version of him that continues to roll around in my head is an amalgam of both PCs plus all the additional things i've tacked onto him as time has gone on. most of those additions can be summed up as "he's now even more queer and has even more problems." tags for these campaigns are #north pines camp, #grovington college, and #indigo sullivan.
and that is all of them, phew! that's a lot thank you for reading this all and please enjoy my blog!

26. You must swap one nat 1 die roll with one nat 20 die roll. They must both be from the main campaigns, but can be cross-campaign. Which are they, and why?
Ooooof, how dare you make me have to do research for this? :vvv
See, I'm torn between making them both of similar magnitude or pulling a cheap shot and taking a nat 20 that didn't matter much to swap for a nat 1 that did matter.
Okay, let's take two important ones and make them both WORSE, because I'm a bastard
For the 1 -> 20, hmmm let's say Caleb trying to persuade Essek to pretty please let him invite mages that want to kill them both onto this expedition. Gives Liam his bisexual maelstrom early, and it would so badly fuck with their dynamics. Would Caleb backshift into bad coping mechanisms? Would Essek call him out? Would Trent or Astrid or Wulf try to kill either of them? What the fuck! Just about one of the few times I think a high roll would actually be worse for everyone involved. Another that came to mind was Kaylie's initial confrontation with Scanlan. (A good one to turn into a 20 would be the Sunken Tomb 'Sam immediately jokes it's instant death and SIKE IT IS', because it would change SO MUCH of the campaign.)
For the 20 -> 1 :) well since you got me in an angsty mood :) True Love's Nat 20 made into True Love's Nat 1. Even if the roll had succeeded over-all thanks to the other contributions, I can't see Percy coming back if he didn't hear Vex specifically. We'd have Molly in Campaign 1. Vex might do something reckless and Briarwoods-esque to bring him back (winks loudly at Nova). Completely derail everything. (Of course, there's any number of villain Nat 20s turning into Nat 1s would likely be huge net positives, but I don't feel like researching any more than I already have :V)
37. You have to take a 16 hour road trip with one NPC from each campaign (all at once, ie, three other people). The NPCs cannot shorten the road trip in any way and the road trip must be via driving but you can do it in two 8 hour days and share a motel room if you'd like. Who do you pick?
... I read this as PC at first FUCK ME. Including the two I'd written for PCs + why I didnt pick my fav under the cut as a lil bonus.
a) Essek. Okay, hear me out: yes he is a war criminal, but he's also dealt with trying to get grant money and as someone procrastinating on two deadlines rn? mood. I'd poke his brain for hours about blasphemous magic if I could. Also, soup is cheap for when we're done for the day and an easy meal. I think he'd either be a perfectionist backseat driver or a panicky one and either way the research talk is worth it to me ok. I'll survive.
b) Vesper - never said specials were excluded, and she IS in her 30s by this point in the timeline! We have no clue about her personality, but I think, given her family, she's likely very smart and good conversation. Has money to throw at any problems we run into. Also allows me to get De Blorbo lore without wanting to throttle her dad. If she doesn't count because she's a Baby in the oneshot she's in, I guess Cass? Look I adore her but I worry she's never driven a day in her life + trauma + is a noble would make her a pain in the ass to be stuck in a car with, BUT I love her enough I'd take it in stride For Her.
c) Imahara Joe. Look! He's a vibe! If anything goes wrong he can fix it! He can keep conversation going! I have huge Mythbusters nostalgia!
a) Caleb! I think we could talk about our respective cats for hours, or I'd hope we could, and talk magic-science, and Keen Mind would make keeping rest stops/the time/maps/etc. in mind a breeze. And if he isn't up to talk he would just! be quiet! and read a book! which is good for my stress brain! And if both of us are overstimmed that's a 50% vote on getting people to turn the music fucking down so we can relax.
b) Fjord, actually? He's captn' Tusktooth, he knows how to organize a voyage and what goes into sharing cramped quarters with other people for hours on end and how to keep distracted and not kill eachother. Plus, Star Razor is a convenient flashlight if ever. His music selection would also likely be fun to sing as a whole car together - shanties or good roadtrip songs.
c) oufff this one's hard.
(I'm Not saying Percy because so help me I'd want to throttle him within the hour. Beau would bully me I think. Both are also so hot and my favs I think I'd die and be incapable of driving. Laudna would also make Noises with her Existing and I think I'd lose my marbles, sorry babe :c)

für die weird questiosn: 3, 4, 6, 7, 13, 15, 21, 36, 39, 40 :)
thank you! c:
3. What is your writing ritual and why is it cursed? - does staring at a blank document until i get distracted by tumblr or my birds count? idk it just happens a lot, i don't have a set ritual ^^
4. What’s a word that makes you go absolutely feral? - I. uhhh. uhm... I genuinely can't think of one rn, sorry ._.
6. What is your darkest fear about writing? - maybe not the darkest but I'm scared of never finishing anything again because almost all of my long-ish stories are unfinished and as I get closer to the end of my young!Cotta AU it gets harder and harder to write
7. What is your deepest joy about writing? - sharing ideas and scenes and vibes that stick with me for weeks or even months with other people and getting to enjoy them experiencing it too! that's why I care so much about comments on my fics, i just love love love talking about characters and plotlines and symbolism with other people!!
13. What is a subject matter that is incredibly difficult for you write about? What is easy? - realistic police proceedings (which I am blessed to be able to ask @daughterofhecata about) and even more so how policemen talk to each other. MAJOR problem atm argh. easy is brooding, overthinking and mentally unstable characters (I wonder why...) ^^"
15. Do you write in the margins of your books? Dog-ear your pages? Read in the bath? Why or why not? Do you judge people who do these things? Can we still be friends? - nope, nope and not really - I sometimes put little notes into my assigned reading in school but don't do that with my normal reading, I don't like dog-earing anything and I don't have a bathtub (when I had one I actually took a book in there with me but my glasses got foggy and I can't really read withouth them ^^); i also don't judge people for doing it cause books usually aren't that "special" (unless you'd like, dog-ear some really rare book or a manuscript but I assume people have more sense than to do that)
21. Could you ever quit writing? Do you ever wish you could? Why or why not? - I don't know. I've thought about quitting several times because the interaction with others is what keeps me going the most and since comments get less and less it's really frustrating at times. I've been at the "what even is the point?!" stage in writing quite a lot, especially since I've started working full time and spend what little free time I have writing so not doing it would mean not spending most of my free time on the PC like I do at work. on the other hand, then I'd never get all these scenes and characters bothering me out of my mind
36. They say to Write What You Know. Setting aside for a moment the fact that this is terrible advice…what do you Know? - I know a lot about really specific little niches in art history (unpainted medieval wood sculptures, Cambodian architecture from 1950-72, ...), the Middle Ages in general and medieval German literature in particular and especially heroic medieval stories - and I love incorporating some of these in my writing! I've actually written quite a few stories that involve art/art history - sadly, silly medieval wannabe-heroes haven't really fit into any story yet but that could be so much fun too ^^
39. What keeps you writing when you feel like giving up? - the characters not shutting the hell up in my head, shiny new ideas that I can latch on to (and to be cheesy on main bc this especially goes for the AU: @daughterofhecata bc of all the support ♥)
40. Please share a poem with me, I need it. - okay, technically this isn't a poem but I'm obsessed with Der Welt Lohn (Verserzählung mit Reimen, das zählt!) and especially the artistic depictions of Frau Welt

Random Otome Games Questions
Hello everyone! I’ve seen a “15 questions for otome gamers” going around on, so why not posting my answers here. I figured it being otome would help other otome lovers express their love for the games too.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1- Please Talk about your name!
So hellcatinnc was picked up by a friend of mine we were doing a roleplay as teens in second life. I was a hellcat smoking cigarettes, spray painting walls etc all in roleplay. So the town we roleplayed in called me hellcat and it stuck. Most sites see hell as a curse word so I had to start adding to it so I just put innc cause I'm from North Carolina.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2- What made you begin playing otome games?
I love story games especially dating aspect then I found my first game was hooked and needed more.

14- Which otome games do you plan to buy next year?
Sympathy Kiss, Cupid Parasite sweet and spicy darling, Tengoku Struggle -Strayside, Matsurika no Kei -kEi- Tenmei Iniden, Foamy Euclonia, KALEIDO TOWER
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15- If you could erase your memory to replay one game, what should it be?
I would relive Amnesia Memories Ikki's route for sure... that and Dante in Piofiore so I could fall in love with them again.

Later that day, Griffon was staring too hard at Nico ( who was holding an ice pack against her head ) as she rewinded again and again at a certain video that one of the spy cameras captured last night. V ( who was idly waving off the cigarette smoke that wafted too close to his nostrils ) was on another table nearby studying the photos that she found.
"What are ya doin' now?" Griffon asked the woman for the third time that day as she furrowed her eyebrows in confusion at what she was trying to capture.
"Will ya shut yer beak for a while? I'm tryin' to concentrate." Nico answered as she clicked harshly on her mouse once more.
It was the same for V. He studied the photographs ( or what was written on them ) and read (Y/N)'s journal ( which, by the way, manifested another entry ) over and over again but, the dots doesn't seem to connect, at all.
Yes, the two looked like they were very much in love. Yes, they met during that summer gathering that May of 1898. However, he just couldn't see what their connection was with the ghosts that were haunting this mansion.
And most importantly, he just couldn’t see the reason why (Y/N) would change into that emotionless matriarch in the portrait.
If she’s truly happy, then why would - ?
Unless,…
V took a photograph of Victor reading something to (Y/N), who was sitting right next to him. He turned it and read the simple writings at the back.
I wish we could stay like this for a while.
V's eyes narrowed at the message. The name of whoever wrote in it, whether it was (Y/N) or Victor, was not indicated, and the feeling of dread that he suddenly felt in it spelled something entirely worse in his mind.
"Shit!" Nico muttered as she slammed on her table, startling Griffon in the process.
V looked at the other photographs and found similar looking shots of the couple looking very happy. And as he rightfully suspected, they all bore the same vague messages at the back.
I love you. So much.
I missed you. So badly, it hurts.
I hope you're happy, wherever you are.
That last message startled the poet. "I hope you're happy, wherever you are." He read again, this time, out loud. He turned the photo and saw Victor holding hands with (Y/N) as they looked at each other with content smiles on their face. She was wearing what looked like a lace veil on her head and they were both wearing similar rings. There were people cheering for them on the background and he even saw (Y/N)'s maidservant throwing petals at them.
Wait. Is this,... their wedding?
He looked once more at the photograph. It can't be a wedding since the "event" merely took place in the library / music room. He looked harder once more,...
... until he finally noticed something strange. It was only a very little detail but, he was certain of it. On the left corner of the photo was a male figure standing away from the others. It was really hard to see his face considering the poor quality of the old photo but, V was a hundred percent sure that he doesn't look happy for the couple.
He took another photograph from the box and saw the same group of people ( the couple was now kissing and looking absolutely happy ) and the same, strange man, his face still unrecognizable. He grabbed the pictures he was looking at and realized, to his utter horror, that every time (Y/N) and Victor were involved in a single photograph, the strange one would invade the scene like an unwanted visitor.
And he still couldn't see his face.
He needed to see more. He needed to -
"Holy hell!" Griffon exclaimed, now startling V and putting him out of his concentration. "V, look at this!"
The poet obliged and left his temporary workplace to look at what Nico and his familiar were doing. Nico waited for V to arrive, and when he finally did, she showed him a clip from the video she trimmed. She even slowed it down several times, and the result was mind - blowing.
All three of them stared in disbelief as they saw V making his way to (Y/N)'s room, and when he vanished a few seconds later, something materialized on the place where he stood. It was only for a split - second but, it was unmistakable: they saw a man clothed in white,...
Both Griffon and Nico shrieked in fright at the top of their lungs as they heard a loud banging on the front door. V, being the only ( slightly ) sane person left, stood and opened it. He was greeted by a group of middle - aged women smiling at him like nobody's business.
"What can I do for you?" He politely asked, his low voice giving the women some chills of the unspeakable kind.
"Is this the Lancaster residence?" The woman asked, her wide smile giving V some creeps of the unspeakable kind.
"Why, yes. It is."
V's eyebrows shot up to his hairline as the middle - aged women giggled and shrieked and slapped each other in the arms at the same time.
"The groom is charming!"
"He's such a hottie!"
"Lucky bride!"
"AAHH!"
"Groom?" Nico questioned as she joined V at the door. "What are these hags doin' here?"
"I have no idea." V answered. He cleared his throat and addressed the women. "If you are looking for - "
The leader of the group, who wore the heaviest makeup among all of them, took V's hands and shook it over and over in excitement. "I would like to inform you that today is your lucky day, Mr. Francisco!"
"I believe you have the wrong person - "
"And you must be Ms. Edwards! Oh, my! It's so nice to finally meet you."
"We're not - "
"So, can we start the planning for the layout of the wedding of the century now?"
"I'm sorry but - "
"AHEM!"
All of them turned to see the real Mr. Francisco and Ms. Edwards just behind the women, giving them weird looks with raised eyebrows.
"You're looking for us?" Avery asked as she crossed her arms over her shoulders.
*
"We definitely have to solve this problem soon." V told Nico and Griffon a few minutes later as Avery and Roman brought the wedding planners to the garden to have their meeting regarding their upcoming event. "The wedding is in five days."
"I get ya." Nico, who finally ditched the ice pack, agreed. "So, any other leads?" V showed Nico the photographs where the strange man appeared, and as the woman picked them up and studied them very, very closely, she nodded her head in agreement. "Yeah. I'm positive of it: this man," she uttered, then pointed at her PC with her left thumb. " ... and the one that showed up after you're gone are the same. Heck, he may be our main ghost here but, we have to be sure. All that’s left for us by then is to drive him out and let him know he’s not invited to the wedding.”
"But, how is he connected to all of this?" Griffon questioned as he, too, took a good long look at the photos that were scattered on the table.
V let out a sigh as he took out (Y/N)'s diary from his pocket. Then, he opened it and turned to the page where some writings recently materialized. Nico and Griffon went over to his side to read the new entry along with him.
May 11, 1898
I finally met him! The man of my dreams! The one and only Victor Blake! I just can't believe it! He IS actually IN THE SAME HOUSE AS ME RIGHT NOW! And what's more,
He even quoted poetry as he looked at me! He even kneeled before me and took my hand in his!
And, oh my God! He kissed the back of my hand!
I honestly thought I was going to die but Daniella brought me back. And when she said later that Mr. Blake likes me, I just felt that I could die right then and there with a smile and go to heaven!
Victor Blake - liking me?
My wildest dreams must be turning into reality! I mean, there are a lot of other beautiful women out there but,
HE CHOSE ME!
Oh my God, I simply can't believe this! I really am going to die and go straight to heaven with this!
Oh, God forgive me...
I know I must be exaggerating. But who cares? Daniella might be wrong about her assumptions but I still like him. No. I love him. And that's all that matters. He can ignore me and I will still love him. Until the day I die.
P.S.
My father just announced that all the important guests would be staying here for three months! And that includes Mr. Blake!
P.P.S.
I can't sleep knowing that he's just literally below me on the first floor, sleeping or reading or writing maybe. He may be writing. Books and poems and proses. I wonder what they're all about?
"That girl surely fell hard for ya, V." Nico mused, and when the poet just raised an eyebrow at her, knowing full well that (Y/N), in fact, fell for a different kind of V, she just smirked. "I'm jokin’!"
"Well, ya can't just follow an infatuated brat around and get ourselves attacked like that again!" Griffon screamed at V, who was still looking at the writings on the journal. "It's just suicidal! Plus, it doesn't really help us with the mission."
"Maybe." V finally spoke up. He slammed the journal shut and hid it once more as he gained the attention of his two companions. "But, this man," he said, then pointed at the said man in the photographs. " ... was connected to both (Y/N) and Victor. And I must find out everything about this,… connection. I will not rest,… until I do.”
"Ugh! Count me out, please! I don't wanna go back there!" His demonic familiar pleaded.
"We don't have a choice." Nico answered as she left for a while to pick up the radio from her own table. "We started this. And we have to see this through."
V nodded in agreement as he received his radio from her. "I'll go back there tonight. I'll be relying on you to watch everything from here to the highest floor."
"As if I have a choice!"
"Nico, you - "
The woman waved her hand at him. "Yeah, yeah. Keep yer panties on. I can endure another night here. Besides,..." She held up her radio, pressed a button, and after a few seconds, they finally heard what she recorded in it last night.
And it truly frightened them.
"Hello? Is anybody here? If there are,... any spirits here, say HHHOOOEEE!"
"What is that,... ?" Griffon questioned as they heard some strange whispers after Nico stopped talking.
"If there are any spirits here, say - "
"GET OUT! GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN! HE'S AFTER THEM! AFTER ALL THIS TIME! HE'S GOING TO KILL YOU! RUN! RUN AWAY FROM HERE! RUN AS FAST AS YOU - !"
"SHUT UP!"
"AAAHHH!"
V covered his mouth as he waited for the shrill and unearthly noises to subside. But, it only gradually worsened as it got more and more distorted that Nico had to turn it off.
"I heard a different voice last night, and I do not remember hearing anything like that." Nico confessed as she put the radio down to light another cigarette. "After that, this strange entity with big red eyes started chasin' me around until I have to hide. It's when I found that box containin' those old photographs." She sighed and shook her head as she bumped her forehead several times with her fist. She looked up once more and faced her companions. "So, ready for round two?"
Nico didn't have to tell him.
He will definitely solve this mystery. He must.

Heya Songie, hope you're doing well! I'm going to buy a game on steam but not sure what should i buy. I tried to play Outlast but it scare the shit out of me. I'm thinking to buy The Witcher trio, but i wanted to ask you. I want to buy a game that has a great story, the gameplay and graphics don't bother me at all. What is your advice? Other than horror i can play any games!
Oh I don’t play PC much: I only have the Fallout series and Skyrim in my Steam archive. All of the other games I’ve played are always on PS4.
I remember a few cool PC games (and a few games that aren’t exclusive), though, so I’d recommend:
Fallout 3, 4, and New Vegas: Legit if you haven’t played any of them I urge you to. Don’t care what anyone says, the games’ stories are always what drag me in and despite FO4′s shortcomings, specifically when it came to story DLC (they only had 2, Far Harbor was fantastic but Nuka World needed more to it), all of them delivers. Not just that, the mods. You want a game that can tell new stories over and over and over? Fallout provides that just fine alone, like you always discover something new even if it’s like your 20th playthrough, but it’s the mods that helps the game shine. I’m talkin’ the quest mods and complete overhauls into a new game. For example? Fallout The Frontier: I’m super excited for that one to drop. I’m keeping my eye on another, Fallout: Miami. Or Fallout 4: New Vegas, in which it’s basically building Fallout New Vegas from the ground up using Fallout 4 as a base. The remake we deserve but probably will never get. What is essentially a full remake, another a completely new game... All for the stunning price of... nothing. You get it for free thanks to these amazing people putting their worth into this shit. If you can, support your modders. They do some good work, dare I say better work putting so much care into their creations of the game.
Elder Scrolls Skyrim: Bro it’s basically the same deal here as it is with Fallout: get it for the game itself and it’s fun base-game stories, stay for the fantastic mods. They also feature DLC-sized mods, mods that are essentially brand new games, and once more the modding community continue to amaze me with their dedication.
Ori and the Blind Forest: I watched this game since I didn’t buy it myself and it is gorgeous.
Cuphead: if ya don’t mind being angry, I hear it’s hard but great. I admire it deeply for its animation style.
Stardew Valley: I actually played this one but on the PS4. It doesn’t have like a full and deep story but what’s great about this game is that it’s very relaxing, aesthetically pleasing, and it’s the characters that are surprisingly well written and have complex personalities you get to discover through tiny cutscenes.
The Walking Dead (telltale): Fucking fantastic game, specifically the first two series. 3 was aight, with Clementine stealing the show (but I personally wasn’t interested in playing it because you didn’t get to play as Clementine exclusively like no thx I wanna see Sweetpea.)
The Witcher 3: It looks like a truly beautiful game with a deep and engaging story, so much so that I’m considering playing it myself.
ARK Survival: Okay so, in my opinion ARK isn’t actually worth it’s price tag, primarily because of the toxicity of PVP (like it’s moreso than usual) and the plethura of bugs it has and the admittedly shady practices of its developer. Now, that said? I love the game. For all of it’s faults, it’s honestly really fun: I prefer solo play but if you get a good band of buds to play with on PVP or PVE it’s even more fun. It has like.. some sort of semblance of a story, but it’s mostly just background noise, but this game is absolutely fantastic if you like a game that gives you the tools to essentially create your own story and essentially roleplay it out. That’s what me and my friends kinda did and we used to play the game for hours and days at a time because of it. I’ll tell ya’ll some of the shit we got up to later, I fondly remember them.
7 Days to Die: It’s a lot like ARK in that it doesn’t actually have much of a story to tell (in this case. barely at all) so it’s up to you and your friends (or just you if solo) to make one up and roleplay it. Unlike ARK, this game is sinfully cheap for the amount of fun it provides and don’t let it’s dated-like graphics fool you. It is a very solidly built game and some of the most fun I’ve had with a zombie game in years. It’s also on sale right now I think?
MASS EFFECT SERIES: YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO  SORRY BUT THIS IS LEGIT MY FAVORITE GAME OF ALL TIME???? FUCK. I love this game! The characters, all of them are so well written and compelling and arguably the best part of the game. The atmosphere is breathtaking, especially the places you get to visit while playing the game (especially Andromeda like wow the game’s gorgeous), the gameplay is fantastic (it has it’s flaws but it works for the game for sure), the dialogue is some of the best I’ve experienced, and the story honestly makes you feel like every little thing you do in the game actually matters. Like everything has it’s rewards and everything has a small story to tell in this game: it’s why when I replay the entirety of it I play all of the games from the very first one to Andromeda. Now, I will say if you’ve never played this game I highly recommend playing the first one first. Not only because of the story but because, as much as I adore the game, the gameplay is.... well. It’s kinda bad. Like it’s legit my least favorite to play because it can be kinda taxing in the gameplay aspect, specifically combat and that goddamned Mako. Also don’t just listen to all of the naysayers about Andromeda if you decide to play it because honestly, it is not that bad. And in comparison to the first? It does a much better job with setting up the series (if we ever get more of it, fuckin’ EA) than the first does, especially the characters. But like all games, I just recommend that you play them and make that judgement for yourself whether or not you think it’s worth your time.
Dragon Age series: I’ve never played the first, I will be playing the second soon, but I have played the third and I’m honestly surprised by how much it impressed me? This game seems to get a bad rep for a lot of stuff but from my perspective as a newcomer, it was a lot of fun to play and the story was fun and the cutscenes, when they mattered, were goosebumps inducing. That scene, the scene where they show their faith in you? I’m not gonna spoil it but jesus. The combat takes some getting used to but overall a fun game with a fun story and, once again, it’s the characters that draw me in.
Far Cry Series: From what I hear the stories are good enough as well as the gameplay and, from my experience playing the 5th one, that’s all true. I dunno about the rest of them but the 5th’s ending though? It’s total shit. I’d recommend playing it because, despite the bugs and some bullshit physics it honestly was really fun and the story did keep me interested to the bitter end. I’m just angry at how they ended it. Yeesh.

The Stolen Throne in 15 minutes
I wrote this parody back in 2010 and it would be a shame if Livejournal dies with this mocking post, so have a re-post here on tumblr. I actually love Stolen Throne, but it’s not going to win a Nobel prize, that’s for damn sure.   REBEL QUEEN: *is slain *
MARIC, a Level 1 Prince: OH NOES! I can barely hold a sword and now I'm all alone on the run from the usurper! HELP! HELP!
LOGHAIN, a Level 56 Warrior, several miles away: I have a really bad feeling about this shit.
MARIC: HELP! HELP! *cracks the skull of random attacker * HELP! HELP!
LOGHAIN: Oh for fuck's sake. Come along, then.
LOGHAIN’S DAD: Like all good leaders of men in the DAO canon, I am somewhat reluctant to lead. Yet I do. I’m also quite classy if I may say so myself.
MARIC: Agreed! I dub thee, ser Loghain's Dad to a knight in my service. Now, go off and die protecting me!
LOGHAIN: What the hell?
LOGHAIN’S DAD: Son, in a very foreshadowing moment I will now ask you to put your emotions and personal desires aside and do as you must. Sure, it will seem really fucking grim but so will the rest of your life. Now off you go and protect the Prince with your life.
LOGHAIN’S DAD and EVERYONE IN CAMP: *dies protecting the Rebel Prince* --
MARIC: *suffers prettily*
LOGHAIN: I hate you so very much.
MARIC: Naaah.
ENEMIES: *Attack!*
MARIC: Oh noes! *falls off horse/gets stabbed/is unconscious*
LOGHAIN: Okay, I can’t really hate you. It’s like hating a puppy.
MARIC: Told ya!
WITCH OF THE WILDS: Come boys, come...give me your semen. I mean, let me babble inexplicably off-screen about secret visions of mine...
MARIC: Oh, sure!
PLOT: *thickens *
LOGHAIN and READERS: Whatever.
-- ROWAN: *dramatic entrance*
MARIC: Oh look, it’s my future Queen.
LOGHAIN: Oh look, she can actually hold her own in a fight! WELCOME! Don't ever leave!
ROWAN: I'm the Warrior Maiden of this story. But don't worry, fangirls, I won't stand in the way of slash, plot or have much of a personality. I rejoice in seeing you alive, Maric. It would be pointless to rebel without a prince after all. And you’re cute when you fall off horses.
MARIC: Did you say something? I can’t seem to focus on non-elven women.
LOGHAIN: Oh, Maker, warrior women are so sexy. I like my women like I like my coffee, with a spoon in them hot and strong.
ROWAN: Sorry, did you say something? I can’t seem to focus on commoners.
ROMANTIC DRAMA: *is obvious * --
ORLESIANS: *are Evil and Depraved even in their own POV-chapters*
LOGHAIN: See, this is what I keep saying! --
MARIC: *is endlessly fascinated with Loghain*
LOGHAIN: *teaches Maric how to use a sword*
MARIC: You make me a man!
LOGHAIN: You make me speak in semi-long sentences and open up my glum heart!
MARIC: I fanboy you so hard, there is nothing you cannot do! Here, have a pair of too tight leather trousers, for eh, plot purposes.
LOGHAIN: Who the fuck am I again? Fandom Draco?
MARIC: What? I don't sexualize you! Perish the thought!
ROWAN: I think I'm going to go for a walk. You two... hang out.
DAO FANDOM: Oh, look I wrote this multi-chaptered fic about how Alistair falls in love with my PC R'heaigh-Leihy-inneh Cousland, who is incredibly pretty! And then this long-ass sequel about their lives after the game, isn't that just so clever and romantic? It even has some NSFW bits!
SLASHERS IN EVERY OTHER FANDOM, EVER: OH COME ON!
-- ROWAN & LOGHAIN: *builds a small mountain of unresolved and badly written sexual tension*
KATRIEL: Hello. I am the Plot Device of this little story.
MARIC: OH MY GOD, AN ELF! *fans self *
KATRIEL: Indeed.
MARIC: Look, guys, there was an elf in my tent! She’s very pretty!
ROWAN: Yes, yes. Sooo, Loghain, maybe we should... duel. Just a little? Get the blood pumping, the adrenaline rushing… Nothing sexual about it, just to determine who’s the best…fighter?
LOGHAIN: I thought you’d never ask.
ROWAN & LOGHAIN: *fights*
LOGHAIN: *wins* I’m so sorry I hurt you! *angsts* And so incredibly turned on by the fact that you almost beat me.
ROWAN: I know, right. Now, let’s forget about the part where we are clearly perfect for each other because I am Maric’s.
LOGHAIN: Yes, duty first.
MARIC: *shags the elf*
-- MARIC: *shags the elf*
ROWAN: *angsts*
LOGHAIN: *angsts*
ROWAN: I am so stupid and ugly and not an elf.
LOGHAIN: *mutters* I think you are beautiful.
ROWAN: No! Our UST must remain heavy on the U-part! For plot purposes!
LOGHAIN: He’s too stupid to breathe and yet I am the lesser man. Oh, this will define my character in many interesting ways, I’m sure! *storms off *
MARIC: Hey, where are you going?
LOGHAIN: I’m done now. You made it through the woods and it’s been eh,years
MARIC: But how can I make it one day without you? I've been taking self-preservation lessons from Bella Swan! I need a big, strong, dominant man to heal me sexually save me!
ROWAN: For true. I can't bloody take care of his emotional neediness all alone, please stay!
LOGHAIN: *angsts*
ROWAN: *angsts*
MARIC: *emo puppy*
LOGHAIN: Fine, I'll stay.
MARIC: I love you. Here, have a fancy title.
LOGHAIN: *kneels awkwardly* I love you, too. I swear to serve you well.
MARIC, ROWAN, LILITH & DAVID GAIDER: OH ♥LOGHAIN♥! --
BATTLES: *a plenty *
MARIC: *is dumb*
ORLESIANS: *are evil and well-informed*
ROWAN: Loghain, we must – surprise, surprise – save Maric from a certain death! Someone who I'm sure my future king doesn't sleep with has told the enemies of our plans and we are overwhelmed and Maric will die!
LOGHAIN: I am a bit busy here, being the Commander and all. If we leave them they will die.
ROWAN: Surely you have realised by now that you are the one who will make all the harsh decisions that others can't bear and end up in a turmoil of politics you don’t master and internal fighting you care nothing for? I sure as hell don't want to make this decision, it's awful and I'm one of the Pure and Good Characters. Now, please tell me you will sacrifice my dad!
LOGHAIN: Oh, this will define my character in many interesting ways, I’m sure.
MARIC: *emo puppy* I don't deserve to be saved. If this was a fanfic I'd be crying myself to sleep, listening to music that isn't invented yet.
LOGHAIN: There, there. One of my hidden talents is that I comfort very well.
LILITH: Awww.
MARIC: I second that awww.
ROWAN: Oh, me too! Me too! Now do me! I mean, in a non-sexy friendly kind of way.
LOGHAIN: Of course. Duty first.
MARIC: *shags the elf * --
DEEP ROADS: *are cool*
KATRIEL: *knows a lot*
MARIC: *is not suspicious at all *
ROWAN & LOGHAIN: *headdesk*
MARIC: Oh, and I love the not-at-all-suspicious elf, by the way.
ROWAN: Bastard.
LOGHAIN: What the hell? I've angsted over your future queen for well over hundred pages of Gaider-prose and you don't even love her. I will kill you in your sleep.
MARIC: *puppy eyes *
LOGHAIN: Fuck you. --
ROWAN: *angsts*
LOGHAIN: Did I eh…mention that I comfort very well? Cause I do.
ROWAN: Comfort me! With hot, brooding sex! With gingerly sexings accompanied by our mutual tears, because we do cry an awful lot, all three of us.
LOGHAIN: I'm not the object of our mutual desire Maric.
ROWAN: Can you pretend? And glad I am to hear it!
LOGHAIN: Only if you do, too. Really?
ROWAN: Damn straight. Eh. Pun intended. Really, really.
DEEP ROADS: We bring the sexytimes like nothing else in the DAO canon! --
MARIC: Oh noes! Betrayal! It hurts! I love her so! She is so completely without a personality save being pretty and shady and into me! My dream girl!
LOGHAIN: Much like the PC can choose to do in the game version of our future, I am now picking the option to harden you. Everyone’s out for themselves. There you go. Harden up, bitch.
MARIC: But I’m such a gentle flower! Girls dig that.
LOGHAIN: Yes, indeed. I dig that, too, and this breaks my fucking heart. But life’s a bitch and then your mother gets raped and killed by Orlesians while you are forced to watch and you must give up the woman you love for duty and Ferelden and FOR FUCK’S SAKE, MAN, JUST GROW A SPINE SO WE CAN GET THIS SHIT DONE!
MARIC: *grows an insta-spine*
KATRIEL: Oh, crap.
MARIC: This moment defines me. *stabs her to death*
LOGHAIN: This moment defines me. *turns off emotions *
KATRIEL: I think I was informed of this plot because I wrote a really obvious good-bye letter, but whatever. I still die prettily and redeem myself in doing so while also making Loghain look extra cruel. A little something for everyone!
ROWAN: We are, as always, the harsh pragmatists of this story. Or well, you are a harsh pragmatist while I may or may not act out of jealousy which really doesn't put me in a better light. Regardless, my heartless yet loving soulmate, why must it hurt so?
LOGHAIN: Because life’s a bitch and then-
ROWAN: Shut up!
LOGHAIN: *dark, brooding emo puppy*
ROWAN: You are the only one who can be allowed to see me weak. Which is quite touching.
LOGHAIN: It is. I see you as my equal, which also is hot and something that ought to be more present in fanfiction. Alas, for now I shall break up with you!
ROWAN: Look, the hardening quest is fun for like, five minutes, but for the rest of my life? COME ON! Why do I get to be Maric's consolation prize?
LOGHAIN: Well, life’s a bitch and-
ROWAN: DAMN YOU.
LOGHAIN: I AM DAMNING MYSELF AS WE SPEAK! JUST BLOODY PLAY ORIGINS AND YOU WILL SEE!
DRAMATIC BREAK-UP: *is dramatic*
ROWAN: *cries*
LOGHAIN: *cries*
MARIC, in a different room: *cries*
ORLESIANS: And these people will overthrow our brutal occupation? I think not. --
MARIC: I NEED A HUG!
ROWAN: I will hug you. I will also assume the role of your loving, forgiving and much-stronger queen. Such is my duty.
MARIC: Sexy.
ROWAN: Not particularly. Sexy just broke up with me.
MARIC: I killed sexy. I NEED A HUG!
ROWAN: This will get old very quickly. --
MARIC: I am hardened. It sucks. I suddenly have a spine, and I do things to further our goal.
LOGAIN: I am as surprised as the readers. And a bit guiltily conflicted about it but that's just going to be my personality from now on. So roll with it.
ROWAN: I am stuck with the elf-fetishist for the rest of my life, but hey, why mind me? I never had much of a personality to begin with and won't get a fanbase anyway.
PLOT: *is wearing a bit thin* Come on, get this book over with! --
LOGHAIN: I am very sexy as I lead my rebels in battle.
ROWAN: He is. The bastard.
MARIC: He surely is. And – wait for it - I seem to have found a few survival skills!
LOGHAIN & ROWAN: Praise the Maker! --
WAR:* is won in the epilogue*
ROWAN: *is dead in the epilogue *
LOGHAIN: *is miserable in the epilogue *
MARIC: *is a miserable king in the epilogue*
READERS: Wow, what a fun ride that was.
