harvest, amber, quilt ?

harvest - what fictional character do you most identify with? Why?

Shizuku Tsukishima from Whisper of the heart

Though I love almost all studio ghibli characters and feel such a loving connection- Shizuku gets at something really deep and emotional within me.

Wanting to be a character designer- to create good stories- to impress my friends or be ‘wothy’ of them, yet feeling that nothing I create is good enough - to the point of being overwhelmed with emotions and overwhelmed with the hopelessness is something that just right away made me bawl out in tears! I have cried in lots of movies- but rarely had I truly cried so many tears because I realized how much I felt like this girl when she started to cry. The move warmed my heart in many ways- the connection you feel when there is a character that almost seems to harbor the same emotional turmoil as you do- makes you feel like you must not be the only one. Other people struggle with this too, and though in the moment you’re having a really hard time, that doesn’t mean you can’t have a better day tomorrow or the next. That doesn’t mean my dreams are hopeless, even if I feel as though they are right now. amber - share an unpopular opinion that you may have.

Golly this one’s a bit embarrassing, but I really don’t like watermelon :’ ( I mean I love the viciously unhealthy sugary watermelon flavoring in candies now that’s the bomb but I just cannot put watermelon.... in my mouth 😔

quilt - how do you take your tea (or coffee)?

I don’t drink coffee sadly!- and sometimes I have a hard time with tea as I can’t taste it very well,....unless I drown it in sugar-  but for some reason my dad is some sort of warlock that makes it amazingly. I literally don’t know how he makes it- he’s gotten me out of horrendous headaches and nausea- just from inhaling the smell of his own tea. I’m quite sure he mixes jams in with it to give it that flavor.

But atleast from the tea I DO know i like- I greatly enjoy pumpkin spice roobios tea, with homemade pumkin jam syrup mixed into it. I mix in a whole lot because I just have a horrendous sweet-tooth- and love the taste. I don’t drink too much tea in the summer, but when autumn and winter comes along and I’m freezing cold in the early class mornings, I take pumpkin tea with me to warm me up

Update: Favorite Restaurants

Who doesn’t love food?! It’s time to update my favorite restaurant’s list. It’s been a couple of months since I posted the first one. Let’s see which restaurants made the list and what I usually order from them. 

Chicks on the Square 

This is a restaurant back in my home town. I honestly can’t believe I forgot about it in the first list. My favorite items on the menu include the Lip Fries grilled without any sauce and their Tortilla Soup. They are the bomb! I really wish someone would give me the copy cat recipe for both dishes. 

Los Charros 

Another restaurant back in my hometown. The best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to in my life! They have a dish called the Allen Special that is very famous in our small town. I never get anything else. 

Cheddar’s 

This is a restaurant that we started going to more often since moving to Kentucky. They have a wide selection of food on their menu, literally something for everyone. I typically get the Grilled Salmon with fries and steamed broccoli. My mom really likes the complimentary croissants but I can’t have them so I take her word, that they are good. 

Cracker Barrel 

Another restaurant we started frequenting since the move. Their dinner menu also has a pretty good selection. I get the Maple Bacon Grilled Chicken with fries and steamed broccoli each time. Also, get their Raspberry Tea it’s the bomb! 

McAlister’s 

This is a new go-to for fast food now. I typically get a Spud with Grilled Chicken and Cheese. I have been wanting to try some of their soups though recently so I will have to get back to you guys on which one makes the cut.
