PVH Corp Shocks Investors with a Whopping 110.61% Increase in Profits

In the challenging market conditions of the December to February 2024 time-frame, PVH Corp (NYSE: PVH) managed to surprise investors with its earnings rise, even though its revenue growth was moderate. The company reported a bewildering 110.61% increase in earnings per share (EPS) at $4.60 per share, whereas revenue grew by a modest 0.048% to $2.49 billion, compared to the same quarter a year prior. However, when analyzing PVHns performance in relation to the Apparel, Footwear and Accessories industries, it becomes evident that the company underperformed its peers. The Ludomire collection (SF & Fantasy) by PVH Editions, a swiss publisher. Design by Dimitri Jeannottat.

The design is one thing, and a great one, but what I find even better is the way these books are shared with the world. Not only are they available in print and epub but they can also be printed at home: PVH's print@home collection (FR only). You get the PDFs from their website (for a "pay what you want" price) and it comes with a one-page notice on how to print & bind it. It's a very simple bind, no cutting, just one stitch to do. Much easier than the way I bind my collection, ha, ha. See their notice + (parts of) one of their book that I'm printing:

Isn't that wild? It's the first and only time, so far, that I find a collection that's shared the same way mine is. And this is one is by an actual publisher to boot!

One more thing to note, something that I read on their site and obviously can't find anymore now. It's that out of all the ways you can buy these books online (ordering it, buying the ebook, getting the print@home version), the latter is the one that will protect your data the most. You don't give your address, your mail or anything. You just download a file. This is very in tune with the content of (some of) the books themselves - the one I printed, Printeurs ("The ones who print") features a dystopian future where you get ads directly injected into your brain. Yikes. Anyway, I don't have any analysis to give you on this format/diffusion model, but, this is a good find and now you've heard of it too.
