SÉANCE #5 — Sociabilité, réseaux sociaux et communautés en ligne : du virtuel au réel

Chers internautes,

Dans l’ère numérique actuelle, la sociabilité s’est taillé une nouvelle place grâce aux réseaux sociaux et aux communautés en ligne. Ces plateformes virtuelles proposent de toutes nouvelles formes de sociabilité virtuelles. À travers mon tout premier article, je lierai la sociabilité avec les réseaux sociaux numériques, puis avec les communautés virtuelles. 

Vous les connaissez déjà, mais les réseaux sociaux tels que Facebook, Instagram et Snapchat permettent de communiquer virtuellement non seulement avec des connaissances, mais également avec des inconnus. Il est donc possible de se créer une toute nouvelle identité ou encore de se faire passer pour quelqu’un d’autre. À mon avis, il s’agit de l’un des aspects les plus négatifs de ces réseaux sociaux. Cette pensée me fait justement penser à une tendance qui émerge sur Tiktok, le « voice fishing », qui consiste à se faire passer pour quelqu’un d’autre, en ligne (Agence QMI, 2022, 3e par.). Dans ce contexte, je trouve que les réseaux sociaux n’ont pas leur place dans notre communauté prônant la bienveillance.

Par ailleurs, les communautés virtuelles se forment grâce à des intérêts qu’ont en commun les internautes, souvent grâce à des jeux en ligne ou à des forums de discussion. À mon avis, contrairement aux réseaux sociaux, ces communautés en ligne proposent plus d’avantages. Je pense par exemple à une nouvelle que j’ai lu il y a quelques années, où une joueuse de jeux vidéo en ligne avait sauvé la vie de son coéquipier, à 8000 km de distance (Agence QMI 2020, 3e par.). Effectivement, ce dernier a été victime d’une attaque cardiaque pendant leur séance de jeu (idem). Je trouve totalement remarquable que la vie de ce jeune homme ait été sauvée grâce à cette communauté virtuelle.

Bref, la sociabilité en ligne est un phénomène qui sera en constante évolution. Bien que les réseaux sociaux et que les communautés en ligne possèdent des avantages et des inconvénients, force est de constater que ces derniers se complètent bien. Après tout, qu'on le veule ou non, c’est cette sociabilité hybride (virtuelle ET réel) qui façonnera la façon dont nous déciderons de nous connecter aux autres dans le futur.

Is QMI’s operation serious enough?

When you reach a certain age, most procedures are serious – let alone extensive spinal surgery. Rehab is very long-winded for these type of procedures. And for many back issues, it's not even certain that surgery will relieve her problems and therefore I think it says a lot about the degree of pain she experiences that the experts have decided to operate.

Hopefully it'll prompt certain members of the family to stop acting like turds at least while she's recovering ✌️

Séance 13 - Pas fort, Guillaume

Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge est l’artiste le plus polarisant dans le monde des médias. Récemment, il a fait une vidéo en nature où il se promenait et il décida de faire une blague douteuse en s’accotant sur un arbre qui contenait le mot en « N » (Pilote-Côté, 2024).

C’est le lendemain de l’événement, à la suite d’une pluie de commentaires négatifs, qu’il a fait une autre vidéo pour s’expliquer à ses abonnées disant qu’il n’avait jamais vu le mot sur l’arbre (Pilote-Côté, 2024).

Personnellement, je trouve cela très déplacé de la part de Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge. Il ne peut pas faire à croire que cela a été filmé par accident, surtout avec un mot qui porte une grande histoire. Non seulement, on voit le mot en « N », mais en plus, il décide de faire une blague avant. Ce n’est pas la première fois qu’il fait parler de lui pour les mauvaises raisons. Il aurait dû faire attention à quoi il partage en tant que personnalité publique (Pilote-Côté, 2024).

Emily Bégin et Théodore Lemay-Thivierge se retrouvaient dans la distribution de la comédie musicale Le Matou qui devait se retrouver sur les planches cet été. C’est après la polémique de l’arbre et le mot en « N », qu’ils ont décidé de se retirer (Picard, 2024).

Selon l’Agence QMI, cela serait dû à un conflit d’horaire de la part d’Emily Bégin tandis que pour Théodore il n’a que laisser son rôle. Émily Bégin aurait appelé Joël Legendre le 14 mars, la même journée de la vidéo de Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge. Cette vidéo lui a couté son poste d’animateur de l’émission chanteurs masqués. Il y aura donc un nouveau « casting » (Picard, 2024).

Malgré plusieurs explications, on peut comprendre que le désistement et le vidéo de Guillaume n’ont aucun lien (Picard, 2024). Cependant, il est étrange que tout arrive en même temps. La production de Chanteurs masqués a bien fait de renvoyer Guillaume, puisque l’émission n’aurait pas eu bonne presse à la suite de ses incidents.
