Music bounces around the bar as Hex and Weathetly enter. A small crowd of sims huddle around a table in the corner, watching the new years countdown. The sun is setting soon, so there’s plenty of time to get lots of drinking and dancing in before the new year rolls in!

Hex hops up onto a bar stool, waving high to get the bartender’s attention. The sim before her looks so unimpressed when she places her order.

Hex: “Two ales, please - and a drink for yourself too!”

Molly: “Uhh…thanks. I’ll need juice if I have to deal with sims like you all night.”

Weatherly places a hand on Hex’s arm as she glares at the bartender, narrowing her eyes at her sarcastic comment. Hex takes a deep breath and smiles at her best friend to let him know that she’s okay. He releases his grip on her when he’s sure she won’t start a fight.

Molly Prescott slides the two glasses over to Hex and Weatherly. Hex pushes her simoleons close enough but just out of reach of Molly, trying to be petty in revenge for the sarcastic comment. Weatherly taps his glass against his best friend’s, drawing her attention back to him. 

Weatherly: “Cheers! Happy new year, Hexagon!”

This challenge is (loosely) inspired by some of my favorite Lana songs. It also draws inspiration from other challenges, such as Not So Berry, Rags to Riches, Asylum, Crybaby Whims, etc.

General rules: 

Turn neighborhood stories off.

Aging must be set to normal or slow.

Hard mode: start each generation with 0 simoleons and build each home and required lot by yourself. 

Each generation must max out the designated skills and reach the top level of their career. 

If an heir dies, you may revive them or continue the challenge with a next of kin.

You’re free to control the sims in your household who aren’t your heir or related to your heir. They can also be completely autonomous.

For gen 3, you're allowed to live on-campus in university and then move to San Myshuno.

Home: Empty lot in Del Sol Valley 

Lot challenge/trait: Penny Pixies

You’re the only child of a homeless, deadbeat parent who spends every simoleon that falls into their hands on dope and booze. This has instilled in you the determination to not only get off the streets, but also become rich and famous when you’re older. Slowly but surely, you make enough money to build a small home that one day will transform into a luxurious mansion, or at least one can dream. You grow up to be quite the looker and charmer, not to mention talented, so your goal of making it big on the silver screen is finally within reach. You catch the eye of a famous big shot you end up having more than a fling with, resulting in an pregnancy. But as infatuated as you are with your baby daddy/momma, your eyes are always on the prize first and foremost. You’ve heard the name of the latest lottery winner and can’t get it out of your mind.

Rules:

- Start out with 0 simoleons as a child, living with an unemployed, single, drug addicted or alcoholic parent. - Survive off of fishing, hunting for collectibles, or doing any activity you can do as a child and teenager to make money.  - As an adult, join the acting career. - Buy the Beguiling reward trait. - Work towards affording a mansion and gradually upgrade plumbing, appliances, electronics, and comfort items. - Seduce a famous sim and have a child with them.  - Marry a lottery winner for their money.

Gen 2: Video Games

Career: Videogame Streamer (or eSport Gamer)

Aspiration: World Famous Celebrity

Skill: Beer Brewing (Juice Fizzing) or Mixology 

Traits: Geek, Socially awkward (or Clumsy), Overachiever (or Ambitious).

Home: Influencer house in San Myshuno

Lot challenge/trait: Celebrity Home

Despite having been born with a silver spoon in your mouth and not needing to work a day in your life to survive, you don’t just want to lay around in your pajamas all day playing video games… not unless that could be an actual career, and luckily for you, it can be. Other nepobabies don’t have your drive, your quick fingers, your passion for gaming and social media. You want to prove the world that you’re more than your last name and vast inheritance, so you move into a so-called content house in San Myshuno and throw yourself completely into your career as a professional gamer and influencer. Unfortunately, your new lifestyle has proven to be more psychologically taxing than it has any right to be. The influencers you’re currently living and collaborating with do nothing but cause drama, and you’ve found yourself in deep waters when C-Fuel, the Cowplant based energy drink company that has been sponsoring you, comes under fire for poisoning consumers, roping you into a huge scandal and subsequent cancelation. As a result, your beer brewing hobby turns into a coping mechanism and you become addicted to alcohol to deal with the stress. When an unplanned pregnancy turns your life upside down, you finally decide it’s time to go to rehab.

Rules:

- Move into a mansion or penthouse in San Myshuno and live along 6 famous sims, all in the Internet Personality, Style Influencer, and eSport Gamer careers.    - Become addicted to alcohol. - Have a child with one of your housemates. - Go to rehab and create an A.A. group. 

Gen 3: Body Electric 

Career: Scientist

Aspiration: Party Planner

Skill: DJ Mixing 

Traits: Dance Machine, Genius, Party Animal (or Clubber)

Home: Unfurnished apartment in San Myshuno

Lot challenge/trait: Party Place

Even as a teen, all you wanted to do was sneak out and party. You know your parents are disappointed in your party animal ways, considering they did everything in their power to give you a normal upbringing despite their unconventional lifestyle as influencers. They don’t want you to waste your potential, you’re a gifted kid after all, who effortlessly got straight As throughout school. So, they decide on your behalf that you put your hefty scholarship to good use and study to become a scientist. Little did they know college was the sure way to make you unleash the party beast within in its final form. You party harder than ever, doing drugs, hooking up, dancing the night away in the pale moonlight. You’re living like Jim Morrison, right until a happy accident comes your way: you and your dealer are expecting a child. After graduating, you decide it’s time to settle down and become an adult… well, sort of. You may have a stable job and your own apartment now, not to mention a kid, but maybe that doesn’t mean the party needs to stop. Will you eventually change your ways and go to rehab? That depends on how bad your addiction gets. 

Rules:

- Go to university and major in Physics.  - Become a drug addict.  - Have a child with a drug dealer.  - After graduating, join the Scientist career, move into an empty apartment in San Myshuno and furnish it using the SimRay to transform random items into furniture and decor. You’re allowed to buy the essentials.  - Turn the lot in Sixam into a rave location. 

Gen 4: Sad Girl 

Career: Paranormal Investigator 

Aspiration: Soulmate

Skill: Medium 

Traits: Gloomy, Child Of The Ocean, Child Of The Islands

Home: Admiral Wreckage in Sulani (the ship must remain on the lot). 

Lot challenge/trait: Off-the-grid 

Growing up in a noisy, smoke filled environment around your parents’ sketchy friends in crowded San Myshuno made you crave quietness and a connection with nature. You’re a sensitive person, naturally spiritual and intuitive, which might be the reason why you live with a dark cloud over your head. Many things make you sad: fishing (it’s not ok to eat fish! They do have feelings!), not honoring the islands of Sulani, your new home, and being your significant other’s lover on the side. It almost seems like you were born to be the other woman or man, until an unusual new opportunity for love presents itself when you, as a professional paranormal investigator with the gift of communicating with the dead, meet and fall in love with one of the Sulani island elementals. Your feelings are requited, and you two get married and start a new life… literally, since your ghost spouse has decided to come back from the dead just for you. They've got the fire, and they walk with it. Maybe this is the soulmate relationship you've always longed for.

Rules:

- Have a failed relationship with a married sim.- Eat the mermadic kelp and become a mermaid. - Seduce one of the island elementals and complete the Soulmate aspiration with them.  - Build or download a beach wedding venue.  - Marry your island elemental and have a child with them. - Complete on of the two Sulani collections: Seashells or Buried Treasures.

Home: Cult compound in Strangerville

You always knew you were special. You can summon volcanic bombs and increase the quality of plants with your mind. You’re pretty sure you were born to rule the world, or at least that’s what the voices in your head have been telling you. You’ve also heard stories of a place called Strangerville, where a bizarre fruit that weakens the minds of those who eat it grows. You need to get your hands on one of those plants, so you move to the mysterious town in the middle of nowhere and start your own congregation. Finding a small group of obedient followers was pretty easy, especially after tricking them into eating your special fruit. Soon enough, the entirety of Strangerville will be yours. Your only concern is that, after you die, no one will carry on with your legacy, so you and your favorite disciple decide to have an heir. Will your child eat the bizarre fruit and make you proud? Or will they leave the empire they were supposed to rule in the dust?

Rules:

- Form a cult using the create a club feature and add 6 members. One of the activities must be stealing.   - None of the members of the domestic unit are allowed to have jobs. You must steal for a living.  - Build or download a cult compound in Strangerville and move in with your cult.  - Feed each cult follower the bizarre fruit. - Infect every sim living in Strangerville. - Have a child with one of your cult members. This will be the eighth member of your club.  - Each weekend, take your cult on a field trip or mini vacation and start a club gathering.   - Become a sworn enemy of your child. 

Gen 6: Groupie Love

Career: Musician

Aspiration: Musical Genius

Skill: Music instrument of your choice.

Traits: Childish, Music Lover, Noncommittal

Home: Tiny Home in Windenburg’s Ancient Ruins

Lot challenge/trait: Small home (max. 100 tiles)

Growing up in a compound full of possessed people with an evil cult leader as a parent is an experience that would scar any young mind, and yours was no exception. You are certain that your parent plans to feed you the bizarre fruit, so as soon as you become a teen, you pack your few possessions and flee to Windenburg, where you find a hidden place to live by the ruins. You need money to survive, and you need to build a proper home, so you start playing music in bars and other public spaces hoping to get donations, and writing your own songs. Music has always been your passion and you’re naturally gifted at it; it’s only a matter of time before other people notice your talent and you start gaining fame and fans. Drunk on the love and attention you’re receiving, you get a little too close and personal with your newfound groupies. You never meant to have seven kids with them, but hey, it’s not your fault you’re so darn fertile, apparently. You might be a little emotionally stunted due to your upbringing, and perhaps committing to just one partner is not the life for you, but one thing is for sure: you will raise your seven children with all the love in the world in your tiny home by the ruins.

Rules:

- As a runaway teen, quit the cult club and move to the Windenburg’s Ancient Ruins lot using the Venue Changes mod.   - Change your money to 0 simoleons. - Make money by playing music in public venues, writing and publishing songs, and joining the Musician career as an adult. - Build or download a small home. - Become a proper celebrity.  - Form a fan club using the create a club feature.  - Have 7 children, all with different members of your fan club.  - Raise the children by yourself in your domestic unit. 

Gen 7: Blue Jeans

Career: Criminal

Aspiration: Public Enemy

Skill: Mischief 

Traits: Hot-Headed, Ambitious, Kleptomaniac.

Home: Abandoned factory in Moonwood Mill

Lot challenge/trait: Filthy

Some say you were born bad, and you’re inclined to agree. You didn’t exactly choose the ganster life, but it certainly did choose you. You’re tough, and you have big dreams, bigger than your parent’s tiny house, so you start living in the streets by yourself as a young adult. There’s an abandoned factory in Moonwood Mill that becomes your gang’s operation center. Despite it never being one of your priorities, love comes knocking at your door in the form of a rich, posh sim whose parents are in the political career. Due to your bad reputation, you’re not allowed to be seen with them in public, until the two of you finally elope together and you realize that maybe you’re not the only reason why your partner’s parents were ashamed of them: they’re a werewolf! They’re an outcast, much like yourself. You two have a baby, and that’s when your partner starts insisting that you quit your gang and the criminal career for your child’s sake. You know they’re right, it’s bad for a young mind to see the things you’ve seen. Sadly, this is the only life you know, and if it’s not good enough for your family, then you’re just not good enough for them. It’s time to leave and start your life over…

Rules:

- Build or download an abandoned factory, or repurpose Moonwood Mill's library. - Max out a drug dealing skill. - Form a gang. - Furnish and decorate your home with stolen items. You’re only allowed to buy items that can’t be stolen (plumbing items, beds, rugs, etc.). - Date a werewolf and elope with them.  - Have a baby. - Move away from your partner and child and either start a new life or return to them once you’ve reached level 10 of the criminal career and are allowed to quit.

Gen 8: Chemtrails Over The Country Club

Career: None 

Aspiration: Emissary Of The Collective or Wildfang Renegade

Skill: Fabrication or Handiness

Traits: Cat Lover, Dog Lover, Loner

Home: Tree house in Moonwood Mill 

Lot challenge/traits: Cat hangout, Dog Hangout.

Being abandoned by your gangster parent as a child really killed your faith in humanity, hence your love for animals that also extends to the beast within yourself. You build a little tree house with your own hands in that particular spot in town that mysteriously attracts all kinds of stray dogs and cats that you love to feed and play with, and some of them become your beloved fur babies. As a werewolf (or someone who aspires to be one), your dream has always been to honor your lycanthropic ancestry by joining one of the local packs and becoming the alpha. Despite the tension between the Moonwood Collective and the Wildfangs, you find your fated mate in the rival alpha. The two of you elope in secret and have a baby. Maybe this will mark a new era of peace and communion between the packs, but that depends on how willing your packmates are to cooperate.

Rules:

- Live with as few sims as you can, the rest of your domestic unit members must be pets. - Craft most of the items in your home using mainly the fabricator and the woodwork table. - Sell crafts and collectibles for a living. - Become an Apex werewolf.  - Become the alpha of one of the packs and marry the alpha of the opposite pack (remember that the first werewolf you successfully flirt with will become your fated mate). - Have a child. - Complete the Moonwood Relics collection.

Gen 9: Wildflower Wildfire  

Career: None (selling flower arrangements)

Aspiration: Purveyor of Potions

Skill: Flower Arranging

Traits: Romantic, Jealous, Family-Oriented

Home: Abandoned house in Glimmerbrook

Lot challenge/trait: Haunted House Residential

If your werewolf community knew about you plan to betray them by becoming a part of the traitor class of spellcasters, they’d probably kick you out, but they’ll never get the chance to do that if you leave first. There’s a boarding school for teenage wizards in Glimmerbrook you’re interested in joining, so one night you sneak out and pay a visit to the principal, who is kind enough to transform you into a spellcaster and welcome you into the school. Your parents aren’t exactly thrilled with your decision, but they want you to be happy, so they support your choice.

Much to your dismay, your new housemates are not what you expected. They know about your lycanthropic origins and bully you relentlessly for them. One day, you’ve had enough and set part of the school on fire using magic right before moving out into a haunted abandoned house you'd discovered some time ago while exploring Glimmerbrook. There is an old flower arranging table in the garden and you decide to put your fascination with botany to the test by learning to make flower bouquets and selling them for a living.

One day, a particularly attractive sim catches your eye, and since your alchemy skills are on point, you don’t think twice before luring them in using potions. You never considered that their personality traits completely clash with yours. Do opposites attract, or is love not the kind of magic that should be messed with? Regardless, there’s already a baby on the way, and you’ve been alone for so long, running on stardust and sheer willpower. You’re better with your new darling. It’s strange, but it’s true.

Rules:

- If your heir is a werewolf, find the cure for lycanthropy. - Build or download a residential boarding school equipped with items from the Realm of Magic pack, especially cauldrons.  - Create a domestic unit consisting of 6 spellcaster teens with the Mean trait, a Virtuoso spellcaster with the Natural Mentor perk as the school principal, and your teenage heir.  - Become a spellcaster. - When the heir becomes a young adult, use the Inferniate spell to set the school on fire and move out of the domestic unit.  - Build or download an abandoned haunted house with a flower arranging table and move your heir there. - Become a Virtuoso and learn all the mischief spells. - Own a flower shop or street stall and sell flower arrangements for a living.  - Use the Potion of the Transcendent Charmer and the Potion of Alluring Aura to attract an Unflirty, Noncommittal, Hates Children partner.  - Have a child with that partner. 

Gen 10: Young And Beautiful

Career: Interior Decorator

Aspiration: Vampire Family 

Skill: Painting

Traits: Snob, Creative, Art Lover

Home: Vlad’s Castle in Forgotten Hollow 

Lot challenge/trait: Spooky

As a result of growing up in a haunted house full of pools of ghost goo and weird markings on the floors, you have a passion for decoration and home renovation. From a young age, you started watching the home decorator channel and learning how to paint so you could beautify your surroundings with art. The way your parent’s flower arrangements decay over time makes you sad. Why can’t beauty last forever? Why are most living things destined to die? You’ve met plenty of ghosts in your time, and they aren’t exactly aspirational. However, there is a type of occult you could praise and enthuse about all day long: vampires! They’re cool, they’re powerful, and most importantly, they’re immortal. So, when the opportunity to drink the ancient blood of a vampire arises, you take it without hesitation. 

As overjoyed as you are with your transformation, you’re keenly aware that eternity will eventually get lonely. You want a family that will never leave your side in the mortal coil of existence. You love your job as a home decorator, you’re superb at it, and your clientele idolizes you, so why not preserve a few of your admirers for posterity by feeding them the sweet elixir cursing through your veins? 

Now that you’re forever young and beautiful (you’ve made sure to treat yourself to a tweak or two under the knife), have seen the world, have done it all, and had your cake, your life couldn’t be more perfect. Yet, you still feel lonely. You start seeing someone you’re convinced is your soulmate in every aspect except two: their taste in décor is awful, and what’s worse, they don’t fancy immortality. In fact, they’re afraid of most vampires. Even though it breaks your heart, you have no choice but to respect their wishes and love them util they’re dead and got nothing but their aching soul. 

Rules:

- If your heir is a spellcaster, ask for the Rite of Dissolution. - Become a vampire and unlock the vampire creation perk. - Marry a mortal with opposite tastes in decor. You’re not allowed to turn them into a vampire.  - Complete the Vampire Family aspiration by turning your clients.  - Get plastic surgery by altering your sim’s features in CAS using the cas.fulleditmode cheat every time they get a promotion. Their dark form must remain unaltered. - Move into Vlad’s castle and redecorate it in a completely different style. - When your beloved dies, re-marry their ghost.

quick reminder: @tulipsimss and i are playing rlc together and using the same rolls as each other to see how gameplay can differ from person to person. so if the rolls look familiar, that’s why! i skipped the first two generations...so, her gen 3-10 are my gen 1-8 (which means i’ll have different rolls for gen 9-10)....rolls are below the cut😆!

miscellaneous fun: sibling rivalry:

whenever the parents aren’t within earshot the siblings can only interact using mean or mischievous interactions until one of them ages to a young adult and they patch things up.

NSB (Straud Legacy) Gen 8 Ep. 172: Ups and Downs

Luigi’s fathers had come through their in-law’s brush with death with their relationship stronger than ever, ready to start their boy’s education.

Jack had enrolled him in the online curriculum he’d found, and after breakfast each day the two of them would retire to the converted greenhouse where Luigi worked on his special school computer. Jack would supervise the learning while Peachy cleaned up and enjoyed his extended vacation.

Both men appreciated the relaxation of their new non-working status, and the freedom to sample some of Paul’s best nectar’s whenever they wished.

Of course, the main beauty of online schooling was all the extra family time they got to share with their son. Luigi’s online school day was flexible and with no-one needing to commute they could go to enriching events much more often during the day than those stuck in a 9–5.

Jack was always looking for activities where he could show his boy a good time while sneaking in some extra learning.

Great Grandpa Chance’s invitation to attend Geekcon was one such opportunity. Peachy wasn’t interested in “freezing at an outdoor festival in the middle of winter” but the others had a great time playing on the gaming mats, practicing programming after the hack-a-thon wrapped up, and even meeting interesting characters. Luigi returned home to Peachy raving about all the fun he’d had and the selfie he’d taken with Darth Vader!

Great Grandpa Chance wasn’t the only family member who invited the boys out for quality time. They also hung out with Tori and her family back in Henford. Jack had promised Peachy that he’d make sure Luigi socialized with kids his age and cousins the exact same age were the perfect candidates.

One such playdate ended with an important lesson for young Luigi. Not used to losing he stunned his cousin with his angry outburst following a resounding voidcritter defeat, sending her crying to their parents in the other room.

Peachy was mortified that his boy would act that way. He scolded him harshly for such unsporting behavior, making him apologize on the spot before sending him straight to time out.

As much as he’d hated his fathers’ harsh punishments it seemed similar high expectations for his own son had rubbed off on him along the way.

While Peachy fumed in the kitchen Jack went over to where Luigi was sniffling in the corner, much more calmly explaining why it was important to lose with grace while reassuring him that everyone made mistakes.

His kind words went a lot further than Peachy’s angry ones to drive home the lesson his parents were trying to teach him!

A stressful family dynamic wasn’t the only thing bringing Luigi down. As winter wore on, the cold, dry air started to cause him an unusual amount of discomfort. His skin began to flake and itch unbearably, sometimes even breaking out in a nasty rash.

His cold weather clothes only irritated the situation, to the point that he hated the very prospect of spinning into them.

A quick trip to the clinic revealed that he suffered from eczema. It seemed like cold weather was going to be a bit of a bummer for him from now on.

Luigi was understandably disappointed by the news of his chronic condition, but his fathers were there to help.

As soon as they got home Peachy bought the special cream the doctor had recommended, and Jack laid out his softest PJs and ran him an oatmeal bath to help soothe the seemingly never-ending itch.

Their reassurance and unwavering support went a long way towards making him feel better about managing his new issue moving forward.

With the harsh winter weather irritating his skin the boys began to look for ways they could spend time in warmer climates.

Luigi became a llama Scout, and the family took trips to work on his badges wherever they could leave the ice and snow behind. Peachy knew that the usually warm magical realm had many places where they could fish and catch frogs. After taking him on a quick tour through HQ they headed over to the Enchanted Gardens to start working on his nature badge.

Before heading back home, they took a moment to lay out on the soft grass and marvel at the stars.

The view was even more magical than the one Jack remembered so fondly from the couple’s honeymoon trip to the Deep Woods. That night Jack and Peachy had dreamed of a future that had come to pass in the small sim happily listening to his Papa point out the constellations glistening overhead.

Despite the trials and tribulations of everyday life, and the future sadness never far from their minds, in that moment all was right with the world.

Welcome this is my Anomaly Legacy challenge, this challenge is based off of the occults in the sims 4 and will use every official occult including vampires, aliens, spellcasters, mermaids, ghosts, plant sims, and when we get them I will add a werewolf gen. I won’t include occults like the Easter bunny or patchy just because I don’t see them as real occults but in a later date I might make a few spin off generations that include them. also considering we only have 8 real occults including humans this won’t be a 10 generation legacy and instead only an 8 generation challenge

Basic rules-

  Just know these are rules for anyone who wants to follow them but if it makes you happier to follow your own rules then by all means go ahead after all what’s the point in doing a challenge if you can’t have fun.

Keep lifespan on normal

Money cheats are not aloud unless stated otherwise

Complete ALL aspirations and careers unless stated otherwise

Every heir must live in a different world then they were born/raised in

 Doesn't matter what gender your heir is

It doesn’t matter which biological child you choose for the next heir

If you’re having trouble completing a career and you have romantic garden stuff then I recommend placing a wishing well at a park then wishing for a promotion

Generation 1- The Hidden Vamp (vampire)

You were born human in a human neighborhood, a boring suburban white picket fence house with a boring stay-at-home mother, a strict but hard working father, an annoying younger brother, and a goody two shoes younger sister who would always tell on you anytime you did anything wrong. Your whole family was perfect except you, you were the problem child, from your hatred towards dresses, to your habit of staying up all night playing video games and blasting metal music, to your whole style not matching the family including your hair and eye color which happens to be completely different from your whole family but strangely similar to your aunts husbands. You never got along with anyone in the family and always turned to hanging out with friends rather staying at home. One night just before your 18th birthday after an argument your mother banned you from hanging out with your friends, you decided you’ve had enough, you packed a bag and ran away to a dark and grungy place called Forgotten Hollow, perfect for your gothic vibe but all of the neighbors have very pointy teeth, but vampires aren't real right? That’s what you thought until one night a man knocks on your door and catches you off guard biting your neck and leaving just as quick as he came. after a few days you start feeling weird and then you start getting real thirsty but not for water...

Rules-

Move to an empty lot in forgotten hollow and cheat your money to 1,800 simoleons (we’ll say you collected this from working as a teen)

Get bitten by an unexpected visitor and turned into a vampire

Max pipe organ/vampire lore skills

During a late night run to find some frogs to use for plasma meet a vampire and fall in love with them(for a fun story make this sim the one that turned you into a vampire)

When you reach level 5 in your career you can start having kids

Get adducted by an alien and impregnated with one child(you can cheat for this)

Become a master vampire and have fought or spared with every vampire that lives in forgotten hollow except your partner

have at least 1 vampire enemy

complete frog collection

Slay your enemy(learn how to make the vampire cure then with it in your sims inventory click on your enemy and under mean the slay option should be there

Generation 2- Home is on earth (alien)

Your parents were always either out feeding off of humans or at work leaving you and your siblings to fend for yourselves. You weren’t into the vampire lifestyle considering you weren’t even a vampire, in fact you were an alien, being alien in a vampire household your siblings often teased you and told you that you shouldn’t be on earth but you thought maybe they are right, maybe your true calling is to be in space! you do everything possible to get to sixam but when you arrive you realize you don’t belong in space but rather on earth

Build a rocket ship and get to sixam

Generation 3- Waterfalls and sand (mermaid)

You and your father are the only humans in your family, your mother loves you both but your grandmother ignores your father and clearly hates you but she has never shown hatred towards your sibling. You never understood why she hated you just because you were human because you know she was once a human too. As a young child you fell in love with the ocean after a day at school where  they talked about the way sulani has become a wreck and how beautiful it used to be. When you become a young adult you leave your childhood home to go to the beautiful islands of sulani and quickly realizing that these islands really need your help. As much as you love sulani and your new fish friends, you can’t help but love fishing so any time you catch a fish you “release” it back into the wild.(you can’t actually do this so just sell it and take away the money)

Restore sulani 

Have 2 human children and 2 mermaid children

Find the hidden chest and “open” it and take the prize(you can’t actually open the chest so pretend they opened it and add 5000 simoleons to your household funds, I recommend turning that lot into a beach so nobody has to live there)

Get 3 tans over the course of your life

Generation 4- Ghostly sounds (ghost)

Your loving family was the best thing in your life. Your parents always accommodated to you and your siblings needs so when you told them you wanted to be an engineer they bought you a robotics station so you could practice. But sadly on the day you aged up into a young adult your station mysteriously caught fire and you died in the fire. AHHHHH...wait I'm still here? well, what now? your already dead so there’s no need to worry about dying...so what is there to do, well you could try to bring yourself to life. You finally bring yourself back to life but it doesn’t last very long...

For this gen there are 2 options that you could play, both have the same outcome but different difficulties option 1 I would say this is the more tedious way by making ambrosia. Option 2 is using the wishing well

Traits-perfectionist/gloomy/genius       Aspiration-Renaissance Sim Career- Engineer

You don’t have to complete the aspiration or max the career

Your too lazy to cook and garden and fish so why not take it the easy way and just wish for it.

Max career and complete aspiration

Once you have 10000 simoleons and level 5 in the career then you can start wishing

Any time you wish you have to give a 5000 simoleon offering first

Generation 5- The wonders of magic (spellcaster)

Your mother died another tragic death after working her whole “life” to bring herself back, this was devastating to you and you wanted to get away and move to a nice place for you and your high school sweetheart to live peacefully. All of this changed however when you went exploring one night and found a...portal? You step inside and now your floating in the sky with a huge building in front of you, you go inside and there is a friendly sim to greet you, you ask about the place and they explain it is where the spell casters hang. This sim offers to make you a spell caster which you agree too not really understanding what they mean but next thing you know your waving wands and making potions

Traits-Ambitious/Out-going/Self-Assured Aspiration-SpellCraft and Sorcery Career-Law

All the magic that you have seen never impressed you, but the small garden your mother had for her potion ingredients intrigued you. In fact you had heard about the myth of the plant sim and wanted to be a plant sim yourself so move out to port promise to live your planty life and fix the gross air.

Literally my fav sim of my legacy (gen 8) ❤

Zoe is a level 5 celebrity right now, and will be placing her own celeb tile in the Del Sol Walk of Fame very very soon 👀

She lived in an off the grid home her whole childhood and hated every minute of it (the off the grid thing, not all her childhood, she had a nice childhood), she moved out right away when she became a YA.

She has two siblings named Nickolas and Camryn, that were born after she moved out.

Her best friend is her cousin Paula, they met when Zoe was on a family holiday to Henford On Bagley, where Paula lived, and are inseparable, they've had several holidays together and Paula is always invited to all the events Zoe attends.

Her other best friend is a fellow actor named Theodore, they met when he came over to work some lines with her husband Rohan and Theo started flirting with her, she shut that down very quick but Theo apologized a million times the next few days and they got know each other better, they clicked right away (she developed a tiny crush on Theo afterwards but will never admit to it bc they're both married)

Loved doing this and would love to talk more about my other heirs!

Landcaster legacy Gen 7 Update #23

Dear Diary, Janie dared me to kiss her at the sleepover last night. Everything kind of just went back to normal after that, but now I don't know what to think, because I actually liked the kiss. Maybe I should talk to Lacy. -Violet

"Lacy, Lacy, Lacy," Violet was saying over and over again. "I'm sleeping," Lacy mumbled. "Get up!" Violet said even louder. "Ugh," Lacy complained. "It's like 10am on Saturday, what?" "I need to talk to you."

"I think I like girls," Violet said. "Congrats," Lacy said. "But I like boys too," Violet added. "So, you like boys and girls, so do I," Lacy shrugged. "I think I have a crush on Janie." "What did any of this have to do with waking me up so early?" Lacy asked.

"I just wanted to talk this through with someone," Violet told her. "Oh," Lacy said. "Glad I could be of service. But really, whomever you like it doesn't matter. As long as you're happy." "Thanks Lacy," Violet smiled up at her great great grandmother.

"Was everything okay with your family the other day?" Violet asked Owen at work later that day. "You're asking me a question about myself?" he asked jokingly. "You're interested in someone else's life for once? Are you okay?" "Shut up asshole," Violet stuck her middle finger up.

"Everything is fine," Owen told her. "My Mom made a surprise visit, picked my younger brother up from daycare without telling us, older sister freaked out. It's fine now though." "Oh," Violet said. "Your Mom doesn't live with you?" "She's in and out, usually not around though."

Joyce came over later that afternoon to further discuss the details of Lacy's punishment. "We aren't paying anymore," Ethan said. "Your son is a little punk who tried to take advantage of our daughter Violet. He deserved to get a broken nose." "My boy is a sweetheart."

"Ha" Ethan let out a laugh. "That couldn't be further from the truth." "Says who?" Joyce asked annoyed. "Me," Lacy exclaimed cheerfully. "He's an asshole, doesn't deserve shit. I'd beat him up again." "I just want us all to be on the same page," Mads added in.

"I was perfectly fine with our previous deal, don't know why you want to renegotiate," Joyce scoffed. "That was before I found out your son is a little punk," Ethan. "How about this," Mads began. "We'll pay half-" "No" Ethan said quickly, Mads flashed them a look.

"We'll pay half, and Lacy will do community service for a week" Mads said "But you need to have a conversation with your son about the proper way to treat women" "He's perfect" Joyce told them. "And I want you to pay everything" "No" said Ethan "This is going nowhere" Lacy sighed

"Gig starts at 8," Janie told her. "I don't know if my mom will let me go out," Violet admitted. "I slept over at your house last night, not sure if she'll let me out of the house two nights in a row." "Oh, my watcher, Violet," Janie rolled her eyes. "Just lie."

"Ask to hang out at my house tonight," Janie told her. "The gig ends at 10 so you'll be home in time for your 11 o'clock curfew, easy." "I don't know, Janie," Violet said hesitantly. "I'm just starting to gain my parents trust back, I don't want to blow it." "We need you, Violet"

Nat stopped over to hang out with Leo that afternoon. "Have you thought about what you plan to do?" Leo asked her. "About the baby." "Well Noah thinks I should get rid of it," Nat said. "Sent me a text saying I'd be a terrible mother. I think I'm going to keep the baby."

"If anything, I want to prove Noah wrong," Nat said. "I've also always wanted to be a mother, and you bet I'm going to be a great mother." "I know you will be," Leo encouraged her. "And I'm here as a friend, for support."

"Can I get your advice on something?" Violet asked Lacy after returning home from work. "Sure," Lacy shrugged. Violet told her about the gig tonight and asked her opinion. "You'd be an idiot if you lied again. They're just starting to trust you again."

"But what if this is my big break," Violet said. "I can't afford to risk that." "You're young," Lacy told her. "It might not feel that way, but you are. You have so much time yet, to get that big break. Don't blow the relationship you have with your parents for one night."

Happy Valentine's Day!

It's a day early, but I'll be working most of the day tomorrow and honestly I just couldn't wait anymore!

The Rules for my Encanto Legacy Challenge are officially posted on my page. I've still got a couple of wonderful people playtesting, so adjustments may be made, but I'm ready to share it!

There isn’t much set up for this legacy, but here are some general notes to keep in mind as you go along.

Once you move to your family’s 40x30 lot, your heir must always live there. Other family members can move away, but your household should always consist of the previous heir and the current heir and their spouse/partner and children. Every gen should add to the house or completely rebuild to suit the growing family.

The Madrigals of Encanto have kids in 3s, so unless otherwise specified for a specific gen, 3 is always the number of kids you’re aiming for. That being said, no one says these kids have to biological. Feel free to adopt!

I’m writing this legacy in the same way I like to play them. I give you lots of options so hopefully this can be played almost base game only or with as many packs as you have. With that being said, if I haven’t already given you other options for something that you don’t have or simply don’t like, please feel free to adjust as you go.

Gen One- “That’s how Abuela became an Abuela.”

You’re a young adult when you fall in love. Eager to get started on raising your kids, you have 3 in quick succession. Tragedy strikes, and you find yourself having to raise your babies and build your home alone. You just want to see everyone grow to reach their full potential.

Aspiration: Successful Lineage

Career: odd jobs/painting/gardening etc

Required Trait: Family oriented

Objectives:

get married ASAP (this is sims, it can happen quick!)

Have at least 3 babies (you can definitely use the On Ley Line lot trait to make this happen faster.

TRAGEDY! For some reason, you lose your spouse. Divorce, death, doesn’t matter. You have 3 small babies/toddlers and you need to move.

Move to a 40x30 lot (or larger). This is going to be the family home, you will need room to grow. No cheating, use the starter funds to buy your first house and then buy an empty lot. You’re going to build your house from the ground up.

You cannot have a career. You have to focus on raising your family, so do odd jobs, paint or garden or forage for things around the world.

Max the parenting skill and the logic skill

Try to complete the aspiration, but you’ll have to do this while also moving on to gen 2.

You can move kids out as they age up to young adults (stupid 8 sim household limits), but your heir must stay and live in the family home.

You’re welcome to have a love interest after the death of your spouse, but they cannot move in and you cannot get married until after Gen 2 Heir officially takes over.

An hour later, Hex steps back as she admires her human form in the mirror. Her short, roughly chopped bob feels so fresh. Jagged tendrils of hair harshly frame her rounded cheeks and jaw, adding an edge to her appearance.

She fully embraces the dark, bold colours that she loved as a teenager. Her style whilst she was at university was more comfortable and casual. Now, she must have an intimidating image so that no one in the criminal organisation she works for will mess with her.

Staring at her reflection, Hex realises that it’s been so long since she was in her alien form. She doesn’t want to hide who she is as much. At university, she kept her alien self a secret so she could always have an advantage over her peers. She will still use her human form mostly in public, but she can let her true self be free.

Of course, her alien form needs a makeover too! Hex spends the rest of the day getting her new look together. At the end, she feels like a new sim!

It’s time to get her life together!

Let’s take a quick turn to keep things interesting. Believe it or not, I don’t always feel like making sims. Starting from scratch can be a daunting thought. So sometimes I do makeovers. Most of the time it’s those poor, unfortunate pre-mades. Other times it’s townies I think I can glow up. In rarer times, I’ll revisit some of my legacy characters. I was a vanilla player for the first year of this game, and even after I started downloading things I was very wary and got into it slowly. (my game blew up within the first month after downloading some sims on the gallery that had some bad mods. I don’t even know how since the cc box was not checked!) I was near the end of generation 8 when I began downloading hair, makeup, and eyes, so I’ve never seen most of the Pruetts with cc. Sometimes I wonder what they’d look like if that story went on today. Let’s reimagine Jasmine Pruett!

Jasmine was the first child born in generation 4 and the only pre-gen 5 sim I have. I didn’t think to save them until gen 5, and I later recreated her. I think her traits were insane, active, and cheerful? Not too sure about that last one. No idea what her aspiration was. But I remember her being in a flirty mood a lot because of the insane trait. I like to take everything I know about a sim into consideration when doing makeovers (which is why many of the pre-mades suck!). Anyway, here’s what I came up with.

I didn’t change any of her features. I gave her a better skin tone closely related to what she was born with, skin details, and better make up. What do you think?

Goals

Get Bella closer to Kiyoshi Ito (Bella is Aro so I cannot do romance from her perspective, so I will need her to ask Kiyoshi to move in with her and once I play him I will have him do romance stuff)

Job promotions and Aspiration promotions

The first thing I did when I started up was adding the two legacy holidays. Anna just died on Summer 18th, so the first Holiday, which I named is on that day. I started my game in Winter, so the second holiday, Festival of Magic, is on Winter 1. The tradition to represent Anna is Romantic Spirit as one of her traits was Romantic. Also, you decorate for the day with spooky decor. Because it's fun. I play on 28 day seasons so it won't be tomorrow but it will come eventually. I like that I will have one holiday in the winter and one in the summer.

After holidays were added, I started to play. Everyone was sad, as is expected, but progress must continue. Everyone began working on whatever needs they had. I don't think I will be moving Bella into the Master bedroom until she ages up. Also, as Benjamin is now a 1-star celeb (something I think I forgot to mention after his last gig) he had room for a quirk and because he was so sad because, y'know, his mother died, he developed the emotional bomb quirk. This will be fun.

I also gave him the Noticeable perk. Benjamin was also not sad very quickly and I think that's due to the quick. In addition, part of the food category has "Purchase the most expensive fridge and stove and fully upgrade both of them". I put both the Schmapple fridge and stove in Benjamin's apartment (fit the Aesthetic) and am having Brielle work on upgrading them. Emory gained the close-knit lifestyle.

Bella is now an A student. Gatsby maxed movement and potty. And Benjamin went to work. Gold medal, obviously.

Bella trained Ceder to sit and became best friends with Kiyoshi Ito.

I soon moved Kiyoshi Ito in, after having Benjamin befriend him. I assigned him to Brielle's old bed until he and Bella are ready to move into the master bedroom and share a bed. Kiyoshi had also already aged up to YA but Bella is still a teen for another week. Kiyoshi did not have a job so I got him the Salaryperson Job, as he is from Snoy Escape.

I also took Kiyoshi to Mt Komorebi to work on his aspiration, and since it was Festival of Snow I also got the Fesitval Outfit.

When Kiyoshi got home, he gave Bella some unopened simmi capsules and Gatsby aged up. Ain't he cute?

Emory also aged up. Bella got the Single and Lovin' it Lifestyle and Kiyoshi learned piano. Also, I realized I had 10 sections in the crypt but only the first 8 gens will die, so I decided to turn the last two into an area to honour dead family members who are not the heir or spouse. In each unit will be a photo of the deceased (often a selfie because we just need a photo) and on the bottom the urn. The top unit will be the child of Zilver (Like Brielle or Benjamin) and the unit(s) under is their partner and children. Is that morbid? Maybe.

Last but not least, Benjamin went to work again. I just love taking pictures of him looking cool. Gold medal, a promotion and back to one star celeb (didn't even realise he lost it.)

NSB (Straud Legacy) Gen 8 Ep. 162: Baby Envy

Peachy and Jack spent a good amount of time visiting other happy new parents in their close family circle, starting with Tori and Miguel.

As they watched Luigi and Olive babble on together in the play tent Tori mentioned that her little girl was going to be a big sister soon. Peachy was surprised, as she too had a May/December romance and Miguel was even older than Jack, likely to have even less time to watch his kids grow.

Miguel admitted it turned out he was quite enjoying fatherhood. Being isolated as they were on the farm, they both had agreed they’d like Olive to have a sibling to keep her company. Miguel had already taken one potion of youth and would take as many as he needed to see his babies age up well.

The sad contrast to his own very limited time with Jack weighed on Peachy on their way home, but he avoided starting another fight over it.

He didn’t have long to dwell on it, as Paul invited the boys to the ranch for a visit before they even got settled. It was a lot of travel, but enriching Luigi’s life with cousin time was worth it. Peachy was always happy to have the chance to cook for his family again anyway.

During the meal Paul and Nikita excitedly announced that they too were expecting not just one but two new bundles of joy. It seemed non-twin Paul had been the one to be blessed with twins of his own!

After the meal Jack convinced his boy to join him by the barn. He introduced Luigi to all the furry residents, including their old friend Taz the cat who had left his mother Luna to travel to the ranch when Paul and Nikita had moved out, and was now a graceful elder cat himself.

Peachy completed the whole set of first cousin visits by meeting Toni in the Magic Realm for a quick duel a few days later.

Her little Hunter was doing well, and she had found the perfect venue for their next get together with him and Luigi. A new “rugged adventures” campground had opened at the base of the volcano in Sulani, and she thought it would be the perfect lure for Papa Jack.

Peachy agreed that it sounded fantastic and would be an easy sell as the place to celebrate Luigi and Hunter’s next birthdays.

Before they left Toni asked him what he thought about her and Manny trying for a sibling for Hunter. After all he hadn’t steered her wrong the last time.

Peachy did his best not to show how much all this talk of new babies bothered him just then. It wasn’t Toni’s fault that Jack wouldn’t have time to raise another baby with him while everyone else was gleefully expanding their family. He tried to put on a happy face as he urged her to decide for herself this time around. He really couldn’t advise her on having a second child when he had no plans to have one of his own.

That night after putting his little man to bed Peachy settled in the rocker to think, doing his best to keep it from becoming a sulk.

When he’d chosen to get pregnant and before he’d offered the magical mermaid kelp to Jack, his thoughts on more children had been centered as much or more on his spouse than on himself. Now he realized that he had a desire to have another child, regardless of how Jack felt. However, he didn’t think he could share those thoughts without re-igniting their argument about Jack’s lifespan and wasn’t sure if he’d want to raise a second child on his own.

Peachy promised himself that he wouldn’t cause another fight on their upcoming Sulani camping adventure with Toni. He still held out hope though, that the islands and their inhabitants would help Jack realize how perfect him becoming a merman would be for the whole family.

Okay I’m SO curious so I have a lot of questions

7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 24, & 31! (If you feel up for it, of course!)

Hellooooo~ Some questions have been answered already, so I'll add them at the end of the post!

8. What about your story are you proud of?

The story itself, if I'm honest xD I started hoarding screenshots and went through them pretty often thinking "oh, I wish I could do something with these...". I was worried about it being a bad sims story about a childish fan disney save. And I did it. It was a big step for me, and I'm so happy I had a positive answer to them and you get to enjoy the content!

9. What about your story are you looking to improve on?

Mostly everything! I'm trying to learn poses because I want some scenes to look more natural. I am happy with the way the graphics are turning out recently, but I have to play more with angles and camera locations.... while learning some more photoshop tricks to add effects. Also, I'm trying to be more consistent with the posts and not to take SO LONG to complete the chapters! I'm actually quick at the gameplay, but the posting is another story :') For short: everything can be improved!

31. Drop some random trivia about your story

Eis's severe allergy towards apples is a constant trait of the family bloodline. It will play a major role in the future.

This is the first of my stories where some heirs will actually die and not precisely from old age.

Some well-known characters will have different roles and personalities from what we know. I think Prince Charming was a great example of what to expect.

Even if every generation is dramatic in different levels, there will always be a "happy ending" for the characters, even if it's bittersweet.

Doc was almost the "Cinderella" of gen 2, but I wanted to play more with Eis' children before moving forward in the story. That's why I decided to have a middle child as the heir.

7. What's the biggest risk you’ve taken with your story? did it pay off?

Being cynical enough to don't give a "happily ever after" to any of my characters xD I mean, Eis story (Snow White) was a safe bet. Poor defenseless pregnant teen girl goes through a lot but at the end gets a happy life. But Ella gets her prince, who ends up being a jackass, she is still miserable and the villain wins. I was happily surprised when I saw most of you liked the turn of events!

10. Is your story fully planned or are you still working things out? is there a definitive end?

Both of them are halfway planned, I dare to say. I'm still figuring out what to do with the last gens, but since both were intended to be LONG legacy challenges I'm taking things slow? I don't know what the future will bring, so that's why I make the generation chapters like "related-but-individual-short-stories".

15. What have been the highlights of creating your story?

Improving my photoshop skills, getting excited about playing my saves once again, and getting actual regular readers and mutuals! I never expected the last part. I thought I was sending my story into the void, but you have been so kind and I have even made some friends!

24. Are there any characters who remind you of yourself?

Actually... no? I'm a normal and quiet person and my sims tend to have pretty quirky personalities 💁
