I'm not a designer or artist and I don't generally face the issue of people trying to pay me with 'exposure' and that type of frustrating situation, but as a tax advisor I frequently run into clients who do not think that my time and experience are worth the price they are and try to circumvent that. I am sorry, but it doesn't matter the medium - a call, a meeting, a report - I did not get to be where I am and with the ability to give the advice I can without having that time being paid for and reverted into training. To tell me 'I don't need to prepare' to cut my hours and reduce my rates for something is presumptuous and rude, particularly if you then will just drill me for things and expect answers on the spot. If you think I'm too expensive then fine, don't hire me, that is a choice I will respect - but to try and get premium advice for a very niche and specific set of operations without thinking it has the value it has, then I'm sorry. I don't want to further work for you and I find this behavior disrespectful.

Lol I've been literally too tired to function today. I spent the entire day just trying to "wake up", but I'm still just as tired right now as I was when I woke up this morning (and is why I haven't been super active or capable enough to interact, despite how hard I've been trying). How does anyone function this time of year?! (at least on my side of the globe). I even had a nap today and it didn't help (in fact, it made me more tired). I've had no ability to concentrate and no energy whatsoever 😔
