since we're talking about our fave book things i wanna add Mia and Tina's friendship!!!!! they're so pure and healthy but it bothers me so much that Mia always calls Lilly her best friend when Tina is RIGHT THERE and is so much nicer to her!!! anyway i'm sad they cut her out the movies but the way Meg has the movies exist in the books and explains why Tina isn't in it is great sdknfksdjnf (i also love how diverse Mia's friend group is!!) anyway #JUSTICEFORTINAHAKIMBABA

regarding the diversity i once saw a buzzfeed post or something that was talking about the differences in book vs. movie and they addressed this by going “but in the movies, the most colorful thing about mia’s friend group is jeremiah’s hair” and i’m still not over that.

and YES i love their friendship!!! tina is just so so kind to everyone but especially mia and endlessly supportive while also giving good advice. and i just addressed how i view lilly and so while i like her i do believe their friendship just isn’t the healthiest. i think mia only clings to the “best friend” label because it’s been like that for over a decade and how do you drop a label like that? i guess dumping her brother and accidentally stealing her boyfriend all within like 18 hours does the trick. but yeah “justice for tina” is one of the themes of this blog. i love her. so goddamn much. (being a john-paul reynolds-abernathy iv hate blog is the other theme. along with being michael stans 2k5ever)
