Today's AI illustration is of a lucid, precognitive dream I had in 2019, when I was warned of a horrifying tragedy in El Paso that made headlines the following day. The man looking at us was the soul of a man who was the full namesake of one of the victims (by both first and last name), but not a victim himself, who appeared in the dream as a messenger. (I tried over and over to get this image just right, and the top image was the closest I got. The other two pictures are alternative versions that I found evocative, but which didn't capture the man's appearance as precisely.) I've noticed that when I receive mediumistic dreams showing liminal parts of the spirit world, the souls rarely seem to notice onlookers. It's when they look you in the eye and acknowledge you that you know something important is being conveyed. This man stood on the edge of the group of people I saw in this room, as if very consciously posing for a photograph so that I would recognize him, turned his eyes to me momentarily and nodded knowingly. I found him immediately the next day, as soon as I googled the names of the victims. His picture was the very first one to come up in the search. If you want to read more about the full story behind this picture, I posted it about it when it happened in two parts, here and here.

About a year ago, I attempted a self-directed past life regression meditation, and instead, found myself catapulted that night into my future incarnation as a girl of Igbo and Ibibio heritage in Nigeria. This is an AI-prompted portrait of my future self. Imagine a city to her left, and a kind uncle watching over her. I was confused about my identity, and "my" uncle had to point out to me who I was. I was either of Ibibio or mixed Igbo-Ibibio heritage. (The moment of clairaudience was very slightly garbled, stuttering, as it often does.) I had never heard the term "Ibibio" before. When I looked into it, I found out that there are many documented cases of reincarnation in Ibibio communities. I sometimes wonder whether it was a moment of actual precognition, or something even more mysterious, a kind of meeting of two concurrent minds. Perhaps that little girl is alive in Nigeria right now, imagining me as her past self.
The day after I had the dream, I fell violently ill, and had to go to the hospital. It was almost like I had been shown that deterioration of the body and death was no big deal. So, should I, G-d forbid, pass too soon, come find me by the river, in Nigeria, seven years from the day I die.

Some AI (Midjourney) illustrations inspired by some of my visions, precognitive dreams, and spirit guides. I wish I could paint this well, but it's a lovely feeling to be able to share what is in your head even when you don't have the skill! Note - everything else I have posted here before has either been an actual, authentically channeled image or spirit photograph. But this has a similar feel and SPIRIT!

A few days ago, my guides encouraged me to ask a person for help with a very difficult situation. I told them, “Absolutely not! It would be too humiliating.” This was the answer I received. Two days later, the person in question reached out to me of their own accord, offering their assistance, without my even asking for it. The relief and gratitude I felt was enormous. Then, I understood why my guides were so emphatic about potential. It doesn’t matter how much potential we have if we don’t do everything in our power to fulfill it. Sometimes, that can mean accepting help even when it hurts our pride or ego. Caring for others and helping them is an expression of love. Accept it with gratitude.

Here is a video I made on the similarities and differences between imagination and psychic perception, and why those differences don’t matter as much as your fear (but it’s still important to discern the difference!)

Yesterday, I found a stick of incense on my altar that I didn’t remember putting there. I suspect it was an apport. So, I gave the spirits what they were asking for, and let them create some art with it. Here are some of the results!

A Spirit Visited Me This Morning
A little note for the day: This morning, as I was waking up, a spirit visited me. I find that the hypnopompic state - that is, the one in which you are about to awaken from sleep - is the state in which I am most receptive to receiving clairvoyant visitations. It happens even more often than in the hypnagogic state, which is the state you are in when you are about to fall asleep. But there’s something about those in-between states of consciousness (including lucid dreaming), in which alertness and relaxation are in just the right proportion to each other to make us more receptive to spirit communication. (There must be a neurological explanation for it!)
It was a very pleasant experience. The woman appeared to me smiling and waving warmly, in a sunny garden setting, as if “flagging me down” into her native environment, and introducing herself. I had no idea who she was. She was a big, “earthy” woman, with very short hair, and seemed to be of mixed Latina heritage. I sensed that her name was Rosie or Rosa. She showed me that she had loved to eat, and the implication was that diabetes had contributed to her passing.
Because I had no idea who she was, I asked whom she was here for. I sensed that it was someone I was connected to in some way, but I didn’t know who or how. She gave me the first name of someone with whom I had interacted only marginally, a couple of times, through a Facebook group for spiritual advisors. I knew of no one else by that name.
I’m usually very much against psychics and mediums springing information on unsuspecting targets. It always smacks to me of ego-tripping, and points to poor boundaries. However, I knew that if I didn’t check with the person the spirit had named whether the information matched up, I wouldn’t know whether to trust my intuition and spirit communications of this nature in the future. So, I asked the person for permission to message them directly, and gave them all the information I had. It turned out that Rosa was their great-grandmother! I got the sense that she wanted to make sure that this person was taking good care of their physical health, so as to avoid the same problems that she herself had had in life.
I’m so glad that I took the risk and did what I needed to do to pass on the message. I’ve had one or two experiences like this before, in which I didn’t do so, and they still haunt me to this day, no pun intended! Sometimes we just have to take that leap of faith. (This is also the second time this has happened in connection with this Facebook group!)
A day in the life of an ever-developing medium. This experience made me happy, and renewed my self-confidence.

Yesterday, someone I follow on social media shared a beautiful letter by Helen Keller, written to the New York Symphony Orchestra in 1924, after she “heard” their rendition of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony on the radio. It made me think of how much her experience reminds me of what it’s like to receive information psychically or mediumistically through extrasensory perception. This is my little post on the analogy, in which I read the letter and share my thoughts. Enjoy!

Well, hello. Another “dream about a long gone ex with whom you drew clear and well-justified boundaries, and then they text you the next day” moment. (A different one than this one.) Ugh. Which part of “Don’t come at this badass witch!” did you not understand, gentlemen?

I’ve been meaning to write about this expression my spirit guides frequently use in their spiritual shorthand for a while. Interestingly, they most often use it not when they are trying to get me or a client to do something specific and proactive, but more often, when they are cautioning us to refrain from “rocking the boat.” Protecting what you have can mean practicing discernment in when to take action, and when not. Sometimes, protecting what you have means allowing its energy to remain undisturbed - and keeping it away from things that would do that. This often means not setting energy in motion through speech, i.e. guarding one’s tongue. Sometimes, when we are hypervigilant of losing something we have, we act rashly, or out of fear, in trying to protect what we love. My guides would like to remind us that actions taken in fear are often disruptive. Wisdom is born in silence and peace.

Hello! I adore your blog and your artwork. I have been working with spirits and magic for a long time, but I still get huge lapses in self confidence and begin to doubt my perceptions. Then I have to start all over. I would like to get to the point where I am steady in what I know and can begin to help others. Do you have any advice or maybe even some favorite books or websites? Thanks so much, Jay
Hi, Jay!
Thank you so much for your kind message! It's lovely to know that my work is reaching an audience that is enjoying and benefitting from it. Off the top of my head, I can definitely recommend a few things: Learn about energy healing, and make a regular practice of it, so that you become very comfortable with feeling energy and using visualization to shift it and clear it. It's the best foundation for any spiritual work. You can reference books such as "The Psychic Healing Book," by Amy Wallace, and "Hands of Light," by Barbara Brennan. For psychic work and mediumship, I highly recommend the books "Medium," by Konstanza MorningStar, "Where Two Worlds Meet," by Janet Nohavec, and "Moving Beyond," by Fleur Leussink, who also offers courses and mentorship programs. For channeling, I recommend learning to practice clairaudient dictation, for which I describe a method in my more traditionally formatted version of my blog, "Voices from The Light" (where you can find a lot of my metaphysical writings.) Good books on channeling include "Opening to Channel," by Sanaya Roman, and "Channeling: The Heart and The Art," by my friend, Diana Muenz Chen (who, by the way, studied with Barbara Brennan!)
In general, my advice is to get to know your guides, learn to trust them, and try different methods of communication until you find ones that work for your sensibilities and guides. Don't focus on fear-based beliefs, but do take energetic and spiritual integrity, as well as basic protection and clearing, seriously. (I've written a lot about that on my blog!) Also, don't worry about whether or not you are "just making it up" (since ideally, the proof will be "in the pudding" - and anyway, the psychic senses are basically passive, receptive forms of imagination rather than an active, projective one), and don't be afraid to make mistakes. It's all a learning process, but once you've established a strong connection with your guides, they will teach you how to get better at communicating with them, and help your development unfold. Even startling experiences where you think you messed something up can be part of a learning process. Keep track of your hits and misses. Build up a list of all the times your clairsenses were right about something. Find some friends who resonate with you, and with whom you can practice, but know that you can develop a lot on your own, with your guides, as well.
By the way, as strange as it may sound, no method of magic has ever worked as well for me as connecting with my spirit guides, more or less spontaneously throwing a small "tantrum" at them about something I wanted to change, asking for help, and then giving charity in their name as thanks. You can always ask for temporary guides to help with a given issue, too. But you have to do the energetic groundwork to establish a strong, clear and joyful connection, first, so that you keep evolving and learning about your own energetic responsibility for what you manifest, through a two-way conversation.
There are some things I haven't posted here for formatting reasons, by the way, but have shared on Instagram - mainly a couple of videos in which I recently shared some insights on ITC and lessons on forming spiritual connections. I think I'll be posting more there from now on, so, if you like, you can follow me there, as well!
Best of luck on your journey! Sending you all my blessings!
Best wishes,
Emily

The other night, an ex with whom I had set very clear boundaries prohibiting communication approached me in a dream, wanting to patch things up. In the morning, with some annoyance, I vaguely remembered him nuzzling up to me. Now, the usual interpretation of this would be that on some subconscious level, I missed him. But nope. This guy is a professional meditator, and I knew he must have been trying to get at me on the Astral. I made a note in my journal yesterday morning that he was dreamstalking me, and that I should kick his energy out where it belonged. Lo and behold, today he texted me for the first time in months, saying he had been thinking of me and wondering how I was, but it had taken him a couple of days to figure out if it was OK to say hi. Thankfully, I saw it coming and put my boundaries right back up. Don’t mess with your ex if she’s a witch, boys!

An Update on The Incident Where COVID Stopped Me from Joining A Project My Guides Were Warning Me Against
Since the incident linked here happened, about a week after I recovered from COVID, the head of the project mentioned in my post started reaching out to me again, saying that they really wanted me back on the team. Could I fly out tonight? My intuition was screaming at me that I would regret it, and something was very wrong, and Salvador also said no, no, no. Not that. Not even though I need the work, I need the money, and I need more professional experience in my field.
About an hour ago, the person who replaced me when I got sick found me on Facebook, by chance. They messaged me privately and confided in me that the project is, to put it politely, in shambles. “Consider yourself lucky,” they said, for having gotten sick.
What can I say? Thank you to my guides for always having my back!

Dear Followers on Tumblr,
Guess what! After years of keeping myself “in the broom closet,” I’ve finally decided to create a Facebook page for my spiritual work! This site is by far the platform on which I have the most followers online. Would you follow my page on Facebook, too? It would mean so much to me! I will be posting information on my writings on metaphysical subjects, my readings, and possibly in the future, other channeling related events and content. There is also a related discussion group! Join us, why don’t you?
Love,
Emily and the Team
