Beyond the Media
The weight of the world felt like it was resting squarely on my shoulders as I sat alone in the locker room, my thoughts consumed by the relentless onslaught of media coverage. Creative had shifted my character into a heel storyline, and I had been thrown into the midst of a whirlwind of negativity and criticism. It wasn't what I wanted, but it was my job, and I was struggling to reconcile that with the negative attention it was bringing.
As I stared at my phone, reading through hurtful comments and articles, the door to the locker room swung open, and Shane McMahon walked in. His presence alone brought a glimmer of comfort, a reminder that I wasn't entirely alone in this.
"Hey, YNN," Shane said softly, his voice carrying a note of concern.
I looked up, offering him a small smile despite the turmoil within me. "Hey, Shane."
He took a seat next to me, his eyes studying my face. "I can tell something's bothering you. You okay?"
I sighed, running a hand through my hair. "It's just... this whole heel storyline thing. The media, the fans – it's getting to me, Shane."
He nodded, his understanding evident. "I get it. The wrestling world can be brutal sometimes, especially when it comes to storylines. But you can't let them get to you."
I leaned back, my frustration bubbling to the surface. "I know, I know. It's just hard. I didn't sign up for this – for all the hate and criticism."
Shane's gaze held mine, his expression filled with empathy. "YN, I've been in this business for a long time. I've had my fair share of ups and downs, and trust me, I know how hard it can be to block out the noise."
I sighed again, feeling a sense of relief wash over me knowing that he understood. "I just don't want this negativity to affect my mindset, my performance."
Shane placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "You're strong, YNN. And you've got the talent and determination to rise above this. Don't let the negativity define you."
His words were a balm to my wounded spirit, a reminder that I had the power to control how I responded to the criticism. "I appreciate that, Shane."
He smiled warmly, his gaze unwavering. "You're not alone in this. Remember, we're a team – a family – here in WWE. Lean on us, lean on me, whenever you need to."
I nodded, a genuine smile tugging at my lips. "Thank you, Shane."
As we sat there, the weight of the media's scrutiny didn't feel quite as suffocating. Shane's presence and his words of encouragement were a lifeline, grounding me in the midst of the storm. We didn't need to say much more – the understanding between us was unspoken, the camaraderie of the wrestling world binding us together.
"You've got this, YNN," Shane said, standing up as he prepared to leave.
I looked up at him, a newfound sense of determination in my eyes. "Yeah, I do. Thanks to you."
He winked, offering me a confident grin. "Anytime. Just remember, don't let them get to you."
As he walked out of the locker room, his words echoed in my mind, a reminder that I had the power to rise above the negativity and the strength to stay true to myself, no matter the storyline. And as I prepared to step back into the spotlight, I held onto Shane's advice, letting it be my shield against the storm of criticism and doubt.

Okay so If you haven't seen the Shane McMahon and freshly unmasked Kane promo video where they are at the restaurant, I'll fill you in. ( I linked the vid above).
Okay so... strap in folks....
This video takes place before their ambulance match, and after the electrocution incident. There is just so much to unpack here.
When Kane first comes in and Shane confronts him about actually showing up and he said you know me better than that.... I always keep my promises.
The s--- eating grin Kane had when he said he piledrove Linda into the stage?
When Kane said he ~electrocuted~ Shane because he didn't want him to have children, and that when Shane tries to in the future, he would think of Kane, and then ASKED HIM if he succeeded in his mission?????
Like the energy in the room is insane.
Kane then goes onto say his only happiness comes from suffering of other people.
Finally, at the end Shane says in Kane's ear that he is going to put him out of his misery....
Kane was serving face and has his pouty lips the whole time he wasn't grinning in sadistic glee lol.
Also this whole scene is so cinematic and reminds me of a soap opera. PLEASE watch the whole thing, you won't regret it.
Also you get to see unmasked Kane in a black t-shirt/polo shirt so that is a bonus!
