Request for you! Headcanons for what got Illumi, Chrollo and Hisoka obsessed with their darling in the first place, if you don't mind? Whether it be physical characteristics, mannerisms, personality traits, etc? Love what you've done so far!

Chrollo: 

Honestly, the most generic answer to this is intelligence. But to expand upon that that more, Chrollo would find different types of intelligence interesting. Chrollo is someone that can be a bit of a blank slate in terms of actually knowing who he is. He’s a person that takes on multiple masks easily, and doesn’t entirely understand himself.

That being said, I don’t think it’s just academic intelligence that Chrollo would be attracted to. Where he would be interested in that, if a person was a genius but incapable of making conversation, he wouldn’t bother.

So a darling that has their own unique traits would draw him in the most. Someone that’s emotionally intelligent, musically intelligent, etc… these things would interest him right away.

It wouldn’t just be about someone making a good conversation. Chrollo wants someone that has their own view of life, no matter what it is. He wants someone sure of himself, as his own view of himself is pretty flimsy. 

Physical characteristics is more secondary in this case. He would definitely know his darling is a beauty, but in the initial attraction phase he goes more for who they are as a person. 

He would lean more towards someone who is more optimistic about life, a stark contrast to who he is at his core. He’d initially find the difference interesting and would love debating you about morals.

For the more yandere side, he would almost obsess over the aspects that make you different from everyone else. Are you good at art? He’d be amazed with every piece you ever make, impressed with a natural talent that can’t be stolen. This goes for basically every hobby/ability/talent his darling has. 

Illumi:

Illumi is… at his core, an obsessive person. The moments where this can be seen the most are definitely when it comes to his family, and of course, Killua. As family is such a vital thing to Illumi, his darling’s personality would also be more important than physical appearance.

Similar to Chrollo, I can imagine him going more for someone that is upbeat and outgoing. He would find it strange how you act, but would believe you’d be a good mother and once he thinks that… well game over lololol

He’d like someone more submissive in nature. Not even sexually, just as an overall personality thing. You don’t need to let yourself be stomped over by everyone and everything, but he wouldn’t be attractive to someone super domineering as he’d find it off putting. There can only be one in this house and it’s him essentially. 

But the more chill and accepting a person is the more likely he’d get obsessed. If it’s someone that accepts what life throws at them, then they’re probably about to get Illumi thrown at them. After all, when he inevitably kidnaps his darling it’d be nice if they don’t throw a huge fit about it…

He’d also like someone that can take care of themselves. Not perfectly, but someone that doesn’t neglect their own care so much that they can’t care for others. 

For physical appearance, I could imagine him being most interested in someone’s eyes. He isn’t one to really think about someone sexually based on their appearance, but if his darling had beautiful eyes, he’d definitely notice it. If he ever decided to compliment you about it it’d come off as creepy lowkey.

Hisoka:

Hisoka is super tricky because he’s such a hoe. His attraction to people somewhat situational/somewhat based off their strength. Hisoka’s range of interest is wide af in comparison to Illumi and Chrollo. He’ll take almost anything depending on his mood.

That being said, he still has preferences even if it isn’t a make or break type of thing. If the person isn’t strong, then they have to be interesting in some other way. Hisoka would find a confident, loudmouth person interesting since if you ever told him off he’d just be thinking about how he could kill you if he wanted to lmao.

On the flip side, he’d also adore a shy person that he could fluster. Kind of how you find a puppy cute. He’d just find a lot of enjoyment in teasing and constantly prodding, seeing how irritating he can be before a nice, polite soul would get fed up with his shit.

Hisoka would notice physical appearance. He would be interested in unique fashion senses, a person’s ability to do makeup, etc… Anything bold, he’d be drawn to more so than if it was common.

If his darling is more shy, his yandere tendencies would kick in even faster. He’d realize how fragile you are, and not want anyone else to try and mess with you. Only he can do that, in his mind. The thought of another person teasing you makes him pretty unhappy.
