Soo trio x ORV prompt

LCF x ORV is a classic for sure, but it’s always Cale being Young Master Silver Shield with the children, and for that saving a fuck-ton of people.

People, let’s be objective: ORV is not a world for the children.

Instead someone gimme a crack fic with LSH, CJS and KRS being three BFF 40ys old moms having a girls night ‘just like the good old times’ to release stress. Yes, by that I mean absolutely wrecking the scenarios.

gimme a beaming choi jungsoo unleashing all the stoopid humor he kept in for credibility in presence of his uncle (and because of dramatic situation)

gimme Cale/Kim Roksoo tired, tired of the bullshit (secretly enjoying himself a little, but won’t admit it)

gimme a Lee Soohyuk delighted to be able to be the team leader and the hyung again for a while

gimme LSH and CJS doing a sachimi contest with the giant sea snakes, with krs as a referee

Constellations:

GoD is there of course, he’s the one who sent them here, he’s trying very hard to support them with indications and coins but whenever his message windows peeps up the 3 Soos start a bullying competition that leaves everyone around speechless and GoD rolling crying on the floor of his office.

Of course the Soos are too pretty to get a supporting constellation. They roast GoD for even suggesting. Buuuut KRS —the loser— ends up getting one, [The Great And Mighty Seven Years Old], because he can’t disappoint the children. That doesn’t keep the other two from laughing at him for it though.

There’s one thing to sullen the mood of LSH however, and that’s the constellation nickname of the crown prince Alberu, [The One Favorite Hyung]. And the bastard keeps rubbing his ugly modifier in their face by giving krs special quest to say 'please, hyung' to receive a stupid amount of coins. That stresses LSH out because he can’t determine wether krs is accepting them to annoy him (aka, he’s being cheeky) or because the gold is genuinely making him happy (aka: lsh is losing the hyung competition)

For me, the most complex character in TCF is Lee Soo Hyuk, bro. We barely know anything about him. From the little we do know, he remains a mystery. All we know about him is:

Cunning man

Vicious man [like everyone in this novel]

Kim Rok Soo's scamming teacher

A person who can discuss death without displaying emotions, even if it saddens him.

A dependable hyung and leader.

A person who would choose to die instead of seeing one of his team die.

He always appears to be tired.

Loves Rok Soo, Jung Soo, and his team

He is incredibly handsome.

He laughs about everything he thinks is funny.(?)

He always keeps his promises.

He aspired to become an action star, but after the apocalypse, he desired to become a farmer.

He was a famous figure in post-apocalyptic Korea.

He possesses a strong sense of justice.

A man who cares greatly for his subordinates and those close to him.

has such low self-esteem

He is very nostalgic about the peaceful days.

He imprinted on Rok Soo.

The most unbelievable thing for me is that he used to be a jobless slacker before the apocalypse.

I can't attribute all of these characteristics to just one person. I want to learn more about this man because, even with the little information we have, I've kind of grown attached to this character. Maybe Cale's feelings influenced me, LOL.

On the topic of birthdays...

We don't know the Original Cale Henituse's birthday, but just imagine the Henituse Family celebrating Cale's birthday. And Cale has to awkwardly play along even though he knows it isn't HIS birthday they're celebrating. While the Henituse Family is also awkward because it's been years since they got to celebrate Cale's birthday properly, but they wanted to take the chance this time now that they've gotten closer (except it's too late now). But they notice Cale's discomfort throughout the entire celebration even though he tries to hide it. Things snowball from there.

Or maybe when the day comes, Cale isn't aware that it's his body's birthday. So while everyone else is dropping hints about it being a special day, Cale is just confused about why they're acting so weird. It eventually leads the Henituse Family to misunderstand thinking Cale got so busy during or after the war that he forgot his own birthday.

(After Cale realizes, he'd also send Kim Rok Soo a gift via the God of Death. Fortunately, no churches were harmed after that conversation, but only a god's pride.)

This also works vice versa with the Original Cale Henituse in Kim Rok Soo's body. Maybe the Original Kim Rok Soo wasn't known to celebrate his birthday (with other people, or at all). So Kim Rok Soo doesn't even realize anything weird that day, except the increasing glances sent his way by his team members and other people from the company ("The team leader still went to work today even though it's his birthday…sighs"). Kim Rok Soo only finds out by the end of his shift, when he's about to go home to his niece but is stopped by someone unexpectedly giving him a small gift.

(The next time he meets with Choi Jung Soo, he asks the guy to send his birthday greetings to the man he swapped bodies with, along with a birthday card drawn by his niece. ("I don't know about over there, but I found out it was your birthday here on Earth. Happy Birthday, Cale.")) (Extra: Choi Jung Soo becomes nostalgic after remembering all his shared birthdays with Kim Rok Soo, before remembering all the birthdays Kim Rok Soo spent by himself after their deaths.)

Or, the other characters find out it was Choi Han's birthday (not knowing it's also Cale's birthday). Everyone helps to plan a birthday party, with Cale even giving Choi Han a gift during the celebration ("I wasn't able to give you a gift last time, so…Happy Birthday, Choi Han.").

Once the celebration was over, or maybe when everyone else was too busy to hear or disturb the two of them, Choi Han was the first to greet Cale a happy birthday ("…Happy birthday to you too, Cale-nim. Kim Rok Soo."). Of course, Alberu does not forget to secretly give both his instructor and his dongsaeng gifts as well, aka, "a happy birthday to the two punks who gave me headaches".

((There's also an easy solution to this entire thing: Original Cale Henituse's birthday was ALSO on November 8. Now we have 5 people sharing the same birthday.))

So, I was thinking about Cale in song fics and how he learned how to play instruments to distract himself from his records. And that made me come up with a little head cannon. So let's go back to when Cale was Kim Rok Soo, overworked from refusing to take breaks, using work to avoid his records. I'd imagine Choi Jung Soo and Lee Soo Hyuk would force him to take breaks but would see that it wouldn't help him.

So they temporarily give up but then one day, Choi Jung Soo had a rip in his shirt or pants and off handedly mentioned, "Man, I wish we had someone here who knows how to sew." And Rok Soo, being the sweetheart he is, took a break to patch it up for him.

And then it clicked for Choi Jung Soo and Lee Soo Hyuk. They needed to give Rok Soo hobbies! That's how they can make him take breaks without him drowning in his records!

So, Lee Soo Hyuk started to give him books to read, Choi Jung Soo would give him sewing supplies. They would even try and make makeshift instruments for Rok Soo to learn.

And Rok Soo was, of course, weirded out by all of this but still tried them out. He learned embroidery, and he even learned how to make gloves. He started to read fantasy novels on the breaks he was forced on.

Most importantly, he learned how to distract himself from his records in a healthy way... however, this was basically all lost once Lee Soo Hyuk and Choi Jung Soo weren't there to force him to take breaks, making Rok Soo go back to burying himself in work.

I often ponder who originally uttered the phrase "you have to pay for your meals." Was it Rok Soo or Soo Hyuk? When Choi Han inherited Jung Soo's memories, he claimed that Kim Rok Soo and Cale Henituse were one and the same due to this statement. However, when Cale encountered Soo Hyuk, he retorted, "Have you forgotten who taught you that, punk?" I find myself quite perplexed by the situation.
