Stancy Week Day 1: Favorite episode
4.07: The Massacre at Hawkins Lab
Why?
1. Nancy diving in to save Steve
2. It gave us THIS moment which Nancy witnessed and honestly how can she ever recover from this:
Tumblr media
3. Gently touching shirtless Steve and making sure he’s okay
4. The TENDING WOUND scene which tops all wound tending scenes. The tenderness, the gazing, the sexual tension. ALL in the upside down having no way out to the real world. WILD WRITING CHOICE that I approve. The writers really said this is the time for peak romance tropes
5. “You almost shot me with that one.” “You almost deserved it.” BLATANT FLIRTING in front of on lookers with no shame, so much so that Eddie had to throw a shirt at Steve to contain them
6. Robin ships it. EDDIE MUNSON ships it. Friends with top tier shipping taste who will fight alongside them in the upside down. Pure epic ness.
7. All the callbacks to season 1 Stancy. With the diary entry to the chemistry test notecards and the sex scene. The fact that the upside down was stuck in the past could have been conveyed in so many ways but the writers chose to include the Stancy scenes in this means a lot!
8. The BIKE scene with the older teens and younger teens. Gives me goosebumps every time. What an epic shot that was.
9. Steve and Nancy purposefully lurking back while Robin and Eddie go back to the real world first. Almost like they didn’t want to leave each other in case something happened. A comfort thing, I feel.
10. Clinging to one another during the earthquake ! How can I ever forget !!!!
All of this. It’s INSANE that the writers wrote romance scenes for the upside down. Can you imagine that Stancy got them? It’s INSANE. And I loved it. Romance in every dimension baby

Stancy week Day 3: Favourite scene
It had to be this one 😭❤️
I don't think I could actually explain how much this scene effected me but I'll try.
It was so beautiful, so touching and I sobbed the whole way through. I knew the second robin ran off that Steve and Nancy were about to have an important conversation. I love how it begins with a light and more playful dialogue. Nancy smiling at Steve is the sweetest. I love their energy together. Nancy teasing him " that explains so much" loved that!
Then Steve decides to speak truthfully. I didn't expect Steve to say everything he did. The fact that he lays it all on the line. He's so vulnerable. He doesn't hold back. He's so honest about how much he needed Nancy to break his heart which is an incredibly selfless admission.
The way that he takes the moment to explain to her ( through the cutest metaphor) that he is continuously changing. The man isn't even done yet. He'll keep growing and becoming more of the person I think Nancy always believed him capable of being. He wants her to see him as he is now and be together as they both grow alongside eachother.
What really gets me is him turning to Nancy and saying "if we were meeting for the first time right now, part of me thinks we would have made it". I lost it at that point. Because he is so right. And I think that's what the Duffers now see with Stancy. Steve is so brave to say those words. Though he doesn't say that he loves her, he basically does with those words. He wants to try again. He knows he's a better person now and that their relationship would be so different. He sees their endgame and I just adore it.
I love that we get to see Nancy's reaction to everything he says in this scene. Her eyes are so expressive. You can feel all the regret, sadness and longing in her eyes. The way she sighs after he says " for giving my head the biggest thump of its life... two years ago." it's the first time they've spoken about their break up. They acknowledge the pain of what happened. It's such a mature conversation. She listens to him to attentively. I love that fact that they are walking together. I've had such deep conversations on long walks with people in my life, so it just felt to true and real.
And the admission of "you're there, you've always been there" is simply one of the most romantic lines I've ever heard. I think it will become a foundation of who they are.
Its first love, becoming second chance love, becoming last love.
Call me cliché but I kinda like that it's left on a cliffhanger before Nancy could answer. I think it'll give her time to think and digest everything Steve has told her and how she feels about it. Then we'll get an amazing crying-nancy-confession-scene in season 5 and the Stancy kiss that'll have been worth all the wait 💕
Anyway, I could go on and on, more than I already have. All I am sure of is that I'll be watching this scene 10000 more times before season 5 airs and love it each and every time.
❤️

This is a future fic after Steve and Nancy started their family. I don’t have an account on AO3 so here it is.
Stancy Week Day 1 : Hair
Works for Day 2 Dream as well
Dream Job
Tired from a day of work at Hawkins Post, Nancy walked into her home prepared to be tackled by her 3 year old daughter and her husband but the house was uncharacteristically quiet. She went into her office and dropped off her briefcase and plopped into her chair exhausted.
She spun her chair around and looked at the bookcase she kept behind the desk. Stacks of books and framed pictures neatly filled the space. She stopped at one picture in particular. It was of her husband Steve with her and their daughter Ruth at Ruth’s 3rd birthday. Steve and Ruth had cake all over their faces from Ruth sticking her little fingers in the cake and shoving it in her and her daddy’s face.
Nancy smiled at the memory and hurriedly finished replenishing her briefcase supplies for Monday and went to go find her crazy little family.
She left the office and called out for Steve but got no response.
She checked Ruth’s bedroom and there was no one there. She went down the stairs and heard low sounds coming from the TV in the living room.
When she opened the door there they were. Steve lying in the recliner with Ruth tucked under his right arm half laying on top of him. She had one of her little arms as far around Steves middle as she could get it and her other arm tucked under her chin with her thumb in her mouth. They were both fast asleep with the worn out Cinderella VHS playing on the TV.
Nancy had to hold in a laugh because Steve’s hair had a bunch of Ruth’s little clips and hair ties in it. She had taken a liking to doing everyone’s hair for them when they came over but Steve’s was by far her favorite to do. Nancy couldn’t blame the kid, it was some great hair.
Nancy tiptoed out of the room to get a camera. She snapped a picture and decided to wake them up since it was almost 6:30 and Ruth would never sleep tonight if she napped any longer.
Nancy just stared at them for a minute with a stupid smile on her face. Her little family brought her more happiness than she ever thought possible. When she was younger having kids never seemed important but Steve felt the opposite way and she’s so thankful for him and Ruth.
Steve loved being a Dad. Even the things everyone hated like waking up in the middle of the night, the tantrums, and cleaning up all the messes. He adored Ruth and Nancy couldn’t help but compare him to her own father. He couldn’t be more different and she knew Ruth would never feel neglected or wonder how her father truly feels about her like she did or like Steve did for that matter.
Nancy figured family wasn’t important to her when she was younger because of her father and his relationship or lack there of with her mother. She loved her mother but becoming her mother was Nancy’s greatest fear in life.
She no longer worries about that. She loves Steve and the life they built together. They were truly partners and could work together at more than just killing monsters.
When Nancy had Ruth Steve decided he wanted to stay home with her. He never found his dream job and was working as a janitor for Hawkins Middle right before Nancy had Ruth. He liked it just fine but it wasn’t that important to him and at that point Nancy made more than enough money to support their family.
Nancy worried that Steve would regret quitting his job. It wasn’t exactly common for men to stay at home with the kid while the mom went to work but Steve never expected or wanted her to quit her job. He knew her career was important to her and he doesn’t care what people might say about him behind his back. Still, Nancy used to worry about him sometimes.
Nancy stopped worrying when Steve told her she had her dream job so she should let him have his. It was the sweetest thing he’s ever said to her and she never doubted his decision again.
Steve began lightly snoring as Nancy knelt down to brush her daughters light brown hair out of her face. She will never get used to the fact that a mini her existed. Ruth was basically a clone of Nancy in every way except one. Ruth no doubt got her hair from her father. Let’s just say hair volume was never something Ruth would have to worry about.
“Hey sweetheart. Come on time to get up.” Nancy said softly running her hand through Ruth’s messy hair.
“Mommy, don’t wanna wake up yet.” Ruth said rubbing her eyes and turning her head into her fathers side away from Nancy.
“Five more minutes hun.” Steve said sleepily without opening his eyes.
Nancy huffed out a laugh. “What am I going to do with you two?”
“Join us.” Steve said grabbing Nancy’s hand and pulling her onto the recliner.
Nancy tucked herself into Steve’s left side and he nuzzled his face into her hair taking a deep breath.
“It is comfortable here.” She smiled with her head on Steve’s chest.
“Mmmmhmmm.” Steve mumbled in agreement.
“I love what you’ve done to your hair by the way.” Nancy said reaching up and flicking a hair clip.
“Hey, watch it, don’t mess up my hair.” Steve said more alert now.
“Mommy do you like Daddy’s hair? I did it myself.” Ruth said completely awake now that they were talking about her hair styling.
“Wow, you did it all by yourself? I love it! Daddy looks very pretty.” Nancy said excitedly to the three year old.
Steve squeezed her side at her teasing and Nancy giggled.
“Okay, okay come on Princess it’s time to get up.” Steve said sitting up and closing the recliner.
Ruth hopped off the seat and ran to her toy chest. Steve and Nancy remained on the chair with Nancy still seated on Steve’s lap with her head on his chest.
“How was work?” Steve asked mindlessly running his hand through her hair and massaging her neck.
“Good. I’m all yours for the weekend.” Nancy said kissing his neck.
“Only for the weekend?” Steve teased.
“And the next day, and the next day, and the….” Steve stopped her with a kiss.
“Love you.” He whispered to her
“Love you too.”
“Mommy can I do your hair now?” Ruth pouted at her.
“I don’t know baby, I think you used all your clips in Daddy’s hair.” Nancy said subtlety trying to get out of it.
“Daddy is okay with sharing. We could take some out of my hair and put it in Mommy’s.” Steve suggested to Ruth and gave Nancy a you’re not getting out of this look.
“Yay!” Ruth yelled and ran up to Steve and started taking some clips from his hair.
Once they had enough clips Nancy sat on the floor and Ruth stood up behind her to reach Nancy’s hair.
“I’m gonna leave you two to it and start dinner.. I can’t wait to see how pretty mommy looks later.” Steve said with a shit eating grin.
Nancy rolled her eyes at him but Nancy didn’t really mind.
“Mommy? Can we go in the pool tomorrow?” Ruth asked as she worked on Nancy’s hair.
“Sure baby as long as it doesn’t rain.”
“Daddy got me a new tube. It looks like a little fishy. I can’t wait to use it!” Ruth looked like she just remembered something and got very quiet.
“I’m not s’pose to say that to you. It was a secret between me and Daddy.” Ruth whispered to her.
Nancy had to hold back a laugh. Steve could never say no to Ruth and if they were in a store and Ruth saw something she liked 99 out of 100 times it was coming home with them.
“I won’t tell him you told me.” Nancy whispered back and kissed Ruth’s chubby cheek.
“All done Mommy!”
Nancy looked at herself in the mirror.
“Oh my goodness it looks even better than Daddy’s. What do you think?” She asked Ruth.
“Better than Daddy’s.” Ruth nodded in agreement then looked towards the doorway. “Don’t tell Daddy though he might get sad.” Ruth whispered to her.
Nancy laughed. “This is just between you and me I promise.”

Stancy Week: Favorite Season
Season 4:
Mainly because of how unexpected my feelings towards Stancy were by the end of it. I was a jancy shipper at the end of season 3 (forgive my naïveté). Granted I wasn’t as excited about them as I used to be before they actually got together, but they were a *given* at that point and I sort of just accepted it. I knew Steve and Nancy would team up this season but I wasn’t prepared for the roller coaster shipping ride the writers had planned for the audience. Probably the best chemistry decision they made because IT WORKED. It worked SO WELL and so FLAWLESSLY that it made me wonder what on earth I was even doing NOT shipping them since season 1? It was like I had been freakin BLIND this whole time?! Crazy
You gotta understand that happens RARELY with ships. Its so bizarre. You get introduced to a ship and you either ship it or you don’t. But taking a familiar ship and then REINTRODUCING it to the audience and making them see how great the potential is? That’s amazing outstanding mind blowing stuff and it’s never easy to have comfortable shippers like me switch gears in a heartbeat. Like dude, I used to make gifs of jancy. Not even kidding. I was IN. But Stancy? The intensity with which this took over my love of the show was mind boggling ! I was so not prepared to be this far gone ?
So yeah. Season 4 did THAT to me. Completely and utterly took over my sanity. I wasn’t even asking to be convinced but it convinced me. A complete 180. That’s power

Stancy week, Day 5: Song
Twist of Fate by Olivia Newton-John
"love is what we found, the second time around"
Featuring at the end of season 2 when a heartbroken Steve sees Nancy at the Snowball 😭
It perfectly encapsulates Stancy and their second chance at love in season 4. Maybe it was the Duffers hinting all along? 🤔
Thought I'd pick a upbeat song as most the ones i choose to edit are sad 😂
An epic 80s song for an epic 80s couple.
