Style Savvy Trendsetters USA vs EU
I recently booted up the USA version of 'Style Savvy TS', as I needed a separate save file (long story).
And I was surprised to see that not only is the shopkeeper different, A LOT of the text is changed!
It looks like the European version has it's own separate english localization!
Later games, such as 'Fashion Forward', just copy the EU text right down to using the term 'trousers'.
(ignore any graphical differences, emulator/record settings differ)
USA(left) || EU (Right)
||
------------------------------------||----------------------------------
Brand name, instructional text, category name.(UK version also support various currencies)
Michaela and Evie are fairly different people(wildly different dialogue)
Also Shop design?
The outside of the shop looks the same, But I feel like it ifts both:
More text/name changes, emphasizes character differences.
(Same idea, different tone)
Character creation is the same:
(note: the following line: "It's nice to stretch the memorization muscles once in a while" is said in both.)
Cell phone screen:
Ok, I know its a short comparison, but I'm going to have to cut it off here.
Neither version is 'clearly better' they both follow the same story,
I may be a bit bias as I always play the EU versions,
But I have a slight preference for Evie over Michaela.
Evie feels as if she's written as the 'big sister' trope, wiser than the MC, feels more knowledgeable, and often teases the other character (in a friendly way.)
I don't know what's more 'accurate' to the Japanese version, but I found Evie more fun :)

So, despite Nintendo of America being a big ol shit lipped bitch
We have confirmed release and language support for Fashion Dreamer!
November Second my fashion people!!
We will be rising!!!
One thing I want to say though is this is Syn Sophia’s breaking free game, so its still a dip in the water on what they want to do fashion game wise!
Please use constructive criticism so we can get more fashion games from them! They’re gonna help us bring back the genre if we help them do it right!!
