👁️: What exactly do they want with their future with each other? Is that something they think of often or do they just stay in the moment?

I think they both are in it for the long run, and each of them imagine what their future together would be like! Ruthie is definitely the type to daydream about her future with Cater, especially about getting married! She could be working on a wedding cake order at the bakery she works at part time, or see wedding pictures online, and immediately start picturing what it would be like if the cake was her wedding cake, or the people in the picture getting married were her and Cater. Like the idea of them breaking up never crosses her mind, whenever she thinks about the future Cater is always included. There's no one she wants to be with but him, there's no one she wants to spend the rest of her life with but him. She writes Ruthie Diamond with little hearts around it whenever she's in the middle of writing something and starts daydreaming. (Half the time she does it without thinking) Trey borrowed a recipe from her one time and immediately saw all her little doodles on the margins of the paper and had to show Cater. He practically had a heart attack when he saw it, heart pounding in his chest as he took dozens of pictures. (He adds it to the special album he has on his phone that's just pictures of Ruthie, ones he took in secret or ones he wanted to keep for himself and didn't wanna post. Whenever he's sad or feeling lonely, he'll look through the album to help him feel better, or help him fall asleep if it's late at night) I think in the beginning Cater was very "stay in the moment", but gradually started having thoughts about the future and over time got to a point where he couldn't picture a future without Ruthie in it. Like he could be scrolling on his phone when suddenly a picture of a bride pops up on his feed, and suddenly the thought of Ruthie wearing that dress and being the bride in the photo invades his mind. Or maybe he sees a video of a really nice reception area, and imagines him and Ruthie using it for their wedding, and bookmarks the video before he even realizes it. (He would start referring to Ruthie as his wife/future wife jokingly, but the first time he did it he 100% meant it and proceeded to flush in embarrassment when he realized what he said. Ace still brings it up sometimes)

🧸: Would they want to have kids together? If so what are their kid(s) like? How are they as parents?

They do have kids in the future! They have two boys! (One of them biological, one of them adopted!) I know I talked about this briefly on my old side blog, but one of their kids is named Tate (Tay, Tater tot)! He's a fox beastman, and is twisted from Tod from The Fox and the Hound! They adopted him when he was around one years old, the same age as their biological son! (I don't have a name for him yet, so if anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it!) The boys are best friends, always hanging out and playing together. They don't like the other being left out, so if one of them is invited somewhere (by friends, family, etc) they'll always ask if their brother can come too, refusing to go if they can't. (When they grow up, one of them goes to NRC while the other goes to RSA, in a nod to how Tod and Cooper separated as they got older in The Fox and the Hound) Cater and Ruthie are very sweet parents, wanting their children to be happy but also knowing when to put their foot down. So many family pictures and home videos! The boys love their father's unique magic, Cater using his clones when they're playing tag or hide and seek. Ruthie helps the boys get away from him during tag, or has them hide with her during hide and seek. Though they usually end up making a mess, the boys love to help their mom in the kitchen, whenever Ruthie is baking or cooking dinner. Cater helps too, and turns cooking into a family activity for them.

My oldest OC. I THINK is ... Tai Atherton. Tai was a self-insert taken from RPF and restructured for Dark Hunter [by Sherrlyn Kenyon] fic. Tai was short and trouble. I don't even remember. Wad she human? I think to start. She had a nickname having to do with them being short and mayhem. Was it imp? No. I don't remember. I just remember that Tai was StubbornTM [like a true self insert oc/probably Mary Sue shouldn't have been back in the day] and a busy body. Whew was she ever a busy body. I don't recall if that woman had a self conscious bone in her body. She probably did not.

I kilt her because I didn't know what to do with her/was bored with her arc. But then I changed my mind and did a thing. She came back. Her FC was from that soap opera passions. I was sixteen? Seventeen? Sjejdhshhe

My newest oc is from @/folksaga-if. I don't remember his name. Jsjshehe I was just like I need to make someone romance Katla as my OC before him - Brenn - was not it. He is very steady [seeming] and noble. He can get sorta anxious. I feel he is very aware of himself [mostly]; and more so thus around him and his duty. And has been in love with his best friend forever.

At first I almost said the two would not get along. But I feel though they might irritate each other/rub each other the wrong way, they would remind each other of their respective LI. [That, or, Tai would remind him of Katla while Tai would refuse to see how he is similar to both her ex and the boo she ended up with sjenhehebr]

I'm playing season 3 too and ummm it's okay? It's of course soo different from season 1&2, I like the characters but bruh I feel pretty connected with season2 (one day I was so damn emotional and when I saw Priya abandon the villa I'd cried for her lmfao) but the characters are okay, Aj is so aw same thing with the others girls, Genevieve is my crush rn, Camilo&co are cute guys, Ciaran is aw and....Tai um cute hugs ay but when he asked to fuck behind the waterfall?? 👁️👄👁️ Ummmmmmmmmmm

Look. I won't bash on people that like season three. Never. And the characters are... Likable.

But to me, the high points of the season were Tai in the waterfall, motorboating Elladine and everything Seb says, because he's the only character with a little depth.

It's just...

With season two I died laughing with the banter between the boys. My heart jumped from my chest when I saw Gary and Lucas for the first time, or when your partner brought Blake.

I was emotional about Gary's story with his Nan and his issues. Lucas'past, when in school.

I was ANGRY about Lottie, Hope and the drama, cried my eyes out with Priya's scene leaving... Chelsea and I became best friends because she valued us, as people. It took a few moments and we were best bras. I... I gasped when Ibrahim chose Jo over Shannon, and when Hannah said "not everything is about you" I was like

I don't think I've even chuckled on season three, and I'm a giggly bitch. I'll laugh about anything.

But ... I'm just sad, it's all.

I'm not even asking it to be the same. I'm asking it to be better.

That's manageable, given the bar is so low.

ok @19thcenturyopiumden asked kindly for me to expand on how i know fold your hands child is about none other than one william beckett, so here it is.

FIRST OF ALL we gotta cover some background. gabe saporta likely met william beckett in late 2003/early 2004 while still in his band midtown (and william was in remember maine!), they hit it off, and the rest is history. this is worth noting because in 2006, cobra starship released a song called "the kids are all fucked up" on their debut album.

the kids aren't fucked up has some hit lyrics like "im making new friends and we're making out", "they don't know about us", and "I know you don't want to sleep here alone". you may be wondering Why this song is relevant, and it's because gabe said in an interview with MTV that fold your hands child was a direct continuation of the kids are all fucked up

okay so we've established that the kids are all fucked up and fold your hands child are connected, and therefore about the same person, but how do we know its about william? i ask you, my dear reader, to turn ur attention to the last midtown show

the last midtown show is a song by tai that released in 2008. this song connects so closely to the kids are all fucked up that it makes my head spin, so let's unpack it. the title??? ok,,, anyway,,,,,

after the last midtown show takes place, presumably, after the last midtown show, prior to while the city sleeps, meaning there's time for the events here to have taken place before gabe would've written the kids... - "it's a drunken midnight on the streets" vs "the city's asleep" sets the scene p well

"now it's too late to go/it's getting light out, I know you don't want to sleep here alone" vs "when the morning light fights through the cracks/cascading across the bed, and you are mine" skfokadks help girl

"we were part of something ours and ours alone" vs "they don't know about us"...... ok........ 👁️👁️

with those few lyrical comparisons I feel like it's relatively Obvious that these songs are mutual. that being said, let's come full circle and talk about fold your hands child. it's p stylistically similar to the kids are all fucked up, and gabe said they were sequential, so,, yeehaw bitch

fold your hands child includes the lyrics "they can never find our secret hiding spot" which is a continuation of the Secretive Motif in the two songs I mentioned prior to this,, umm "we're just a little bit older baby now",, "i know it's clear that times are changing but im staying the same",, truly the connections here r nuts

another thing, if I may, is the fact that none of these songs mention she/her/hers pronouns as well :)))
