This is the third time Lando has purposefully knocked Max’s trophy over. Obviously it is a running joke between them and Max clearly doesn’t care when Lando does this. It wasn’t accidental at all, he knew the trophy was going to fall but I think he didn’t take into account the fact that the trophy was fragile porcelain and not metal like the usual ones. He definitely didn’t intend to smash the trophy but he 1000% knew it would fall and it was just a slight level of ignorance from Lando as he didn’t consider the fact that it could easily break. People have had problems with this because he was so unapologetic on Sunday despite the fact that this trophy took 6 months of people hand painting every detail to make (also this was a trophy rich with Hungarian heritage and tradition). He has since recognised the effort that goes into this trophy and has apologised. So it’s not as unimportant as you make it out to be but he has apologised.

yes i would understand if people were just upset about the trophy (because it is a broken piece of art) and lando’s behavior in interviews where he was asked about (though i feel as if it was with humorous intent i can still understand that it could be taken differently)

though he may have known that it would fall he did not purposefully break it and i do agree that he had a dumb miscalculation and forgot that the trophy was porcelain (but who doesnt)

he apologized to the people who deserved an apology and thats that

regardless it does not excuse the vitriol that so called “fans of f1” have been spewing toward lando simply because he has been doing well recently and because he freaking jokes around

also adrenaline in a competition is a real thing and youd know it if you ever got off your ass

and as an athlete i can absolutely understand and empathize with saying things in the heat of the moment

do you want him to be a freaking monotone statue (id guarantee you that theyd find a way to hate on him for that)

people suggesting that lando PURPOSEFULLY broke maxs trophy (which he didnt it was an accident) as if he took his champagne bottle to take a whack at it

for example the messages about how hes had everything easy simply because he comes from money (i think this is incredibly unfair—coming from money doesnt make you a good driver, it makes it easier to reach that high level, but him winning right now has nothing to do with how much money his family has)

i for one think that you are not a fan if you hate on other drivers simply because they are not the one driver/team you like

im far from one to excuse the actions of someone even if i am their fan but i struggle to see what he did that deserves such disgusting behavior

1-f1 isnt so popular in turkey, for example my classmates know a football player from germany's third league but they dont know anything about f1 drivers. f1 is gained their old popularity back after 2020 turkish gp. still not known as much as football. also turkish media doesnt care about f1 or football or basketball. they care drama, chaos and gossips.

2-when they started to date max wasnt a public face like today. he was known in just f1 community. after they started to date, people got curious because it was weird for us. a talented f1 driver's girlfriend was turkish. if he didnt date with dilara but still a turkish girl, people would talk about them too.

Yah it’s was the same for Daniel and Lando being on the news for dating Portuguese women, but if Luisa and Heidi were dating anyone else it wouldn’t be one the news because no one would care or even know who they are in the first place 😂

They go on a date and it’s going to be so cute!! Alex has a picnic planned for them, they want to sneak a kiss or two under the big palm trees in the Victorian glasshouse, and it’s so close to Lando’s house it’s perfect! The flowers are blooming, the hot humid air in the green houses does nothing to stop them from holding hands the entire time and poking their noses into random flowers until they sneeze or get pollen on their noses. They take pictures of the lizards in the desert greenhouse...

... and they leave to go to the lake for their little picnic <3 and then Lando remembers the tree top walk. He wants to go up there because he’s never been before, and the foliage is all green and pretty, please, it’s not going to take long! Alex has been up there before and knows it’s disappointing - but he’s not going to say no to Lando. George doesn’t mind either so up they go, Lando almost sprinting up the stairs without turning back and dragging his boyfriends with him.

But then as soon as they’re up on the platform and Lando steps up to the railing - Lando looks down and oh my god he hates heights so much. He grabs the railing because what else is there to do and starts to panic. George and Alex ofc try to calm him down! But Lando is now panicking that he’s a coward. “I need to walk around the entire thing once,” he’s babbling, still holding onto the metal banister like a life line, “I need to prove I’m not a coward!”

Alex and George almost lose their mind and remind him what he does for a living. It’s okay to be afraid sometimes. Lando please stop being an idiot and let us take you down. He’s refusing though, he’s fumbling out his phone and slowly walking further and further away from the stairs. He’s going to take a selfie.

It’s like watching a kitten that climbed up a tree and doesn’t know how to get back down.

George just so manages to catch Lando’s phone because of course he drops it - “Look, Lando, I got your phone, you’re going to be okay, I rescued it and now I’m going to rescue you too, alright baby?”

That was the wrong thing to say. Lando just panics even more - if his phone fell then he’s next he’s going to fall too - he’s going to die in Kew Gardens after falling twenty metres to the ground. Alex and George grab him by an arm each and forcibly pull him over to the stairs, half carrying him, and Lando still fights that he wants to go back! He’s not even looked at the trees yet! He can look at the trees, he doesn’t have to look down for that!

But obviously George and Alex don’t let him back up, they drag him down and away from the tree top walk and make him sit in the grass and drink some milk. That’s calms him down.

It takes another ten minutes until they can laugh about it, with Lando curled up in between George and Alex on the blanket they brought, the sweet scent of the blooming flowers nearby surrounding them, birds chirping in the background, everything is peaceful. 🥺

Dan getting his heat and obviously he wants Max to help him but there’s one problem.... Lando.

Yes yes I've been thinking about this and it would defininitely be a problem.

They just want Lando to be safe and not scared of them, and considering Dan's heat is nearing and Lando's little safe space is in the closet in their bedroom, with Dan's nest being on the bed there, its going to be a problem

Max and Dan sitting Lando down and explaining Max is going to have to help Dan with his Heat, but they don't want to scare him, so they give him the option of going to stay with for example Nico and Kevin or Charles and Pierre, or ask him to stay in the guest room (that was supposed to be Lando's room all along)

Lando choosing the guest room because he doesnt trust anyone besides Max and Dan but he can still smell and hear them and its all a bit scary because he is afraid they will get carried away and try to include him.

But they don't ofcourse, and when Lando can hear them quiet down he dares to quietly pad over and knock because the scents and sounds confused his instints and he just needs some cuddles. And Max and Daniel make sure to be covered with the blankets and cuddle their pup between them, even when Max is still knotted in Dan...

Maybe Lando quietly dares to ask questions about heat and mating because he doesnt know much and wants to be prepared, and Max and Dan are very careful to ask all questions like its completely normal because they know its very important!

The way Lando and his friends talk about women on stream is disgusting and inherently misogynistic. They talk about women as if they are possessions and objects for sexual gratification and it is not ok.

If you want an example of something he has said, just last night he and Max implied that if you listen to a woman talk, even though it's boring, then you'll get a reward (sex)...and I shouldn't have to tell you how wrong that is. That is the type of thinking that gets multiple women attacked by male friends who feel they "deserve" sexual gratification for listening to their problems and engaging with them.

And that's the type of shit they're saying confidently ON STREAM, I don't even want to imagine what they say privately. Also, that is unfortunately not even the worst thing he has said on stream about women.

And before you all start, it's not "boys being boys". I'm not overexaggerating or being sensitive. It doesn't matter if it was just meant to be a joke. They are grown men, they should know that's not ok to say.

Lando stans, it's time to step your pussies up. Lando isn't an innocent little baby, you need to start calling him out when he does questionable shit like this. I'm not asking you to cancel him. I'm not asking you to hate him. I'm not asking you to not be a fan of his. I'm asking you to demand he does better, to hold him accountable, to educate him.

hey, could you explain the Dan Ticktum autistic thing? I think it's very interesting but don't know enough about autism, I think? I've started reading up but would be interested to hear what made you think that

hi anon, you’re about to get an essay. i will explain my thoughts under the cut to not clog up the dashboard :)

there’s a multitude of things that stand out to me about dan, but i think the main ones are 1. his need for everything to be fair all the time 2. his stimming 3. his social unawareness and 4. his voice.

1 - needing everything to be just is a key autistic trait. if things aren’t fair we just can’t comprehend it. our brains just don’t do it, so we get super caught up in making things fair. with dan, it was a stream on 22/2/21 in which max f was having a shit game of cod, he kept dying and he asked dan to buy him back multiple times and when dan went to the buy station he bought back friz and lando instead. when dan did it, he said he picked the top two players which makes perfect sense if you want to win the game, it’s fair, so in dan’s mind how can max be upset. max was not a happy bunny, because in his mind he should be bought back so everyone can ‘have a turn’ even if its not the best option to win the game. that isn’t how dan thinks. second example, calling mick a cheater in f3. he did not make many friends doing this, but when he percieves injustice he can’t keep his mouth shut because it isn’t fair. it was never about mick personally, it was the results and tbf mick had a serious upturn in results and dan isn’t the only one who has called him suspicious for it.

2. stimming. for those that don’t know, stimming is self stimulatory behaviour. it’s essentially how to deal with big feelings and overwhelming sensory input when you’re autistic. i will keep this short. he rocks a lot, he wanders around his room, he makes noises with his mouth, he repeats the same phrase over and over again. his stream elements bot is just his vocal stims at this point.

3. i think this one is pretty self explanatory. he never has conformed to what people expect racing drivers to do or say, he’s brutally honest, he doesn’t ever stick to the usual media script. he’s been described as naive more times than i count. one of the official attributes on the nhs autism test is often makes embarrassing and naive remarks, do with that what you will.

4. okay this is hard to describe, but he has this tone of voice and lack of volume control that made me seriously go, huh?? autistic?? when you compare his brother ash and his voice’s dan sounds different in a very particular way that isn’t pitch. its a bit like an accent. and then volume control... i think we all know he has none of that. he’s got a stutter as well which is typical of autistics.

yes he’s got attitude issues and the shitty stuff he’s done can’t and shouldn’t be excused, but also he’s not just the angry kid? i think people should give him more breathing room. nobody ever learns or heals by being villified as a teenager. i also think he doesnt know he’s autistic which, yknow, hasnt helped him.

Right, Anon people absolutely hating on him and calling him stuff is cancelling and not the right way to go about it. Trying to educate him is the right way to go about it. Cancel culture especially on here can get so fucking toxic and can go too far (Take Will for example and also Max). I absolutely hate cancel culture. I will call people out though when they have done shit like I did with Lando, who is one of my favourite drivers, after what he said on his stream. However, I won't go as far as some people do on here.

There could be multiple of reasons why he doesn't want the vaccine and one of those could be medical so we can't just go all guns blazing on him. He has made a shit decision though and the consequences are all on him, however I won't be going all guns blazing on him. I'm sorry, but I'm not
