What is Luke and leia's relationship like? Is it like in canon when they are not aware of each other until they both join the rebellion? Cause it seems like being a secret from each other is a little less necessary compared to canon (with the lack of mind reading and all that jazz)? Also are they both aware of the whole Anakin/vader situation? (These are for the avatar au btw)

ok so, to explain Luke and Leia’s relationship with each other, we have to back up a little--to Padme’s death and the events surrounding it.

Detailed answer here, tl;dr at the bottom if you just want to skip ahead:

Before carrying out Order 66 and forming a Four-Nation-Wide Empire, Palpatine needed to get rid of Padme for two reasons-- 1) She was his main political opposition, very vocally anti-war (and a huge advocate for discovering the reason behind the spirit attacks instead of blindly fighting, which was bad for him bc he was the reason), and had a lot of influence (she was probably the most trusted Nations Representative and could have derailed his plans quite easily), and 2) Anakin would never join him (Palpatine) if he didn’t have a strong enough reason to think the worst of the Order and if he had Padme around.

So, Palpatine planted an agent in the Order to arrange her death and frame the Order for it (bc “look Anakin, the Order wants war, they’re using this war to gain more power, Padme is a threat to them,” etc, etc). However, Padme in any universe is very difficult to kill, even a heavily pregnant Padme as she is here. So she escapes the initial attack, but now she’s on the run from the Inquisitors, fighting for her life, and has been missing for weeks. 

Palpatine, of course, was not happy with this, but continued with his plan anyways, convinced Anakin she’s been killed, and carried out Order 66. Padme, still on the run, probably figured out somehow that Palpatine’s behind this, her children are being hunted, etc, etc. So she gets Luke to Owen and Beru and Leia to Bail and Breha, tells them what happened, that they’re her and Anakin’s children, etc, and runs so that if the Inquisitors do catch and kill her, they won’t have her children. The separation was more of a “if they get one, at least they won’t get the other” type of thing. 

So once they’re old enough, both Luke and Leia learn that they have a sibling, but that it has to be kept secret like their bending. They don’t find out who their sibling is until they’re much older, either when they meet in the rebellion or a little before.

I think their parentage is kept from them when they’re young because Padme knew they were being hunted and warned Bail, Breha, Beru, and Owen of the same. Being the children of Padme Amidala and Anakin Skywalker was dangerous. Owen and Beru tell Luke about his parentage when he’s old enough, and he probably hears lots of stories about his father as a kid and about Anakin’s various visits to the village, and some stories about his mother too, especially the Padme-killing-Watto bit. Note that Owen and Beru don’t know Anakin’s Vader--they don’t really know what happened to him. (Note: Luke goes by Luke Lars for his early life, but his parentage is an open secret throughout the village between those who knew Anakin and Shmi)

As for Leia, Bail and Breha are a lot more cautious. As literal king and queen of the earth kingdom, there are a lot more eyes on them, so Leia doesn’t learn about her parentage until much later than Luke. Luke learns about Anakin being Vader from Obi-wan, who settled in hiding near that village (who remembers how he helped save them and hid him from the Empire), and eventually joined Luke when the rebellion shenanigans began.

Leia learns about Anakin being Vader from Luke, either before Luke confronts him as being his son for the first time, or after Anakin was rescued from Palpatine by Luke. That part I haven’t entirely figured out yet.

tl;dr: Both Luke and Leia know that they have a sibling from a young age, and that it’s a secret just like their bending is supposed toe be. Luke learns about his parentage before Leia. Leia and Luke learn each other’s identity as siblings once they’ve begun their rebellion shenanigans, and Luke learns about Anakin being Vader from Obi-wan, who’s joined them. Leia doesn’t learn about Vader until much later than Luke, and Luke is probably the one that tells her. They’re the type of siblings that love each other wholeheartedly, but do bicker a bit from time to time.

Beru, I need to know, how does Caveira take a shower due to her, uh, condition? Like wouldn't a shower be her enemy? What about brushing teeth? How is she able to wear clothes? Are they fireproof? Is she able to do skin to skin contact with others? How long has she had her condition? Just a few random questions about her day to day life haha. I love her and your art skills btw. Aaaaaah interesting questions!But I’m not going into details about all this or else I’ll have to write an essay that I’ll have to rewrite again, and again, and again… :pSo! Before all the stuff that put down Overwatch, Cavy was almost normal, shower and brushing teeth daily, maybe with a bit too much of steam around but still. You need to know she turned from almost normal human to fireball in a long process that took years and it started around 20 years prior to OW’s fall.I like to assume that Blackwatch’s equipments and uniforms were basically fireproof, you don’t go and fight with cotton hoodies, right? I like to think Torb helped a lot developing those stuff, he’s the one on fire when ulting after all… He certainly added some extras to Caveira’s equipment.Post-OW, current days, she doesn’t need to shower, her body burns everything, from dirt to germs, the water would evaporate in any cases. The toothbrush and toothpaste won’t reach her mouth, it would melt before. Contact skin to skin is a no go, unless she wears her equipment. Sometimes she makes efforts and manage to get back to an almost normal human body state, doesn’t last long.Here you go, hope you liked the answers! Also a lot of thanks for your kind words! There’s one simple thing you need to do with your OC: just have fun and put everything you love in it! Caveira is just a mashup of all the stuff I like in a badass package.
