Emmerdale has revealed that a villainous character will lose their life next week, which will kick off a big whodunit story for the Dingle family.
The soap has confirmed that rapist Craig Reed, who recently assaulted Lydia Dingle, will be found dead in the episode airing on Monday, October 30, and that the Dingles will subsequently take centre stage at a lock-in at The Woolpack.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In a week filled with 'betrayal and secrets', suspicious Lydia will gather her family in the pub to question each of them about their whereabouts on the night of Craig's death.
Viewers will then see a series of flashbacks which weave a tangled web of events leading up to Craig's death. As the layers of deception are peeled away, the truth will eventually be revealed to the audience, with the only certainty being that nothing is quite as it seems...
In next Monday's episode, Billy Fletcher will be horrified to discover Craig's bloodied and lifeless body in the fields at Home Farm.
Later on, Lydia gathers her family at The Woolpack and announces to the shocked clan that Craig is dead. As the Dingles begin to question what happened to Craig, Lydia is certain that one of them is responsible for killing him.
Already in possession of the knowledge that her husband Sam and Cain had Craig tied up in a remote barn before his death, Lydia's investigation begins with them. In a series of flashbacks, viewers will discover what happened at the barn.
After listening to Sam and Cain, the focus shifts to Belle. Belle recounts her day with boyfriend Tom King, who, after a romantic meal, proposed to Belle. But Belle isn't giving a true account of her day – what exactly is she hiding?
Lydia then moves onto questioning recent returnee Aaron, who fights back when the Dingles push him for his alibi.
Aaron shifts the focus onto an uneasy Charity, who, along with Chas, flashes back to events from the previous day. However, conversation soon turns to another matter as Charity isn't being honest...
Soon, it's Caleb and Nate's turn to offer their account of the day – what exactly is Caleb hiding?
Next, Mandy and Marlon are thrust into the spotlight. Emotional Mandy is hiding a secret, but what is she keeping from her family?
As Marlon talks through his own day, we flashback again. However, Marlon chooses to miss out a big piece of information from his account...
With everyone's alibi seemingly established, Lydia remains troubled as she wonders whether someone is being deceitful.
Unable to cope with his wife's distress, a guilt-ridden Sam reveals that there is more to his version of events than previously disclosed, and we finally find out what really happened to Craig that night.
Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw has teased the "unmissable special week" for the popular family.
"Expertly and innovatively directed by Gary Williams, the infamous Woolpack becomes centre stage for the group of Dingles gathered to reveal their alibis… or no alibi as the case may be!" she said.
"Stepping out of the usual Emmerdale style, a series of flashbacks will let the viewers in on the lies each person has told and the secrets they are hiding.
"The week will truly keep everyone on the edge of their seats with each day more and more explosive secrets revealed that promise to have huge repercussions, shatter lives and cause fireworks in the Dingles bigger than ever seen before."

If Robert was coming back and it was kept as a big secret, then it would obviously not be featured in the blind items, as they are early teasers of actual spoilers. That won't stop me from speculating about them, obvs. What else am I going to do with my time?
Here are this week's
Tumblr media
Not even going to try and make this about Emmerdale, I hope we are done with killers for a while.
Tumblr media
Tom and Belle? Something is bound to happen, around the same time as the wedding probably.
Tumblr media
Would still love it if some Dingles had kept secrets about Robert from Aaron, but it's just wishful thinking...
Tumblr media
With Cathy grieving and also suffering from pmdd, she could take a turn for the worse mentally.
Tumblr media
Here we go again people. Another familiar face teaser. If I had seen this before yesterday, I would have said the fan theory about Robert/Cain could have been this one. But now? Would why would Robert get out of prison and risk being sent back? Or could it be like when Aaron got out, had a panic attack and hit Robert? It certainly doesn't sound like Kathy or Vanessa, that's for sure. But then these won't be for january anyway, so one of the other soaps?

Note
I find it odd if no one comes back tomorrow as Laura Shaw did a press day at the end of November saying someone was back in January. They would have been filming January then so how can she get mixed up. Unless it's another Emmerdale fairytale to keep people watching.
I saw some speculation that it might be Vanessa next week to tie in with Rhona running off with the baby...
but you'd think they'd save a big return for a thursday double

From The Times
article about the new song: "Thank you mother"
At 16 Amy Nuttall became the youngest understudy for the lead role of Christine in The Phantom of the Opera, then a year later she joined the ITV soap Emmerdale and stayed for five years. The Lancashire-born actress has since appeared in Hotel Babylon, Downton Abbey, Death in Paradise and, most recently, Mr Bates vs the Post Office. On stage she has been in My Fair Lady, Boeing-Boeing, Cabaret and Spamalot. Now 41, Nuttall is married to the actor Andrew Buchan. They live with their nine-year-old daughter and five-year-old son in Buckinghamshire.
How much is in your wallet?
No one carries cash now — everything is cashless. I did get caught short last year when my daughter lost a tooth unexpectedly. I had no money for the tooth fairy. Luckily my neighbour came to the rescue but now I always make sure I have pound coins in my wallet. Apart from that, all I have is my driver’s licence, Tesco Clubcard, Boots card, Caffè Nero stamp card and my debit card.
What credit cards do you use?
I don’t own any. When I joined Emmerdale I came home to visit my parents and for some reason I’d got myself a credit card and I was telling my dad about it and he made me get it out, got a pair of scissors and said, “Right, I want you to cut it up in front of me. Take my advice. Do not go down that road.” And it’s just stuck with me. I’ve never had one since. I think my dad knew that it would basically give me the opportunity to spend money I didn’t have, so I think it was very wise advice.
Are you a saver or a spender?
I’d love to say I’m a saver. I think I started out really well but I have become a bit of a spender. It’s mainly on my children. When I started out, aged 16, touring in The Phantom of the Opera, my first pay cheque was £500 a week, which was an absolute fortune for someone that age. I remember we were rehearsing in London before we went on tour, and I needed some new trainers, so I went to Schuh in Covent Garden. And I’ve never forgotten that feeling of buying my own trainers with my own money — and still having money in my account. After that I barely spent a penny, other than on accommodation and food. I don’t know where that girl went, as I really enjoy spending now. Back then I was very cautious. I just wish I’d had the foresight to put that money into property.
How much did you earn last year?
I’m an actress, self-employed, so it varies substantially from year to year. Sometimes I get surprise emails from my agent about royalties, saying, “Downton Abbey has been sold to this country,” or whatever, and they’re always nice little happy surprises. But generally speaking, in the last financial year — what can I tell you? — below a hundred grand, but I’m married so it all goes into one pot. So it’s not as scary because I can lean on that. People may have thought that being in Downtown Abbey meant I could put my rates up, but it’s really not the case. I always seem to land jobs where they tell you there isn’t any money in the pot. And then you find out who the lead is and you think, ah, all the money is going to that person. So it’s really not as lucrative as people perceive.
I sing too. I recently released a song called Thank You Mother, to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity. That won’t see any personal return, but that’s fine as I want all the money to go to the charity. Overall I’m used to not knowing how things will be financially. It’s that excitement of not knowing what’s around the corner — maybe that big job with lots of money is going to turn up. That hasn’t happened yet, but you never know.
Have you ever been really hard up?
I started off well with Phantom and then Emmerdale, but when I was 22 I left and moved to London. Soon after I bought my first property in Ladbroke Grove [west London] but stupidly bought one that I was unable to sublet. I’d really stretched myself to the limit to buy it and I was relying on being in work to pay my mortgage and bills. I was the lead in Cabaret in the West End at the time, but it was a massive drop in earnings after Emmerdale and I just couldn’t cover everything, so I had to put the flat on the market. I had to move out a week after I finished Cabaret and rent a room in a flat and put all my furniture into storage. It was devastating.
Do you own a property?
I’m the joint owner of our comfortable family home in Buckinghamshire. We owned a smaller house before.
Are you better off than your parents?
I’d say my dad is probably better off than me. He recently retired but he was a criminal barrister and a judge. I have no idea how much money he earned but he was always extremely cautious and never spent money on five-star hotels. My mum was a hairdresser when they met and then did interior design for a while. Things were comfortable and my dad paid for all three of us to have a private secondary education.
Do you invest in shares?
I don’t and it’s not something I’ve ever thought about. I don’t know enough about it.
What is better for retirement, property or pension?
A bit of both. It probably changes from year to year but I think it would be safer to have a bit of property, a bit of pension.
What has been your best investment?
My house, my health and my children — not in that order.
And the worst?
I’ve not really made any great investments but I can’t think of anything that has been significantly bad either.
The most extravagant thing you’ve bought?
I bought my mum a Louis Vuitton bag because she did everything for my wedding. I just turned up on the day, which was great. I wasn’t particularly interested in doing it — she did it all. So I bought her a beautiful cream Louis Vuitton handbag, which cost about £2,000, which is an insane amount of money.
What is your money weakness?
Food, probably. I’m quite lazy, especially with the grim weather we’ve had lately. I just want to get out of the house and go to a cosy café to eat stuff I could easily make at home. My other weakness is [the homeware store] Homesense — I’m an absolute sucker for kitchen paraphernalia. Whether it’s another teapot or candle I don’t need, I’m there.
What is your financial priority?
My children. We’re a way off secondary school yet, though, so we’ll see what happens.
What would you do if you won the lottery?
First, I wouldn’t broadcast it. I’d share it among family, and I’d love to have the luxury of giving away a chunk of money to the Brain Tumour Charity. If there was any left to spoil myself, I’d love to be mortgage-free. I’d love a big house in the country with an Aga and a dog, and a holiday home in Tuscany. That would be lovely.
Do you support any charities?
I’m a patron of the Brain Tumour Charity — my mother passed away from a glioblastoma brain tumour in October, and I’ll be donating all the proceeds from Thank You Mother to them. It’s a song we played a lot at home in my mother’s final weeks. It was a very emotional time and the words in the song are very poignant to my relationship with my mum. I knew straight away that I had to do something to raise awareness of this terrible disease.
What is the most important lesson you’ve learnt about money?
That you never have enough, that it goes pretty quickly and that it doesn’t bring you true happiness. And like my parents said to me, “If you look after the pennies, the pounds will follow.” All proceeds from Thank You Mother by Amy Nuttall go to the Brain Tumour Charity

Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Let’s spread the self-love❤
she has almost killed me with love for that boy My 4x04 coda, in which we look at all the ways Carlos has love in his life, the way that he loves and is loved.
The tender things are those we fold away The Only Fans fic, written in about a week. I've rarely been so inspired and driven to write and churning this out was definitely one of those moments when all the stars aligned.
In the burned house I am eating breakfast I loved getting to play about with reality and timelines on this, picking apart pieces of Carlos' mind and history.
Rumours My Emmerdale big bang - 100k of AU, world building, and full on fantasy storytelling of a whole lifetime together.
Exponential Another fic in which I got to play about with structure. Writing to an exponential increase in word count per section? The kind of challenge I loved.

Emmerdale Pitch Meeting
PRODUCER GUY: So you’ve got a new Emmerdale disaster week for me?
SCREENWRITER GUY: Yes sir, I do. We’re pulling out all the trees for the big 50th Anniversary!
PRODUCER GUY: You mean “stops”, pulling out all the “stops”.
SCREENWRITER GUY: Oh no, I meant trees. See a daytime windstorm is about to hit the village and we thought we’d just keep pulling down random trees for dramatic effect so people know it’s windy. It might be the same tree over and over but we’ll keep putting it in a new location so it feels fresh!
PRODUCER GUY: Wow wow wow wow wow..............wow

In emmerdale, Harriets funeral be on Thursday
(This ask is from a couple of days ago but I kept forgetting to answer because I'm still not feeling fantastic, let's just pretend I answered it sooner lol.)
Yeah, I've seen. I'm very, very pleasantly surprised they seem to actually be bothering to give her an onscreen funeral. (Although me being my bitter, cynical self some part of me is still expecting them to show everyone going to the church, cut to a bunch of other storylines, and then eventually show everyone coming out of the church and being like "oh the funeral was so sad, but at least it's exactly what Harriet would have wanted", lmao.)
I know I swore off the show after Storm Week and was like "alright, it's been fun getting back into Emmerdale for 5 seconds, but now they've killed the only character I care about (to the point I stopped watching in the first place because she only appeared like once or twice a month) I'm out", but obviously if she's actually getting an onscreen funeral I'll have to make an exception. Maybe I'll watch on catchup after it airs or something. (As a sidenote, the amount of Harriet fans I've seen saying they're going to stop watching now is... well, it basically confirms what I've always thought, which is that the Harriet fandom is basically its own thing rather than a subset of the Emmerdale fandom like one would expect. I hope that sentence made sense.)
It's obviously not going to be anywhere near as big a deal as I've heard they made for Faith and Liv's funeral, but I never expected it to be. It's Harriet, after all, and the show almost never treated her as a big deal when she was alive. So much of her time was just spent as a supporting role in other people's stories. :( She deserved better than this. I suppose we should be grateful she's getting anything at all, but she deserved better. She should still be alive, for one thing. I don't know who thought "oh yeah, let's treat one of our most fascinating characters, played by one of our best actresses, so poorly for ages and then axe her!" but I'd like to have a word with them so I can ask wtf was going through their mind, lol.

Oh for fuck’s sake. Another triangle coming towards the end of this year (so, one between Mack/Charity/Vanessa and maybe Chloe and Suzy are mixed in it too)? Emmerdale really needs new writers as the old ones doesn’t know about anything else than cheating and murdering!
I was okay with the idea that Charity might forgive Mack but now, after reading next weeks spoilers, I don’t want to see Charity to forgive him. Mack doesn’t deserve her. He’s wearing his wedding ring and trying to win Charity back (and he promised to her there will be nothing between him and Chloe) but still he goes and kiss Chloe! And after that they decide to left things open-ended between them. Mack has weird way to prove to Charity that he still loves her and wants to win her back.
Also, what the heck is wrong with Chloe? Why she’s falling in love with Mack who was big a-hole towards her when she was pregnant and after she gave birth? Tho, I shouldn’t be surprised. She was trying to work alongside with Nate after their one-night stand. That girl has problems.
I would love if at the end it they would reveal that Mack isn’t Reuben’s dad. After all, if he would be his dad Reuben should be preemie and he doesn’t seem to be. Like what hospital would let preemie leave the hospital the next day after their birth? Or did the writers thought that viewers wouldn’t notice it? Anyway, it would serve Mack the right that he wouldn’t be the dad after all.
Have to say, that when Vanessa comes back, I don’t want her and Charity to get back together. Because A) Emmerdale ruined them to me and B) I want Suzy and Vanessa to try again.
Darn it. Always when I’m “I’ll give up with this show” they throw scenes that reminds me why I fell in love with Emmerdale. And then I stay and hope to see more scenes like that. I never learn.

Favourite Colour: Mint green
Currently Reading: Nothing, the last book I read was Where the Crawdads Sing so I could go watch the movie with my mum
Last Song: Spotify tells me it was Andante, Andante from Mamma Mia 2 because it randomly popped into my head and I needed to listen to it, but that was three weeks ago. I’m not a big music listener - if I’m at home I have the tv on (or I’ve got asmr vids on for background noise while working) and I’d rather listen to podcasts if I’m walking or travelling somewhere. So the latest ep of Drama Queens was the last thing I listened to.
Last Series: Paper Girls and I loved it, everyone should go watch immediately
Last Movie: Bullet Train.. it was an acceptable way to pass some time in an air conditioned room
Currently working on: Letting go of my Emmerdale rage. May take a while check back in a few decades x
Tagging makes me socially awkward so do it if you wanna :)

Emmerdale's Aaron Dingle in big fight with Billy Fletcher
Tumblr media
Emmerdale's Aaron Dingle and Billy Fletcher become embroiled in a major row next week, as Aaron continues to cause trouble in the village following his return.
The drama begins when Aaron starts to goad Billy after the kids argue about a playground fall.
Following this, a careless word from Paddy Dingle in the vets leads Billy's wife Dawn to find out the truth about the previous day's playground confrontation. After she gets home, Dawn demands to know the truth from Billy.
Unfortunately, this isn't the end of the issue, as the fallout between Billy and Aaron continues, while Dawn is preoccupied by the baby shower that Gabby Thomas has arranged for her.
Tumblr media
When an angry Aaron goads Billy again, a fight ensues, and Will Taylor is forced to break the pair apart.
Dawn is severely unimpressed when a battered Billy arrives home, annoyed that he has allowed Aaron to provoke him into a fight.
Later on, Dawn attends an antenatal class, but the discussion about pain relief drugs leaves her concerned, due to her past battles with drug addiction.
Meanwhile, Kim Tate soon gets involved in the bad blood between Billy and Aaron. Will she manage to bring the feud to an end, or is the trouble just beginning?
Long-time Emmerdale viewers will remember that Aaron and Billy have a fraught past, due to Billy having made Aaron's life a misery while they were in prison together several years ago.
Billy isn't the only villager getting on the wrong side of Aaron, though, as actor Will Ash, who plays Caleb Miligan, has hinted that his character could be a new enemy for Aaron.
"Caleb and Aaron really brush up against each other in a bad way," he told Digital Spy and other media, adding that Caleb's feelings of protectiveness over his sister - and Aaron's mum - Chas Dingle make him take "a dislike to Aaron".

There is no Aaron in the cast list tonight according to this:
Maybe the whole reason Aaron turned down Chas' offer to go on holiday with her was just so they can eventually do their big conversations on screen. I wonder if we'll see Aaron in the next two weeks?

I just had a horrible thought
What if the baby for someone that's not wanted (or something) is Vic?
I mean she sleeps with Jacob next week and nobody in emmerdale knows how to not get pregnant...
And the baby is not wanted (at first) because it's complicated with the David of it all.
And then after David leaves, she, Jacob, Harry, and baby number 2 are one big happy family - with Leyla still disapproving for the Drama.
