that’s right i’m doing a wip wednesday as well because i can. i will be accepting asks until 11:59p CST, and will answer them when i can. (so tonight and tomorrow night for the ones i don’t get to tonight)

i’m sure you all know the rules but just in case: send me an emoji and i’ll write a bit in that fic, and post what i write! i’ll also be posting a snippet of one of the fics!

“Steve?” the omega heard Robin shout as she entered the shared apartment. He stood and groaned as pain shot up his body through his knees. He slipped his phone into his back pocket before he made his way to the living room.

“How was work?” he asked, leaning against the wall as Robin shed her outter layer.

“Ugh, I swear, if Rebecca comes in one more fucking time, I’m gonna climb over the counter and stab her with a spoon,” she seethed, toeing off her converse.

Steve snorted, rolling his eyes, “What’d she ask for this time?” he asked, knowing that it was about to be the stupidest shit.

“She asked me if we served fucking Frosty’s,” she practically growled, which only increased Steve’s amusement.

“You’re not We—”

“I know we’re not a fucking Wendy’s,” Robin huffed, stomping towards the kitchen, Steve following behind to listen to the rest of whatever happened. “She knows we’re not a fucking Wendy’s, but her reasoning was that we serve milkshakes, so how different from that could a Frosty be?”

Steve watched fondly as Robin ranted, knowing she needed to before she could let it go and move on with her day. He was content to wait her out, even as she moved on to rant about a different customer that had annoyed her. Usually the scent of pissed off alpha never failed to cause Steve to feel slightly sick, but something about Robin always put him at ease.

Calling All Hobbit Creators!

Have you heard of a little event called Fandom Trumps Hate??

I promise there's nothing nasty, disturbing, or uncomfortable about this event! Creators sign-up with their wants/do not wants/ships/etc. and enter into the auction. The auction runs for a little under a week and the highest bidder will contact you with a prompt for you to create! All money goes to nonprofits.

What does it mean to be a creator?

You are offering some type of fanwork/labor such as:

Written Fanworks

Digital Art (including gifsets, moodboards, etc.)

Podfics

Fanvids

Fan Labor (including betaing, translating, offering specialist expertise, etc.)

How long do I have to create the work?

That's the best part! You have all year. Works can be turned in any time between receiving the prompt and December 31st.

How do I sign-up?

You got any etiquette or tips or smth for posting one shots or drabbles? Like, when to place cuts, how to tag, CW stuff, should you divulge background info before hand, etc etc...

Hey friend! I don't know a lot about the etiquette but I'll try my best!

For starters, here's what my setup before my story looks like (had to put a readmore because it was getting long LOL)

See "CONTENT"? The most important thing is to list the trigger warnings somewhere at the beginning, like kidnapping, sickfic, blood, etc. You can use tags too, but also adding the trigger warnings at the beginning before the story is also a good way, so that if your readers see something at the beginning before they read that there's something that squicks them, they could pass it up.

Speaking of tags...

I reread through my stories before posting so I could tag them properly. Was a character bleeding with some descriptions of blood? Add a "blood tw", "blood", etc tag. Was the whumpee dealing with body horror with description of said body horror? "Body horror tw", "body horror", etc. There are times where you forget to add a tag and that's okay! Most of the time, people would gently let you know that you missed a tag. Also, don't censor your tags like this (b100d), since from what I heard, it doesn't protect those who filter the word and they would end up seeing it and get triggered unintentionally. That's usually looked down on due to that reason on Tumblr, and in most places.

And finally, a read more.

If it's getting too long to the point you have to scroll down a bit to get to the end, definitely put a readmore there. Usually, I add it after three paragraphs as seen here. For NSFW stories, I put a readmore right before the story for safety reasons.

And background and all... it depends if you're writing with your OCs/blorbos or just a generic whumpee/whumper/caretaker! For OCs/blorbos, yeah, some background would be cool (if they're fandom characters, it's not necessary since many people would know what the characters are!) Otherwise, it's not necessary to divulge in background stuff for generic, unless it's specific, like if the whump is focused on superpowers and superheroes, some background could help too! 😀

Looking for Sims!

Hi Friends! 

So, since I’ve been too exhausted to actually work on posts (though the story shall continue within the next week!) while on my work contract, I decided to spend a lot of time world building by way of making a massive family tree for Thalia and Thornolia. The amount of time and effort I’ve put into it already is quite extensive, and there are still many days ahead of deep research and work, though already it has brought with it lots of family stories that are quite...chaotic. 

But I’ve also been going into game to make these sims from all generations. At least...from the main line where genetics is required. And then I thought, why not ask people if they want to make some sims to include into the family as husbands and wives to those in within the family line? I would love to include your sim creations into my game and my family tree! <3 

My only request is to make vanilla sims without skin details, etc. My poor computer wouldn’t be able to handle it. It already wheezes quite badly with the amount of cc I do have, and don’t want to risk causing more harm to it!

The family tree goes all the way back to 1413, so if you’d prefer your sim to appear within a certain century, just say! You can also feel free to give your sim a bit of back story, but do keep in mind most of these sims will be husbands/wives to noble/royal members of society (though of course, I’m not opposed to mistresses/rakes/other chaotic individuals to find their ways in either! The more chaos the better is my motto).

I can’t wait to see what you come up with, and to showcase these sims in future via potential flashback posts, family portraits, and more! Just make sure to tag me so that I can find your wonderful creations!

How do you think the cats of the cat kingdom think of the cat king? Do they like him, or are they waiting eagerly for him to give the throne to the prince? Does the King want to be liked by his subjects? Does he care about them? (Sorry bombard of questions, but wanted to give ya something!)

i've always liked the idea that the king is relatively well-liked, and thought of as a generally fun-loving, easily amused cat, but it definitely depends on how much time someone actually spends with him and whether they are in his good graces or not. those who are exposed to his ~Temperament~ more often than others, like the entertainers and some servants, are probably more likely to see him as a tiring presence, one for which they walk on eggshells oop

he's mostly good to those he likes, tho, and they may have a rosier view of him

i wouldn't necessarily say he wants to be liked by his subjects or others in general so much as he rather desperately doesn't want to be disliked laughs the idea of being an annoyance or worse to other people makes him very uncomfortable. the problem arises then in the fact that he doesn't go to great lengths (or. really any lengths) to be likable and just expects people to tolerate him as he is

i'd say it's a conflict between his innate desire to be loved/liked and his stubborn privilege lmao

as for whether or not he cares for them, i have a hard time really deciphering my thoughts on the matter ghfhio to a certain degree, he does, but he's inherently selfish, and his own needs, desires, and general happiness will always come first before almost anyone else's
