god i wanna know the story of Caleb and his witch wife so bad. HE WAS RAISED IN 1600'S PURITAN CONNECTICUT AND FELL IN LOVE WITH A WITCH LIKE PLEASE. I MUST KNOW THE DETAILS. just imagining him being similar to Amity saying "girlfriend" all the time after she and Luz started dating. just constantly going "look at how cool my WIFE is!! isn't my WIFE awesome!! i love my WIFE!!"

Caleb was HUGE wife guy I know this for certain. He was especially excited to be like "I'm HER husband!!"

I've been thinking a lot about Caleb's potential parallels with both Luz and Hunter. But I've been thinking especially hard how it relates to Hunter. And the Caleb and Wife parallels to Huntlow cuz its like. I'm IMAGINING how it could be and it's making me crazy

Like the gravesfield witch hunters and their beliefs being Caleb's entire world because he's been raised on it. He sincerely believes he's doing something good for the world. He thinks he's protecting people. But deep down he knows something isn't right but he can't articulate what because he doesn't know anything different. He's miserable and tired and unfulfilled but he's completely in denial about it and he's dedicated to his cause.

And then he meets a girl so far removed from the world he knows and she shakes everything up. She takes everything he thought he knew and she turns it upside down and it puts a significant dent in Caleb's perspective. He's doing things he never thought he'd do. He's going against what he originally believed in because what he believed in poses a threat to her life and he doesn't want to hurt her. She makes him want to be somebody else. And it wasn't until he met her that he could bring himself to admit that he always wanted to be somebody else.

Sorry I'm babbling about Caleb but like. IMAGINE if the Hunter and huntlow parallel. IMAGINE!!!
