I hope y'all are doing well #ive been reading a lot of fics with these two and i see how the authors have the characters refer to each other in their fics #and that got me wondering how much do they say each other's name in the show and how do they refer to each other #since this is the house video ill put his stats here #s1 was 19 times s2 was 31 s3 was 34 s4 was 30 s5 was 35 s6 was 58 s7 was 25 and s8 was 28 #in total he says his name 260 times. Mostly refers to him just by Wilson #He's only said Wilson's first name 7 times. Once by Jim 3 by Jimmy and 3 by James #He'll use his full name in professional settings or to be sarcastic or to pretend to be him #You know since House is the main character and in every episode of the show i thought he'd say his name more than him #but Wilson beats him by 42 times bc s7 and s8 he doesn't say his name as much. it took Wilson getting cancer for him to say it more #than he was before that point

What’s insane about young royals season 2 is that in therapy Wille talks about not wanting to disappoint “them” and having a responsibility to “them” and how “they” say he can’t be himself and when his therapist asks “who are they?” Wille says his mother. And his family. And then in the finale when he’s giving a speech in front of a crowd of distinguished guests, photographers, and classmates, at the end the only audience directly in front of him are his mother. And his family. And he faces them head on and he speaks his truth. I’m gonna be fucking sick

Wille looks up at Simon with puppy dog eyes, a black marker in his hand. “Please?” Simon eyes the millions of hearts Wille has already drawn on the paper for practice. “You know the artist needs to have it on transferable paper right? You don’t need to have the drawing on your skin beforehand. Actually, having sharpie on your hand right before going in isn’t going to be good for the tattoo.” “I just want to know what it looks like, you know… to make sure it’s in the right place.” “And you think drawing it on with permanent marker an hour before you get the tattoo is going to help decide that?”

Wille decides to finally get a tattoo, and enlists Simon’s help. Little does he know, Simon has a little surprise of his own.

Mostly refers to him just by House #the only time I've heard him say his first name its when he's being professional or when he's really angry (and that one time he proposed) #and even then it's always the full name not just the first name #the only instance I've seen him use just his first name was on that note he put on House's xmas gift that we see in season 5 #and as much as I wanted to put that moment in here he never actually says the contents of the note out loud so i had to leave it out #but what surprised me was he says House's name more than House says his name #especially when the earlier seasons didn't have him say his name as much

Young Royals analytical thoughts pt. 1

I had this thought about the kissing scene in S2E5…

What if Wille makes his mind up about the speech, at least in some way (even subconsciously) when he and Simon have that time alone *with* the curtains closed?

Throughout the show, there is this consistent image of Wille taking the time to breathe/inhale Simon in. We hear it in the sound mixing, and we see it in scenes where Wille is thinking or dreaming of Simon. But in this episode, Wille actually gets to do it — he finally gets to fulfill that wish of holding Simon in his arms once more, of taking in Simon’s smell and presence after what feels like forever. And Wille realizes, in that moment, that he won’t be able to live with just the thoughts or the dreams any longer. He deeply needs Simon in the flesh.

Wille will never be satisfied unless he has Simon there with him, by his side, in his arms — in actuality instead of just in his head. And so, yes, when Simon pulls Wille aside before the jubilee and tells him so sweetly that he loves him, this just solidifies the notion already sprouting in Wille’s mind to speak the truth and reveal it all. It reinforces the realization that Wille cannot “bow down” or settle for what other people think is best for him. So, Wille chooses the undeniably beautiful, bone-deep, and mystifying love he has found with Simon, because this is the real thing he can’t live without.

So, Wille’s speech is not only a way of making up for past mistakes with Simon, but it is also a way to atone with himself for finally doing what he knew he wanted to all along. He sets everything ablaze, and I think it is possible that this scene is where he first strikes the match.

And I can’t wait to watch the inferno spread when season three premiers tomorrow (raise your hand if you’re losing your mind🖐🏻)

I have to say - Wilhelm going from disowning August, saying he will never forgive him or let him take over, to him actually being okay with that and basically giving it over to August was not the character growth and development I wanted to see
