I think the thing a lot of modern scooby doo fans lose is the fact that in the original shows, Velma and Fred were the masterminds and Daphe and Shaggy were the muscle/comedic relief. Basically every episode would end with Velma and Fred looking at eachother and going "I know exactly who did this. Let's go" and not elaborate to their friends at all. And then, during the reveal, they would give a (usually) joint explanation, revealing the baddie to both their team and the cops at the exact same time.

Fred might be kinda dumb and Velma lacks social skills, but nobody beats them when it comes to mysteries.

looking @ old fic i started when i was 14/15 is so funny bc im realizing once again why i never mark fics as abandoned even if its been literal years since i've touched them. specifically i was checking docs for stuff i started and either did or didn't post to ffn.

and its like. nothing is bad??? like i can see where my outside-the-box ideal of fic writing comes from. not just fics but writing in general, i'm p sure. even if it's a total cliche plot setup, there are details on each that rly make it stand out like oh yeahhhhhh i did have this great idea once upon a time.

funny too bc was it executed well in prose??? no absolutely not i wrote like shit when i was 15. would i revive an idea one day and revise it to be less cliche or cringy while still keeping the stand-out elements??? yea maybe. i might. everything i'm currently working on that i started from 2021 up to now still holds my supreme interest, but like i'm not gonna say never.

esp since i write fic first and foremost for my own need and specifically what i like to read, it makes it impossible to consider an idea i've thought extensively about "not worth writing anymore". anyway not making this too long i jus found everything interesting to consider

Summary: After arriving in New York, the survivors of the traumatic and unexplained events on the Kerberos go their separate ways — each fleeing to different corners of the city, each carrying their own ghosts. But three months later, they are pulled back together by an event that threatens to upturn their new lives. Will their bonds be strengthened by this new ordeal? Or will the survivors of the Kerberos be splintered forever? 

“It’s taken me a long time to find you,” comes a loud, clear voice from behind him. The words are in Spanish. 

Ramiro stills at his work. He has been stripping the linens off a sickbed. He has never been able to quell his excitement at the sound of that voice, but this time, he receives it with only a feeling of weariness. 

He turns slowly. “Perhaps I didn't want to be found,” he tells Ángel. 

The other man gives a strained smile. He looks well. His skin has been bronzed by the sun, and it sets off the white shine of his teeth. 

“Still, I never expected to find you in a place like this.” Ángel gestures down the length of the hospital ward. A man turns in his bed near the end of the narrow room and gives a weak cough. Ángel’s face clouds with an expression of disgust. 

Ramiro sighs and walks quickly out of the ward, into the hospital courtyard, forcing Ángel to follow him at a trot.

“So you really are a man of God now?” Ángel asks 

Ramiro chooses a corner private enough to hold this conversation. He turns. His arms are crossed stiffly over his chest. “I am not a man of God,” he says. “I am simply doing what I must.” 

“Being a sick nurse?” 

“I am helping people, Ángel.”

Ángel leans back on his heels. His stretched, taunting expression eases in something more opaque. “Alright, Ramiro,” he says with an outbreath. “Whatever you say.” 

“Why are you even here?” asks Ramiro. 

“Is it so hard to believe that I missed you?” 

Ramiro looks away, sucking his bottom teeth. “I’m sure you’ve had plenty of company.” 

“I wanted you to come with me,” Ángel says, severely. “I begged you to come, but you didn’t want to. You wanted to do….this.” He spreads his arms wide, as if even the courtyard is worthy of derision. 

Ramiro closes his eyes. He brings his hands to his brows and presses deep into the space just above the sockets. “I wanted to atone for what I did,” he says. "For what we both did. We killed a man, Ángel. And then, and then we got on that fucking ship, and I don’t know how else I’m supposed to fucking live with that — with what happened — and not believe that this is the point. The point of it all. To do right by each other.” 

Ángel shakes his head, swallowing a scoff. “And here I thought the point of it all was to live.”

Personally I can see Anne and Sasha ending together. Seeing how they ignored Marcy at some points gives me this vibes 'we had a crush on each other, but we really don't want to makes things awkward between us'. Plus they give me Adora/Catra vibes.

But Anne and Marcy also makes sense with 'we were friends since forever, until we started to see each other as something more.'

And Marcy and Sasha are polar opposites, but it's actually quite hard to ship them when we know so little about their relationship. Plus that's ship without main character in it, so you know...

I just found out something i’m not sure other people realized.

while purelily is heavily implied, I find it to be a one way street more or less. She doesn’t show interest in him as much as he does her. It also reminds me of this love sick relationship where one would do anything for the other, and the other ones just blissfully ignorant or something.

to me it’s just…eh. and on top of that Lily is rather casual about their relationship from what i’m able to tell. So maybe she thinks it’s a friend thing and Pv wants it (in the story/canon lore) to be a relationship thing?? I should also point out that while Pure Vanilla tells/talks to other characters about how great lily was and how good of a friend she was, We weren’t sure how she felt until this point, so…eh.

so again, while it’s heavily implied i think purecacao simply makes more sense in some cases. We see more lore of them, we see more interactions…etc. with pure lily, Lily was gone up until this point, so we aren’t really sure what she was like with pure vanilla until the update. when she wasn’t there, the other ancients had the time of their life in the odyssey like she wasn’t ever there, That may just be me.

so in conclusion

Purelily= I still support it subtly because go for it you have opinions but might not be as plausible because we don’t see as many interactions, but then again that cannot be helped because she was gone for so long and from my understanding the update sucked.

Purecacao= gay old men for life and just makes more sense since we see what their relationship is like more and they talk more often

(!THIS IS MY OPINION; I don’t believe it is fully fact but i feel like im gonna get body slammed by somebody for this)

again, ship whoever the fuck you want because you’re allowed to do what you please without judgement.

also i only say this because of a video i saw and it all began to make sense in my head and thought i should ramble about it

purelily shippers can keep going with their ship, but at least acknowledge this when you do

i think ppl who arent aroace should stop talking about luffy ships and aroace luffy. ESPECIALLY if theyre very against luffy ships. (like it's fine to hc luffy as aroace and it's fine to not like luffy ships! but holy shit do NOT fill your bs in the ship tags unless you are prepared to be criticized or be sent hate (which is unfortunate bc it just makes us look worse when we're already in the dumps))

anyway fun fact of the day! i held a poll on twt (and i should here too) abt how many ZL shippers are at least on the aroace spec, and it turns out a VAST MAJORITY of us are!

and also if i may add, while it's fine to not like luffy ships bc of Your aroace hc... i find it a little odd that it's always people that arent aroace hating/disliking it. maybe it's bc there are people who know fandom etiquette and not put negativity in ship tags.

(and not to include shipping discourse... while it's not ALL zs shippers... it's somehow always zs shippers. theyre so worried about us 'icky' zl shippers when they go and ship ZS lmao...)

hi back again with more whump ideas for you guys!! this time i’m gonna focus on settings in whump because there are a ton of things i’d love to see more of!!!!

- morgues. i’ve brought this one up before and ill say it again. morgues. you can keep your whumpee on a slab!! in a dark and confined space!!! embalm ‘em! drain ‘em! they’ll be fine!!!

- on that same note, a funeral parlor! have them down on the table and pretty them up for a burial! doesn’t matter if they’re still breathing.

- operating theaters. you people do not understand how perfect operating theaters are. as someone who had a hyperfixation on victorian medical practices trust me when i say they are fucked up. for those unaware, operating theaters are kind of circular rooms that have rows of seats similar to an amphitheater that all point towards the operating table!! imagine a whumpee getting a fun little painful and unsedated surgery in front of a live audience! are the onlookers nobles who just wanted to watch a fun, gorey show? or are they fellow doctors/surgeons/scientists or training to become one?

- forests. cold, cold forests. frostbite and hypothermia are enough of a threat to keep whumpee from running off.

- restaurants! because of course the person who loves fictional cannibalism has to put it on here!!! serve them up!!!!!!!! maybe limb-by-limb as not to be so wasteful. keep them waiting in the freezer while you pick em apart!

- space. it’s called the final frontier for a reason. and unlike the other places, you can’t really escape space. once you’re there, you’re kind of art the mercy of whoever else is there. aliens im talking about aliens. i need more aliens.

- pirate ships. that’s all. that’s the prompt. once again, you can’t really escape the ocean. you’ve just gotta wait until another ship finds you and hope they’re on your side.

- labrynths. regardless of how many turns whumpee makes, they always find themselves right back at the start. maybe it’s been rigged from the beginning. maybe something else is in there with them. hunting them down.
