IM LOSING IT OVER YOUR RECENT IKE FIC. LIKE OH MY GOD. its so sweet and heartwrenching i felt just as nervous and anxious as reader the entire time, and when ike reciprocated my heart MELTED AHHH his freckles!!! how kind and beautiful he is, and his confusion turning into acceptance and his SQUEALSSS AAAA. i cant take it this is my fav ike and probably luxiem fic of all time. all of your hard work paid off so well, it was so well structured and emotional and everyone felt so real!! like they arent characters, theyre actual people!!

ahh, now i wish i knew ike's perspective during those stream moments and his reaction to pen and paper ship content HAHA. i imagine he swiftly bookmarks it on his private account but he keeps blushing and his hands shake whenever he sees any fanart WAAAH. maybe one time he sees pen and paper kissing and he cant properly look at the notifications from reader's chat without FLUSHING RED i love them so bad

i love whenever i'm reading a fanfic and it's so sweetly emotional that you feel your own emotions kicking in. so whenever i hear my work has that effect on someone else it's one of the nicest feelings in the world and WHAT DO YOU MEAN FAVORITE IKE AND/OR LUXIEM FIC EVER. that's super high praise thank youuuuu sobsobsob

the ogs remember the poll i ran like a month ago about if ike should have freckles or not. shoutout to the landslide victory, if i remember correctly 97% of voters wanted ike with freckles! so glad that worked out, it works so well with the star theme and the difference between an online friendship meeting irl, and how reader loves them because it's a reminder that they have so much to learn about ike and are ready/willing, and also, freckles are just plain adorable. ike is just plain adorable. put them together and if i were richer and thirstier i'd be commissioning an artist

real talk tho i feel like ike goes from 1 to 100 whenever he catches himself simping over reader before the off-collab. either he's really good at acting composed, being normal, just interacting with his best friend like best friends do... or he's a stuttering, blushy mess that wavers like jell-o.

ike's the type of guy to sleepily check twitter before going to bed and whenever he sees pen and paper on his fyp it's like he snaps awake. maybe even squeaks or goes "a!" if it's especially.... you know. sometimes he can't even comprehend that people want him and reader to. well. his mouth goes dry.

and then he feels so dirty and embarrassed just because it's there, but... he's still looking at it. is it bad he's still looking at it? it definitely is but it's captivating, in a way. somehow. the artists are so talented, and somehow they nail your body language to a t, and the way your hair swoops above your eyes, and draw you with the cutest little expressions, and—

ah, who is he kidding.

in moments of weakness it triggers something in him to bury his face a little deeper in his blankets, pretend the screen's light would cool the heat pooling over his cheeks, and search the hashtag himself.

not even three pieces of fanart later, he has to throw his phone face-down on the mattress, cover his blush with a pillow, and now he's definitely squealing. it's healing and it makes him ill. it's... pretty. you're pretty. and he's pretty dumb for letting a silly crush distort itself like this.

the worst part is that some of these line up a little too well with daydreams he wanted to lock away until the end of time. he likes when he takes the lead. the stunned, puppyish expression so rare it only shows up on your face during the biggest plot twists during a stream, but coated in a darkened blush as he pecks them on the cheek, elegant and composed. calm.

ohhhh, this can't be good for his heart. especially when ike himself is so red-faced just thinking of it. calm, his foot.

still with the pillow over his flush, ike feels around for his phone and sets it on his nightstand. he chides himself. that's enough internet for the day, eveland! now quit acting like a shoujo high schooler in love and go to bed already, it's not going to happen!

he sets his face into a determined frown as he lifts the pillow and sets it aside. with any luck, he'd go the rest of the night without thinking of reader and his feelings for them.

the frown eases as he nestles into his blankets and tucks himself in. soft sheets and warm comfort greet him as he shuts his eyes, and he enters the fluffy haze of sleep as he slips into dreamland...

...is what he'd like to say, but not even ten seconds later his eyes snap open and jerks upright in bed. wait, i'm acting like i'm in love?!

he sits with the thought seeping through his brain like a corrosive acid, filing through every little moment he daydreamed about you, and when those don't paint him a picture he likes, he tries to recall the moments he shared with you instead. those are even fonder, and even worse.

he slaps his hands over his face and sighs, and when it sounds lovesick he sighs even more.

a fun fact about me is that my mom was a geologist (she hasn't worked as one since i was very small, she's a fulltime volunteer lmao) so i have been taught RockFacts. i havent retained most of them. but im a couple points above average. i get shown rocks by kids at my job very regularly and they always pick up either feldspar or quartz. i tell them "you can take one rock home, so pick carefully!" so that way they arent taking a lot of rocks but im not being a funkiller. anyway on family vacations when i was a kid, my mom would drag us to quarries. to look at rocks. and my older sister was like "im gonna find a FOSSIL" meanwhile i was like. i am going to gather my favorite mineral. the humble and peelable mica. my sister found NO fossils meanwhile i walked out of there w a grocery bag stuffed w mica. some of which i donated to my job. thats rob rockfacts.

ok girl but what's your favorite chapter?

hehehehe im not even joking for the longest time even before i started posting tvl i was talking about how my faves is just the stretch from the last scene in ch9 all the way to ch11…. but also i love every tvl chapter in its own way for many different reasons… all my babies :( all scenes i crafted over like. ages. I could argue for virtually any chapter to be my fave but i do have scenes im EXTRA fond of here and there. if I could hold a poll for fave scenes in tvl I would. guys what r ur fave scenes in tvl

oh fun fact tho. aside from the first scene of ch8 (which took me 1-1.5 weeks to finish) all of ch8 was written in a stretch of several hours in which I sat down at my desk decided to type on my iPad to write for once and said ‘WE ARENT LEAVING TILL ITS DONE!!!’ obviously I have edited it for clarity and improvement since then but it’s crazy that I wrote most of ch8 in a day. it’s so funny to me. and it’s an absolute banger

anyway if there’s anything I can say for what ch10 and 11 are like I would say ch10 is very much so… non-linear storytelling. which is different from how tvl has been so far w events essentially just happening in sequence. and ch11 is very like. rapid fire! it has a lot more scenes than a usual chapter would but also they’re much shorter in nature. very much BAM! next. BAM! okay next. whereas so far in tvl you’ve had like Longer scenes where each chapter only has two or three scenes. and ch12 is also awesome but im currently reworking a scene to make it even more awesome. tvl takes forever but it’s worth it to me bc it’s a story I’ve really wanted to tell and im so glad u guys like reading it tee hee ^_^

I should be sleeping. It's ten pm and to me that's sleepy time. But im awake bc i was reading the last two chaps of tales untold. I hadn't read too much fanfic in the past two weeks bc i was busy. But I'm finally free. And I'm getting caught up on some Fics. I loved absolutely LOVED how Jake introduced himself to reader. He said he didn't want to introduce himself that way but being protective of marc was the best way to be introduced. I know we saw Jake for like 5 minutes or less in the series but he has become my favorite and i love how people write him in fics he's a special blorbo to me. I can't believe you're almost done with tales untold. It's so good i can't believe we are at the end.

I love how you write the system so much and how reader dealt with Marc and the tips Jake gave her.

woohooo its 11pm and its time for me to have an opinion on the internet

now i know theres no rule about sticking to one team or whatever. Personally I think it’s more fun that way, but thats my opinion and to each their own. It’s also equally fun to vote and strategize for multiple teams, but therein lies the opinion im talking about tonight

theres like. one master in particular. who is not doing that with sportsmanshiply intentions. i keep seeing them jump around into other team’s notes and pitting them all against each other, then going to “their” team and acting like some triple agent with loads of insight. because that’s the thing. they’re not playing for multiple teams, they’re playing for ONE team and acting like theyre playing for four. Theyre not even sound plays, they’re plays that are 1. entirely hypothetical and thus split votes based on no evidence 2. straight up false claims of what other teams are doing 3. continuously pushing for One course of action then strategizing against it with their home team, but not reporting back, thus proving they arent playing for more than one team.

first of all, everyone can read. obviously we’re all out here looking at each team. but doing reconnaissance-equivalent is not the problem, because recon is just observation

its one thing to look into what other teams are doing and make decisions based on that. But it’s ANOTHER thing entirely to go into another team’s discussion and point them in a direction that directly benefits an opposing team, or pits multiple teams against each other with the intent to make them lose, or at least make Your Team Win. its straight up sabotage.

honestly it takes the fun out of this.

Is it really so important that your favored servant win the silly little poll game that you’re going to play double, triple, quadruple agent? that you’re going to argue and act high and mighty and smart and clever about it? absolutely support who you want to support. vote on as many teams as you want! but dont go trying to influence other team’s decisions just so your favorite team has a better chance at winning the silly poll. that’s such poor sportsmanship!!!!

folks are starting to take the idea of victory too seriously and it’s draining the fun right out of the whole thing. which is a shame because this is a lot of fun and i enjoy it, i just enjoy it significantly LESS when someone is going around trying to make themselves win.

its just a poll. it doesnt even mean anything. why cant people be normal about it and have a genuine fun time. why is it necessary to cheat? ugh

i kinda want to say something to them because they’ve been weirdly like...aggressive...about strategy and potential plays. but im not about to waste my energy on that lmfao. i recognize that it doesnt matter. however I AM tired of seeing them.

any tips for people who are intrested in streaming but dont know where to start?

I have a few, though less about the technical and more about the social aspects that get you an inch off the ground.

One: Promote on the largest platform you have access to. Streamers who get big on twitter or tumblr or youtube or tiktok do it because they were already independently popular on those sites (or in my case, I happen to be friends with people who are independently popular here). Anything can work, especially if you DONT see people posting stream promos there.

Two: The key to getting popular is seeming more popular than you actually are. I was asking my friends to just have my stream open but muted in another tab for the first few months I streamed so new people wouldnt feel awkward being the only person in chat. This will get you off of 0 concurrent viewers, at the very least.

Three: pick a time slot and dont stray far from it.

Four: In your early stages, especially pre-affiliate, feel free to experiment with your games and see what sticks. Play whatever you have or whatever youre interested in, you'll develop a niche in time (such as me and my increasing dependence on challenge run content). Old games are nostalgic, new games are exciting, obscure games are mysterious, and famous games are prestigious! So long as youre having fun you'll probably be fun to watch. Bundles are your friends, as are emulators.

Five: never shut the fuck up. Never. Unless you have someone on cocom with you there is no reason to ever stop talking. I promise youre not annoying, people came to see *you* and even if youre all alone in a chat room with 3 people you know arent actually listening, the fourth who tabs into your stream will most likely stay for at least a little while so long as you keep the one-sided conversation going. Talk about the game, tell stories about your life, talk about ANYTHING. Also BACKGROUND MUSIC-- get a youtube playlist with your favorite video game tracks or whatever and just run it in the background whenever youre not playing a game with bgm. it doesnt need to be loud but it should probably be there.

Six: Anyone who tells you not to get affiliate the moment youre eligible is talking out their ass. Sure ads suck, but you know what doesnt suck? Community features like polls, emotes, raids and channel points. That being said, you should have a team of mods by then.

and finally, and I cant stress this enough, DONT TAG YOUR STREAMS AS LGBT, DISABLED, POC, OR ANY OTHER MARGINALIZED GROUP, you are only going to attract hate raids. Be who you are openly and proudly through the content you stream, but until twitch fixes this situation do not touch the tagging system outside of its relation to your stream content.

Some Goofy AU art

Cataline! Shes a black cat animatronic with humanesce feet and hands. The feet and hands are for grabbing things and the feet are so children dont get scared, or if anything is in the way, they can scootch things out of the way with their feet.

Everwhere but her hands and feet have a plush feel. Kinda like the OGs

Her best friends are Monty and Roxy, and along with The Daycare Attendant! Seeing as they all are new characters, and people arent thrilled to see them, so they all kinda hang out together.

Cataline’s job is working in The Lost and Found! She spends her working hours running around looking for lost items to bring it to the lost and found! She also will stay with lost children and bring them to the lost and found after the announcement has been made that this child is lost.

She regularly makes piles for The Daycare. Clothes that have been there for more than a week, will be brought to Sun and Moon for children who need a change of clothes.

She makes piles for human STAFF if they need a change of clothes.

lost shoes are kept for people who need a new pair.

Cataline spends afterhours either trailing behind Monty, or sitting with Roxy in her room until it nears the end of the first afterhours, hour and then goes to see Moon and hang out in the daycare until it gets close to her recharge hours.

Shipping

Okay so I dunno who to exactly ship her with. Roxy is a no go as in my canon, Roxy is with Chica, Monty is like her older brother, so thats a no. DJMM kinda scares her, and she also doesnt want to piss off MM. So through the process of elimination, that leaves our lovely boys, Sun/Moon and Glamrock Freddy.

Before AFTON Glitch

Cataline’s main programming is to protect children, find lost things, and help keep the Pizzaplex clean!

She’s super kind, loving and will help take care of the band if any of them need some love.

She wears an abandoned APPA Bucket hat because its cute and none of the other animatronics wanted it.

She LOVES her Appa bucket hat

Children going missing

Cataline has a hard time understanding what has happened. She’s consistantly in Parts and Services, Fazbear Entertainment thinking that she was the one causing the missing children. Since then, whenever she sees a child alone, she curls around them and waits until any of the band has come to take the child to their parent or when a parent finds her curled up around the child.

During AFTON Glitch

Okay, so she still keeps up the extra heightened protection around children, like a reverse affect from Moon. Cataline just scans the parents, and seeing anyone with a child that didn't arrive with them its on sight, calling a “Code Charlotte” Cataline starts getting the Moon treatment after that. She gets put in Lost and Found during working hours and then after hours she’s let out to collect lost and found.

She spends a lot of time with Moon after being locked up in Lost and Found, she leaves before Moon can turn to Sun. She does try to not spend a lot of time with anyone that doesn't understand whats happening to her.

During the game

She isn't hostile until Gregory starts decommissioning her friends. She sees that little shit and its on sight. She isnt allowed out of the main entrance and Superstar Daycare. Her voice lines would be:

“Why Roxy?”

“Monty cant walk because of you!”

“Chica can’t speak!”

“Roxy, your still beautiful! Your still my favorite racer!”

“Monty, I can carry you! Let me.”

“Just follow me Chica.

“Gregory! Come here!”

“Gregory? Gregory!”

“Why is Vanessa allowing a child to do this to us?”

If Cataline notices Gregory getting into Freddy a special voice line occurs: “Freddy? Why aren’t you decommissioned? W-Why do you have Roxy’s eyes?”

Cataline isnt available for decomission but she can be severely distracted for a good few minutes, her daycare pile of clothing and items can be disrupted and she’ll be right there, trying to fix it.

Ending

I like an ending where everything is fixed and everyone is all better!

So I'm kinda bullshitting here cause I'm not 100% caught up with the Lessons. But I had this running by my mind still.

We know how the celestial realm (heaven) and devildoom (hell) are very different depicted than in normal bible text and ECT. As in the devildoom already existed before when god created humans and let them wonder the earth. That appearantly is bigger than both the devildoom and maybe the celestial realm as well???

So I was thinking thoughts, what the fuck was god doing BEFORE even having the angels in mind?? Was the devildoom around?? Did presumably the demon king ancestor or himself were just vibing into timeless space and we're like. "Man you kinda borning I'ma make something" ???? Like what kind of relationship even was it before all this stupid division of balance or what not. I feel like they had beef only cause the demon king just wanted to chill or some shit but god was to much of a noisey bitch and puke out some ring floating eyes and call it his sons and the demon king just said fuck no.

AFKJGNKBGJKF THE END OF THIS ASK IS KILLING ME

Honestly with how I’ve written my timeline of events, I see it as the first king of hell to be the brother of god. Not a friend, not any of that shit- but two literal brothers. maybe even twins if you wanna get funky.

For an eternity after their were first brought into the concept of even thinking; they’d been learning about each other. what sort of things would they like to do, what sort of things would they want to try out? and after eons upon eons of just... talking about it, they eventually do it. And so celestia was created. but they have different ideas about how to run things, and a fight ensues. and not too long into it all, did a fight break out and, in similar fashion of lucifer and his brothers, did the “evil” brother (the ancient king maybe?) lose the battle and was cast out, along with those who opposed god.

now the demon king, not having anything to do with his followers, creates a new world. (or maybe his brother created that realm for him to do as he wanted, as they WERE still brothers after all and a simple fight wouldnt completely ruin their relationship) and so now you have hell.

this would probably explain why they arent literally at a war yet, but id like to think that the idea of a war brewing isnt lost on everyone in the current cast?

So when Lucifer comes out and is like yeah no this shit sucks you fucking suck god, throws a tantrum starts a war and then falls again, gods like what the fuck man keep your hands off my angels (bc theres probably more angels than demons?????) the devil is like alright what if we just make a middle ground realm where we have ppl who arent devout to you but also arent out here being literal demons either... and we just watch them and tempt them to come to us or something????

and so the human realm is created. and maybe gods been winning this little “race” or “game” or whatever you wanna call it. maybe gods been getting more and more angels and so the demon king is like well what if i do an exchange program and show humans that the devildom isnt such an awful place???

.... and with that messy rambling out of the way, its my theory that MC is the first of MAAAANY humans to come someday. indoctrination of humans into loving demons and the life of being “evil” just so the demon king can win the favoritism poll.

its a really messy thought bunny ive had for a WHILE but never felt the urge to flesh out. but going over everything from the VEEERY beginning up until now and trying to rationalize or reason for why things happen can be INCREDIBLY interesting provided one has the time...

2017 Tumblr Character Popularity Poll i guess

sup so here is my choice ^^ i chose these five because all five of them seem the most realistic and 3 dimensional characters to me.

so beginning with Eren; he has been my favorite character in SNK ever since i got into the series, its been about four years and i am still up his ass love him. he is someone who i somewhat identify with yet aspire to be as well. sounds dumb probably but yeah. his mental strength is something i find in real people too very admirable, as well as his persistence and the fact that he fights until the end even if it the odds arent working in his favor at all. he’s not like ‘why should i keep going if the chance of this working out is so thin’, no, he’s all 'i can work this out with whatever little chance is left’ - this boy is a hurricane and such a vibrant, dynamic character - it gives me goosbumps sometimes. i suffered with him throughout his developement and i just like him so much because we started out so similar; we were both impulsive, emotional kids and didnt think before saying smth or acting. i could understand eren from the start. the way he grew up though and is still growing gives me so much hope for myself too - he’s a good learner, he can control his emotions better and he’s actually a rly clever kid in my opinion. people used to look down on him for seemingly being 'all talk but not acting’ and now look up to him - in my opinion not only because he’s humanities hope but because he is such a great, strong person. he radiates that power and its just fucking amazing. this kid is so dear to me and out of all the fictional characters outta books/movies/anime/mangas he has a special spot in my heart. he inspires me and kicks my ass whenever im in the gym or in a mentally challenging situation, like a little voice in the back of my head. sounds stupid but this rly works.

now Annie; i have a thing for ambigious characters. i feel like in our society people tend to see things in black and white and are quick to judge wether or not something or someone for that matter is good or bad. thats just such bullshit and annoys me so much sometimes. ive met people who were so goody goody that it made me hate them. they just didnt want to see that they’ve made bad decisions, have said bad things too because it would be oh so damaging for their reputation. fuck that. nothings just bad or just good. trying to fit into this good role has been haunting me for a while until i realized that people never really show you all their faces. Annie seems like the villain, the asshole, the one responsible for death and misery but does anyone ever think about the fact that she doesnt want to do so? she sure can choose what she does - but that is just hard when certain opinions, patterns etc. have been drilled into your brain ever since you were a child. she is conflicted, she really is. i believe that she is a good person, i truly do. all she wants is to reach her goals and she’s been 'brainwashed’ into doing things in the process that are just horrible and she knows what is considered bad and good nontheless. characters like her are so interesting.

besides that, Annie is a truly strong person. mentally and physically. her determination is so admirable and strong and as a side effect of her being very goal oriented she also dropped giving a damn about how people think she’s a bad person. i feel like she knows that she is not. and that she understands what she does and did is wrong but damn it, she just wants to go home. shes not cold, she just seems really really tired of the weight on her shoulders that is pushing her down. she knows what matters and shows emotions in moments that are important. i love how she can filter trivial shit from the things that matter. and whenever she did show emotions it was so heart warming or relieving for me to see. when she cried because she couldnt catch eren, when she smiled when he showed his respect and admiration towards her by using her fighting techniques or when she laughed when she finally revealed that she was the female titan. my ereannie shipper heart is showing i guess lmao

Ymir; marry me!! is another ambigious character. its clear as hell that she doesnt care about how people see her and i feel like she herself doesnt try to label herself as good or bad anyway. i think without that knowledge she can work things out just fine and thats just so freaking amazing and admirable. such labels aren’t something we should focus on too much and we should just focus on being - then great things come naturally imo.

she, too, knows what matters and knows what doesnt. not only is she super careless and charming /swoons/ with her sassiness (at least imo), shes also incredibly good at reading people and is not afraid to call someones bullshit out. i’ve always liked her a lot and her backstory made her even more interesting. ymir is so clever and a knows how to survive.

a big part of her is also her love for historia and that is another thing i love about her. she openly cares for her and that shows that shes not some arrogant rotten person. she can make anyting work if its for historia. this shows a huge admirable dedication and at first i could hardly imagine her having so much love for someone and caring for someone else besides herself. in her flashback it seemed like she was a rather timid ish kid? now look at the amazing woman she is now - im so so stunned and have a lot of respect for her. another truly great and 3 dimensional character.

fourth is Armin; a lot of my friends dont like him because hes such a 'basic character’ - they mean that theres apparently always a physically weak and 'just’ intelligent character in any story. Armin is more than that. these things sure are true - but hes also a mentally strong person and a good friend. he gives everyone a chance and even felt bad for when he tricked annie, the enemy!, in the episode/chapter where him, eren and mikasa wanted her to lead them through some underground tunnel and she refused. armin is so good natured yet is not afraid to speak the harsh truth (when he called reiner and berthold out for leaving annie behind when they tried to kidnap eren and told them how she gets tortured) or act violently when its really, really necessary (like when he shot the guy who attacked jean on the carriage). he has stupidly good intuition and i admire that so much. he got his shit together and that is in my opinion worth much more than physical strength.

lastly Mikasa; i used to dislike/rather ignore her when i got into SNK. but years ago, i just scratched on the surface of SNK and its characters, last year i started reading the manga though and now that season two is animated i can say that i rly love her. at first i thought of her as another 'basic’ character - physically strong but emotionless to keep up some weird badass image. but she really is badass. especially in the manga shes strong in many ways.

mentally, physically - she not only cares about eren, as i at first thought, she cares about many and she knows how to protect them. she has a clear mind and has her priorities set straight. and shes sure as hell not emotionless - she is one of the characters who had felt the most emotions possible imo and coped with a lot of pain. she coped with so much. what kind of badass deals two times with the loss of their parents and doesnt think 'i dont want to do this anymore’? mikasa ackerman is that kinda badass. ofc shed turn out a little distant, rather cold. but she could have become a cry baby, she could have just given up - but she never did. not even when she thought that eren has been eaten by a titan. like, if her entire universe would seriously only revolve around eren she would have had this stupid thought 'if hes dead then i wanna be with him’ but she did not choose that path. she is so so so powerful, fuck im in awe because of her all the damn time, as im writing this im already about to tear up because shes just amazing. she knows pain so well, yet she doesnt allow it to destroy her.

and, same as with annie, i cheerish the moments she smiled, cried and comforted armin or eren. i even cheerished the moment she snapped when she thought eren was dead and became so reckless because it just made her so much more human in my eyes.
