#they're using all of your gems in your gacha games

OK when I did yamask ingo I got the ghost pokemon idea where ingo and gris stayed in hisui and decided to stay and become pokemon
The reveal of rotom gris his mismatched eyes are from arceus and giratina
Tumblr media
Oh my god I can totally see Gris as a Rotom!!!! (love the shiny rotom with purple, very gris vibes)
Rotom Gris would just be zipping around and crashing into things while Yamask Ingo gently floats around, trying to make sure they don't get stuck inside a newly invented the machine.
I love the idea of Gris getting mismatching eyes from Arceus and Giratina (i might make that canon in the vessel au) and it stays with them as a pokemon. Like the lingering effects it had on him just stayed.
(i really need to draw more of the au)
Now I'm thinking about the two of them, maybe old and having the time of their life in hisui, agreeing to hopefully reincarnate as pokemon together.

I still can't get over how much of a dirty scam the pricing is for Pokemon Masters. Like..
14,000 gems for 80 dollars? excuse me? who the crap is wasting their money like that on a game that barely has any real function as a game?
it's NOT worth it. AT ALL. you're not even fully guaranteed to get whatever character(s) you're aiming for with it.
if you want to do those 2 1-limit paid-only gems sync scouts they have rn you've have to pay $80 for the 10,000 you'll need since they're 5000 gems each. sure it sounds like a lot you're getting, but man. I don't think it's worth it.
I refuse to give this game my money. idk how people fall into this gacha scam. please save your money for something that's actually more useful and important.

Y'all okay,
I started playing 'What in Hell is Bad', it's basically an 18+ version of 'Obey Me' and yea this game is spicy.
Anyway, big surprise, out of all the sexy demons I've interacted with so far, two of them I've done the sideways tango with, my favorite character is this guy
Tumblr media
Who's not even a demon. He's the childhood best friend character.
But plot wise he takes care of the MC before the whole demon thing, knows how to cook, and I'm pretty sure was ready to search through the entire world to find them when they had to take and extended visit to Hell.
What more could you want in a man? A decent dic— according to MC he has that too so check mate.
More thoughts about the game itself under the cut if you're interested.
I just finished chapter one, and can I just say this game is hard, in every sense of the word.
It's a new game by a smaller developer so it's full of bugs but I've heard the devs do try their best to patch them ASAP so I don't hold that against them. Aside from my boy Satan not hitting water enemies, even though devs said they patched that a few updates ago, it's mostly QoL improvements that can be made to make the game just overall more enjoyable including but not limited to:
A pity system? Maybe? I don't know if this game has pity or not on their gacha machines and if they do I'd like to know how screwed I am because I have no self-control and have been doing single pulls on the hot boy gacha instead of saving up and doing 10-pulls so I wanna know if it's better to do 10-pulls or if it literally makes no difference because I just go until I hit pity like in arknights.
Skipping the cut scene that plays when you gacha because I swear that's one of the main reasons you can't play this game in public no matter how discreet you try to be lmao
Opening multiple chests at once and levelling up multiple times in one go because as far as I know, right now you need to click one by one for both of these.
Maybe a thing where it just takes you to the part of the story you're currently in instead of making you click through chapter select and scrolling to it.
A shortcut button to the gacha screen, secret club, and dark sanctuary (resource grind stages). They're core aspects of the game yet you can't get to them without going through the home screen.
Auto deploy and auto play for the resource grinding stages
Setting an L-rank character (side note, it's really funny that the highest rank of cards is rank 'L') as your homescreen boi is really awkward because it always ends up zoomed in on one part so you can't actually see the full boi.
This last one I feel like is just a personal thing but why is it three red keys per single pull for the hot boy gacha? Three just feels like such a random number lmao. Ig they mostly want you to use the red gems, which are grind-able to some extent, to buy the keys from the store.
Overall tho, I enjoy it. I like the tower defense like combat system and being able to move units around is actually pretty fun. So yea give it a try, see if it's your cup of tea.

Mobile Otome Recommendations
Hi, everyone! I've gotten into otome in the recent years. I got my start with mobile games, so I thought it'd be fun to talk about some of my favorites as my first recommendations post on this blog. If you have questions or other recommendations, let me know.
Tumblr media
MYSTIC MESSENGER
youtube
Mystic Messenger has a chatroom setting with many beloved characters of the RFA (Rika's Fundraising Association). MC finds a phone with the RFA app installed, ultimately leading to MC's position as party coordinator. There's more than meets the eye with the organization and the founder's history, however.
Unsurprisingly, this is the game that sparked my interest in otome. I felt the chatroom playstyle was very unique and a relatable way of getting to know the characters. It's fun to get calls from them occasionally too. The characterization and plot are so enjoyable, it's almost heartbreaking each route ends after 11 days. I could easily spend months on each of these character's routes.
As much as I love that it works in real time, it can be difficult to play with a busy schedule. It's also heavy with the triggering/dark content the more you play, so make sure that's something you're comfortable with before picking it up.
Features: Chatroom, routes, calls, real time, dark content.
Tumblr media
WANNABE CHALLENGE
youtube
MC is a model who has always faced misfortune in her life. She never expects anything good to happen. Some of her memories are also missing, including her history with the goblins, but they're there to protect her. Will her luck turn around as she suddenly finds herself living with four men and competing in the Wannabe Challenge?
I started playing this one more recently and I am in love with it. My only regret is not starting sooner. The blend of historical, modern, and fantasy is well done. The characters are so lovable, I'm not sure I can pick a favorite. The MC is pretty sassy too, which I'm fond of. The Wannabe Challenge itself is based on Instagram, so it's cool to see what characters post while having the opportunity to respond and make your own posts. There's also a dress up and gacha aspect to the game, if you're a fan of that.
The only downside I think is the difficulty of the photoshoot challenges, requiring you to have specific stats. You'll want to upgrade your cameras and cards wisely. On the bright side, the game is generous with free gems and occasionally allowing you to use a random SSR to help succeed.
Features: Instagram, text messaging, gacha, optional ads for free resources, dress up, challenges, affection levels, unlockable stories.
Tumblr media
ARCANA TWILIGHT
youtube
The Summoner enters an unfamiliar world, filled with sorcery. Their presence seems to bring more chaos and mystery than ever expected. Why do they have a special ability? What is it they see in their mind's eye? What about them attracts danger?
I feel like Arcana Twilight is a very underrated game. I've thoroughly enjoyed the story and getting to know the cast of characters. Their dynamics never fail to entertain. I also appreciate that the cast is 19+ despite this being a magic school setting. Constellations, magic, and monsters are all my taste.
The challenges can be difficult in this game as well. You have to battle between chapters which gets increasingly challenging as you go. Pay attention to elements and leveling your cards.
Features: Gacha, challenges, affection levels, ads for resources, text messaging, unlockable stories.
Tumblr media
LOVEBRUSH CHRONICLES
youtube
The MC is an artist during her first year at a university. She has special skills, resulting in her finding herself in different worlds. There are some familiar faces there too...
I was very excited to hear about an English release for this game. I thought the art was gorgeous when I first stumbled across it, and I still feel that way. They have an amazing voice cast too. I like the idea of being able to explore different worlds/universes and seeing the roles each of the love interests play. I'm looking forward to diving deeper and seeing what other worlds get released.
Much like the others listed above, there is a combat feature in the game requiring you to focus on your cards/leveling. Thankfully, you can bring support from other players into battle which may be the difference between success and failure.
Features: Routes, social media posts, affection points, gacha, combat, alternate universes, friend support.
Tumblr media
THE SSUM
youtube
MC uses a dating app to find their "special someone." Based on initial answers, MC is paired with one of the love interests on the app. A relationship is built up over a long period of time. But is there more to the app than meets the eye?
I feel like it comes full circle to have a Cheritz game on my phone again. I'm a sucker for their games (Dandelion and Nameless included), so I had to check this one out too. I've only done June's route at the moment, but I adored every moment of it. I like that I can set it up based on my real life schedule and there aren't consequences for missing chats. I also like the ties to Mystic Messenger. If you're missing the charm of Mystic Messenger, you may want to check this one out to satisfy the nostalgia.
There are some other features on the app, but I'm mostly focused on the story. It is still fun to check out planets and posts by other players though. This game will require a lot of patience as the other routes span 200+ days. Parts of spoken conversations and some photos will also be hidden unless you pay a monthly fee, but it will not prevent you from enjoying the story if you choose to play for free.
Features: Chatroom, dating app profiles, planet exploration, community posts, optional monthly fees, real time, calls, routes (that can all be played at the same time).

Downloaded the new Cookie Run spin-off game (Witch's Castle) because the video was pretty cool, but dang does this game suck.
The gacha is an absolute rip-off, they've rolled all the gachas into one (so you can get cookies, furniture, civilians?, and a treasure chest in the same gacha) but you have to roll 3 of the same type to immediately get something from that category or you just have to roll repeatedly until a meter for it is filled (so you go from rolling dice to a roulette wheel, where you could get a cookie, but you're more likely to get the little soul gem things instead) and it feels very much like a slap in the face, because like, my luck in Ovenbreak and Kingdom sucks but at least I get SOMETHING useful from each roll (like I may not get the cookie I want, but I might still get a cookie I don't have, or gems to get closer to getting that cookie.)
There are also no 10 rolls. So it's not like you can increase your chances of getting anything good.
I also don't understand why every Cookie Run game has to start the exact same way, which GingerBrave being created and making the run to leave the castle? Like, are these alternate universes? I guess they need to do the whole intro if Witch's Castle or Kingdom was someone's FIRST game, but it still feels weird that they reset to the beginning so often.
This isn't really a complaint but I do find it VERY funny how like, detailed, the cookies are getting over time? Like, you look at Vampire Cookie compared to any of the newest cookies and they're like, crazy detailed.
I havent seen much of the new game but Im happy to know I dont seem to be missing out LOL
Yeah I guess its just context... after all the original game being an infinite runner makes sense pretty much like with the pretty well known fairy tale with the gingerbread man character running around... so i mean I guess I kinda get why theyd need some context to justify the weird world theyve created??
AND YES! Its very funny how detailed they got. Love that. Its especially funny when old cookies get costumes that are more suited to the newer style.

I know I just made a post about the complaints but what do you fucking mean the new rateup gacha is paywalled. I know PB is new to this sort of gacha game but at this point, I really do think they need to do some more research and look at how other gachas manage their own rateup gachas as well as their game balancing, because this is getting fucking ridiculous.
Several issues I have with this:
(Rant post again, feel free to skip over. I'm tired at this point.)
It's giving Pokemon Unite new character being paywalled vibes. And people complained HARD about Unite because new characters are often busted while shifting the meta greatly, which is like. Really Fucking Bad for Ranked!!! You can make the argument that WHB is a PvE game but still, not a wise decision when PvE meta and viability can change over time. Look at how, in Arknights, the standard DP generator combo became the Flagpipe combo the moment Bagpipe was released, or how people started using GoldenGlow over Eyjafjalla for her global range. You can clear stages with other units, it just becomes much more complicated. And this game's current meta for easy clears is L-rank skill spam, so if this trend keeps up...
The amount of communication regarding patch notes is atrociously low. Early on, there were some ninja patches without any prior notice as to what they're for - the last time I've seen this happen is on Brave Frontier (which is where we used this term most anyways), and they've stopped doing sudden patch fixes without any announcements after their servers have mostly stabilized (which was around Zevalhua or Alfa Dilith arc iirc, this was nearly a decade ago). Even GBF announces major patch notes like the raid instakill after Belial raid implementation exploit, only doing stealth fixes for things like fixing skill descriptions (and EVEN THEN they still announce what they fixed). Some days after launch I've tapped into WHB only to be greeted by a ~400 mb size patch, which is really fucking draining on standard shit SEA net, and often with no discernible reason behind the update at all. Which often leaves me wondering, what the fuck were they fixing to warrant such a huge patch - especially when there wasn't any obvious difference between patches?
Related to the above, one of the things that I feel pissed players off about this current banner is the fact that there was no indication that it was going to be a paid gacha. The prior announcement only mentioned the usage of Solomon's Seals, which people naturally assumed could be purchased using Guilty Gems. Having separate gacha materials for a time limited banner would make sense to most seasoned gacha players - this system is used in many CN games like Honkai Star Rail and Arknights to differentiate between banners. In HSR it's to differentiate between permanent items (Regular Warp) and new/limited items (Event Warp), while in AK it's to differentiate between older units (Kernel Headhunt, up until Suzuran's banner) and newer units (all other Headhunts, including Limited Headhunts). In both of these cases, you could use each game's respective Guilty Gem equivalent (Stellar Jade for HSR, Orundum for AK) to grab these gacha items. Which, again, is not the case in this new banner.
Another thing that pissed players off is the monetization. Now, me and a friend have both voiced out our gripes with this game in our GBF crew server, and it's mostly related to the gacha rates and scarcity of resources. Solomon's Tears, Greater Key and Lesser Key rates, how little Guilty Gems we get? All discussed by us. It got to a point non-players end up getting interested to listen to what we have to say about this game. And recently, after finding out just how expensive the Solomon's Seals packs are (if they're really $30, then they're the same price as a GBF Suptix for a 10-pull, and a Suptix is a 10-pull PLUS a unit of your choice from a given pool of units), it got to a point where we're just not surprised. It's insane how much we've grown tired of the constant bad decisions.
Even though I'm against harassing the devs, it's decisions like these that are VERY worthy of criticism imo, and very understandable for it to be the reason why one might choose to drop the game. I understand that you need money, but the monetization practices and gacha mechanics being introduced are not F2P friendly. In fact, I doubt they're friendly for dolphins, either - only whales and leviathans can reasonably benefit from them. And I've talked extensively about the game design choices that confuse me at best and piss me off at worst. Me personally, I've definitely reached my limit on leniency for the devs, and I've been lenient on other games as well, notably Limbus Company. Look, as much as Project Moon fucked up with how they handled the Vellmori situation, LCB also had a very rocky launch with worse stability issues than WHB (I nearly couldn't beat Kromer bc of them), but I still stuck by it because it was F2P-friendly, had a super engaging world and characters paired with a superb story, and the devs were communicative about everything (roadmap and emergency updates included). It got to a point I was about to willingly drop money for the paid battlepass if Gregor had a paid EGO reward (AEDD Gregor ended up being free but I bought some Google Play credit just in case - which was diverted to Muse Dash in the end) if not for the controversy. The monetization and paid gacha being the rate-up in WHB is definitely the straw that broke the camel's back for me.
As for what I'm going to do with my WHB account? The fan server I'm in was compiling the bugs they've found as well as other concerns regarding the gameplay and gacha mechanics in particular, to send an email to the devs. I might help around with these efforts if still required and see if there are any positive changes (especially in terms of monetization). I've stopped playing regularly for now, and I feel like this is a game I'm likely to drop in the future. Which is a shame, because while I find the premise interesting, to me it isn't enough to justify the shoddy game experience. Especially when I have other games on my plate - chapter 12 H stages are coming in AK, and Lone Trail is next week btw!
I'll just vicariously enjoy the plot through other people's playthroughs, mostly because that's what interested me about this game in the first place. I'm sorry, I just can't force myself to play the damn game at this point.

"why do they let characters die to a 2% crit in the tutorial maps?" [A'lear part 2]
Tumblr media
So it turns out the dragon is Queen Lumera, ruler of Lythos and A'lear's mother. Lumera is overjoyed to see her daughter awake again after her thousand year slumber, and despite the latter's missing memories, it's a happy reunion.
A'lear takes a moment to admire a pigeon (wow, a pigeon!) and grab some acorns from the ground. It's possible this is just instinctive dragon hoarding behaviour. It's very adorable.
Queen Lumera turns back into a giant dragon and offers them all a ride on her back. They head to her castle.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Exposition time: there are five nations in Elyos. The four human nations, arranged in a ring, are Flowers, Mountains, Snow, and Desert. (Or spring, autumn, winter, and summer, if you prefer. The world map animates falling leaves over the mountain biome.) In the centre of the map lies, Lythos, home of the Divine Dragons — well, the Divine Dragon, singular, last of her kind right up until A'lear woke up this morning.
(oh and there was also a huuuuge landmass where the Fell Dragon ruled, but that's sealed beneath the waves, never to be seen again, never ever.)
A thousand years ago, the Fell Dragon Sombron appeared out of nowhere and fought the Divine Dragons for control of the Twelve Emblems. Once every thousand years, the Twelve Emblems can combine their power to do Plot Device Magic. Last time, they were used to seal the Fell Dragon Sombron away.
Isn't this just the plot of Shadow Dragon and The Sacred Stones?, wonders A'lear.
No, not at all, says Lumera. You see, the Emblems aren't just magic gems; they're magical glowy avatars based on Lords/protagonists from prior Fire Emblem games. It's kind of like cross-marketing — Sigurd fans will want to buy this game to see him, and others meeting him for the first time here will be hyped for the inevitable Genealogy of the Holy War remake.
Who's Sigurd?, asks A'lear.
We'll get to him soon, my child, says Lumera. He's really fun to use in this game, you're going to love him.
So... this is like Fire Emblem Heroes?, asks A'lear.
Well, not exactly like FEH—, says Lumera.
Oh, of course. It's like Fire Emblem Heroes but there's no gacha?
Good gracious!, it's time for training!, says Lumera.
Chapter 2
It's time for training! Lumera summons some Fabrications — glowy humanoid figures with empty eyes, who, she hastens to explain, are totally not like the Corrupted because they're blue instead of red. They're here for a mock battle.
Tumblr media
On my first attempt at this level, an archer scores a 2% critical hit on Clanne, instantly felling him. He bleeds out before a distraught A'lear, whimpering garbled nonsense, while Lumera stands nearby and kindly tells her daughter that she must learn to face her fears, even the fear of those under your care dying in your arms. The real enemy, after all, will not hold back.
Anyway, I reset the chapter.
The second time round, the archer does not crit, and merely sticks an arrow through Clanne's ribs, which his sister immediately heals with magic staff magic.
This map is designed to introduce two key mechanics for this game: Break and Chain Guard.
Break is this game's take on the classic Weapon Triangle, which now uses the same coloured icons as in FEH and looks great. Landing attacks with weapon advantage (sword < lance < axe < sword; daggers/bows/tomes < martial arts) will break the opponent's guard(*), letting your next attack on them go uncountered. It's great for seeing up your glass cannons — let your high-dodge swordmaster chip down the big Handaxe beserker, then your own zero-defense mage can fling a few fireballs safely.
Chain Guard is only available on certain classes: Martial Monk (generic healer), Martial Master (generic healer plus master seal), and Dancer (dancer). These "Qi Adept" units can go into a guard stance, blocking a single hit on behalf of an adjacent ally, and losing 20% HP in the process. Often this is not worth it, but sometimes having your healer go down to 15/25HP saves their 45HP allies from fatal damage.
In my opinion, the coolest thing about Qi Adepts are that these dedicated healer classes can occasionally pull their weight via damage prevention instead—explicitly with Chain Guard; implicitly when they're roundhouse kicking an enemy mage in the face—making them more flexible.
The second coolest thing is that enemy healers are now an active concern on player phase, often standing in the right position to prevent damage — or even a break! — against a boss.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Framme and Clanne help take care of some Fabrications, leaving most of the EXP to A'lear, who handily reaches Level 3. Lumera takes the field, but is defeated with the power of teamwork.
So then she sets up a second drill, in which she pulls out all the stops.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Meet Sigurd of Grannvale, from FE4: Genealogy of the Holy War. When equipped, Emblem Sigurd grants Mov+1 and Canter(**). When Engaged, Sigurd grants an additional Mov+5/6/7 depending on class. That means that if you're playing this level for the first time and you're not counting carefully, the UI will be telling you that Lumera's attack range ends waaaaay over there, and then Lumera will suddenly sprint eleven tiles — ⅔-way across the map — and take out most of Vander's HP with Ridersbane.
Luckily, this is my second run on the game, and I am counting carefully, so Framme is ready with a chain guard.
"Wow, what a powerful Emblem!" Vander says sycophantically, as Lumera's attempted 20 damage to him becomes a very underwhelming 6 damage to Framme.
Then Clanne sets the Queen on fire, Vander whacks her with an axe, and A'lear finishes the job.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lumera offers A'lear a ring. It's the gift she promised A'lear as a birthday present, one thousand years ago. A'lear refuses the gift for now: she doesn't remember anything from back then, so it feels like receiving a gift meant for someone else. Perhaps if Lumera waits until A'lear gets her memories back?
Okay, it's a promise.
Lumera is so proud of her daughter. She's so happy to be reunited. They're going to have so much time together now, and make so many happy memories.
And on that note, with her most important wisdom imparted, and promises made for the long future they'll have together, Queen Lumera gifts A'lear her own sword, and says she's so proud of her and she'll see her in the morning.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
She then monologues to herself about all the idyllic times she and A'lear have ahead of them. Then proceeds to leave Sigurd with mysterious instructions offscreen.
Tumblr media
Truly, all of Queen Lumera's affairs are in order. I guess she's going to bed, and will see A'lear in the morning?
Idk, something feels off here.
-----
(* Was considering Photoshopping a FEH trailer image for the following wall of text, but can't be bothered. The new mechanics work approximately as follows.
When a unit initiates combat with weapon advantage and damages foe, foe cannot counterattack, and after combat, inflict [Break] on that Foe until their next action.
[Break]: "Unit can't counterattack. Remove [Break] at end of combat."
Chain Guard: When a foe initiates combat against an adjacent ally and would hit that ally, instead unit loses 20% HP and ally is not damaged by that attack. Activate only at full HP. Chain Guard ends when it's triggered, or when unit loses HP, or when unit is next active.)
(** Canter — move up to two spaces after acting — is almost universally a safe pick for skill inheritance, regardless of unit or class. However, it costs 10 levels worth of SP and occupies one of two skill slots, so it's not always the best choice, especially in the early game where SP is scarce. (Disclaimer: I'm not an expert. Feigning certainty makes for more succinct writing.))

I did download the band game. And worst of all, I really like it. So far my only complains are the amount of memory storage it takes and the fact that my tablet is a decade old and likes to randomly kick me out of the game (to the point the game gave me a cool down warning on multi live for suspected abuse ;~;)
I just want to get more gems for equipment ¬^¬
But I am happy to report I crawled my way to playing on normal. (Ps, which band is your favorite? Im sticking with Popping party till I get the hang of all the mechanics)
Welcome to Bandori Hell! :3
Yea, storage usage is insane 😔 I usually wipe the cache after every second event or so because voice lines end up clogging my phone after a while
there's also this thing that's just inherent to the unity engine i believe, where your session's memory stacks up longer you play and makes the game laggier with time (and also the lower your battery is), which is a little bit annoying and still a thing in the newest version of the game
definitely use 3 boosts per live since that gives a pretty significant multiplier to drops after lives (also useful if you wanna get a good ranking in events, they're also just worth playing for free cards and items, you even get stars)
i can do expert pretty consistently now, but it took me over a year to get really used to everything (i wasnt really a rhythm gamer before that, now ive been playing basically since the begining of the eng server)
my faves used to be afterglow for the longest time until the introduction of morfonica (I am not immune to violin in modern music), and just talking characters, my faves are moca, eve, maya, nanami and masking
btw, definitely use all the free gacha chances you can now that the campaign is going on (and any time there is one, usually around the anniversary and new years, this one is for 400 songs added milestone i think)
also thats my player ID if you wanna add me as a friend: 8964086
(thats my 3rd profile, i lost my first one which im gonna be forever salty about, and i accidentally saved over my second one, which im also gonna be forever salty about)
so absolutely bind your profile!! (and also the bestdori tool for tracking your cards is very useful bc you have to send the list of your cards to support if you do need to recover your profile)

Heyo! I just wanted to thank you for all the translations you've done so far, they're super entertaining to read and they're actually the reason why I started trying to learn Japanese and now even started playing RGGO because I wanted to experience the game and the stories for myself! I'm a long long way from being able to play without the help of a translator, but I hope that playing will help me learn a little more as time goes on.
I hope you don't mind me asking tho... What can you do with the repeat cards you get? I saw that you can sell, but I was hoping there would be like a combining mechanic or something similar to it. Also, any tips on how to get more diamonds during the early game? Or just any tips at all for newbie players?
Hope you're having a nice night, and again thank you for the amazing work! Because honestly even after I do manage to learn enough Japanese, I'm definitely still going to be here happily waiting to see what new cards/stories you got your hands on for a new translation!! ❤️
AAAAAA THANK YOU!!! <3 <3 I'm glad to hear these translations have managed to hook you into learning Japanese and playing RGGO too!! Besides the stories, one of the pros of RGGO is also being able to hear the voices of the dead characters you know and love nyehehe ^^
You can use repeat cards to increase the maximum level of your card!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pardon my arrow-drawing skills sgsdsfhjs but if you go to the character selection and for example select Sexy Nishiki here, you can see that his max level is 50. Click on the circle above the "50" and it allows you to use either the extra Nishiki copies or those blue gems to increase his max level. Note tho that SR cards have max level of only 90, while SSR can go beyond 100.
For the tips, I'll put under a "Keep Reading" line cuz it might get long :D
The best way to get diamonds is to do the main storylines: Ichiban's, Ryuji's, and Kiryu's. Ryuji's and Kiryu's unlock the further you are in Ichiban's story. Every finished chapter gives 100 diamonds on top of whatever you earn during the chapter segments, so its definitely the fastest way to get diamonds (excepting of course if you buy diamonds, but I 100% do not recommend that because once you spend money in a gacha game its going to be a tough addiction to crack :< )
Tumblr media
The fourth one, the one with Komaki currently on it, is reserved for the RGGO events. When the event is the scratchcard event or the dice event, it's a good idea to play because you get tickets for pulling free SSR cards (either 30% chance or the 100% chance). Doing the Character Stories are also a good way to earn diamonds as long as you have the character on your team :D
Tumblr media
The second way is the easiest: log in everyday. After 7 days of logging in, you get diamonds. Accept them at the blue arrow.
The third way is to go to the red arrow for the daily quests:
Tumblr media
You can see the daily quest list here. If you finish 5 of them, you can get 30 diamonds! the ones I usually do are pulling for the daily free 11 cards, fighting at Donpachi (the pink arrow) for as many times as indicated here, fighting regular fights in either the Character Stories or the main plots, and going to the cabaret club at the white arrow.
That's all I can think of rn, i hope its enough!! I'm happy to hear you enjoy the translations!! <3

I think I have finally figured out the best way to play gacha mobile games
They're going to try and trick you by having you log in once a day to claim a prize. You probably won't be able to do much with it unless you use it as a tool to grind and HOPE you either get the desired progression or character you want. At best you may get a summoning gem or a useless item, of which you need 20+ or 300+ to do anything with
But fuck that shit
Leave that shit for 2 weeks to a month. Maybe longer if you feel like it. The log in bonus then will probably be someth like
"HEY THANKS FOR COMING BACK HERE'S 10 BAZILLION SUMMON GEMS!!! ALSO WE DID MAINTENANCE DURING YOUR TIME OUT SO HERE'S 3,000 MORE!!! HERE'S A LOT MORE FREE STUFF!!!! PLEASE PLAY OUR GAME!"
And it's way more rewarding when you summon this way, because they give you a fair bit every time to get you one of those multi summons or close to it that guarantees a high ranking character
Which tbh is all I'm here for
