Hanhawk!Sanji with the crew after he joins. Drawing fish between cooking and taking care of the chores. He starts dating Luffy(of course he does) and they keep it to themselves mostly because the Merry is small and he isn't exactly keen on someone walking in on them. He draws his crew on lazy days and the dishes he makes. The fish and animals he finds. His mom got him into drawing for a good reason so he's going to use it by God.
Sanji enjoying his new friends and being around people his age, even if the mossball makes him frustrated. Everything is still going according to Canon and Sanji knows the two who raised him are from the new world and spent enough time there to not be surprised at what's happening, also they're warlords so like, it's normal. For them it's normal. Sanji knows how to use haki and does, especially when it comes to finding Zoro, his armament can be hit or miss depending on if he remembers it.
Then Sabaody happens and Sanji reads the news about his parents helping Luffy and while he's thankful, he is so fucking thankful. But it was supposed to be the crew. It was supposed to be him. He already has that feeling of being a disappointment for a lot of reasons(giving up swords, his parents not being together because of him, Germa, Judge) so this just compounds on it. He just vows to get stronger and be there in the future. So he does. He learns to skywalk and the attack cuisine and goes through the bridal arts training. He gets stronger and taller.
The crew reunites and still everything is the same. Luffy still loves the idea of sneaking around because it's like playing spies despite the fact they could go sleep in his room. They could do a lot of things in his room. Luffy just loves playing spies too much and Sanji is absolutely weak for the captain. Still everything is normal for the crew as they continue on.
When WCI happens Luffy convinces Nami to marry him and Sanji as they sale to Wano. She's confused, very confused but does it. Sanji then explains to her they've been together since he basically joined the crew and they weren't necessarily hiding it but the Merry was so small and Luffy loves sneaking around like it's a game so they just kept going like that. Sanji thanks her by making her favorite treat and she smiles happily.
Wano happens and Sanji wonders as they leave if his parents are looking at his bounty and wonder why it's not as high as the others and why his last name is back to 'Vinsmoke' when it should be either Mihawk or Hancock. The crew bids their goodbyes to the other crews as they sail on. Eventually they're teaming with the Cross Guild on Karai Bari and while Boa isn't on the poster she is there. After she got away from the Marines and Teach and that whole thing anyway, after the dissolution of the warlord system.
Boa is swooning for Luffy when they arrive and Mihawk is hiding his annoyance but Sanji is rolling his eyes. They're negotiating their attack on Teach and what they could provide to each other to come to an agreement when Usopp looks at Luffy and his whining that he's bored and just wants to fight.
"What is your future spouse going to do with you?" Usopp sighs.
"Future pouts?" Luffy ask.
"'Spouse', like husband or wife." Chopper clarifies.
"I'm already married?" Luffy answers in a questioning tone.
"You never told anyone because you're you, Luffy." Nami sighs.
"Oh, woops." Luffy laughs as Sanji sighs.
"That's also my fault, I assumed he would tell everyone because he's Luffy." Sanji explains as the meeting room goes ballistic. Luffy laughs as he climbs Sanji and Mihawk looks to Boa.
"Well now that you're both married you can stop acting like that." Mihawk chides his wife.
"Are we not going to talk about the fact our son is married?" Boa asks him incredulously.
"I think we need to have several conversations with our son and his newfound husband and their crew." Mihawk answers as he stacks the paperwork and Crocodile joins into the chaotic yelling at the new information, Buggy leans back in his chair and stares at the ceiling.
"That's what you were talking about Marineford." The clown says blankly as the chaos rages on.

@chatcambrioleur asked: - 🧡🍊hold my muse’s hand to stop them from leaving hand touching meme!
Tumblr media
It’s the night before they set sail from Wano and despite his instinct to just leave without making it a big deal Law found himself seeking out Nami to give her a goodbye that will be very different to the flippant ‘good fucking riddance’ he’s planning to give the Straw Hats when the Tang set sails. He’s careful to get her alone, to pull her away from the rest of her crew and any eyes that might be watching them. And yet, of course, he’s still kinda flippant. Never been good at this sort of goodbye shit. Not when he cares when he’s not supposed to.
“Just lettin’ you know, we’re setting sail early tomorrow morning,” he says, arms crossed and posture casual. “So, if you wanna say goodbye to Bepo or Ikkaku tonight would be the best time.”
That’s enough, isn’t it? Just worry about the two other Hearts she’s got the closest to. After all, their thing is supposed to be no attachment. Just the physical pleasure of it and maybe that appreciation of working quietly together, right? Yeah, best not to think about the relief he felt when he saw Nami still alive after the battle on Onigashima. Nor, should he consider this desire in himself to pull her into a hug and not let go for what could be too long. Better not acknowledge the small voice in the back of his head that says this could be the last time he sees Nami.
“Right. All I wanted to say. I’ll let you get back to your crew,” Law adds, somehow not sounding as awkward as he feels. Law’s arms unwind from his chest and he turns to walk away, but he only gets a step before a warm hand envelops his. Her delicate fingers wrap around his calloused palm and she holds on tight. He pauses, turning to look at that touch and finding his own fingers wrapping around Nami’s hand. He looks up at her face and what he sees there makes him go ridged.
“What’s with the sad kitten look, Nami?” he says, head tilting and voice going soft. Even those cold, golden eyes seem to soften.

One Piece 1056 Review:
Good to know that the Scabbards survived Green Bull’s attack. Also that Kin’emon got to reunite with his wife again, and that she is okay. And apparently Carrot is going to be a ruler in her own right, now? Which is cool, but also means that she definitely won’t be joining the Straw Hats, unfortunately. …Also, how is she supposed to get back to Zou? Zunesha left already!
Oh, and it looks like Sukiyaki decided to reveal himself to his grandchildren after all! That’s nice. And I’m glad Momo and Hiyori took it well. …Wonder if this means they’ll adopt Tama as their little sister?
Franky straight up asking Luffy if he wants Pluton is hilarious. Especially if we take this to mean that he’s offering to build a new one via having memorized those blueprints pre-burning, rather than to take the one Wano has. Also, it is really relieving to see Robin back among the rest of the Straw Hats, considering that she is still very much a target at the moment.
Luffy offering Tama to join his crew in the future (sort of) is cute. The fact that Caribou was listening in was not, especially since he now knows the whereabouts of both Pluton and Poseidon.
Oh, looks like the Straw Hats are leaving Momo without a goodbye… understandable, but also sad.
Luffy fighting with Kidd and Law about who gets to leave and via what route is hilarious. And, Law, you may be rivals, but that doesn’t stop you from being Luffy’s friend! There is no escape. But at least they were all mostly amicable when it came to picking their routes. And Luffy actually listened to one of Law’s plans, for once! Him trying to pull rank as emperor after losing was pretty funny, though.
…There has got to be more to the story to Hawkeye apparently having joined up with Buggy. Perhaps it was a pragmatism thing, since the Warlord position no longer exists? Crocodile… eh, I could see it. The guy is probably planning something. Maybe Mihawk joined because he technically used to be Crocodile’s coworker way back when? Them issuing bounties to marines is hilarious, though. I wonder where they’re going to get the funding from? Or maybe it’s a case of “bring us their heads and you get prestige points as well as whatever was on their naval ship at the time you took them out?” Though I wonder if they’re going to have a “dead or alive” policy as well.
Nice to see them all sharing poneglyph info. Makes for a better rivalry, I suppose. Though I wonder if he gave him the transcribed version, or just a copy of the rubbing.
I wonder why Yamato waited so long to go after them… I thought his mind had already been made up? Maybe he was debating his decision again after the whole Green Bull thing…
I can’t remember if there’s a break next week or not. I think maybe there is? Mostly because Film Red is supposed to come out this weekend. Speaking of which—I wonder if the little song Uta was working on in the bonus comic referred to Shanks or to Luffy…
Too bad I don't have a way to watch it where I am... hopefully Tekking or someone will do a video about it after it comes out, so I can at least get the gist of what's happening.
Though based on the most recent trailer I saw, it's getting less clear whether or not Uta is actually the "villain" of the movie. At the very least, she seems like a reluctant one where Luffy is concerned.
Also, it looks like Luffy did that thing again where he just blurts out important secrets after managing to actually keep them secrets for quite a long time. Though who knows whether or not in the movie he actually broadcasts that info to anyone outside his crew. And also probably Law.

(VERY LONG) ONE PIECE OC RAMBLE!!!!
pirate timeline: wyvern pirates (0-12) → beast pirates (12-20) → quit piracy (21-25) → straw hat ally (25-27)
relationships: siso & king | siso & yamato | siso & zoro
Tumblr media
siso was king's favorite, even before she became tobiroppo
he found them very similar to each other, him being the last lunarian and her being the only (known) sea deity of her kind
they had a mentor-mentee relationship! king watched her grow up
siso bore no ill will against him after she defected. this is one-sided, unfortunately
he was the one who trained her in close range combat. kaido didn't order him to, he took it upon himself
(this did gave zoro an automatic upper hand against king in their battle though, because siso's fighting style is similar to his)
she was supposed to be an all-star, right next to king and queen
every time kaido offered, she would refuse and use those offers as: a) opportunities to bully and make jack feel inferior to her and b) show off how humble she is to lesser ranked officers
her actual reason, though? to be an all-star meant even lesser time to be with yamato, her only real friend. being part of the tobiroppo already required her to be on oversea missions a lot. if she took the offer yamato would be all alone
siso was the only tobiroppo to have never pillaged wano, even ordering her underlings to do the same
yeah she's pillaged any other place, just not wano. reason being yamato said not to ruin oden's home and she went Whatever U Say Handsome ♡
"okay, but—what difference would it make if my lackies and i stopped?" "if i could get people to leave wano alone, it'd start with you! then your subordinates! someday, they'll all stop, and wano's borders will open again!"
siso and yamato are each other's safe spaces ^_^ yamato considers her the love of his life and siso would do absolutely anything to make him happy
they are best friends first, lovers second
their relationship is very far from perfect though; it hit rock bottom the weeks before siso defected and only 5 years later were they able to clear things up and start to heal from their mistakes
siso felt upset at yamato's reluctance to escape, perceiving it as him being insincere
like, all bark, no bite—he ranted and ranted about how much he wanted to be like oden and sail out but when she offered to break his shackles he backed away? made a million different excuses? avoided her?
even worse, yamato always made it sound like he was still loyal to kaido, which pissed her off even moee
meanwhile, yamato was upset at siso because during the months leading up to her defection he could not recognize nor distinguish her from the others
he felt angry and betrayed—she knew how to shed off the mask of callous indifference she puts on around others and be herself around him, but now she can't? how dare she not live up to her word? how dare she treat him the same as lower scum?
he knew that siso discards and leaves anything/anyone that doesn't satisfy her needs and wants. he knew she never hesitates to put herself first, and that deep-seated fear of being abandoned made him lash out violently many times
that little voice in his head repeated, again and again: if siso helps you escape, she'll take you out to sea and leave you stranded. you've hurt her too much: no one will come back for you.
that's why, when siso defected and was forced to fight off hordes and officers who all wanted her head, yamato clamped his jaw and ran far, far away....
only when she was deep underwater, escaping successfully, did he scream at the waves his goodbye, unsure if he'd ever see her again. if she'd come back for him.
she did, of course, 5 years later, and by that time any and all resentment they held for each other was replaced by pure yearning. they've both changed for the better, and they snuck away, finally reunited
(the reason why siso couldn't come back any earlier than 5 years was her overwhelming shame for what she said, and simply because her time in onigashima was traumatizing, no matter how hard she denies it)
when siso first met the straw hats, it was in thriller bark. something about the florian triangle had pulled her in and enticed her to explore the place, disguising herself as a zombie
yes, her first encounter involved lots of screaming from the coward trio, a flustered sanji, and a very confused zoro
(did she know luffy was a god in disguise, even before he himself knew? possibly!)
the same way she had a hunch zoro was more than just a bounty hunter in their first encounter years ago
either way, siso had high (unsaid) expectations of luffy: he will become king of the pirates and be the first devil fruit user to not be hated by the sea. she'd make sure of that.
she never believed that kaido, her captain for 8 years, would claim that title. yet she wholeheartedly believes that the boy she met hours ago, wearing a straw hat and jorts that hasn't been washed in a week, would
it's the Luffy Effect™
zoro and siso met once in those 5 years, when he was still a teenage bounty hunter and she was learning east blue culture and cuisine
the grim reaper, who lived in the blade of wado ichimonji, told him something wasn't right with her. she wasn't a mere 'fishman'.
when siso left, he got a strange feeling they're gonna meet again someday, during a time when his life may come at a crossroads
and boy. teenage zoro was Right!
keep in mind siso just watched the straw hats fight kuma. she sat there, unhelpful, and observed. not out of sadistic amusement, but of genuine curiosity
bafflement too, wondering how the hell did they get that far without knowing a single thing about haki
when everyone else got up and prepared to fight, she stayed sat. when the warlord asked for luffy's head, she sneered like the rest of them. when they all got blasted away by his attacks, she took it as an opportunity to sneak away and watch from a higher, safer surface
she wasn't scared (growing up in the grand line and working for kaido eliminated general Fear) but she was scared that not everyone would come out the battle alive
when THAT Scene happened, that's when it clicked for siso, that zoro and his crewmates were the real deal. and that yamato was right in putting his faith into luffy, a pirate he never met and only knew through ace's stories
siso talked to kuma just before he was about to leave. asked him his business, and if he knew anything about ace's whereabouts (for yamato's sake) and to her shock: he acknowledged her otherness, told her that he's headed for sabaody, that ace "has been tangled up with the marines for a while". nothing more, nothing less
yes she told the straw hats they'd be seeing the warlord again in sabaody, told luffy ace's status (he waves it off as "typical ace business") (☹️), but kept shut about her true nature/goal.....
no that didn't stop them from being Poofed but at least they were a little more prepared to see kuma again!

The Apologies
(Story Post)
“This wasn’t supposed to happen like this…” Dax tried talking to Nathan as they drove back to the airport. Several more APID agents were escorting them now after the thunderbird incident and they were much less friendly than Hanover, though he was still among them. They treated it similarly to a police investigation, getting Nathan's statement on the way to Kent’s, and then grilling Dax on the way out. Dax had a feeling they didn't actually believe him when he explained that he lost consciousness and couldn’t remember everything, but all he could do was recount the events of the night before as he remembered them. A few agents stayed behind to try to get a statement from Kent, but this would likely prove futile with his stubbornness, and potentially dangerous if the bear man wasn't just posturing. “I only came along to support you, you know that, right?” Dax continued, as he sat opposite Nathan. “There was absolutely no intent in what happened…”
“Of course not, I'm not stupid,” Nathan finally said after being silent since the moment they got in. “You can stop apologising.” Dax sighed. “So…are we alright, then?” he probed. Nathan knit his brow, making eye contact with Dax. “No, we're not alright. How can any of this be alright?” “But—” “You've explained it all and I understand, for the most part, but you know, I can’t just let it go,” Nathan said. “It still fucking happened. You still had sex with Kent.” Dax swallowed and looked down. “…Yeah. You're right… So, what now?” Nathan hesitated. He took his phone out and flipped through his own photos of his kids. He paused on one with the two of them curled up with Dax for a nap, both human. His heart sank. “…I think I need a few days.” Dax deflated a bit. “…Yeah?” “Yeah… Maybe, just a week?” Nathan said. “I need time to collect my thoughts… Organise some stuff. Prepare the twins for next weekend.” Dax sighed. “Okay… And next weekend. Just you and the kids up here?” Nathan pursed his lips. “Probably…” Dax nodded solemnly. “Alright. I can accept that... I'll leave it up to you, you know, whenever you're comfortable to talk, if ever…” Nathan shook his head. “We'll talk…” He paused. “I care about you a lot, you know... Like, Christ, you've been a godsend through the last 6 months…” He rubbed his own arm. “I don't want to lose you, I'm just not sure how to feel right now…” “Yeah. Yeah, I get that.” Dax rubbed his knees. “I understand…” “You can spend some time with Orpheus now.” “Right,” Dax chuckled sadly. “I've been a bit of a bad bird dad, haven't I? Hopefully Samara hasn't killed her...” Nathan just nodded and continued to scroll and swipe aimlessly through his phone. Dax leaned back in his chair and pulled out his own phone. He couldn't bring himself to open any apps or anything and he just locked it again. “…So,” he attempted. “Are you going to be alright this week with the twins? And Wano?” Nathan stopped swiping. “I think Wano will stay at APID. I don't think I can keep him with me anymore… Love him like my own son, but if he’s going to behave like he has been, I can't keep him around.” “Right… Probably for the best.” “And if I can't handle my own kids on my own, should I really be a parent?” Nathan asked rhetorically. “I mean, everyone needs help every once in a while…” “If I do, you know, I'll figure it out… Maybe Korsgaard and Camilo will help.” “For sure.” “We just…have to stay rational about it,” Nathan added. “…I think you should see a doctor at APID. Get a second opinion about yesterday.” “…You think my fever had something to do with all this?” Dax asked. “Maybe… I imagine Syd’s the one to really ask.” Dax nodded. “If there's a physiological explanation for what happened yesterday, I'd like to hear it...” “You can let me know if they have something for you.” “Alright...” Nathan frowned as he watched Dax hang his head. “I should tell you something too.” Dax looked up. “...Yes?” Nathan rubbed his neck. “I, um... I kissed Kent yesterday.” Dax blinked. “Oh.” He looked down trying to process it. “I mean, alright... That's not sleeping with him so obviously, you know, alright, I guess...” Nathan shook his head. “It's not really alright... I mean, it was intentional.” Dax shook his head quickly. “...I don't understand... When? Why?” Nathan sighed. “After you'd gone inside with a fever... We talked about him and he said some surprisingly nice things to me... He explained how he imagined that when he saw me again, if I had the kids, he'd want us to come live with him as a family. But he was disappointed, because—” “Because I'm here,” Dax finished. “Yeah.” “Right, didn't I say that?” Dax chuckled morosely. “But how does that lead to you kissing?” Nathan shook his head. “I don't know, I guess I was a bit moved... I felt bad for him. The kiss was...just a gift, I guess.” “...Uh, kind of a cruel gift, don't you think?” Dax said. Nathan frowned. “How?” “Well, you were leading him on,” Dax said. “You don't just kiss someone who doesn't have a chance with you.” Nathan frowned. “It was just a kiss. He knows where we stand. And you fucked him.” Dax sighed. “Right. But what’s worse, intentionally kissing someone or unintentionally sleeping with them?” “Are you kidding? Sleeping with them, obviously!” Nathan said. “No, you're right, that sounded really bad coming out...” Dax said, leaning back and covering his face. The van divider stutteringly slid open and Hanover peeked his head in. “Hey guys, I'm sorry I should've mentioned this earlier, but this partition has been a bit busted for a while and isn't 100% soundproof, so you know...” “You were listening this whole time?” Nathan growled. “Well, not, like, on purpose...” Hanover said sheepishly. “Anyway, no judgment here. Just thought I'd let you know the state of your privacy...” “Right. Maybe let us know before we start driving.” “Definitely a note for next time. I'll leave you to it.” The divider stuttered closed again. Nathan let out an exasperated sigh and then pulled out his phone to send a text. Dax jumped a little when his phone vibrated. He read the text.
‘I'm sorry I kissed Kent.’
Dax sighed and texted back.
‘Thanks. I'm not really that upset about it... It’s all complicated.’
Nathan read it and leaned back in his seat. “This is all so stupid...” Dax nodded. “I know. I'm sorry.” Nathan just shook his head and went silent. They arrived at the airport not long after to finally go home. When the plane landed, an APID town car was waiting to take them wherever they needed to go. The first stop was Korsgaard’s house to pick up the twins. Dax wanted to be there for that so he could see them again before they took their break for the week. Korsgaard said the kids behaved, and his daughter was going to miss having them over. Nathan thanked him and gifted him a bottle of whiskey they had picked up on their outing the day before. Korsgaard thanked him and let Maya say goodbye to the babies before they left. After the pickup, the next stop was Nathan’s house. Dax had left his car in the driveway, so he got out with them there to switch vehicles. He didn’t have anything left in the house of much importance, so he didn’t come inside. He simply gave the twins each a kiss on the forehead before going on his way. Nathan went inside, but he waited until Dax’s car turned the corner before doing anything. He took the kids out of their carrier and set them in their play pen before setting up his laptop for their video call with Kent.
