I was tagged by my buddy @phoenixfangs so lets goooo
Are you named after anyone? I've heard this story a buncha times so I'm pretty sure my mom got my birth name from a singer. She heard it on tv and liked it a lot, back then it wasn't a very common name in my country. My names as of now are 50/50, Tom didn't come from anyone but Teddie was 100% something I picked up from Teddie p4, hahah.
When was the last time you cried? Last Sunday when I rewatched ep 11 of Bucchigiri. especially during the part where Zabu got the absolute shit beaten out of him. Finn came home right after that and doesn't understand that one of the big points of media is to reach you emotionally, so he thought it was weird that I was crying.
Do you have kids? Nah, but I'd like to some day, if fate allows it.
Do you use sarcasm a lot? Not nearly as much as I used to, because most of my friends are autistic and don't get it most of the time, so I just end up upsetting them whenever I do use it. Being sincere is much more fun anyways.
What sports do you play? None, but I would love to swim or ice skate (or, hell, do some skiing). Neither are really possible for me atm, unfortunately (do you have any idea how expensive skiing is btw. it's crazy). When I was a kid I did gymnastics and streetdance, I also played tennis briefly as a teen, but had to quit due to a lack of people in my age group playing at that club.
What’s the first thing you notice about people? I usually take note of how someone dresses and does their hair. Ever notice how dull most people's clothes are? I like seeing styles that stand out.
What’s your eye colour? Brown, it's not a particularly dark shade, but I wouldn't call it hazel (my dad has hazel eyes though).
Scary movies or happy endings? This ones a little... vague? But I guess if I had to choose... I wouldn't. I don't care about genre or what type of emotional impact it has, as long as it's coherent and entertaining in its own right. (That doesn't mean I don't care about quality btw. I literally just. watch anything and judge it for what it is.)
Any special talents? I'm a boss at packing in groceries quickly and efficiently. Not a talent that everyone possesses, I've learned (sorry Minke <3).
Where were you born? Netherlands babeyyy ✌ North-Holland to be a bit more precise. I lived next to a dyke (not that kind) so I got the real under-sea-level experience. I still live around the area but not in my hometown anymore.
What are your hobbies? Drawing, (writing?), translation and the nuances that come with it, watching movies, tv shows, animes, cartoons, playing video games, reading books, comics and manga. (and then talking about cinematography, parallels, themes, symbolism and the likes) I also collect soda cans (+ the occasional glass bottle), candy packaging, and anime figurines + other merch.
Do you have any pets? My little baby Jody (dog) who I've had since I was 7 years old! She's about to have her sweet 16 on the 23rd (that's in 2 weeks!) she's getting blind and deaf as hell but she's still lively and sweet as ever <3 And my sweet Tiger of course, who's of undetermined age (around 8/9 the vet said) and currently living with my good friend Minke and their 2 other cats (he does not like them) and dog (he is ok with her). He's not with me rn because my mom's bf is allergic, unfortunately.
How tall are you? 1 meter 59. that single centimeter haunts me. I would've also preferred an additional 10 as well.
Favourite subject in school? Art history used to my favourite in high school, and when I was in film school for a brief period I loved film history. I just love anything pertaining to the arts and it's history that involves analysing and comparing it to other time periods, really.
Dream job? I wanna be someone's househusband and make a buncha weird art on the side. Not kidding btw. But if I had to choose a more conventional dream job... it had to be something in the creative or design industry, otherwise I'll probably die of unhappiness.
tageroonie @kuwupikaa @sunflowermews @xrd @isleofair @spunktrumpetsasara and uhhh other mutuals who feel inclined to do this 👉👈

KinnPorsche
On April 2nd lives changed, we finally got KinnPorsche after almost 2 years of wait. At that point episode 14 seemed like a dream so far away and today as I write this I am forced to think where did 3 months exactly go. In these three months I have seen this fandom grow leaps and bounds. The tag alone on tumblr has come from 4k to 40k.
These 3 months I have witnessed one of the best made Thai dramas not just in terms of being BL but in general. The production value, the acting, the screenplay, the cinematography have been nothing but chef’s kiss. I am neither a film major nor do I know details or intricacies of filming but the stage KinnPorsche was and how far it has come and the roar it has caused across the globe is result of the hard work the entire team has put hence I don’t wish to complain even if I wanted something else or wanted something more or felt I wish they had shown this too. To critique is one thing, to complain is another at least for me.
Special thanks to Mile because man you need guts to invest a figuratively large sum and dive into something you are doing for the first time alone on the feeling that this is something good and will work. No wonder you’re a businessman.
I have seen a lot of complaints and negativity too but honestly I wonder if its worth to crib over if the other option was that I never would have gotten the series. Hence I don’t really care that much about small loopholes or if someone feels the story is that or the character should have done something else. At this point I would love if I had episode of them eating so really it doesn’t matter to me.
KinnPorsche has set a standard not easy to match much less surpass, of course there will come a time where some show will be at the same level or above but I don’t really see it happening soon at least if there is an independent production (not taking into account Netflix because they have money money).
KinnPorsche not only introduced me to these wonderful actors but also how kind the people are in real life. Mile and Apo are truly the definition of, “Why should I lower my standards when such men exist”. I have come to appreciate little details of scenes and how so many small things add up to large intentions. The metas have not only opened my eyes and expanded my vocabulary but also allowed me to view the content in such a different way than before. It has helped me appreciate how much work gets put into every scene and when every cent is being counted how much more important it becomes.
KinnPorsche is a fandom that even with tonight’s episode has fair share of content coming through in the upcoming months. Things will slow down yes but I I am fairly certain those who have enjoyed the series will stick maybe little less active but definitely here for whenever this fandom needs backing and support.
I have so many more thoughts but for now that’s all I can type without getting emotional so, Lastly, I am grateful for those who followed me in these last few months, appreciated my thoughts and were riding alongside this roller coaster. Let’s end it on high note and hope for the new announcements and content to come through. For now it is the last KINNPORSCHEDAY!!!!!!!!!

@wizardysseus tagged me to do my ten favorite movies. ty! 💕i've done top movie lists a couple of times and to be honest my picks never really change or become more interesting, so i put my own little spin on it and decided to do my ten favorite films that i either watched or rewatched in the past year. (ish. i wasn't super strict about if it was exactly within the last 12 months.)
in no particular order...
ten favorite movies i watched within the last year
1. a girl walks home alone at night (2014): as one or two of you may have noticed, i got really into iwtv last year, and so i decided to expand my horizons and make an effort to watch more vampire films to get more familiar with the genre/lore. this was the first film i watched and it was a great introduction. the visuals and music were captivating. skater vampire girl you will forever be in my heart.
2. let the right one in (2008): this one has been on my to watch list for ages, and i finally got around to it thanks to my vampire kick. i have to say it did not disappoint. the story, the cinematography, the performances... all were top tier. the bond between the two leads was fascinating, and it's a great monstrous love story.
3. tàr (2022): i hadn't planned on seeing this one - i find cate blanchett tiresome a lot of the time (still defending woody allen in the year of our lord 2018!) - but i heard some pretty rave reviews by folks whose opinions i generally agree with, so i decided to give it a try. and i think it had a very fascinating script. i really appreciate a story with a lot of ambiguity to it, where you can have several strong interpretations of what's happening that are rooted in the text, and this film definitely has that in spades.
4. nope (2022): the fact this got no love during award season has me scratching my head. while it's not my favorite jordan peele project, the story was very fresh and keke palmer in particular i thought gave a really stellar performance. my main hang-up was with the monster... the non spoiler version being i just found some aspects of it didn't really work for me. but it was still a very solid film.
5. blade runner (1982): i watched this with some co-workers at the place i interned for the summer; we got a giant projector and got to watch it after-hours at the library where we we working and basically take up half a floor with snacks and such. so part of my enjoyment just comes from the fact it's linked in my mind to a nice day that i had. but as a sci-fi fan it was neat to see something so influential to the genre and see how much it had been drawn on. the treatment of the female characters left much to be desired lol, but the grimy future visuals were great, and i can see why it became so iconic.
6. the batman (2022): a superhero movie with actual cinematography, memorable performances, and a killer soundtrack? in this economy??? obviously i'm biased, i'm a huge batman fan and i enjoy robert pattinson, so i'm not exactly the hardest audience member to win over. but there have been so many terrible superhero movies in the past several years, and so seeing one that felt like an actual noir detective story and not just a bunch of quips in front of a greenscreen was a relief. the cast was great, and as a batcat fan it was really great to feel like i was actually being catered to with all focus on their relationship both in the film and all the promotional stuff like the photo-shoots and such. not normally the case in this genre lol.
7. everything everywhere all at once (2022): i don't know that i have anything to say about this movie that hasn't already been said better. it's fun, it's out of the box, michelle yeoh is a treasure, it does a lot with the multi-verse concept. i will say at times the film did feel a bit saccharine, particularly towards the end. ymmv when it comes to sappiness, but it overdid it for me. even so, it was a good time, and i'm very happy for attention it's brought michelle yeoh, who is so phenomenal.
8. turning red (2022): i watched this on a whim after seeing some folks online talking about it, and it was very cute. it reminded me a lot of what it was like to be a weird middle school girl. i don't really feel nostalgic for that part of my life at all, but this did have me thinking of my past self with some affection.
9. coded bias (2020): i believe i watched this after a discussion in a grad school class about racial bias in ai/algorithms. i enjoy a good documentary and found the film quite interesting and informative.
10. eternal sunshine of the spotless mind (2004): this one is one of my all-time favorites. i watched it again not long ago and it really holds up. i love non-linear storytelling and playing with the subjective/fallibility of memory, so this film is really just right in my wheelhouse. thanks to sailor moon, i also am obsessed with stories about whether the same people will fall in love again if they don't have their memories, so again. like catnip to me. the circular nature of the story, the way love is futile in this never ending circular story but still worth fighting for. i will be thinking about this one forever

10 Ten Movies I Love:
I never do these, but I was tagged by @film-in-my-soul, so I gotta. They’re not in any particular order.
1. Atonement (2007)
Tumblr media
This movie absolutely wrecked me when I first watched it, and whenever I need a good cry, this is my go-to. I loved everything about it, the cinematography (that tracking shot on the beach was absolutely gorgeous), the acting, the romance, the story, the everything.
2. Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
Tumblr media
The way this movie gripped me by the balls and still hasn't let go is telling. I've watched it an ungodly amount of times and it only came out last summer.
3. Arrival (2015)
Tumblr media
I immediately went back to the theater to rewatch this because it was just so gripping. I thought it was one of the freshest takes on aliens I'd seen in a while, and I loved the thriller aspect to it even though it wasn't scary. I loved the chemistry between the actors, and the story itself was so beautiful.
4. Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
Tumblr media
This is the obvious one. It's got Steve. It's got Bucky. It's got Natasha. It's got Sam. It's a political thriller. It wasn't under pressure to adhere to the MCU bullcrap so it was actually excellent. What more could you want. (Oh, and it had the elevator scene).
5. Twister (1996)
Tumblr media
Yeah, it's campy, it's silly, but it remains such a comfort classic. I watch it pretty much yearly. I loved the soundtrack, I loved the exes-to-lovers, and I love the disaster.
7. Rogue One (2016)
Tumblr media
For some reason, every single time I watch this movie, I like it even more than the last. I find new things to enjoy and appreciate, and nothing can match K2SO.
8. Prince of Egypt (1998)
Tumblr media
I watch this yearly with my cousin, as per tradition demands. I may not care for religion itself, but goddammit if this isn't one of most beautiful films in existence. The fact that multiple leaders from various faiths were consulted to make sure it was as accurate as possible brings me so much joy. And the cast. And the music. To this day I still get chills from listening to the soundtrack.
9. Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron (2002)
Tumblr media
Fuck it, I'm adding Spirit here too. It's my childhood. I love horses. Another one where the soundtrack brings me chills and to tears. The story is so hopeful and beautiful, and fucking Matt Damon is the narrator. Love it.
10. Titanic (1997)
Tumblr media
I'm basic. Sue me. As you can tell, I'm a sucker for music, and this one hits right in the feels.
There's so many more, it's hard to choose!
And now I gotta drag others into this, soooo tagging @renai-chan, @icemav86, @peppermintwhisp, and @scienceiswickedcool.

would u help me out for a second. im in the mood to write for the first time, and i think your style is beautiful. sitting down n actually trying though, im stuck as fuck! i’m realizing that in your dialogue/scenes you’ve got a lot of Little Things. little tiny elements that are subtle & just enough. how are you deciding that lily is building a house of cards at the moment or sirius is sitting in a tree or whatever during a given scene? how do you come up with those ideas for dialogue that are so silly & real & sneakily tender? do you know where it’s going when you begin? any advice for just… starting something?
ps: i appreciate you. you make it look easy & that’s very very cool
This is a lovely question!! Sorry it took me so long to get to it, I didn’t want to get it wrong. Also I’ve included some examples to try and explain what I mean in practise, but it also comes off rather like plugging. tragically this is unavoidable. Anyway, all that being said I have no idea how to advise you about dialogue and coming up with it, I think just listening to people talk helps. Don’t forget contractions, and when in doubt always trust the reader to keep up, real people don’t say perfect or even grammatically correct sentences a lot of the time. We also cut each other off all the time, especially when we’re trying to be funny. Like, here’s an example from warm front:
“He’s not even two. He probably would have thought it was, like, having a lie down or something.”
Harry was laughing now, “A lie down?”
“Yeah, a spontaneous, truck-induced–“
“–Permanent–“ “
–Permanent, lie-down. I’m almost jealous now actually.”
Another thing, but people say um and like or can't speak or cut themselves off, especially when they’re nervous. James when Lily says she loves him for the first time: ‘“Wow,” He breathed, “I’m– wow.” He put both hands on her cheeks and kissed her crazy, abruptly, dumbly. Her head spun.’ He can’t even speak! Dumb boy.
I think natural dialogue sometimes just requires you to read it aloud, which is very embarrassing but ultimately quite useful in trying to figure out whether something sounds normal or not. Use casual words, and try not to go dictionary hunting: if you cant think of the word chances are your character can’t either
In terms of concepts I have no idea, but I do have a few tips. I write all my short one-shots in one document (its called ‘just bad’ lmao) so its easy to start something, write a few lines, and then if it doesnt work just start a new concept, but still have all the old stuff handy. if you feel like you’ve written yourself into a corner its probably because you took a wrong turn earlier, so its just a matter of going back up and figuring out where you turned onto the dead end, or where a line could be funnier and/or sadder and/or more meaningful. Sometimes the bare bones of a decent line is there but you have to work it a little.
In this harry/ginny thing where harry is apologising for all the attention and ginny brushes him off she says:
“It’s nothing,” her voice, all force, “Anyway, it’s more funny than annoying.”
The response went through a few drafts, all variations on the same thing:
(1) “You’re funnier.” [too short, doesn’t make sense, and not really that funny. unholy trinity]
(2) “You make it funny.” Harry said, looking at her for real, “It’s not– you make it like that.” [this could work! I have no idea why I cut this, I think I forgot abt it lmao]
(3) “You’re the funniest person I know, Harry said, sincerely, and Ginny felt her heartbeat all through her, “You make it funny.” [jumping from ‘its more funny than annoying’ to getting this sincere out of nowhere is a little much, even for harry who is famously whipped]
I ended up going with this:
“It’s nothing,” her voice, all force, “Anyway, it’s more funny than annoying.”
“You’re funny.” Harry said, looking at her for real, flustered, “I mean– you make it funny. That’s all you.”
It follows the flow of the conversation and I think the way he says it, ‘you’re funny’ like its obvious, and then being like oh fuck and over-explaining it stumbling a little “I mean– you make it funny. That’s all you.”. You know when you like someone and you say something that gives you away before you can stop yourself? I wanted it to sound like that. Just gotta keep in mind how people behave, we are so stupid a lot of the time, we give ourselves away.
The thing about short stuff i find is implying a lot of history without actually describing a lot of it. I normally do this by having memories come up as almost shards, one second of feeling. You know when you’re in a conversation with someone and they mention someone or a past event, and it rises to the top of your brain, but only for a second? i find sometimes when you’re reading stuff people will try and replay entire memories or events mid-conversation, which is not something you do when you think. You don’t need to replay it beat by beat, you were there! This sounds vague as hell so I’ll try and show you what I mean:
From good crimes: “Petunia is engaged.” Lily’s voice, raw and wrong, “To Vernon. Eliza Hunt told me at the supermarket.” Sudden flashes of Petunia, the only time he’d ever met her, sat in the back of Lily’s twenty-first, pinched and whispering. “Whose Eliza Hunt?” This seems as good a thing to say as any.
pretty on the nose (the phrase ‘sudden flashes’ is pretty so i'll allow it from past me). But see how you don’t need to know how Petunia didnt talk to anyone, how she left early, how she was the odd one out: you don’t need to read all that, you already know because she was sat in the back and because pinched is such a mean verb, spiteful and sharp, you can already imagine how the evening went without me saying so
From my proposal take, after Sirius finds out they’re engaged: Sirius’ grip on his shoulder tightened for one second, still grinning, and James knew what he meant. “I know.” He said, because only Sirius had been there for all of it, when they were fifteen, drunk on Firewhiskey for the first time and James had said I think I’ve fucked it, I think I’ve fucked it but I like her for real.
you don’t need a description of the whole night, what party they were at, who they were with, what they were talking about: the important bit is that Sirius was the first person he told, and that they’re both remembering that at the same moment because they’re soulmates lmao. You know when something big happens for a friend and you feel so full of pride & love that you feel like you’ll burst into confetti?? this needed to feel like that, and you only need a flash for it
I feel like I’ve sort of strayed off from what you asked me, which is really advice on how to start something. I normally start with a line, usually of dialogue, and then try and build from there because dialogue is my thing. You might have a different thing! Some people write from concepts or locations, or an image. i might start with one or a few lines of dialogue, write them down, and then try to build from there. For example for the proposal thing I started from james just saying “Marry me”, which I find more romantic than ‘will you marry me’, purely because it sounds like he simply couldn’t stop himself from saying it, like it rushed out. Another example, this thing started from just “don’t be mad at me” “okay” James agreed instantly, because he is such a sucker for her.
When I write I don’t normally know where I’m going! I normally set out to write something I think is vaguely funny and evokes An Emotion, and then I just play around with stuff until I get there. when I write certain stuff and I have scenes in mind, stuff I want to happen, but I find that if I try to plot it to tightly its not exciting to work on, because sometimes you write a good line by accident, that you hadn’t thought of when you sat down, and you surprise yourself. That is a really nice feeling! i want to maximise that feeling.
'What I mostly try to remember is that writing something down, anything down, is useful. Sometimes you write for a whole night and dont get anything useable, but its like clearing pipes. Sometimes you have to flush through shit to get to the good bits. All the rough stuff, the things you don’t like or didn’t work, you wrote to get you to the stuff that did work. All of the bad shit got you here! It wasn’t a waste, you were working to find the good thing
If I had any tips its just the usual stuff, read! It is annoying how much that helps. Also, and I know this may make you shudder, but reading poetry is useful just because in no other literary or media form is language so important. In comics you have pictures, in novels you have plot and character, in film you all that and cinematography, but in poetry you live and die by how good the words are. If you want recs here’s my poem roundup tag, that I do sometimes, or if you want something just now read this by Anne Carson, which uses words like ‘smashing’, ‘boatwash’, and ‘green’ in the best way possible. Also it has these lines: “Recently having learned to recognize the type of tree called sycamore, / I see them in any forest— / the ones that look harrowed, / in shreds, but / go also / straight up into life,”
I mean, think of a sharper image than that?? It’s not possible. Just try remember to stay true to your characters and that in real life, the little stuff is the big stuff. Little things the people around you do normally show they care more than big speeches, and if you want to show love that’s how to make it feel lived in. You want to build a world! the little stuff is usually the world. Take some from your own or dream the ones you wish you had.
This truly was a very kind message and I’m so grateful you like my stuff, I hope any of this was even half-useful, although now reading it back it is borderline nonsensical. I’m going to bed now, good luck with the writing, and don’t forget to send it to me!!
caro xoxo

So I saw a post on here about how, like, Tumblr The Witcher is different from Netflix The Witcher which is pretty par for the course -- fandom creates its own version of the media it’s centered around in order to better fulfil what the fandom wants out of the media. But @jackironsides made a comment in the tags about how the first episode of the show is very different from subsequent episodes with Jaskier, and that got me thinking. (This is very rambly and disjointed bc I’m not good at this kind of meta but I thought it was cool enough to post lmao)
The storytelling style and cinematography of the witcher changes based off of who's telling the story.
When Geralt's the narrator/narrating character/viewpoint character (I'm not quite sure what to label it tbh), the stories are darker, harsher, less likely to have an unambiguously happy ending, cases in point being the Renfri and striga episodes (ep. 1 and 3): Renfri is a tragedy, the striga is horror, both are shot and filmed in more monochrome color palettes (Blaviken, especially, is primarily blue-grey in color minus occasional bits of bright red, whereat a lot of the Striga episode reminds me of early Supernatural: very very dark, very little color and what there is is again, more monochrome)
Whereas when Jaskier is the viewpoint character, the stories are more along the lines of a traditional adventure story, with a happy(ish) ending and more comedy -- case in point being Posada and the elves (ep. 2): no one dies, the whole episode from his point of view (Yen and Ciri’s sections not included, of course, bc he’s not the one telling their stories) is brightly lit and brightly colored, with a lot of sweeping views of the landscape. The same goes for the first part of the dragon hunt (ep. 6) - brightly lit, more "adventure story" than truly horror-esque or tragic (the one guy who dies does so while having diarrhea which, while dark, is more of a dark comedy than like. the striga), and even the sadder ending is told from his point of view (mountain scene anyone?)
The banquet (ep. 4) is an interesting case because the perspective is a mix of Geralt and Jaskier -- the early part of the banquet is shot and told as though Jaskier is the viewpoint, but the inn and the latter half of the banquet have Geralt as the narrator. It sort of switches between who is most important in a given scene -- as soon as the story shifts from "banquet shenanigans" (arguably a very Jaskier-esque thing to be focusing on) to "Law of Surprise and Ciri" it goes from Jaskier-as-narrator to Geralt-as-narrator.
I dunno what I’m trying to say about this (if I’m trying to say anything at all), but it was just a cool thing that I noticed when I thought about why episode 2 and all episodes with Jaskier are closer to the Tumblr version of the media, and it didn’t just seem to be bc the fandom’s latched onto Jaskier. I haven’t noticed much of this same kind of cinematographic/tonal differences in Yen and Ciri’s storylines, partially because it’s been a while since I watched the show all the way through and partially because it’s a lot more dramatic to see the differences in tone and color and storytelling style between “Geralt fighting Renfri in Blaviken” and “Geralt during the opening djinn scene with Jaskier”.
(if anyone has anything to add please do I’m interested!)
(this is the post that inspired this all, btw)

🍒🌸 Cherry Magic Ask Game 🌸🍒
Thank you @liyazaki for the tag!!
1. Favorite character
Kurosawa! Absolutely. It's quite rare for me to find a second lead character and especially if it's a love interest where I would personally get know and empathize with (that is not just used as a plot device for the MC, like most romances)
2. Character you relate to the most
Maybe a little bit with Kurosawa...
3. Favorite quote from the series
Anything Tsuge texts to Adachi is hilarious and is left on read.
4. Favorite moment in the show
This one's such an underrated scene but I love the bit where Rokkaku takes out all the snacks he bought for Adachi. It is one of THE MOST WHOLESOME THINGS IN THIS SHOW. And Adachi's little laugh towards the end oh my goodness I was ready to combust. It was almost so candid.
5. A character you think is underrated
Urabe actually! Him supporting Adachi for the competition was so sweet.
6. Which character would you absolutely be friends with
Rokkakuuuu omg do you see his off-duty fashion?
7. The moment that you fell in love with the show
The way they shot this scene was when I knew that this was no ordinary jdrama, I'm a fan of good cinematography and how they introduced Kurosawa was so fresh.
Tumblr media
8. Top so-soft-it-might-be-illegal moment
Tumblr media
9. Favorite hands-are-for-the-gays moment
Okay but this and Kurosawa's monologue
Tumblr media
10. Favorite Kurosawa making heart eyes moment
It's like Machida Keita invented acting from this scene alone
Tumblr media
11. Favorite Adachi x Kurosawa moment (i.e. when they invented tenderness)?
The scene where Kurosawa shyly takes Adachi's hand as they walk home from the izakaya and they smile silently to themselves and not at each other.
Tumblr media
12. Favorite friendship moment
Fujisaki and Kurosawa, gosh they are so cute.
13. Favorite overall episode
Episode 5, turning point for sure. How this show portrays/introduces other themes than just the romance.
14. Top LMAO moment
Tumblr media
15. A moment you could live without
Okay so... The Tsugemina kiss scene was a little awkward coz I personally think it's filmed too close? I felt like some changes could be made to make it better.
16. One thing you’d change about the show
I honestly thought that we'd get a firework rooftop kiss.
17. Someone you got to know because of the show or someone whose posts/works you enjoyed seeing in the tags
@sushishorts, @fandomsandbacon, @creativityobsessed, @incandescentflower OH MY GOODNESS AND EVERYONE IN THE DISCORD YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY LOVELY
18. Describe the show in 3 words
THIS. PEAK. ROMANCE.
19. One moment from CM that always stays with you
When we first hear the ost to this scene. Adachi waking up to someone for the first time in his working life and just how everything felt so natural. The sound of cooking, Kurosawa's presence, soft morning light... and then the piano chords started playing.

Steve Rogers x Reader
Warning: Angst, Cheating, Tears
Authors Note: Based on Lemonade by Beyonce. Might add more parts, don’t know. Thanks to @buckysmischief and @thinkoutsidethebex for the listening to me. Some protective Sam and a lil something something.
Sam Wilson had always been good at solving problem, but this time he didn’t know if he could fix this.
He walks into his house going straight to his office waiting for Steve and Bucky to show up he thinks of what he’s gonna tell them.
For the past ten years it had been the three of them writing, producing, and making movies together.
Sam was the executive producer and the manager for all three of them, Bucky was the cinematographer always having an eye for beautiful things, and Steve was the dedication to acting.
They’ve all receive Academy Awards for the film they did three years ago. The Story of Icarus. Which was written by the lovely (Y/N) Stark and directed by her brother. They had been a family ever since, specially after Steve and (Y/N) got married.
Sam stared at the wall lost at the thought of Steve hurting their girl.
Yeah she was their girl, all three of them embraced her, he and Bucky where uncles of baby James, and she was always a big support for the three of them.
They where supposed to film their next movie together in a couple of months where (Y/N) would make her directorial debut with the help of her brother, produced by all of them, and cinematography by Bucky.
And now they had to put together the shambles of their project thanks to Steve.
He hears a knock on the door, and Sam stands up and goes to open it.
He opens the door and sees a tired Steve and an angry Bucky waiting for him. He can still see the bruise where Tony punched him.
Good.
Sam thinks.
He motions them to come in and Bucky rushes through them next Sam, and lastly Steve.
They go to the office and sit down, tension visible around them.
“So,” Sam starts taking a deep breath.
“So?” Bucky asks agitated.
“You are out of the project Steve,” Sam says and both men look at him.
Steve just stares in shock tears falling out of his face.
“What’s going on?” Sam as as Bucky huffs and looks away from Steve.
“Do you want me to tell him or do you?” Bucky ask the anger visible on his face.
Steve takes a deep breath finally looking at both of them.
“Peggy left,” Steve says as his voice breaks.
“So let me get this straight, your destroyed that woman who loved you with all her heart, for a woman that marries and knew didn’t love you, you destroyed your child by very publicly showing off your infidelity, you are being kicked out of a project we’ve been working on for a whole damn year, and the only thing you can think of is PEGGY?” Sam asks incredulous and stands up.
“Leave Steve,” Sam says as he looks at Steve.
“What? You are supposed to be my friends?” He asks in surprise.
“Just because we are your friends doesn’t mean we condone what you did?” Bucky says looking at Steve from the couch.
“What happened Steve?” Sam asks still anger on his voice.
“Peggy said that it was fun, but that it was never gonna be a thing, that she was going back to England, that her husband forgave her,” Steve said with pleading eyes.
“Steve you knew she didn’t love you,” Sam says with determination.
“It was just getting hard with (Y/N), she was trying so hard and I just didn’t feel her,” Steve says.
Both men look shocked.
“You better go Steve and think things over, when you figure it out you can come back, but until then you should stay away.” Sam says looking at him, but Steve evades his eyes.
Steve nods and looks at Bucky who is looking down at the floor trying not to look at Steve, and he walks away leaving a broken friendship behind.
Once the door opens and closes the two friends take a breath.
Sam sits next to Bucky and he sees his friend in deep pain, well secrets never last long, Sam thinks.
“So Steve’s out” Bucky says as he looks up at the celling.
“Yeah we gotta figure out who’s gonna take his place,” Sam sighs.
A smile makes a way to his lips as he looks at Bucky which earns a raised eyebrow from him.
“How about you take over for Steve, you know the script and the concept,” Sam smirks.
“The fuck Wilson,” Bucky says.
Sam takes out his phone and looks at Bucky challenging.
“Hello (Y/N) how are you?” Sam says and Bucky’s eyes grow big as dinner plates.
“That’s good, I was just wondering if you wanna come over, we have things to discuss, I know that is hard, but what better distraction, so just bring James and we’ll order some food,” Sam asks hopefully.
“Cool, see you hun,” he says and hangs up.
“Stupid, you are paying for dinner,” Bucky says as he stands up and goes to the kitchen, Sam only smiles.
Fifteen minutes later you are at Sam’s house and you can hear some Earth, Wind, and Fire playing in the background and as you enter holding James in your arms you smile at the sight.
Bucky and Sam fighting for the control and this makes little James giggle and make grabby hands at them.
Sam is the first one to stand up and picks up little James kissing your cheek.
“Hey boys,” you say as you go sit next to Buck and he hugs you and then you all settle on the couch.
“Hey hun how are you?” Sam asks and Bucky nods.
“As good as it’s gonna get I guess, saw my lawyer today.” You say with a shrug.
“Bu,” James says making grabbing hands at Bucky while babbling at something at Sam to which he nods and James giggles.
Bucky chuckles and picks James up putting him in his lap.
“Hey buddy,” Bucky says and James babbles back getting distracted but Bucky’s shirt.
“Good for you,” Bucky says.
“I feel a freedom now, I still love him, and I know its gonna sound crazy, but now that I know I feel like im ready just to let things go.” You say and smile at your baby and your friends.
“Apparently Peggy went back to England,” Sam says and Bucky looks at him threatening, as threatening as he can with a one year old blonde sunshine patting his cheeks and giggling.
“I’m done with that Sam, I’m not gonna be the crazy or jealous girl that is gonna lose it for him. No one will love him like I have loved him, but I’m done with him I just want to get away from him and enjoy my baby,” You say firmly and proudly and both guys stare at you with pride in their eyes.
“Well we don’t have to worry about finding another actor, Bucky can do it,” sam smiles and you laugh while Bucky glares at him and groans making James make a smilier sound.
Listening to you laugh is wonderful after the hard day and both men couldn’t wait for this to be you forever.
Bucky looks at you, yellow summer dress glowing and he just sighs, what the hell was happening?

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS COMPLETELY MY OPINION ABOUT THE FOLLOWING FEATURES.  I feel the need to say this again because last time too i got a message but x,y,z film has x,y,z issues . I've said it before and i will say it again  It is all a mixed Bag, Mixed Genres, Mixed reasons to suggest them right from the quality to acting to cinematography to story to critical acclaim to some just for PURE ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES.  I makes these lists because I feel these features deserve love and appreciation and because some made me feel Proud and some just for pure entertainment factor .
I’ve Added the Info with the title about where you can watch (save myself a bit of time by not hyperlinking them This time since most of them are on prime and Netflix- pretty Straightforward right) +all features listed have subs
Asuran | Dhanush,Manju Warrier| Tamil [Prime]  : A Must Watch- Fair warning not for the weak Hearted, Has some Very Graphic scenes Dark and Gripping Saga about 2 families at war with each other. Vetrimaran has so smartly Merged the sociopolitical issues in the otherwise revenge story.Easily one of Dhanush’s Best Performances if not his finest yet(it is imo and i urge you all to see this to see how Lower classes are treated. It was the best Film of year 2019 Hands down for me. this one Gave me sleepless nights ,shook me like anything and i still shiver when i think of some of the things that have happened here. IF you want to see a BLOODY GOOD MOVIE watch this one.Manju is equally Fabulous as the grief stricken mother trying to keep her other family members safe.
Thambi|Jyothika, karthi|Tamil[Netflix] :From the Director of Drishyam(the original) An edge of seat thriller about a lost brother and her sister’s quest of finding him with humor and family drama included. After Drishyam another Fab family Thriller, Karthi has done a superb job and has shouldered the film well. i wish there was more Karthi and Jyothika Bonding though, Jyo is Good as always too but this one belongs to karthi
Helan | AnnaBen,Lal| Malayalam[prime}: A very Well done Survival Drama about a girl stuck in a freezer at work place, Major Shoutout to the cinematography and ofcourse anna who’s so vulnerable int he situation yet has this fierceness in her act.
AlaVaikunthapuramloo|Allu Arjun,Tabu,Pooja Hegde| Telugu [netflix] Now this is what you call a complete family entertainer. After ages an allu arjun film which is so enjoyable and entertaining and has an interesting story too. It’s basically about a poor PA switching his child with the Boss’s child and what happens next.My only complaint is why don’t we have more of tabu and Bunny together. full on paisa vasool movie.Heard Karthik aryan is doing remake. plzz are you kidding me with this[so offended]
Sillu Karupatti|tamil| *sara arjun and a bunch of new People lol[Netflix]  Ahhh every story in this compilation of short stories is so real and So Beautiful. This one makes you beleive in Actual Love. Watch it esp for PinkBag(the first story and the 2nd one i forgot the name of)
Varane Avashyamund|Dulquer salmaan, shobana, kalyani priyadarshan|Malayalam[Netflix] This is the one that makes you miss home..leaves you smiling and you don’t realize when you’ve started feeling like you are part of the same apartment complex. again why so little of DQ and shobhana though?:( but yeah if you want to watch a feel Good film watch this one
Kaithi|Karthi|tamil {hotstar}  Kaithi is a tense, impressively shot action thriller It;’s about  A prisoner on parole, who’s on his way to meet his daughter, is enlisted by an injured police officer to protect a few cops. With the entire lot of gangsters in the place after them, can the prisoner save the day? Watch it for some Awesome Action sequences and For Karthi in probably his career best performance. Watch it before bollywood ruins it . i heard they are casting some shit actor for it. so yeah you probably wanna watch it with karthik. i was moved by the father daughter’s bond even though they were strangers to each other
Uyare|parvathy, tovino thomas,Asif Ali|malayalam[netflix]: a poignant tale of courage and survival. Parvathy is On some other High as  pallavi. it’s about an Acid Victim’s determination to be what she wanted to be to find her place in society. Brave Act and a Freaking awesome Movie
Virus|parvathy, tovino thomas, soubin, rima Kallingal|malayalam[prime] This one is quiet relevant in the times of Pandemic too. A film full of compassion  about containing a virus before it ruins too much based  the nippah virus outbreak in kerala recently. Also what An ensemble, Props to asshiq for managing to get that cast on board and then making a brilliant film.
Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal|dulquer salmaan,Ritu Varma|rakshan|tamil[netflix] Two cons fall in love and decide to mend his way and settle down with their girlfriends. But a couple of curve balls, one in the form of a determined cop, are just waiting in store. It works for it’s Twists I Mean  Who expected someof  those twists and Turns?? Watch it for it’s unapologetic nature and Dulquer’s Performance.
Chhapaak|deepika padukone, vikrant massey|Hindi [hotstar] Hah! another Acid Victim survival Film. Yup But this one is Not entirely Fictional. This one is Based on a  real victim. Equally Compelling and Amazing. Deepika is simply At her best as malti.
Thappad[tapsee, pavail gulati, ratna pathak shah|hindi[prime] A Must Must Must Watch. If I want you guys to watch anything on this list for sure it is This and asuran. This one is What you call a film on true feminism Which speaks about Domestic abuse but that’s not it it has underlying themes of Sexism, unequality . i have raved so much about it. it is SUch a strong take  Shown in a rather tender way minus any big lectures yet it’s hardhitting and soul stirring. WATCH IT LADIES
Oh my Kaduvale|Vijay Sethupathy, ashok selvan, ritika singh|tamil[einthusan] it’s a Romatic Fantasy FIlm and again what a twist that was barely have seen a desi fantasy film handled & presented  this well and being his enjoyable. Sweet, simple and feel good. watch for the super fun cameo by Sethupathy hehe
Kombalungi Nights|fahadh faasil, shane nigam, anna ben, soubin saher|Malayalam[prime]  The film revolves around four brothers who share a love-hate relationship with each other. Their relationship progresses to another level when Saji, Boney, and Franky decide to help Bobby stand by his love. I didn’t wanted this one to be over. Experience it i won’t say much caz whatever i say won’t be enough so i’d rather not waste yours or my time hehe.
Don’t forget to tag me or share with me what you think of them if you end up watching. my askbox is always open’ i’d love to hear your thoughts

Thanks to @toddthefoxydog and @sallydoodle for tagging me on this one, and commiserations to the rest of you who now have to put up with my poor choice of movies. Seven eh? Well this is actually a bit harder than I first thought because some of the movies I used to love have not aged particularly well, I first noticed this a couple of years ago when I was rewatching Casino Royale and it just seemed that the editing seemed just a beat off, anyhoo let’s persist shall we?
So Bond movies, there has to be a Bond movie and I am going to choose Diamonds are Forever because as problematic as Bond is, this one featuring Plenty O’Toole (and a story/script by Roahl Dahl) is probably my favourite of all (really people forget about OHMSS, it’s not aged well) While Skyfall is undoubtedly the best of the Daniel Craig efforts and a fine modern thriller.
I’m also going to choose Jaws as my number two film, even now over 40 years on it still never fails to make me jump with the underwater boat sequence and has taken on a new significance as the world has struggled with ‘closing the beaches’ this year. For the record, the mayor is not the hero of this movie. He is an asshole.
My favourite movie of the last few years, and I am unanimous in this, has to be Mission Impossible: Fallout, the plotting is tight, the set pieces are absolutely brilliantly done and it has overtones of some of the best of Michael Mann’s work, especially with the Paris kidnap sequence which echoes the bank robbery/gunfight in Heat.
That’s three right? Ok next stop, Hitchcock. For me that has to be North by Nortwest. Cary Grant at the height of his powers, James Mason as the bad guy and that unforgettable sequence in the cornfield with a crop duster. Brilliant cinematography and of course a throbbing score by Bernard Hermann. Perfect Sunday afternoon viewing.
Musicals? Singing in the Rain. There is a reason this regularly appears in those best of lists, and it’s also given both me and the girl child hours of fun in just shouting at each other “I caaaannn’t staaaanndd it”. And remember kids, dignity, always dignity.
The Fall by Tarsem Singh is one of the most beautiful films I have ever seen. I had the pleasure of seeing this on the big screen a few years ago and if I had a 4k tv it would be one to watch while sitting way to close to. It’s the story of a paralysed stunt man and a little girl he tells stories to while she visits him as they both recover in a hospital in the early days of Hollywood. If you’ve never seen it, it really is worth a look.
One more, and while I’d like to choose something by Christopher Nolan (if I were to it would probably be Inception, although Heath Ledger’s performance in the Dark Knight elevates that movie to another level), but I’m going to choose instead a film about of all things, baseball. Or at least it is on the surface, but really Bull Durham is about much more than that, it’s about life and disappointment and how we deal with that and carry on, and Walt Whitman and double standards and sexuality and basically everything in life. It bears repeated viewing, or at least it did, I haven’t watched it in years, because, well life, but maybe it’s worth a rewatch at some time. I’m sure I could still pretty much recite a lot of the scenes by rote.
There’s a bunch of other stuff I could definitely put in a list, Alien, Aliens, Galaxy Quest, Up, The Incredibles or many of the Pixar movies which are mostly delightful (except Cars which is utter utter shite). Some of David Fincher’s output and maybe even some Kubrick (Barry Lyndon is my favourite) and the original Point Break by Kathryn Bigelow, with Swayze and a young Keanu. No Marvel movies but if there were it would be Captain America: Winter Soldier, because Cap punches Nazis no matter what they call themselves and Tony Stark is an asshole regardless of whether you think he died for your sins. Thor: Ragnarok would probably get an honourable mention for Hemsworth’s comic timing.
Anyway I only got asked for seven so there you go. Consider yourself tagged if you haven’t already done this.

So what is the quintessential Rita Hayworth viewing for someone who has never seen any of her films?
I am so glad you asked!
Tagging @chainofclovers who asked a similar question a few weeks ago :)
Gilda is the film she’s most known for, the role that her image is irrevocably tied up with, so I’d recommend that first. It’s also probably my favorite movie and dramatic performance of hers. The plot itself is kind of nonsensical, although it makes a lot more sense when you recognize the gay (sub)text and realize it’s a love triangle between a woman and two men where all three of them are attracted to each other. It’s got fantastic noir cinematography and aesthetics and Rita and Glenn Ford have incredible chemistry together. Glenn Ford’s character in this might be the horniest character in the history of film. Virginia Van Upp, who produced the film and did a lot of the screenwriting, was friends with Rita and based much of the character on her. For that reason, I think, Rita gives an incredible performance as a character who’s playing at brash sexuality and femme fatale aesthetics but is incredibly vulnerable underneath.
You Were Never Lovelier is the second of two musicals she did with Fred Astaire and is probably my second favorite film of hers, it’s just so fun and sweet and romantic. The dance scenes are absolutely beautiful, with some of my favorite work by both Rita and Fred. And she is truly SO lovely in this movie, no pun intended. I’m not doing a good job of describing it but it’s really good! Just watch it!
The Lady from Shanghai is another film noir directed by Orson Welles (her estranged husband at the time). It’s a deeply weird movie- when I watched it on TCM Eddie Muller called it “a trainwreck of a film” and he’s right. It combines noir, farce, and an extremely convoluted plot. So if you like films that make sense it’s probably not for you. But it’s got amazing, experimental-ish cinematography- the final scene is one of my favorites ever- and is maybe the only true femme fatale role she ever played, and she’s wonderful in it. This film also takes on elements from her real life, and it’s interesting to watch it while thinking of her character as herself, Orson Welles’ character as himself, and Everett Sloane’s character as Columbia studio head Harry Cohn.
Cover Girl is another fun, lighthearted musical, this time in Technicolor and with Gene Kelly. This was the first film she got top billing on and I think the film + its premise really highlight that she had something special that set her apart from the rest. It’s got some really beautiful (+ beautifully filmed) dance scenes, too. This was, I think, the one of the first films that Gene Kelly did choreography on and it’s notable for a dance scene he does where he dances with his own shadow. The ending is immensely frustrating and sexist to me but it’s Old Hollywood so we ignore the endings 90% of the time anyway.
Road to Salina- most of her later filmography is absolute garbage. This film is also trashy, but it’s interesting trash. It belongs to that genre of late-60s/early-70s psychedelic, Eurotrash exploitation flicks. Rita plays a mother whose grasp of reality is highly questionable. It’s really sad when you remember that she was dealing with the early (undiagnosed) stages of Alzheimer’s in real life during filming. But I really loved her performance here- it’s completely batshit and a lot of fun.
Down to Earth is not a “good” film per se, and in fact she’s said it was her least favorite film that she made. But it’s a cute and fun musical that has her playing her most realistic role to date, that of a literal goddess (they didn’t call her The Love Goddess for nothing!). She’s Peak Beautiful in it and you get to see her gorgeous costumes and hair in color. It’s also got some of my favorite dance scenes of hers, which I’ve watched over and over, and it showcases a whole range of styles that she can do.
The Lady in Question- I am probably the only person in the world who would put this on a list of her essential films but I thought it was really cute. One of my favorite pre-superstardom films of hers. The thing that makes it noteworthy to me is that her role oddly kind of deconstructs her own star image before that image had solidified. It’s also the first of five movies she made with Glenn Ford, the onscreen pairing she’s most associated with, so it’s worth watching for that.
Honorable mentions go to The Strawberry Blonde and Only Angels Have Wings, two of her early films everyone else seems to love but that I didn’t like that much. She plays supporting roles in both (despite being the titular strawberry blonde). Only Angels Have Wings is really well done if you like action/adventure films (which I don’t lol), and The Strawberry Blonde has a great performance by Olivia de Havilland as a proto-feminist character.
