🥇— [ 1ST PLACE ]
Oakland, CA — (16.13%).
Crowned as your best outfit of the LTWT we find a classic — one we haven’t stopped thinking about even months later: Louis wore a Self-designed Black Turtleneck with characteristic Red details, such as the 28 in the neck and sleeve.
Tumblr media
🥈— [ 2ND PLACE ]
Manila, Philippines — (15.85%).
One of the fan-favourites and a characteristic testament to Louis’ self, coming for second place is Aries’ Happy Dude Tee. This tee’s graphics are positioned as an abstract smiley face, including whimsical branding on the chest.
Tumblr media
🥉— [ 3RD PLACE ]
Mexico City Night 3, México — (11.82%).
It wouldn’t be a proper ranking if Burberry wasn’t in the top three. On this occasion, Louis wore an Icon Stripe Perforated Set. A subversive, sensual edge characterises Riccardo Tisci’s Burberry — and Louis made it his.
Tumblr media
[ 4TH PLACE ]
Monterrey, México — (8.98%).
The perfect mix between a years-long tradition and new memories, is Louis wearing Farah x Bianca Saunders’ Gibbs Knitted Polo. Adorned with an open motif embroidered down the sides, BS pushes signature silhouettes and unique techniques.
Tumblr media
[ 5TH PLACE ]
Buenos Aires Night 1, Argentina — (8.46%).
As one of your top looks from the entire tour is Louis in Armand Basi. With a flame intarsia design characteristic of the vintage vibe AB aims for, this brand focuses on the promotion of young talent and sustainability.

Fashion Editorial
Since I am working on my magazine to show each of thew sub-trends, I decided to look up some fashion editorials and show some of my favourite ones so far.
A fashion editorial is a collection of pictures found in magazines from around the globe created by the industry's leading talent. Photographers, stylists, models and top labels come together to create amazing fashion shoots. Showing off the creative side of fashion, these pictures add another dimension to designers' work.
Tumblr media
1. Imaan Hammam for Vogue Japan
Imaan was captured by Luigi & Iango for the May 2021 cover. She was wearing shoes from Burberry by Riccardo Tisci posing on a pool float in the sea. The photoshoot took place in Puglia, Italy. The stylist for this shoot was Anna Dello Russo and she selected designs from Balenciaga, Isabel Marant, and Versace, amongst others.
I really liked this editorial because I love the sea and anything connected to it but what also caught my eye was the contrast between the pink dress and the blue sea and sky. In the second photo, the model re ends me of a sea siren and I like how the water behind her is glistening.
Tumblr media
2. Emmanuelle Lacou for Grazia International’s Issue #9
This editorial was photographed by Paul Morel. The model wore a Valentino bow-adorned coat for the first image (cover).  Called Through the Hourglass, hazy images show fashion-forward looks styled by Marne Schwartz and Anna Castan. For beauty, Chiara Marinosci worked on hair with makeup by Ricky Morandin. Sheri Chiu was in charge of casting for the shoot with set design by Alessandra Chiarelli and creative direction by Dané Stojanovic.
I really love the soft colours in this editorial. My favourite ones are in this photo. What I like the most in the lighting for the background and how it compliments the clothes she is wearing. In the bottom left photo, the background looks like the lighting is bouncing off of the model’s dress. The bottom right photo is also amazing because the throw has a face on it and the whole thing looks really realistic until you notice the model actually holding the throw up in the air.
Tumblr media
3. Beyonce Knowles Carter for Vogue Magazine
Beyonce’s editorial was shot by Kennedi Carter who is a Texas native like Beyonce herself. She was styled by Edward Enninful with the help of her personal stylist Zerina Akers and her tailor Tim White. Her hair was done by Jawara - one of the most sought-after names in fashion right now. The creative director behind this project was Kwasi Fordjour that works at Beyonce’s own entertainment company Parkwood Entertainment.
There are many reasons why I love this editorial and one of them is definitely the styling for it. I love how they combined fashion from Alexander McQueen, Mugler and Christopher John Rogers with her pieces from the Adidas collaboration Adidas x Ivy Park. One of my favourite photos from this photoshoot was the bottom left photo with the light hitting her back and accentuating the jewellery.

Burberry's streetwear miss
At the end of the Burberry case, Bravo remarked that the upcoming five years would prove to be even more difficult than the past five years and that the task at hand would be to "manage the popularity of the brand in a way that lays the foundation for long-term growth." With the benefit of hindsight, we can examine how Burberry has fallen behind its competitors in innovating on and adapting its brand to create a long-lasting advantage.
In the past decade, hip-hop culture and streetwear have had an increasing influence on mainstream fashion. Once niche streetwear brands such as Supreme and Off-White have become so popular that traditional luxury brands have taken notice and adapted their brands and products to incorporate elements of hip-hop culture and streetwear style. Notably, in 2018 Louis Vuitton named Virgil Abloh –the founder of Off-White and frequent Kanye West collaborator – as the artistic director of its menswear line, making him one of the few black designers leading the brand. Similarly, both Balenciaga and Gucci named new creative directors in 2015 (Balenciaga: Demna Gvasalia – founder of Kanye-approved Vetements, Gucci: Alessandro Michele), propelling both brands to be among the most popular luxury brands today, especially among young people. The growing influence of hip-hop culture has also brought about several collaborations between traditional luxury brands and edgy upstarts: such as Louis Vuitton x Supreme, Palace x Ralph Lauren, and Dior x KAWS.
As noted in the case, Burberry was concerned that the increasing popularity of their brand among "youth and hip-hop musicians... could eventually alienate Burberry's core customers." In fact, Burberry's early popularity among the influential hip-hop community could've helped them adapt their brand to appeal to younger customers and create a long-lasting advantage. To do so, Burberry would've had to work hard to transform their brand image, which has historically represented classic, British aristocracy. While Burberry also named a new creative director in 2018 – Riccardo Tisci – they had lost much of any early edge they may have had. Under Tisci's direction, Burberry has made progress in evolving its brand to incorporate more streetwear elements, however, has fallen in popularity to luxury brands such as Balenciaga, that invested in the cultural shift earlier.

All The Looks From Beyonce’s ‘Black Is King’ Visual Album
Tumblr media
Social media has gone into meltdown following the release of Beyonce Knowles’ new visual album ‘Black Is King,’ via Disney+ at midnight PST.
The project was written, directed, and executive produced by Beyonce, and features appearances by JAY-Z, Kelly Rowland, Naomi Campbell, Tina Knowles-Lawson, Lupita Nyong’o, Blue Ivy, and more.
‘Black Is King’ is based on the music of ‘The Lion King: The Gift’—the companion album Beyoncé made for Disney’s live-action film, of which Beyoncé voiced adult Nala.
In the film, dance sequences, Lion King samples, and footage of Black families around the world are interspersed with sequences in which Beyoncé traverses a beach, reciting details of a generations-spanning spiritual journey
The visual album was filmed across several locations including New York, Los Angeles, South Africa, West Africa, London, and Belgium.
As we’ve come to expect from a Beyonce project, the costumes are just as impressive as the visuals and the vocals.
This first look is Valentino Haute Couture leopard needlelace jumpsuit embroidered with sequins and rhinestones which sets off my jumpsuit, animal print and bedazzling senses all at once.
The jacquard leopard cape we see in the sketch didn’t get a look in here, and I really wish it did.  As it would’ve added a regal air to this already powerful image.
A-Morir, who provided a few of the accessories for this film, created the rhinestone accented shades. Christian Louboutin heels completed her look.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This next tulle black gown custom made by Timothy White is perhaps the most iconic look thanks to the homage paid to Egyptian queen Nefertiti via her braided updo/crown.
Tumblr media
d.bleu.dazzled® by Destiney Bleu is known for her rhinestone accented pieces.  This shimmering bodysuit and skirt from the Californian-based designer, was style with a necklace by Area, and another pair of shade by A-Morir.
Tumblr media
Riccardo Tisci’s choice of prints for Burberry went way beyond the brand’s signature check to cow motifs for Spring 2019.  Looking like a warrior about to go into battle, the mini dress paired with a matching corset was styled with metallic silver Christian Louboutin shoes and a Ram horn headdress.
Are we about to see a cow print resurgence?
Tumblr media
We then cut to a more serene setting which sees Beyonce wearing a custom white gown by Wendy Nichol.
This look instantly reminded me of the vintage Alexander McQueen dress Kim Kardashian wore to the 2020 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, as it has the same dreamy, ethereal quality.
Tumblr media
This Lace by Tanya embellished fringe design had me thinking back to Lizzo’s Atelier Versace dress worn to the 2020 Grammys.
Tumblr media
This Mary Katrantzou Fall 2019 look is among my favourites for the colours, tumbling ruffles, feather accents and the darker hair colour, which I much prefer over the blonde.  I think she looks much younger and fresher with this hue.
This isn’t the first time the singer has favoured the Greek designer.  As Mary created a look for Beyonce which she wore during the Global Citizen Festival concert.
Tumblr media
Mary Katrantzou Fall 2019
Tumblr media
Area created this colourful webbed fantasy for their Fall 2019 collection, which Beyonce brought to life in this film.  The styling kept the look true the vision of the designer and film’s aesthetic prowess.
Tumblr media
Area Fall 2019
Tumblr media
For one of my favourite performance in this film, the singer wore a Loza Maléombho graphic, black-and-white ensemble was styled with a gold hardware including a grill.
Tumblr media
There was more animal print to be had in this cheetah print gown, which could fit right on set of ‘Coming To America,’ as well as the Wearable Art Gala, and any music awards ceremony or premiere.
Tumblr media
Oversized hats are still on trend according to Beyonce.
This Marta Jakubowski  x Jo Miller hat provided plenty of shade for her breath-taking royal blue Alejandro custom off-the-shoulder design. This feels like a Joan Collins “rich b!tch” moment.
Tumblr media
In my mind, this sugary pink embellished ruffled swimsuit what Diane Ross wears when lounging by the pool.
Tumblr media
There were more black ruffles to be hand in this layered creation which is almost upstaged by the braided crown.
Tumblr media
Sipping high tea with Mama Knowles-Lawson, Beyoncé wore a dramatic Erdem floral-printed tiered gown styled with Anabela Chan earrings and an array of accessories that give the look an edge.
Tumblr media
Erdem Fall 2019
Tumblr media
This Marine Serre Fall 2019 catsuit will be the most recognisable piece here, due to the brown design adorned with the brand’s hallmark crescent moon motifs as a repeated print.
The print proved to be a important factor in the octopus-style dance break.

🥇— [ 1ST PLACE ]
Mexico City Night 3, México — (10.31%).
Who doesn’t love Burberry? For his last night in LatAm, Louis wore a Burberry Icon Stripe Perforated Set. Thanks to Riccardo Tisci, Burberry’s garments give off a subversive, sensual edge — one Louis showcased perfectly.
Tumblr media
🥈— [ 2ND PLACE ]
Monterrey, México — (10.01%).
Following a tradition since 2019 of wearing green while in Mexico, Louis wore a Farah x Bianca Saunders Gibbs Knitted Polo. Adorned with an open motif down the sides, Bianca Saunders pushes signature silhouettes with transformative techniques.
Tumblr media
🥉— [ 3RD PLACE ]
Buenos Aires Night 1, Argentina — (9.09%).
It’s no surprise that Louis in Armand Basi took a top three. Armand Basi focuses on the promotion of young talent and local production, as well as quality and sustainability — aspects we’ve seen Louis support throughout life.
