so I love your TMNT iteration, it’s been in my brain, but I noticed that the teens themselves had numbers. Leo has 1, Mikey has 2, Raph has 3, and those numbers are on their arms. Yet Donnie has the number 44 on his leg. Is there plot significance to it??

Teenage Meddling Mutant Turtles: The Experiments

As mentioned before, the TMMT turts were all mutated as part of a series of experiments: the Baron’s 45 Plan.

The number placement and order is based off the plan’s different stages! Stage 1 took 10 animal subjects and began with mutation using human DNA. Four turtles were bought in bulk and were part of this stage: three boys, one girl. The original plan took 16, but Shen’s meddling stopped Dr. Draxum from doing so.

After rebuilding, Stage 2 took 15 human subjects and did the reverse, trying mutation with animal DNA. Interestingly enough there seemed to be little physical difference between those of Stage 1 and Stage 2, outside of those in Stage 2 tending to look slightly more humanoid.

Stage 3 is a little more messed up, mutating both humans and animals using specific body parts rather than the whole. This method has a low success rate and only a handful of subjects survived past the first week.

And Stage 4? Well, that information is hard to come by. I suppose it’s just a question only Donnie can answer :)

Guys. Guys I just had the most mind-blowing realization. In the 2012 TMNT, two of Shredder’s minions have names that are like, basically synonyms of his. Like Xever Montes? As in sever. And then Chris Bradford/Dogpound gets turned into Rahzar as in fucking RAZOR?!

Tbh i love the 2012 villains so much, like they are so damn underrated in this fandom. Like what do you mean no-one is obsessing over Bebop and Rocksteady being mlm icons? Headcanon

Xever as a kid loved the ocean and anything related to it. Enjoyed visitng the beaches of Sao Paulo and just enjoyig eveything like swimming in the cool waters, sand between his toes and gentle breeze in his face.

Liked reading about the ocean and the life in it, actually knows quite a lot of facts.

He even wanted to be like a deep sea explorer, swimming with all the cool fishes 🐟 🐠🦈🐡🌊🐚

Now that's a dream he's long gave up on💔

Unpopular Opinion: The BEST Team-Up of ALL Time is in TMNT 2012 in the Episode: Annihilation Earth.

I mean it’s so awesome seeing enemies team up. Splinter and Shredder working as a team, no holding back. April and Rahzar taking cover together. Tiger Claw covering April and Casey while they run.

When I was doing the sketch, some of the lyrics from “Candy Store” kept playing through my head. It was pretty cool. Sorry for the delay, and not putting more detail into the shoes, I was feeling pretty tired 🥱. I hope you like this sketch, maybe one day I’ll color it in.
