What are your plans for the infection au?

Also, are Ballistic weapons effective against the infected? Are Wispons (Wisp- Weapons)?

Last minute thought. Are Wisps affected by the virus?

My plans are to work on it casually in order for me to not lose interest in it, since I can struggle to feel motivated on a project when I'm hyperfixated on something else (the zeti have me in a chokehold). I'm still continuing it, but I realized that I am in no capacity to keep a professional schedule to it, due to my ADHD n all. But it will continue to be a comic series until I come to a point where it needs an ending, meaning it'll end when it needs to.

Ballistic weapons can be strong, depending on the firepower of the weapon, but they're mostly ineffective on breaking/shattering the hardened Metal Virus compared to the rest of the body. Wispons, however, can be effective, but the most effective is the Burst Wispon at a very high combustion level.

Wisps themselves aren't really effective against the virus, and they likely should not come into contact with it, just like everyone else.

Ooh, very good question.

If you mean specifically how the body reacts to the metal growths, many things can happen at that stage. Commonly, the process of corrosion (or in simple terms, rusting), due to internal fluids, physical deterioration, or environmental oxygen, and the feature of alloy from the body to the metal itself (aka, the grafting idea I've spoken of before).

Other reactions outside of the metal affecting the body can be caused by heat, cold, and electricity, acting like regular metals would under those elements and so on.

Meet Zain and Zayad, two zetis in a band goin across Mobius to spread their own brand of electronic rock!

Zain is the more brash yet down-to-earth free spirit with a love of rock and older media. He has a bit of a sensitive side to him that no one else sees unless they're close to him (Like Zayad).

Zayad is outgoing and kind of a party animal when it comes to doing what he loves; DJing. Most of all, he's very chill and often has a calm exterior when he's not playing music with his partner.

Also, they're like gay, and stuff. Love them

Another thing: I updated two of my ocs, Sam and Axel! Double OCs feature!

I love their new designs, and I'm showing them because of one last render I finished lately.

I am confused earlier you said something about hardened metal? Is the metal of the infected hardened or is it soft like the original were it could reform dose it change with heat? sorry if I’m misunderstanding something

The metal of the infected is hardened, not soft. I describe it in a way that it's like the og metal virus but a solid shape instead of liquid. It cannot reform, buuuuut heat can change it, as said in previous asks. It's why high-grade combustibles and flamethrowers are recommended to fight against the infected/infection after the Outbreak.

Do the infected retain use of there powers for example could infected silver still use telekineses or infected mimic being able to transform to look like others

That depends on how much of their brain is still intact and/or functional. As stated prior, wherever the hardened metal grows causes damage to the internal structure. So if there are rashes along the head, metal will incubate there and tear apart the brain. Brain connection to using the body's powers would thus be severed. But, if there isn't, then there may be just enough brain stability to use those powers, but they would be heavily unfocused.

Yes, but they don't survive the infection, unlike how Mobians can.

Humans will not be a part of the AU's main storylines.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but how dose the infection spread is it like the metal brooms where it spreads on contact or is it like a bite

By itself, the infection is spread through person to person contact of their bodily fluids or contaminated blood; or it can be spread through ingestion/contact of environmentally infected organics, like plants or water.

As for how the Infected infect others, they do it by, uh... goring people alive with their metal growths and pouring the raw contaminated fluid from their body into the opened wounds. Fun, I know/j

Ooooh, that's actually a good question. I never thought about that.

I fffffeel like he has potential to be mentioned, but I'm not sure about the disguising himself as the infected. He's been able to morph and shape clothing (Tangle and Whisper Part 2), but he's not able to replicate powers like Sonic's speed. So unless he can replicate the smell of the infected or the infection himself, visual disguises can only work for so long... which is like a few seconds or so.

What would the Deadly Six look like in your Sonic Virus Au, or if they'll be in your Au? Will Some of the Deadly Six be Infected, or will they be In Hiding? I'm wondering bec I love the draw Them, and To see if they would be infected would be cool

I'm thinking of drawing the OG Deadly Six designs for this AU (mainly 'cause it'll save me time from how simple their designs are), and I've mentioned before--sorta--that the Zeti would be in this AU. Their story will start pretty late into the comic for a reason, and of course some of them will be infected!

But until that time comes, I'll leave it a surprise for now. ;)
