oh yeah totally not transmisogynistic for you to create a callout-style smear campaign against a trans woman for TALKING ABOUT TRANSMISOGYNY. the screenshots that are supposedly “proof” of “transandrophobia” are literally just pointing out that transfems experience discrimination that transmascs don’t. your insistence that she is somehow dangerous or harmful IS TRANSMISOGYNISTIC. please just THINK about what you are doing!!
So it's transmisogynistic to point out that a transfem is extremely fucking toxic as a person and is being transphobic towards a demographic that had supported her when it came down to photomatt's transmisogyny? That is not transmisogyny. She doesn't get to be bigoted to other trans people due to trauma as a "reward." Her being trans does not immediately make her not transphobic ever to other trans people.
She calls transmascs MRAs for speaking of issues that impact us (Surprise- transmascs do experience misogyny as well. You act like the instant we realize we are transmascs we don't and become immediately passing as cis.) when real MRAs hate us and consider us women. She thinks we are at fault for TERFs targeting us due to vulnerability and should be punished for it. She supports baeddels that have a history of being anti-masculinity. Tell me how that is not transphobic. It would be the instant that you swap out transmasc for transfem in your eyes, so how is it not transphobic for her to do to us? Is it not transmisogynistic to have a double standard that allows anyone deemed women to be flawless and incapable of wrongdoing or bigotry for being women while men are always evil?
Making people aware of someone's transphobia is not a smear campaign. You sound like the alt right fucks who get mad they experience consequences for racism when you claim that.
You really going to go up to bat for someone who thinks they should get a free pass on suicide baiting and says that cohost staff enforcing their own rules about it is transmisogyny? That's literally trying to twist a situation so you're the victim when you're actually the one in the wrong in the situation. Someone can be a victim and experience oppression, but that doesn't mean they are flawless or always good people.
Tumblr media
Bonus: She blames transmascs for her being ran off the site and not staff's refusal to actually do anything about the harassment and wrongful community labeling plus photomatt's transmisogyny. So she thinks transmascs are 100% the same as the TERFs that want us killed.
Tumblr media
Predstrogen, if you don't want people screenshotting your rancid transphobia and history of bigotry, stop thinking it is magically acceptable to do to other people. You're literally supposed to not be on this site anymore. Just fucking look away. I do this for archival purposes. My FP deleted xis account for you and supports all your baeddel shit. I never saw a transmasc not support you while the photomatt stuff went around. I spread the word and support a case of legal action against tumblr for the bigotry and paywalling of accessibility. You're being intentionally ignorant of the people who have supported you and then spitting in their faces. Also funny how she shows usernames from other people but not my username and more of the post. Almost as if my points here actually get under her skin and she doesn't want people coming to my blog to see the full post.

this post is bad and you should feel bad. you could've worded this in a way that said smth like "men who blame society's hatred of men who fail to conform to the patriarchy or meet its standards of white cishetallo perisex able-bodied neurotypicalness etc on women are wholesale idiots and failures" but instead you decided to minimize the very real problems a lot of ppl on this site point out.
i have never, EVER seen posts like the one OP mentions like, actually gain traction and importance or have the majority of ppl agree with them.
what OP is ACTUALLY describing however are posts i have seen: posts which discuss how categorizing men as inherently bad or prone to violence and cruelty, or positing men as the root of all evil in the world, ignores the nuance of a lot of patriarchial and societal issues which aren't so much focused on gender or sex as they are on gender and sex roles, the gender and sex binary, and the pressure of conformity placed on literally everyone, as well as the fact that not all men and not all women are on equal platforms of power or privilege.
a white man has more power and privilege than a black man and so does a white woman, and both of them have these things due to their race and also their gender. there are countless examples of white women utilizing their societal status and gender/sex roles to get black men literally murdered. you all know about emmett till i'm sure, but there are even more recent examples if you go looking
perhaps yall need to start recognizing there's a reason in this uptick of people talking abt why radfem ideology that pushes a platform of "All men are bad by nature and must have this badness beaten out of them by the good "non-men" (totally not a racist term btw) who are good by nature due to not being men" is a problem and hurts people. people like myself and others who make posts on these issues aren't saying misogyny isn't real or is less harmful than blah blah blah (which is a ridiculous measurement btw, that's not something that can be counted or measured or determined with a scale, this isn't the suffering olympics guys, suffering is suffering and all suffering is equally bad)
you made up a guy in your head to yell at and are convincing people that he's real and a real problem on tumblr, the website i grew up on as a young black nonbinary trans boy, where the reigning ideology until very recently was "all men suck/kill all men" and has only recently shifted to a somewhat "nicer" approach of "men can be good i GUESS, but they're inherently bad and so is masculinity" held by the masses
perhaps op and everyone who unironically and uncritically reblogged and agreed with and liked this post needs to read what we're actually saying. bc sure, some whackos might be saying this on a small scale, but how many posts like that are you actually seeing? and how many posts are actually talking abt how harmful it is to make blanket statements using bioessentialism that you read and took as a personal attack for some reason?

every time someone who's not transmasc talks about "our community" having or emulating "toxic masculinity" i wonder if they can hear the little bioessentialist in their mind going on about male/female brains

im baffled about how so many people are suddenly shitting on transmascs for having the audacity to label our discrimination and making fun of terms like transandophobia and mocking us for talking about transmasc-specific issues and discrimination (which is a documented thing! and we have different factors intersect with our oppression than tma folks have intersecting with transmisogyny! and NOONE is saying that transandrophobia existing makes it worse than transmisogyny either!)
like what do you want us to do? are we just supposed to shut up and take it because us being afab means our problems are "lesser"? are we supposed to say that every other trans person has it worse so we can't talk about it anymore? what is the proposed solution here? mocking transmascs and harassing them and sending horrific anons to them isn't exactly a solid answer.
i genuinely truly don't understand why people are so upset about this and why it's such a big deal for us to label our experiences and talk about it when everyone was falling all over themselves to adopt new phrases when the terms transmisogyny and tma/tme started gaining traction. it's gross and weird. we're all siblings in the same fight here, infighting is pointless and a waste of energy. why are we trying to to beat each other down when this energy would be, y'know, actually progressive punching up and fighting the oppressive structures CAUSING these issues instead?

just to like- counteract the person who so desperately wants you to ignore what trans men are saying about how we experience oppression:
hi. thats pretty cool of you; "supporting before you hate". i really do hold out hope that people so vehemently denying transandophobia will just sort of...become quieter as the years go on, become less prominent. seeing more people in the tag is nice, gives me something to look forward to when i have time to unwind, hop on tumblr and see people who get me, who care about how hard it can be to find masculinity and what that means to us and moreover having to go and carve out a place for that masculinity in a world that refuses to recognize that from us without violence.
its bleak out there. stay strong. your siblings've got your back.
this ask is exactly why i hold that sentiment. transphobia and in this case specifically transandrophobia is so dark and prominent, i refuse to let my community be swallowed by it. too many people lose their family every day, their homes, their lives. your ask proves to me that people know they are loved. i promise things will be okay some day, and im going to keep loving everyone until it happens. thank you for this ask, it means a lot to me. i hope you’re having a wonderful day and you see more positivity in the world soon. i’ve got your back too. always

the whole transmisogyny/transandrophobia or whatever conversation is so confusing like i tend to just stay away from it cuz like. i already intrinsically Know what’s what and at times all the go around just feels like ppl talking in circles, yknow? but i just read a good post talking abt why the term transandophobia is wack, like yes, & also like built on some wack ideas, fr. like b4 i just thought ppl were using it as a trans masc version or inverse term or whatever of transmisogyny, to like describe the combo of transphobia/misogyny trans masc ppl go thru, but i guess they screwed it and it’s not, like it’s something else. but like. there’s still no term now 😭 like i understand transmisogyny is for trans fems, but i also understand why ppl are confused that it’s not for trans masc ppl too. cuz like, transphobia + misogyny or whatever trans mascs go thru, would equal a term like transmisogyny, right? but like That word is for trans fems. so im just gonna keep watching The Space to see if there will be actual credible terms that stand up under scrutiny come to accepted center stage or not lmao

Hello! I was just wondering: what does the "transandrophobia truther before it was cool" in your bio mean? Genuine question, I know what transandrophobia is but the "truther" addition confuses me.
A while ago there was a blocklist against "transmisogynistic transandophobia truthers", i.e. comparing trans men talking about the oppression we face to antisemetic conspiracy theorists. I was actually on it, though under a different url (tradwoof-tadashi), along with bigger names in the trans man community. No clue why since I've never been a blog dedicated to queer issues.
So, that part is lightheartedly referencing how I've acknowledged transandrophobia exists since the days I got called slurs for it.

I rly don't wanna make the issue of transmasc's being shitty wrt transmisogyny about me, but like my experience irl as a transmasc myself with those kinds of ppl is that they're super toxic & selfish, unable to look past themselves & their own problems to think about or care about other ppl. That's why I'm so vocal about transmisogyny & especially that in transmasc spaces, & why I don't think the discussion about transmisandry/transandophobia is a productive one (especially bc anti-transmasculinity already covers this in a better more nuanced way that includes & is informed by transmisogyny, transmisogynoir & misogynoir)

I don't know a lot about the transandophobia discourse so excuse me if this is just the same comparison repeated but the whole nonverbal/nonspeaking thing just reminds me of the whole division in the lesbian community a while back where they basically tried to say lesbianism was ONLY this specific xyz thing, and if you weren't that, you had to use other terms (I think shit like trixic / doe / stag came from this era?) and it was all under the guise of "well the lesbian tag isn't just lesbians anymore" which... Yeah that sucks. I can agree that sucks.
I mean damn, I'm not opposed to changing vocabulary when needed. I started using polyam instead of poly as a shortened term when Polynesian folks spoke up about it. But this feels like a broad spectrum term is being taken and crushed down to its narrowest view, and everyone outside of that is left floundering to figure out where they're supposed to go now.
And I don't mean this as a dig in any way, but I do kind of struggle to follow what's being said by a lot of the blogs discussing this, for whatever reason irregular/unfamiliar speech patterns are hard to parse, so I feel like a lot of it is getting lost in translation, at least for me personally? I don't know, the whole thing just seems unnecessary.
Much of Modern Lesbianism is heavily based on exclusionism (bisexual lesbians have repeatedly been kicked out of the community because they’re *impure* or whatever), so like, that shit doesn’t surprise me. The fact that lesbian tends to mean “a women who only likes women” is an act of exclusionism. Not even bringing up the Transphobia of it all.
Changing terminology is fine and all for people who can speak normally, but when you (even sometimes) use AAC to speak, you can’t change your terminology as easily, and sometimes can’t change it at all. You have to use what’s given to you. This has real life consequences: autistic children and adults frequently are abused, and the abusers get away with it because the children literally don’t have the words available to them to describe their abuse.
You’d think that aac users would understand this sort of thing, as they’re using aac to communicate their exclusionism. But I think they think that if someone can sometimes speak, they have no reason to use aac. Which is shit.

I’m so tired of people arguing about whether transandophobia or transmisandry or whatever is a thing or not. 9/10, it seems to be that people mostly agree but disagree on whether or not there needs to be a word about it. Like IDK. I don’t really care. Do we really need to argue about this when we could do other things with our time.

Well, I now have a list of acronyms to look up. And here I thought I was getting the hang of internet acronyms. dni, mogai, cgl, ddlg, anti-anti (given the context I'm guessing something with pedophilia?), and transandophobia, if thats not a weird typo for transphobia.
Geez, even with just the words I do know this seems like a depressing list.

Why is transandrophobia not referred to as transmisandry? I've seen the latter used occasionally, but not very often in comparison to the former, even though it seems to me like the term 'transmisandry' highlights its proximity to transmisogyny in a much clearer way.
Essentially, the use of "misandry" is so deeply tied to Men's Rights Activists that 99% of the conversation would eventually end up with arguing about whether or not the use of "misandry" was proper, instead of the actual issues at hand. So transandophobia was coined to try and redirect that.
Of course, people still try to shoot down transandophobia based on nitpicking etymology, so it's not a... perfect solution. But a lot of people prefer transandophobia because the use of misandry either makes them uncomfortable, or because they don't want to have to deal with the debating about misandry every time they talk about it.

im just fucking mad rn bc that fucking dental damage bitch is resorting to insulting my identity bc she has nt real argument to back herself up, like im fucking tired of being the nice guy for once, so im actually the trans men who didnt know that someone used their info w/o permission and suddenly im the bad guy??? really? I'm not the one collecting info about random user's medical history to support my own agenda, am I? fuck im so mad
Yeah fuck her all the way. Like even putting aside the obvious transandophobia and homophobia, I feel like you should agree that "using people's medical photos without their permission for a documentary" is bad. I think that's a thing most people would agree is bad and shouldn't be done. But bc TERF have no moral backbone besides fucking over trans people I guess it's fine when it happens to US (but you know if it happened to a cis woman they would be super pissed)
