🏠 MAKEOVER - 55 WOODLAND DRIVE (BROKE FAMILY)

Bullies at school always like to tell Dustin that his family’s house lives up to their surname. He just rolls his eyes and ignores it - mostly because he honestly doesn’t agree.

Sure, they may have a broken down beater in the carport, and it may be small and a little outdated, but there’s no denying the warmth and coziness it radiates when you walk in. Brandi’s still got some of the artwork he made her in kindergarten on the wall, and he knows the little gallery will become even more crowded now that Beau can make his own creations.

Besides, now that he’s dating Angela, he’s realized that money doesn’t buy caring parents. Yes, he’s going to be crammed into a bedroom with Beau soon, but Brandi cares about her boys so much that she spent all their money on bunk beds to make sure he had space for his desk still, even though it means she’s still sleeping on a pullout couch.

The only thing missing, in his opinion, is his dad. Well, and maybe a pet.

Made this over ages ago and never posted pictures, but wanted to share because I like how this turned out. I tried a new style for them - usually I make it a bit more depressing and ‘70s, but went for a 1990s floral vibe this time around. All my Sims have mortgages lol but I tried to keep it relatively sparse so they aren’t in a total sinkhole of debt.

I renovated this house for the Singles househousehold in my Uberhood, I gave it a modern airy feel and loved how it turned out.  I did this last year back when I was playing with very minimal CC so this house is basically CC free.  I don’t have a download link cause I didn’t want to go through the trouble of using mods to make it safe.  Hope you guys watch and enjoy!

I've been enjoying playing my maxis uberhood recently. I made quite a few premades into townies or just am choosing not to play some households except to age sims up manually every now and then, as it's overwhelming enough as it is! It's maybe 36 households currently I think, so it's taken ages to play 11 days each!

Fairlake University- A University for Riverblossom Hills!

"Fairlake was founded in the 19th century to serve as a source of higher education to those living in the isolated hills. Small and lovely, this place has kept it's soul all the years" This is a custom university made for Riverblossom hills (although it could fit any rural hood), compromising of 15 lots (2 dorms, 5 residential lots and 8 community lots) and 11 characters (including some familiar names) across 4 households. Fix for broken "Break Up" Want

my first ever mod, a fix for broken maxis coding, this case being the "Break Up" want. This want is now appears in the wants panel for adults and elders sims of all aspirations, instead of not being rolled at all

Download here conflicts with any custom WantTrees package, future revision with other wants fixes coming soon

Notes: The want does not appear originally because no ages (adult, elders , teens, children etc.) are checked on the panels, and only two of the three packages have any aspirations checked (romance and family) with the third having not having ANYTHING checked, so yeah. Additional special thanks to @simnopke for finding the wants that relate to it and setting up the foundation of this mod. @lamare-sims for noticing that my dumbass uploaded the wrong thing O_O , it got lost cause this upload went through 4 revisions so far (not including the mashup with dreadpirate's want trees)

🏠 MAKEOVER - 170 MAIN STREET (CALIENTE FAMILY)

When Dina’s husband Michael died suddenly, Nina was disappointed (but not surprised) to learn that neither of them had bothered to make sure his will was updated. And there was no way that Dina could tangle legally with the formidable Bachelor/Goth clan. Of course Nina was willing to let Dina move into her newly purchased starter home - with an extra bedroom empty and waiting and no plans to be tied down with a partner or kids, how could she say no? It’s only temporary, right?

She SHOULD have said no. She loves her sister but they are polar opposites. Where Nina is pragmatic, practical and neat as a pin, Dina is dreamy, romantic and prone to impulsive, reckless decisions - not to mention, she’s sort of a slob. And months later, Dina is very comfortably Moved In with seemingly no intention to leave - painting her bedroom, hanging paintings, and throwing her clothes EVERYWHERE.

Her presence (not to mention her lack of financial contribution!) is starting to grate on Nina, but the worst part about it is that she has no idea. For Dina, their new living situation is one big sister sleepover, and she’s constantly gushing to friends on the phone how much she LOVES living with Nina again. For now, Nina is keeping her mouth shut because Dina seems to have a new mark in her sights - but like most of Dina’s relationships, it’s sort of problematic and filled with drama, so Nina’s trying not to get her hopes up. But if she has to scrub out a filthy toilet or clean up after one of Dina’s bubble baths again, she’s going to lose her cool.

Exterior is HEAVILY inspired (aka copied almost exactly) from @plumbtales amazing makeover of this lot. If you haven’t seen their fantastic CC-free makeovers, definitely check them out! I wanted the inside to look a little bit bland, like this is a house flip, so hopefully I accomplished that.

I love both Nina and Dina but definitely feel bad for Nina. Dina always strikes me as one of those people who sort of floats through life accidentally wreaking havoc on the ones she cares most about. Completely unintentional, but she’s too spacey to even notice her impact until someone blows up at her. Poor Nina is always rolling wants to move out of her own home :(
