I compared my mods folder in this save to another save where this doesn't happen, and I had a couple of old versions alongside new versions in this folder and other abnormalities, once I sorted them out and tried making a sim a townie again, she has a proper job - huzzah!

I'm creating a custom TS2 hood currently, and all the townies (clean pleasantview) are showing as having a job, but it's blank with $0-30 wage and 0 hours 12am to 12am, no days, and in SimPE it shows a level but for an 'Unknown' career. I haven't got any custom careers in this save 🧐 Any ideas??? Hoodchecker hasn't fixed it. Edit: Brandi LeTourneau as an example.

I've been enjoying playing my maxis uberhood recently. I made quite a few premades into townies or just am choosing not to play some households except to age sims up manually every now and then, as it's overwhelming enough as it is! It's maybe 36 households currently I think, so it's taken ages to play 11 days each!

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to list the babies born so far, and the ones due in the next round:

If anyone fancied playing the Sims Life Stories and Pet Stories hoods, Hood Building Group on MTS recreated them all, and recently updated Bitville so you can choose to play from the two different endings onwards :) Four Corners from Riley's Story has already been updated in this way last year, and I saw they currently working on updating more of their hoods to be played from the end of the story as well, so keep an eye out! I did originally add all the hoods to a megahood and just started making the community lots over, but now I might start again with just the updated Four Corners, Bitville and also Arbor Falls (as there's presumably no update coming, as no story), then add Mesa Flats and Garden Heights once they're updated :)

A while ago I saw somewhere an old illustration of Peter Rabbit and his family maybe eating round the table, and a framed picture was on the wall of a pie saying 'dad' or father underneath. It made me laugh but I can't find it again! Anyone seen it?

The last starting family from my Medieval Charter Challenge - gentry family the Squires!

Blonde Darwin Squire is the heir, and brunette Selby Squire second born. That's the Castle Steward, Dominic Steward, in the background.

Then Darcy Squire and Millais Squire. This family is beautiful.

Mother Wintour Squire is often found scoping out the eligible bachelors of the Barracks for her girls - well, the yeomans and peasants surrounding them aren't exactly going to do!

Unfortunately Darwin isn't easy to impress (something the Captain of Arms is trying to educate his young charge Flynn Davison on). And Richard Young is finding Wintour herself a more interesting match!

"So... nice waistcoat, Richard." Second-born Selby is easier to please than her haughty sister.

Now the men awkwardly stand around and listen to Selby rock out while Darwin lies bored on the sofa.

Darcy finds this houseful of men overwhelming... Life is simpler as a toddler, eh Millais?

We're back at the Medieval Charter Challenge, with our last Peasant household, hay farmers the Hayes, consisting of father and son duo Linseed and Bram. This was an extremely boring household of just waiting for hay to grow for harvest, so I only have a few photos from their first day or two mostly with other sims in, and no close ups of their faces even! 🤭

Here's old man Linseed cutting a rug with local Almshouse resident Lucilla Reed, while young Bram tries it on with her housemate Lyn Harrison. However, it seems the ladies have other plans!

Cheeky young Rowan Wilde finds this development hilarious.

Heir to the only Gentry class family, Darwin Squire should know better than to fool around with such riff-raff. But while her mother Wintour isn't around, Darwin acts like any silly adolescent might.

Meanwhile, Bram thinks making an acquaintence of local good warlock Henrik Lachford might prove fruitful.

Back home and Bram is off to try and earn a living while waiting for the harvest to come in. He works in the Cooking career as a Sculion, whatever that means. Lucky guy gets picked up by a lady on a horse!

And finally, Linseed seems to have eyes for yeoman Queenie Hive, with a match in mind to help better himself and his son I'm sure. If he thinks she's wealthy though, he better think again... Next time I'll be properly introducing our last family, the gentry Squire's.

Today in the Medieval Charter Challenge, we have the peasant Farmer family! Mother and father Pepper and Giles, with children Julienne, Spud and Edward.

Julienne is so cute and one of my favourite sims. She's really great with her younger siblings, and has taken a liking to Birch Wilde.

I'm patiently waiting for all their crops to grow, as aside from selling a few apples we're not making much money currently...

Back to my sort-of Medieval Charter Challenge, and here we have the peasant Feathers family, single father Brent and his daughter Jemima.

They're poulterers and have some chickens and ducks.

Brent's immediate thoughts turned to matrimony, as his toddler really needed a mother figure. Theodosia Day from the Almshouse showed a lot of interest in little Jemima. However it is single peasant mother Rosemary Wilde who has grabbed Brent's attention.

A sudden freak lightning bolt did nothing but cause a greater spark between them!

And so, to make an honest woman of her, and because their foraging business is very successful, Brent and Jemima moved into the Wilde household and took Rosemary's name.

Now that's one busy 2-room hovel! Next time we'll meet the peasant Farmer family.

Hello, here's a default replacement for female teen basegame bottoms tfbottomminishorts. It's been replaced with two different meshes; Esotheria's vagabond skirt and Godlimpingby's wrappedpants conversion by Meduza.

The meshes both have fat morphs, and the colours used are above. The thumbnails don't line up grouped nicely in CAS because, well I didn't think of it and I'm not messing around with it now haha

I have a default female hair replacement for those games where mohawks maybe don't really fit the vibe... It's fhairmohawkspike from University with Digisim's Shimydim Lannister Mashup conversion, using a lower poly mesh by Simborg. This hair is soooo beautiful I can't bear it. And this family of ladies are all gorgeous too, I need to play them more often 👀

Anyway - 16k polycount, CF-EF, Digi's textures with colours Dynamite, Depth Charge, Volatile, Pyrotechnic and Mail Bomb. The 4 custom bin hairs are replaced with Explosive, Primer, Fission and Bastet.

As @blackswan-sims very kindly completed my hair retexture request, I have a new default female hair replacement! It's afhairbandana_gray from Kitchen&Bath Stuff with Simpliacity Emerald. This was originally defaulted by @rudhira here.

16k polycount, af-ef, gray bandana only. Pooklet-entropy textures, colours used are Dynamite, Depth Charge, Volatile, Pyrotechnic and Mail Bomb. All hair colours have a white bandana.
