Kolivan’s face is weary on the screen. The Galra always seems tense, like he’s in a constant state of hearing bad news. He listens while Coran speaks, and thinks before he answers. “I don’t know if we can provide the services you ask for,” Kolivan says slowly. His voice echoes in the empty space of the bridge. “I don’t know what else to do,” Coran says, “we brought him home, gave him shelter, and now Lance—” He cuts himself off, turning away from Kolivan’s eyes. Looks down at Lance’s blood on his body. How much more of it there is still to clean off the Blue Lion’s hangar. Off the halls that he’s scrapped with Champion in before they’d subdued the man. The man? No. The monster. Kolivan’s voice rumbles through the connection, “The Marmora are more in the business of breaking people than we are in mending them.” Coran feels steel in his voice, sharp and vindictive as a knife, as he says, “Maybe he needs to be broken.”

20. Do you prefer writing AUs or canon fics?

I always call my stories 'au's because what they tend to be is a canon divergence- either going 'what if' or taking canon as it is and then telling a story with all of those elements. But technically they are all canon-based, as I usually write within the realms of the story that I am enjoying!

So it's definitely canon fics.

29. What’s something about your writing that you’re proud of?

I think I do fairly well with a) characterization and b) action scenes. I also think I'm really good at mashing up multiple characters into a scene and having them play off realistically, even if they've never met in canon before.

74. Do you have a fic you wish got a bit more love?

The first one that popped into my head was Little Monster, which is very funny bc I am/was quite infamous in the Voltron circles for that story. But I always want it to get more love.

The other one is probably Awake My Soul bc that absolutely was a 'I bit off more than I can chew' but I was ready to write a 300k epic, had it landed better with audiences. It still has done reasonably well! But just wasn't engaged enough to keep my interest.

That, or, the redesign!galra Uliro fic I wrote about Ulaz and Shiro having some interspecies miscommunications in a sad way <3 I was hoping this would be the start of a ripple effect where everyone started using the redesigned galra lmao.

That intro episode for Ulaz could have been the perfect start to an actual developed relationship between a lead canonically gay male character and a hot alien spy and I'm SO BITTER my greatest dream for Shiro (aka hot alien bf) was stolen from me :(
