So, this was a good way to show a bit more of Riker and one of his quirks: Lifting people!

Yes, he knows it's a little odd, but it works. If someone's angry and about to snap? Yoink, you're going to another room to calm down.

He lifts Malli to get giggles and laughter, and Marc will use it on his more sleepy-bad days.

I will thank Scottie (@jaytoons7 's OC) for being an angry gremlin for this example. They have been nicknamed 'firecracker' by Riker and Malli.

Why do I say that last part? Well, here we go: Storytimeee! (Jay and Ulle also belong to @jaytoons7 )

Giving a growl, Scottie was sat in front of Jay and Ulle, their arms crossed in front of their chest.

"There we go. Little firecracker was about to pop off." Riker remarked, giving a pat to Scottie's shoulder, which made them growl and turned around, shoving a finger right into Riner's face.

"WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME?!?"

"A firecracker, man. Chill out, it's a compliment."

"A COMPLIMENT?!?"

"Yeah! Have you never seen a firecracker? They're fun and bold and explosive! I thought it describes you well!"

"YOU JUS-" Scottie paused their yelling, looking to Riker dead in the eyes to try and find any sort of lying.. "What are you pulling here, assassin?"

"Nothing being pulled. You're a firecracker, embrace it."

".... What do you think a firecracker is?"

Riker then shook his head. "Not the loud, popping one's, no. We used to break down lighters and we build it up in this.. Certain way, and then BAM-" He threw his hand down towards the ground, before spreading both of them out. "-It would explode out! Like a firework on the ground! Always sounded, and smelt like gunshots. We used to throw them on wood logs when a lighter ran out to start it up. Man, those always went up in flames!"

Scottie could only stare, hearing more and more of an American country accent come out of Riker as he described it. "You.. You called those 'firecrackers'..? And you think I'm.. I'm like one of those..?"

Riker could only nod. "Well, yeah. You're fun, creative, bold strokes, and explosive. If I called Joey that, it would be a joke on her height, but still complementary. They're more of a rigged bomb: sounds bad, but a pleasant surprise, still a bomb." Riker only shrugged with a smile. "Anyways, I need to get on. Peace out, firecracker!"

With Riker walking out, this left Jay, Ulle, and Scottie to stare at the empty doorway. "Well then.." Jay spoke to bust the silence after a few minutes.

Ulle glanced towards Scottie with her eyes wide when she realized that Scottie hadn't said anything either. "Scottie? Bud, you alright?"

Scottie still didn't say anything, only being pulled out by Jay shaking their shoulders. "Scottie, back to reality!"

Scottie's scowl came back, shoving Jay off of them. "Back off, Jay. I'm fine. Just.. A little shaken, alright?"

"Shaken? Why?" Ulle asked, with Scottie rolling their eyes.

"Don't worry about it! I'm fine, this whole things is fine- Everything. Is. Fine." Scottie said, looking up to Ulle and Jay, seeing both of them glance to each other and glaring down. "What?"

This caused the two of them to bolt out of the room, with Scottie just stood there and sighing. "This is gonna be a day.."

🎒 What items do you typically keep on your hotbar?

If u look closely in the pics i sent when i answered this question on a previous ask, ull notice one has a sword and the other doesn't. I used to keep a sword on my first slot. But now i try to learn better the ways of the axe to free a slot, since when building I rlly need all the spaces i can get and I'm not getting into fights (and if i do, axe does the job)

Interrogation Rescue

Hehe finally wrote another fic based on a Discord convo I had with friends. This one has Scottie going through it for the millionth time.

Warnings: Implied torture, Implied abuse, Violence

Notes: The government are assholes in this (Except Charles, He's a real one), Scottie's found family is here to kick ass, Scottie has PTSD, I'm so sorry if I wrote anybody's OC ooc

Nearby footsteps were moving…

That was the only sound Scottie could hear… Their arms were tied tightly behind a chair as they sat in a very dimly lit room. Or was it a tent? It didn’t matter. They knew that they were in the grasps of Galceforce’s wing of the government.

It all happened so fast. Scottie was dragged last minute into a raid, Much to their initial annoyance. Things quickly went downhill when they fought a bunch of government soldiers and quickly felt a sharp pain on the back of their head before things went black.

Everything after that was a blur to them. There were only flashes of pain as they were demanded to answer questions. Scottie doesn’t know how long it’s been since this started, But it felt like an eternity. Or maybe that was because they shut down during these interrogation sessions. Apparently the interrogators were on a lunch break right now, Which is why they weren’t here now.

It didn’t matter… After all, It wasn’t anything they weren’t used to. None of these scars and injuries are new. They spent the first 16 years of their life enduring this type of pain, They could do it again.

But then why did they feel so helpless…?

CRASH

“They’re here! I know they are!”

“Toppats! Don’t let them get to that tent!”

“So you DO have them! You won’t get away with this! NONE of you will!”

Outside of the tent Scottie was in, A group of Toppats were fighting the government soldiers. Jay meanwhile was looking desperately for Scottie. He soon saw someone with red headphones and launched themselves at him.

“W-Whoa!”

“Where’s Scottie!?”

“Scottie?” Charles thought for a second before realizing what Jay meant. “Oh! That Toppat chef?” He looked back and forth before pointing at a tent “They’re in that tent over there.”

Jay obviously had some suspicion. “Is this a trick?”

“No! No!” Charles put his hands up defensively. “Look, I had nothing to do with this! Apparently the general ordered to have any Toppat brought back interrogated! He didn’t even run this plan by me…”

Jay’s expression calmed down a bit before facing away for a second. “Accordion! Come here!” Charles' eyes widened as he saw the towering Toppat walk over. “O-Oh…”

“This guy says he knows where Scottie is.” Jay explained. “Can you stay close so he won’t pull anything tricky on us?” Accordion looked at Charles with a slight glare before nodding at Jay. “Of course Jay. He’s unfortunately the only lead we have right now it seems…”

Jay sighed before facing Charles again with fiery eyes. “Take us there, And don’t try anything!” Charles quickly nodded. “A-Alright sirs! J-Just follow me hehe!”

Charles made sure nobody else was watching before leading Jay and Accordion to the tent Scottie was being kept in. Scottie flinched a bit at the sudden light from the tent entrance opening.

“Scot!” Jay quickly ran over to the brutally injured Scottie. They quickly used his powers to burn the ropes. Unfortunately, Scottie was too weak to stand up and fell forward from the chair onto the floor.

Accordion quickly picked up Scottie and cradled them close. “J-Jay… O-Oliver…” Scottie managed to breathe out, Vision blurred at this point. “I-I’m s-sorry-” “No, Don’t apologize for this.” Accordion spoke up. “This wasn’t your fault, None of this was…” He hummed deeply, Causing them to calm down a bit.

Jay faced Charles with a confused look. “W-Why did you help us..?” “Like I said, The general never ran this plan by me.” Charles explained before looking down. “He can be harsh but this..? What was he hoping to gain..? It didn’t even work, They never gave us any information…”

There was an awkward silence for a second before Charles faced the two Toppats again. “You two need to leave. You got what you needed, And if you don’t you’ll be outnumbered.” “U-Understood.” Jay nodded before going to the front of the tent. “And thank you…” Charles only stayed silent as Jay and Accordion left the tent with Scottie in tow.

“Little Fox! A!” Ulle was in her dragon form flying above some unconscious soldiers. “Did you find them!?” “Yeah!” Jay nodded. “But they’re injured real bad! They did a real number on them…”

“Oh Shortcake…” Ulle looked at the barely conscious Scottie with worry. “I’ll get V to open us a Music Path! Meet us at the other side of the base! These soldiers are gonna get more intense when they realize you guys got their prisoner!” “Understood.” Accordion nodded. “I’ll keep Jay and Scottie safe. Please be careful Dazzling Fire…”

Ulle flew over to the other side of the base, Where some other Toppats were, Including Violin. “V! We found Scottie!” She landed next to him. “Them, As well as Jay and Accordion are on the other side of the base! It’s time to create a Music Path!”

“Are you sure they’ll make it Dragon Girl?” Brutus asked. “They’ll have to cross the whole base to make it!”

“I’m positive! Jay and Accordion know what they’re doing, And it’s too dangerous for us all to go across the base or for me to carry all three of them here! You’ll have to trust me!”

“I believe in you and them.” Violin gave Ulle a reassuring smile as he pulled out this instrument. “What I want you to do is make sure none of the soldiers can swarm them while I play. Can you do that, Pretty Comet?” Ulle nodded with determination. “You know it! I promise to make sure they’ll make it here safe!”

With that, Violin started playing.

On the other side of the base, Accordion and Jay heard the sound of a song played on a violin. “We need to move.” Accordion spoke. “A Music Path will be open soon.” “Don’t need to tell me twice!” Jay grinned. “Stay behind me, I’ll keep both you and Scottie safe so you can focus on protecting them!”

Jay ran forward and attacked any soldiers trying to come after them. Accordion followed close behind, Holding Scottie close.

Once they were halfway across the base, The song ended. A path was created and a portal with a metronome opened. “The portal!” Jay gasped. “We don’t have much time!” Accordion pointed out. “We need to move!”

Unfortunately, A bunch of government soldiers showed up. “They have the prisoner! Don’t let them escape!” Jay growled. With no choice, His eyes changed color as blue flames escaped them. The Blue Fox formed and picked up Accordion and Scottie. “Jay!” Accordion shouted in surprise.

“Go!” Jay’s voice echoed. “The portal will close any second!” The Blue Fox ran swiftly towards the portal. While Jay was focused on the fox, A soldier tried to attack them from behind.

Suddenly, Golden music notes suddenly attacked the soldier causing them to run off. Jay looked and saw Ulle landing closeby, Brutus and Gayle. “You scared the shit outta us Firefox!” Brutus half shouted. “We saw your fox thing zooming forward out of nowhere!” “Sorry.” Jay’s voice still echoed. “It has a mind of it’s own sometimes.”

“Alright gamers, Accordion and Scottie are about a quarter of the way there!” Gayle explained. “We should probably be joining them!” “We’ll get there! Just hold on, I see a LOT of soldiers ahead!” Ulle growled.

She took a deep breath before singing out and sending flaming meteorites flying towards the soldiers. The group used this opportunity to make it to the portal.

The Blue Fox zoomed into the portal while holding Accordion and Scottie. “We made it!” Ulle and Jay ran over. “The Music Portal’s about to close!” Violin stepped through. “Let’s leave!”

Jay’s eyes went back to normal. “F-Finally! Let’s go!” The rest of the Toppats went into the portal right as it closed.

Scottie’s eyes slowly opened, Flinching at the light above them. They noticed the bandages on them before wincing in pain. “Ugh…”

“You’re awake!” Scottie looked over and saw Jay and Ulle, Who both had tears in their eyes. “G-Guys..?” “You scared all of us!” Ulle sobbed. “We thought we lost you!” Scottie winced again as they sat up. “W-Where..?”

“You’re in the medbay.” Accordion finally spoke. “The government, They really showed you no mercy…” “O-Oh…” Scottie looked down at their hand. “I-I didn’t tell em anythin’... I-I zoned out through most of it…” Accordion looked at them concerned. “Zoned out?”

“I-It’s nothin’...” Scottie huffed. “Whatever they did to me, I’m used to it… I could go through it again if I had to…”

“No Scottie…” Accordion looked down. “You don’t ever have to go throught that again… You shouldn’t have to go through that again…” “He’s right!” Jay held Scottie’s hand. “You deserve better than that! You don’t deserve to be hurt like that!”

Tears formed in Scottie’s eyes. “I-I… I’m sorry… I-I never meant…” “D-Don’t apologize!” Jay shook his head. “Like Accordion said, None of this was your fault!” “H-How… How long did was I g-gone..?”

“Three days…” Ulle reluctantly answered. Scottie sat there quietly. Three days. Those were three whole painful days they would never get back. “I-I fuckin’ hate those assholes…” They noticed someone at the door. “Danny..?”

The Italian waiter flinched. “S-Scottie! I-I wasn’t eavesdropping I swear-” “I-It’s fine…” Scottie sighed. “I-I’m guessin’ I ain’t goin’ back to the kitchen for a while…”

“I-I’m afraid not. Reginald ordered that you stay rested until your injuries recover.”

“A-Ah… A-Are you sure you and Calypso can handle that..?”

“W-We’ll manage. Look, Whatever happened to you, You need to get your rest.”

“Exactly!” Ulle nodded. “But don’t worry! We’ll make sure to visit you the entire time!” “Yeah, And you’ll get to try out some delicious pastry recipes I wanna make!” Jay smiled. “Give em the Scottie taste test!”

Scottie sat quietly before more tears fell. “I… I love ye guys… Ya actually came to help me… A-And you still wanna help me… I-I don’t know what I’d do without ye guys…” “Of course.” Accordion gently placed a hand on their shoulder. “You’re family. Nobody hurts you and gets away with it.”

Scottie gave a small smile. They were part of a family that actually cared about them. A family that would risk so much to help them. And it was all they could ever hope for.

Chapter 1: Vocation

Hybrids. A rare creature mixed with humans and another species. Everyone knows hybrids are really rare. You could be born as a hybrid. Another way to become a hybrid is a more painful way. Being experimented on. Most of the hybrids were being experimented on as a test subject. A lot of hybrids escape the lad and live on their own life, hiding their hybrid form to blend in as a human. Mirage and his siblings were one of them, and so were most of his friends. Mirage was running down the hall, so he was told to be in Reginald’s office in 10 minutes. He knocks three times when Mirage stands in front of the office door.

”Come in!” Mirage opens the office door and closes it, facing the chief. “Come sit down.” Mirage takes the seat and faces Reginald. “Sir, what do you need me for?” Mirage asks, curious and confused. Maybe is one of the missions? “No, I don’t need you for anything.” Mirage raises one of his eyes brows. “Then why do you call me…?” Reginald fold his hand and place them on the table. “Well, you and your siblings had been working in the Clan for almost 2 years, correct?” Mirage nods. “Well, RHM and I had talked a little and decided that you and your siblings will go on a break for all the hard work you three give the Clan.”

A break. Mirage can’t believe his ears. The Chief decided to give the Felizima siblings a break from the crime. “Are you sure about this, sir?” Mirage asked. “Yes, I’m sure, Mirage. You and your siblings have done enough crimes for the past 2 years. So we decide to give you guys a break.” Reginald told him. Before Mirage could question where they would live, Reginald beat him.

“And don’t worry about the government or CCC. You guys will be living near a forest which makes it very easy for others to get lost. I’m pretty sure you can handle yourself since I’ll give you a map.”

Reginald looks at RHM and gives him a nod. RHM walked to one of the drawers and grabbed a tan color map then handed the map to Mirage. Mirage opens the map and looks through it. They are gonna live somewhere in North America. Mirage folds the map looks at his chief and gives him a bow. “Thank you so much, sir,”

“You’re welcome, Mirage. You’re dismissed.” Mirage walks up to the door, exits it, and then closes it. “Yes!” Mirage then ran to the cafeteria to meet up with his siblings. “Oi, Danny!! Annesa!! I got some good news!!”

The kitchen door flew open as a waiter, Danny, came out from the door. “Hey, bro! What’s the good news? Can we maybe talk somewhere-“

“DANNY FELIZIMA!!! WHERE ARE YOU!!!” Mirage looks at the kitchen and then back to Danny. “What did you do this time?” Danny nervously looks at Mirage. “Oh… you know… just accidentally eat a fish?”

“Oh boy…” Mirage looked up and saw a very angry Scottie stomping out of the kitchen. “Didn’t I tell you those fish are for the CUSTOMERS?!” Scottie looks like they’re gonna explode. “This is the SECOND TIME THIS WEEK!!” Mirage quickly stepped in. “Heyy, Scottie! You can’t blame us, can you? We’re still part of a cat!” Scottie glared at Mirage. “So?”

“So? Cat eats fish sometimes, Danny is a cheetah after all!” Scottie didn’t say anything and crossed their arm. “… Fine, I will let this one slide. But if I caught you again, not even the chief can save you.” Scottie points their knife at Danny and then walks back to the kitchen. “Thanks for the save. Anyways, what’s the good news?” Annesa appeared behind Danny. “Well, as ya can see, Chief Reginald decided to give us a break!”

“Really?” Danny ask. “Yeah! Awesome, right?”

“You do know that everyone is getting a break, right?” Accordion appeared behind the Felizima siblings, making all of them jump. “Accordion?! Where the hell did you come from?” Accordion chuckles with Violin next to him. “We just got here. So, where would you be living? Accordion and I was gonna live somewhere in North America.” Mirage looks up. “Us too. Chief even gave us a map.”

Annesa pulls out her notebook. ‘Wait… how long is the break?’

“Oh, it’s gonna be a year, at least that’s what I heard,” Mirage answered her question. “And when are we gonna leave?” Danny adds in. “We have until next week to pack. So in the meantime, we can get ready now.” Violin told him. Scottie comes out from the kitchen with some snacks. They put them on the table next to everyone. “Might just eat something before we start packing.” Everyone sits down and begins to chat. Scottie still glaring at Danny about the fish. The cafeteria door was opened by Crusher, Danny’s boyfriend, Jay, Ulle, Nicole, Brutus, who is holding Cameron’s hand, and Amelia, who is glaring at Cameron. Seems like those two got into a fight again.

“Hey, love.” Crusher came over to Danny and kissed him on his cheek. It has been a while since those two started dating. “Could you two, like, stop fighting for 5 seconds?!” Scottie gives Cameron and Amelia a harsh glare and quickly shuts them up about who’s the favorite child. Everyone takes a seat. So, we all know where we’re gonna live?” Violin asks, making everyone nod. “Let’s start with Jay first.”

“Well, I’m gonna live in North America. What about everyone else?” Ulle starts next. “Gonna live with Jay since he doesn’t mind me living with him.” Ulle points at Jay. “Accordion and I were gonna live together. Cameron and Brutus are gonna live with us. What about you, Scottie? Do you want to live with us?” Violin kindly asks Scottie. “Um… I would like to live with Jay and Ulle if that’s not troubling you two.” Ulle gives them a wave. “Of course not! And Amelia, where are you gonna live?” Once Amelia heard her name, she stopped glaring at Cameron and looked at everyone else. “Oh, I’m gonna live with…”

“Wasn’t your fathers gonna take you with them?” Danny ask. “Oh, no. They want a vacation by themself. I don’t want to bother them so I told them I’m gonna live with one of you guys. I might live with Danny, though. If you guys won’t mind.” Amelia awkwardly looks at the Felizima siblings. “Oh, no, it’s ok. We got a lot of rooms in that house.”

“Crusher, Nicole, where are you guys gonna live?”

“I’m gonna live with my sweetheart.” Oh no… Mirage sigh. “And I’m gonna live with Jay, Ulle, and Scottie. Ulle and I already talk about this.”

“So everyone has a place to live in?” Everyone nods. “Great! Now let's get packing. Don’t want to pack too late.” Everyone got up from their seat and started heading toward their room, while Danny and Scottie left behind to deal with the dishes. Mirage got his luggage and started packing. He got the things he needed, like clothes, toothpaste, toothbrush, some extra money for just in case, shampoo, etc. He wonders how big the house is. It says that it has at least 5 or more bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. A large kitchen, a backyard with a swimming pool,(don’t think they’re gonna use it), and a forest. ‘Why is there a forest behind the house?’ Mirage couldn’t think much anymore. He needs to stretch. He makes sure he locks the door and transforms into his hybrid form.

Mirage is a bobcat hybrid, and maybe living next to a forest isn’t that bad. He swigs his short tail and uses a hair brush to brush his ears. “Next week, we get to leave and enjoy ourselves. Mirage grabs a remote turns on the TV and watches the news. “Breaking news. A factory has been destroyed by three giant bird-like monsters. The police officers searched for the survivors but found none. They guess they were being killed by those monsters.”

“Bird monsters? Brutus is the only bird hybrid we know of. Then there must be other hybrids like us… wonder where they are.”

The next weeks came pretty quickly. Everyone was waving goodbye as they got in their drop ship. Once they arrive at their location for the year, they start to get ready. When they arrived, they were kinda surprised that they were all neighbors. Danny, Mirage, Crusher, Amelia, and Annase start looking around the house, which is more like a mansion. There are 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a backyard with a big swimming pool, a balcony, a large living room, and a kitchen. There’s also a third floor. The third floor has some extra room, a good room to hangout or work out with. But there's one bad thing about this mansion. There's dust everywhere. When they first step into the house, dust hit their faces. Mirage went to the backyard and took a good look at the forest.

“It’s a pretty big house for the four of us, no?” Crusher asked, looking at where Mirage was looking. Mirage rolled his eyes. “It would be better if you weren’t here.”

“Why do you hate my guts so damn much?”

“Oh, I don’t know. Maybe it’s because you’re the one that got me in jail for a year?” Crusher slowly chuckles. Mirage felt a pull on his shirt looked down, and saw Annesa holding her sketchbook. ‘You guys should put away your tophat before someone sees you.’ Mirage and Crusher look at each other before running back to their room and putting away their tophat. Mirage then closed the window carbon and himself back to his hybrid form. "Guys! It's time for lunch!!"

Oh yeah. It takes almost 2 hours to travel here. Mirage walks to the living room. Annesa and Amelia was already there, eating. Well, not Amelia. "Remember to wash your hands, Mirage." Danny put two plates on the table and went back to the kitchen and grab the last plate. After Mirage finished washing his hands, he went back to his siblings and Crusher and sat down. "So, have you guys heard the news?" Crusher asked, with food in his mouth.

"Dear, don't talk with your mouth full. Yeah, I have heard the news about that factory. It was destroyed by a bird monster. Do you guys think it's a hybrid?" Danny asks, rolling his pasta with his fork.

"Yeah. But Brutus is the only bird hybrid that we know in that factory and he is with us all the time." Amelia points out. 'Should we go and find the hybrid?' Annesa asks with her sketchbook in hand. Everyone looks around at each other. "...Maybe we should. Who knows what people will do to them. But the world is so big. How are we suppose to find them?"

Silents. No one talks. "Let's just force on the vocation right now. We can talk about this later." Danny stood up and took his plate to the sink. Annesa and Crusher followed. Mirage looked at his food and began to poke them. "Brother, stop poking your food. It's gonna get cold." Mirage smiles and continues eating his food.

After he finished, Mirage decided to grab a seat and sit down, facing the forest while sunbathing without his hybrid form show since he didn't want anyone to find out. He then slowly started to relax until he heard something. "Crusher, I swear if you-" He opens his eyes and looks around, notice Crusher isn't here. Weird... He could have sworn he heard something.

Mirage turned back to the forest and saw something yellow. "Che diamine…" Mirage stood up and went into the forest for a closer look, but he couldn't find anything. He looked down and saw a feather. A yellow feather. It's not an aqua feather and it's too big to be a hummingbird feather. Mirage pick it up and begin to get a closer look on this strange feather.

“What do you find?” Amelia appeared behind Mirage. “A feather. It’s not Brutus’s feather.” Mirage shows her the feather he found. “Maybe it’s mine?” Mirage knew Amelia was joking since she’s a mouse hybrid… Computer mouse hybrid.

"Mirage? Amelia?" Mirage and Amelia turned back to their house as he heard Danny calling for them. "Can you guys help us clean the house?" Mirage turns back to the forest and walks back with the feather in his pocket. "Coming bro..." Two pairs of eyes watch him leave. “Wanna bet I will clean faster without a break?” Amelia challenge. Mirage rolled his eyes. “You’re a android. Of course, you don’t need a break.” Amelia chuckles and begins to run back. Let’s hope they don’t need a day to clean the house.

Clearing the entire is tiring!!! Most of the places in this mansion are dirty. When was the last time people lived in this mansion?! "Tired already?" Crusher asked, sitting on the couch with Mirage. "You're the one to talk!" Mirage look at Crusher. "So, what were you doing out there?"

"Huh?"

"What were you and Amelia doing out there before Danny called us to clean the house?"

“Why do you ask?”

“Just curious.”

“… Amelia and I went into the forest and found a yellow feather.” This got Crusher’s interest. “A yellow feather?”

”Yeah!” Amelia joins in and sits next to Mirage. “A light yellow feather. Mirage found it and I’m trying to figure it out which bird it belongs to.” Crusher hums. “Can I see the feather?” Mirage reaches for his pocket pulls out the feather he found on the ground and gives it to Crusher. He took it and analyzed the size and the color. “You think it’s a duck hybrid?” Amelia struggle. “It might be. But don’t think so.” Crusher gives the feather back to Mirage. Amelia stood up and reach for her pocket and took out two different feathers. A blue feather and an aqua-green feather. “Where did you find those?”

“I found it in the forest, but not that deep,” Amelia answered. “Are lunch, I went inside the forest and got some fresh air. Then I saw something or someone moved so I chased after it to get a better look then I found those feathers.” Amelia explain. “Can you give me those for a moment?”

“Here.” Amelia gives both feathers to Mirage. He then compares the size to three different feathers. “What are you guys doing?” Danny and Annesa asked. Danny goes behind Crusher and lies on the chair with his arm crossed while Annesa sits across Crusher. “Amelia and I found three different feathers in the forest.”

“Feathers?” Danny asked, looking at the table. “Yes, dear.” Danny hums and opens his mouth again. “Do you think it belongs to a parrot?” Everyone looks at Danny. “Because think about it. There’s a forest behind this mansion and there must be a lot of animals. Parrots might be one of them. "

"I don't think so. Parrots live in a rainforest, I think." Amelia points out. "Let's just get some rest. It's pretty late. And, if you want to call the others, there's a cell phone in the kitchen. Good night!" Danny walked up to a bathroom and went to take a shower. Crusher followed behind. Annesa told Mirage and Amelia, saying that she would be in her room. Amelia stood up. "Whew. I'm gonna go and charge myself up. You can keep those feathers. Night!" Mirage wave at Amelia and took the feathers and went to his room.

He placed three feathers next to his bed and went to the bathroom, to take a shower. After he finished, he sat down on his bed and pulled over his blanket. He was about to close his eyes but saw a glow. A yellow glow. Mirage sat up and saw three feathers glow. His eyes widened a bit. Those feathers belong to a hybrid. A magical hybrid Animal feather doesn't glow. The reason why it glowed was still unknown to Mirage. He picks up the yellow feather, and stares at it, before putting it next to his pillow.

"I will tell the others tomorrow. It's late at night right now." Mirage slowly closes his eyes and drowns in sleep. A figure was watching him for a second before flying away into the forest.

A viking metal egyik legautentikusabb képviselője, a Skálmöld nemrég adta ki hatodik nagylemezét: az Ýdalir a Napalm Records gondozásában jelent meg. A csapat jól ismert hazánkban is: a Finntroll vendégeként például 10 éve és tavaly is láthattuk őket, most pedig főzenekarként térnek vissza október 25-én: az észt Metsatöll és a kanadai Atavistia társaságában játszanak az Analog Music Hall színpadán.

Az izlandi, Reykjavikból indult Skálmöld új lemezén is a megszokott sallangmentes módon, a nyelv és a témák autentikusságára építve idézi meg a skandináv mitológia világát: dalaikat elmondásuk szerint nem más, mint sors három skandináv istennője, a Nornák alakították ki: Urðr a múltat, Verðandi a jelent és Skuld a jövőt képviseli.

A dalok a Magyarországon is ismert Edda-énekekből merítenek, ami az izlandi hősi énekek és mítoszok sok évszázados gyűjteménye. A címadó dal kiegyensúlyozott ütemei és dallamos riffjei például egy idillikus helyszínt, Ýdalirt (magyar fordításban Tiszafavölgy), Ull isten otthonát idézik meg, amit a fenyegető hörgések és sikolyok képében a mitologikus sárkány, Níðhöggur készül feldúlni.

Az énekes-gitáros Björgvin Sigurðsson két dolgot is elmesélt a dalról: „Egyrészt nagy részét a dobosunk, Jón Geir szerezte. Korábban is hozott már riffeket és dallamokat, de ez az első alkalom, hogy egy nóta teljes vázát ő mutatta be nekünk. A nyitó riff és a verze nagy erővel, közvetlenül mutatja annak a veszélynek az erejét, amivel Ull egykor szembesült. És utána jön a dallam és a kórus: olyan erős ez a melódia, hogy ha engem kérdezel, simán íródhatott volna 1988-ban, és rákerülhetett volna a Seventh Sonra is.

Másrészről: beszélnünk kell a gitárszólóról is: Þráinn egy igazi bestia, ha gitárszólókról van szó, ezt már korábban is megmutatta. Most azonban szerintem élete eddig legjobb teljesítményét nyújtja, igazán erős anyag. Összességében nagyon erősnek érezzük ezt a dalt, és nagy örömmel nyújtjuk át a hallgatóknak. Remélem, hogy életünk végéig játszhatjuk majd élőben.” A dal klipjét itt nézhetjük meg:

A Skálmöld 5 éve nem adott ki új stúdiólemezt, így most nagy elánnal kezdtek koncertezni: nyáron a Summer Breeze-en és a Wackenen is játszottak, ahol még az izlandi elnök is megnézte őket. Októberi turnéjukon egy több mint két évtizede működő zenekar, a Metsatöll is játszik: a négytagú, Tallinnból indult csapat az észt folklór világát mutatja be epikus metal zenéjével. Utolsó lemezük ugyan 1999-ben jelent meg, de aktívan koncerteznek, sőt: idén még Japánba is eljutnak! Egyik korábbi slágerük, a Vimm klipje itt látható:

Az estét egy fiatal(abb) és dinamikus együttes, az Atavistia koncertje nyitja. A kanadai dallamos death metal csapat idén adta ki, harmadik, Cosmic Warfare című idei lemezük a világűrt is behozza a korábbi természeti és mitológiai témák mellé. Gyorsan növekvő népszerűségüket az is mutatja, hogy nemrég újra kiadták a 2017-es debütalbum egyik meghatározó dalát, a Beyond the Meadows of Fire-t is. Az új lemez monumentális címadója pedig itt hallgatható meg:
