benjamin was born in wales, however, this was just during a visit home, his parents had moved to the US YEARS before that

his parents are VERY well known actors ( like…. they have a good 30 emmys between them… if not more ) not to mention the fact that his distant relatives was one of the people that funded captiol records…… so they’re all really well known ??

he grew up w/o having to ever lift a finger to literally do anything?? like he never had to do a damn thing which made him extremely spoiled.

however, he wasn’t the only one in the mercer clan, meaning that after he started to get older, the attention was taken off of him and was placed towards his siblings, something he didn’t fully understand and it was something that upset him.

but, even then, he loved his parents and his siblings alike and would do anything for them.

due to his parents having long movie shoots, they were never at home, meaning that ben ( and the many nannies they had ) had to raise his siblings while his parents weren’t around and for that, he resented them. he wanted to go back to the old life oh him not having to do anything.

but as he got older and went to school, he realized that maybe he wanted to do the same thing his parents did.

so he too began to pursue acting and because of his parents having many, many ties to the industry, ben had his first acting gig at the age of 9.

he quickly began to let the spotlight go to his head, causing an ego issue to rise in him even at that age.

however, even if his name was famous, his parents still made him go to school like a normal person and do things that normally people would and that leveled him ever-so-slightly.

there was a few movies that had come out within the last four years one of them being a popular action movie ( think kingsman… of course. ) and a more romantic movie ( think the notebook or la-la land. ) that skyrocked his fame to the point he’s constantly doing press for those and other things that he’s been signed for.

those movies caused a very cocky side of him to come out and he quickly gained the title of “party child” by going out every weekend, having new hook ups every other day, drinking and partying his life away while he had as much fun as he possibly could.

not only did he start partying, he also got into some pretty hard core drugs because he liked the way it made him feel..

and the tabloids quickly caught on to this behavior and addiction and started following him non-stop just to try and make him look as bad as they possibly could

now, normal people would have dropped that lifestyle the second the tabloids began dragging his name through the mud, but not ben.. in fact, he got worse.. going out almost every night, bringing a different hook up home most of those nights, going to strip clubs, regular clubs & bars… anywhere he could get his next “fix”…. it didn’t matter if that was from alcohol. drugs or sex.

after a while of this, his parents had had enough, trying to get him to change via an intervention, which only pissed ben off even more and caused him to become even worse.

so his parents gave him two choices: rehab or carmel, he chose carmel… knowing for a fact his parents wouldn’t follow him out there and that he could probably still get away with most of the things he was doing now.

good  points first bc gotta be optimistic abt these things: -generally interesting, easy game play very quick for better or worse. gr8 art, p much all characteristics of miwashibas other games tbh generally high quality there -one of he people u can be a friend w/ is this gyaru girl and u can join her on a “sunday w the girls” and shes like “do u wanna be a girl nanashi?” and u can say yes or no and if u say yes shes like “gr!” and it doesnt change any other dialogue subsequent but following that theme it’s very readable as trans ambiguous. appreciated. -player chara is a middle school and u can make friends w people of like, across a broad range of age groups and none of the adults ever say any weird shit towards him or any of the other kids and i really appreciate bc usually there’s always those like....in anime tropes adults always cross bounds even if it’s only verbally that’re really questionable at best and it didn’t have that which i overall appreciate ok general continuing bc i always gotta have at least a little beef it’s my nature, gotta be callous. so! the canon trans Is legitimately canon trans according to the entire narrative and it WAS treated very well no misgendering at all! it was good But apparently a lot of that was thanks to the translator, vgperson made some notes abt it in their post abt the game on their blog. im directly cut and pasting bc yeah: ““““ Shitara insists on being called お姉さん (lady, miss) and not お兄さん (mister), which to me makes it pretty clear-cut that she identifies as female. let me tell u about my ib ride

y’all it’s my last year in college and i got some things to say! (its a long read lol)

so in hs i was like they hella advanced kid (took honors classes since freshman year) i was basically ib bound the moment i stepped into hs.

honestly nothing...and i mean nothing prepares you for ib (not even college lol).

ib was like 2 years of punishment endured by sisyphus (rolling a stone up a hill and watching it go back down, yes i read it in ib english lol am i sensing foreshadowing???). 

junior year (3rd year of high school) i was like i belong here in ib like i took honors and i know i’m smart. thinking of how well i did in my honors classes i was like this is going to be easy just a little work (lol was i dead wrong).

i remember my first day of FULL ib, it was like i was going to college (at least what i thought was college) honestly, and sitting in my ib english class and being like wow everyone here is at my level or higher.

the first year of ib english, for me ruined my self esteem like hella bad. the first paper i wrote i was told that i “did not get the assignment and on top of that my writing was not at the ib level” and from that day on i constantly felt stupid. like wow do i belong here? why am i here? every assignment i would get back asking me if i did the reading or that i did not understand (btw i did do the reading ms. h!) the nights i spent crying while writing a paper about the themes of a book were honestly my lowest point in life (like honestly i have not felt more useless than that time in my life). But no matter how many tears i shed, no matter how many nights i stayed up i still continued to turn in papers and again get the same results (except like when we had to write that huge paper comparing two books and their themes my teacher was like wow okay i see you lol). 

basically writing is not my strong point for ib but good enough to get A’s in business research classes in college lol. 

do not get me started on ib history (okay imma talk about it). i kind of blame the teacher for making me hate history (i never took a history class in my high school prior to ib we had to take economics and government). it was in the morning and i just felt like wtf i do not understand anything she would talk and talk but none of made sense, the text is so bland and im lost all the time (we took quizzes every day for the chapter reading, which i didn’t do bc i was of course doing other hw lol and i would get 0/10 or 3/10 and i would walk out of class feeling like the dumbest person in the world). i remember talking to her and she told me that maybe ib history should be dropped (like wtf)

so, basically here i’m bad a quizzes but let me tell you about the great depression and its economic impacts.

the one class i enjoyed was ib bio (i was actually pretty good like i got an A my first term like WHAT!!!) and i liked it because i guess in a way my teacher was kind of an asshole that i did not want to be on her bad side so i tried hella hard.

chemistry, not bio, will have special place in my heart (shout out to my soph. chem teacher who was my ib bio HL teacher and who told me i should have taken ib chem instead of bio lol). btw i can not tell you how periods effect the human body even though we spent a whole month learning about it.

anyways the first year of ib (i also took ib math, ib physics [okay honestly i’m still pissed my school made me take ib physics instead of ib art but that another story], ib japanese (ha! a mess truly) and ib tok) i was destroyed like i was an emotional mess my family noticed it and my friends (those that did not leave me bc i would ditch most to go to the library instead of hanging out with them [shout out to the librarian for letting me stay during lunch to do my hw!]) noticed i was not myself. I had bags under my eyes like i looked worn out like really bad. 

and yet after all that i was in full ib my senior year of hs, had i learned nothing?? (lol i didn’t until i took ib physics that is were i draw the line!!)

but thats how all ib kids look right? they complain about having no hours of sleep and have their jumbo cups of coffee? you know the ones that walk in packs talking about how photosynthesis works and the ones that stand outside the library studying in groups waiting to take “that test” in spring.

no, it should not be normalized that kids (YES KIDS, I KNOW HOW MUCH YALL WANNA GROW UP) should have 0 sleep and be expected to do everything colleges want (ok honestly go to a community college save money and transfer over). 

i learned something, college (yes even them “hard” majors) is nothing like ib (even my sis who did partial ib said her private college was easier than ib lol). but let me tell you something, ib taught me my limits and taught me when i know its too much, it also taught me (this is the dark side of ib lol) how to bullshit a paper in a way that teachers are impressed. 

it kind of desensitized me in a way, like nothing seems as stressful as my years in ib, literally nothing (not even my exam that is in 7 hours that i have yet to study for).

anyways for you ib kids out there: YOUR SLEEP, YOUR HEALTH, YOUR HAPPINESS IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN GETTING A 7 ON YOUR IB TEST. LEARN TO SAY NO, LEARN TO LOVE YOURSELF, AND LEARN THAT YOU WILL SURVIVE EVEN IF YOU GET A 1.

(lol i got a 2 on my ib japanese exam and look at me, i’m doing fine and btw i have not touched or talked japanese since graduating hs Bp)

1. Who texts more often?

en but they’re usually just weird things he’s thinking about at the time. atsushi texts most often with information or questions that are relevant to their lives. kin-chan rarely initiates texting although he’ll respond if someone else texts him

2. Who is better with kids?

atsushi!! en likes them but they’re exhausting and kin-chan often doesn’t know how to deal with them

3. Who tops/bottoms?

en tops. kin-chan bottoms. atsushi is a switch. sometimes en or kinshirou will do the opposite role but tbh not often

4. How do they eat ice cream? What’s their favorite flavors?

they all get ice cream in a cup. atsushi thinks cones are nice but more trouble than they’re worth, en just thinks they’re a pain especially if you eat slowly, and kin-chan thinks it’s gross how sometimes the ice cream melts over your hand. i think atsushi would adore ice cream with chili in it but i don’t think they have things like that in japan (am i wrong though????? idk) so instead he gets chocolate, or any unusual flavors if they sound interesting. en likes vanilla ice cream with weird toppings, especially manjuu if thats an option like in the game :D kinchan likes green tea ice cream. it doesnt taste like green tea but he still thinks it tastes good

5. Do they go on dates? What are they like?

i dont think they go out on specially designated dates very often. for special occasions maybe like kinchans birthday. he probably wants to go to a fancy restaurant for his birthday dates so those are full of en feeling kind of uncomfortable and out of place, until kinchan catches on and starts getting them private rooms so en doesnt feel judged. … they go out sometimes to do stuff i think? and those are de facto dates even though they werent planned that way, like.. they act cute and in love bc theyre too in love to do otherwise

6. Do they stargaze? Expand.

yes, they go stargazing. but en falls asleep quickly tbh and sometimes he cba to go at all so often its just kinatsu. when its kinatsu, it is sickeningly sweet. i still think that atsushi is the one whos really into astronomy and kinchan just enjoys spending time with atsushi in a romantic setting. there is lots of cuddling. …when en is there, though, he like .. makes up new constellations and speculates about the mysteries of space, &c &c. so its not as tooth-rotting but everyone still has a good time

kinchan! atsushi wakes up early too but not kinchan-level early. en .. yeah

en: fresh laundry (= clean sheets), the smell of something sweet baking, kin-chan’s soap lololatsushi: curry, green tea bc he associates it with kin-chan, that kind of autumny smell u know when the leaves are falling and its starting to get coolkin-chan: the smell of tea ceremony which may or may not include more smells than just green tea idk, the sweet curry atchan makes him, a faint hint of paint bc en is an artist but too much paint smell is unpleasant

11. Who sets the other’s ringtone to something loud and obnoxious behind their back?

LMAO if anyone would do this, en would, but i’m not convinced. possibly kin-chan sets the alarm on en’s phone to something unbearable on a day when en has to get up early

kinchan tries to lie there in silence with his eyes closed the way u r meant to do. sometimes that gets results. if it doesn’t, he probably gets up and reads in a different room. atsushi does the same, except when he lies there quietly he’s less likely than kinchan to cuddle up to whoever’s next to him bc he doesn’t want to wake them up. en … ????????????????????? ??????? if he couldn’t sleep he wouldn’t know what to do with himself so he’d just lie there until it happened

14. Who’s clumsier?

probably atsushi. none of them really strike me as super clumsy but i think kinchan is graceful. whereas atsushi can be kind of awkward sometimes im sorry bby

15. Who would hold the umbrella in the rain?

en is the tallest. he’d try to make atsushi do it but atsushi would be like “just hold the umbralla en-chan omg” so he’d do it. he’d whine about it tho. also it’d have to be a big umbrella to fit all of them under it

making en do the chores. kin-chan being a snob. those can be kind of rough bc kin-chan is a bit of a classist dick u know so sometimes he unintentionally hurts en’s feelings and then the resultant argument gets kind of messy. kinshirou and en also have frequent arguments about art but they aren’t as emotionally charged

17. Which one is a secret snuggler?

kin-chan. en is an open snuggler. and out and proud snuggler

18. Which one offers their jacket to the other when they complain they feel cold?

atsushi, but kin-chan won’t take it. u keep urself warm, atchan!! en often says the same thing but if he’s really cold he’ll accept it a;ljsdf

atsushi. en remembers their favorites &c but not every single thing at every restaurant. kin-chan also remembers i think but he doesn’t let on, he just enjoys the feeling he gets when he’s right. it’s warm and fuzzy and also slightly triumphant lmao

20. Who reaches for the other one’s hand while driving?

en … tbh … kin-chan and atsushi are more conscious of road safety!!!! ..but sometimes if the road is straight they take en’s hand when he reaches out lmao

en. he wants to zzz. a couple of times early on kin-chan said no i want the window seat i want to watch the scenery but en was so annoying about not being able to zzz as easily that he just let him take it after that

ok this meme really is just like a bunch of questions from other memes all stitched together. this question confirms it. atsushi leaves the notes. they’re cute little cheerful things for kin-chan but they are an extra way for him to nag en-chan. also occasionally en leaves obnoxious things in kin-chan’s lunch if they’ve been arguing or he’s been teasing kin-chan and then kin-chan is mad all afternoon :D

…ok so here’s an image for u. en and atsushi are getting intense over mario kart and kin-chan comes in and kind of shakes his head at them but then en invites him to join in and won’t take no for an answer so kin-chan is like ugh fine. but he doesn’t really put any effort into it at first except then he comes in 12th place in the first race whereas en and atsushi come in 1st and 2nd and it is an insult to his pride so he’s like… ok. let’s do this. and en and atsushi are startled! but in the other races he makes it up to like ……….8th place maybe. …which still isn’t good enough for him but he chooses to be disgusted w/ the game rather than w/ himself

probably kin-chan? idk i don’t think en or atsushi put unusual effort into getting dressed/getting dressed up. kin-chan might take a little extra time to make sure he looks 100% classy and put together but even he’s not gonna spend an hour or even half an hour getting ready

33. Who likes doing the dishes?

???????????????? none of them. atsushi ends up doing them most often but that doesn’t mean he enjoys it

34. Who points at a dog when they see it?

… no one, but en is the one who says “ah a dog”. but! kin-chan is the one whose face quietly lights up the brightest at the sight of the cute animal. ..as long as it doesn’t get to close bc dogs are slobbery and undignified
