OKAY SO UHM. HEART YEAH?!? Yeah. Uhm. I didnt Know what to expect when i saw the ‚heart appears in this chapter‘ tw but. I will at least give them that it was not as bad a tw as normal with them.
And in Heart‘s defence they literally show up trying to make sure Anne‘s body doesnt start deteriorating and then while theyre there everyone starts yelling at them about how much they hate them and want them to leave immediately. Like all things considered they handled that Great with only the slightest bit of accidental violence
My notes started getting a bit sparce when they showed up because i just. If i didnt i would have put Everything in here. Its like. I dont even know where to start like What. The way they talk to Witney man…. And like. BRO WHEN WITNEY STOOD UP TO THEM SO REAL. that moment when u finally get the courage to stand up for urself because u wanna help out ur new bestie because shes missing her gf who almost died and just wants to hug her for a little bit. Don’t even get me STARTED on Marcy‘s argument about Witney being a different person now,,,,,,,,, the BELOVEDS. I love them. Time to be insane over Heartney forever and ever again now welp
Like I have said, having Heart show up was one of the parts I was MOST excited for.
NOBODY likes Heart. That’s the funny part. Besides Witney, everyone who interacts with them in this chapter harbors an intense amount of resentment for them, whether they’ve been harmed by Heart or had a loved one that was. And even Witney is starting to see them in a more negative light. Not one person was comfortable with them being able to just walk around. And can you blame them? The last time most of the Wartwoodians saw them, they were attacking Sasha and breaking the music box. This is all very dangerous territory, and they have no idea that Heart and Anne have been talking, or that Anne is giving them some trust. This is just another game, another trick.
Heart knows that’s how they feel. They’re used to everyone around them absolutely despising them. So they know now to handle this situation delicately. I also think it went great, even if there was some accidental violence. Harming Maddie was entirely an accident, and what’s extra interesting is that Maddie actually recognizes it as an accident while her friends are very quick to point fingers. Maddie is the least affected by Heart’s presence since she’s never had direct contact with them before now. So her bias about them is not nearly as awful, and it allows her to see when they didn’t mean to hurt her. We have to appreciate Maddie for keeping a cool head during this whole incident and largely being the one to suggest waking Heart back up. If not they might’ve been trapped in the purple void until Anne woke up. How horrible would that be?
Oh Heartney…. My beloved. There’s something that can be said about how Heart’s spoken to Witney like this for a thousand years and how jarring it is now that Witney just doesn’t take it anymore. I like how Heart is genuinely surprised when Witney says no to them. Imagine all the messed up things that Heart’s done that Witney’s just. Gone along with. Standing up for herself and deciding she can form her own opinions is huge for her character development. Witney deserves better and it’s about damn time he realized it himself. I particularly like this section:
“Forgive me for not trusting you at present,” Witney prefaces. “But I have someone to protect now. You understand, don’t you?” Even Marcy can tell this pains her to say. Every word is a struggle, every sound hurts more and more and it’s remarkable she can stand her ground in the face of their biggest threat at present, but it must be different now that she has Marcy.
They let out a small chuckle. “Looks like I’m not the only one who’s attached. What happened to you, Wit?”
“Time,” she tells them. “And more kindness and care in one person than two centuries of twisted maniacs.”
They relax, finally, allow Marcy her clinging for now because Witney’s not going to let up either.
“It’s a good thing,” they say. “What are we if not for our vessels? I was beginning to think you’d never care.”
The difference between Witney and Heart has always been their perceptions of their vessels. Witney spent so long being afraid of hers meanwhile Heart was extremely possessive and controlling of theirs. They believe now that Witney has changed for the better in terms of fiercely defending his vessel, but with it comes the territory of Witney gaining a lot more autonomy. Now she can make her own decisions, and that means Heart’s control over him has begun to slip. While this should be a good thing overall, it also means there will be arguments between the two of them, because now Heart can’t just get everything they want from Witney. They aren’t used to this. They will have to get used to it.
And I like how Marcy is so insistent that Witney’s a different person now. She out of the gems has changed the most drastically since a thousand years ago, but the other two don’t tend to recognize it. Heart in particular keeps trying to treat him the same way they did a thousand years ago, and it simply will not work anymore. She just isn’t who she was then. There will be a new dynamic between the three of them from now on.
Will join u for sure <3 I hyperfocus on each gem ship at different times but I come back to Heartney so often it’s ridiculous. I love these little funky dudes

Ginny couldn’t sleep. Her mind was reeling like an endless fishing line. Her father -- the man she hadn’t seen in nearly ten years, who she’d thought to be dead -- was here. He was here, leading a group of survivors. Here… and not with her. Over the years, she’d thought about her father, imagining him staying with her mother until her final breath. Then, because he stayed with her, Ginny assumed he’d fallen to the same illness. It had always been nagging in the back of her mind that he’d more than likely died alone.
But he hadn’t. Arthur Weasley was alive and helping others, which was just like him. And yet, Ginny couldn’t help but feel...abandoned.
Why hadn’t he come to Bill’s and stayed with his family? It had been nearly ten years without a word. He could have at least sent word that he was okay, but no. Instead, she’d thought both her parents were gone.
Ginny rolled onto her left side. No matter how many positions she’d tried, sleep evaded her. Harry’s slow breathing warmed her cheek as she moved in closer to his warmth, hoping that his presence would soothe her unease. It had been like a ball in the pit of her stomach the moment she’d seen her father, but it had been snowballing steadily until she reached the point where she literally felt ill.
“ Fuck .” Ginny whispered the word into the silent room. She wouldn’t be able to sleep, not if her mind just wouldn’t stop spinning. Rolling over again, Ginny flipped the blankets off her body before setting her feet onto the cold wooden floor. Ignoring the chill that ran up from her toes to her spine, Ginny started to waddle away from the overly large cot she and Harry had been given.
As it was early afternoon, most people were out of the make-shift dormitory, tending to the gardens or on patrol. Arthur had sent Harry and Ginny to the bathhouse before sending them to get some well-deserved rest. He’d then taken the wide awake Victoire to walk around the village grounds. At first Ginny had hesitated to let Vic out of her sight… but it was her father, and even though she hadn’t seen him in years, she knew Arthur would protect his granddaughter with his life. She just had to think about the pure affection and joy in Arthur’s face when he’d been introduced to Vic for the first time. Ginny swore she’d seen a tear run down her father’s cheek as Vic hugged him.
Waddling as effectively as she could, Ginny reached the back window that provided a perfect view down the little hill that showed off the village. Arthur and a few others had made the church, small shops, and few houses into a community. It wasn’t much, nothing like what Seamus had been part of, but even though she’d been there for under twenty-four hours, Ginny could feel the village’s homely charm.
In the trip from the church to the bathhouse (which had once been the local school before they’d added bathtubs to the toilets), Ginny had been introduced to a handful of people, all of whom had greeted her with warm exclamations over meeting the famous daughter of Arthur. And the number of congratulations she’d received over her pregnancy felt like they numbered in the thousands. Instead of feeling off-put and suspicious like she’d been when Phil had talked to her, Ginny had felt comfortable and welcome.
“Ginny?” She turned to see her smiling father. He strode from the side door he’d come from, his eyes flickering over to Harry’s sleeping form. It didn’t take long for him to be beside her. “What are you doing up?”
“I -” She looked up into the warm blue eyes that were the same as they were when she was a child, only with a more wrinkles formed at the corners. “I couldn’t sleep.” Ginny glanced behind him. “Where is Vic?”
Arthur’s smile widened. “She made friends with a little boy named Teddy. Both his parents are dead, but his grandmother is alive and caring for him.” His hand came to rest between her shoulder blades like he used to do when she was a child. “How are you, Ginny?”
She sighed, the tension in her shoulders ebbed away as her father started rubbing soothing circles into her back. “I - I don’t really know.”
Arthur nodded. “That’s understandable. This is a lot to take in.”
“You can say that again.” Ginny let her eyes slowly shut.
“This is a lot to take in.”
Ginny opened her eyes to see her smirking father. She shook her head, unable to stop her lips from curling up. “Dad,” Ginny met his gaze. “I’ve missed you.”
“I’ve missed you too, darling.” He leaned over and kissed the top of her head. “I’m sorry I haven’t been there for you. I -” Arthur choked up. “I - I’m sorry I wasn’t there when you needed me. You and B -Bill.”
Ginny turned away from the window, pressing her body as close to her father as her stomach would allow. “Oh, Dad.” Everything she’d been feeling, sadness over losing Bill, the astonishment of seeing her father, not to mention the dreaded pregnancy hormones she’d been facing, all welled to the surface, spilling over in the form of tears. There was no way for her to stop the waterworks.
“Ginny.” The gentleness of Arthur’s tone just made her cry harder. He rocked the two of them slowly, back and forth
She stayed in his arms, her face soaking his dark button-up shirt for what felt like hours. Eventually, Ginny pulled away from her father’s chest. She wiped under her eyes. “I’m -” She cleared her throat. “I’m sorry.”
Arthur smiled at her fondly. “You have nothing to be sorry for.” His grin faltered. “I, on the other hand,” he took a deep breath, “I need you to know, I was on my way to find you. To Bill’s house. But around Witney, I met this man and his son… They needed help. His wife had just died and his son was so young. I figured that once I helped them settle somewhere, I would make my way back towards you and Bill, but… I found another lost soul and another until I was heading a little group of ten people.”
Ginny knew her father was a helpful man, he was always the kind stranger who would stop to help you change a flat tire, but to build a colony…
“Eventually, I decided I needed to get the people further from London, so we packed up and headed north. We traveled for weeks until...” He glanced back out at the village. “We found our home.”
Arthur turned back to her, his eyes beseeching. “I thought about you all the time, but I couldn’t leave all these people. And I knew Harry would take care of you.” A smile reappeared on his lips. “I’d say you two took care of each other. And if I may,” he placed a hand on her stomach. “You two are happy?”
The fluttering movement of her child moving made Ginny place her hand next to her father’s. “So happy, Dad.”
“That’s all I can ask for.” Arthur kissed her forehead.
“Dad,” Ginny swallowed the lump in her throat. “You know you have nothing to be sorry for, right?”
Arthur’s blue eyes met hers, shame still overwhelming in their depths. “I should have come and told you I was all right. I imagine you’ve thought me dead all these years.”
Ginny shook her head. “No, you did the right thing. You helped people who needed you. But I do have to ask something.”
  “Anything.”
“How -” Ginny licked her lips, trying to think of the best way to ask her question. She didn’t have a clue how her father was gonna react. “What happened to Mum?”
It was like all the energy drained from Arthur instantly. His shoulders sagged as his eyes welled with tears. “Your mother,” he cleared his throat blinking rapidly. “Your mother didn’t want me to die with her. She knew I would never leave her so - she took mat - matters into her own hands.”
Ginny let his words wash over her. “She took --” Her jaw dropped. “Are you saying she killed herself?”
The pain in Arthur’s eyes said everything is mouth was unable to. Even though, logically, Ginny had known her mother was gone years ago. Grief sucker-punched her.
“She locked the door a few hours after you left and --” Arthur shut his mouth, shaking his head. “She didn’t want me to die too.”
Ginny gripped the back of her father’s shirt, holding him close again. “Mum always was willing to do anything to keep us all safe.”
Arthur nodded. “Yes, she was such an amazing woman and mother.” They stayed in silence for a while, taking comfort in the other’s arms until Arthur broke the quiet. “I miss her.”
“Me too,” Ginny admitted. “I always thought she would be with me when I gave birth.”
“She would have been.” Arthur smiled fondly. “Molly would have been by your side the whole time.”
Ginny knew he was right. “But at least I get to have you there.”
Arthur’s eyes widened before crinkling. “It will be an honor to be there with you.”
  XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Harry took a swig from the canteen. His hair was plastered to his forehead from the sweat. Arthur had asked for his help fortifying the walls surrounding the little village. It reminded Harry of London, with metal scraps converted into barriers and wooden structures crafted at strategic points for guards.
But there was something completely different than London: the atmosphere. The overcrowded streets of London always felt as if hands were closing around your throat, no sympathy or care. If you died, you died. Just one less mouth to feed. But this little community… Arthur had formed a home for everyone.
A hand slapped him hard on the back, nearly making Harry spit out his drink. He sputtered as he turned to glare at Oliver Wood.
Wood was a few older than Harry, with the build of a professional football keeper -- and seeing as he'd been one for years before Morsmordre swept the nation, it made sense.
"Sorry, mate." Wood pulled his hand back with a guilty smile. "You all right?"
"Ye -." Harry cleared his throat. "Yeah. I'm fine."
"Good. Good." Wood's smile shifted back from concern to excitement. "Did you hear what we're working on once we complete the walls?"
Harry hadn't. He'd only been in the community for a few weeks and was still just settling in. He hadn't preoccupied himself with gossip or renovation, focusing his energy on his family instead.
Vic had finally broken down over her father, crying in his arms as he helped her dress after a bath. It had started off as a sniffle or two, then a few tears, before erupting into body shaking sobs. Harry had pulled the weeping girl into his arms, running his hands over her damp head. Later that night before bed, Vic had asked why her daddy had died. Ginny had thankfully been with Harry during that breakdown, and between the two of them, they soothed the little girl.
Ginny… Harry had to admire her. Though she was grieving her brother too, she had taken on Victorie's pain and comforted the child. Tears had fallen from all their eyes that night.
Within the week of being in the village, they had gone to the healer of the community, a nice but stern woman named Poppy. She had checked over Ginny and the baby, using her fingers to feel around Ginny's stomach. She wasn't entirely sure how far along Ginny was, but she warned them that the baby could come any day.
Panic had started to course throughout Harry's body at the words. Any day . He wasn't nearly prepared. They had started a little nest at Bill's. A cot, some decent clothing, nappies -- as many cloth nappies as they could find, and some minor things. But they hadn't been able to take most of it with them. Ginny had managed to gather a few things from their collection, but most of it had to stay behind. Ginny, however, stayed cool and calm. That night, she snuggled up to him, whispering sweet words of comfort and love into his ear, which was exactly what he needed.
“Harry?” Oliver placed his hand back onto Harry’s shoulder, bring him out of his recollection.
“Sorry.” Harry’s hand came up to rub the back of his neck. “No, I have no idea what we’re working on next.”
Oliver’s eyes became alight with excitement. “A football field!” Oliver was so enthusiastic Harry was afraid he might wet himself.
Harry smiled. "Vic will love that."
"I'm planning on starting a team." Wood had a glint in his eye that made Harry afraid for the other team. Oliver was a competitive man, to say the least. "You in?"
"Er -" Before Harry could give a solid answer, Lisa (Poppy's trainee) came running from behind the converted bathhouse.
"Harry!" The woman sucked in a large gulp of air as she skidded to a stop in front of him. "It's Ginny." Another gulp. "She's in labor and she asked me to come get you."
  XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Ginny couldn't take her eyes off Harry. Harry and the baby. Their baby girl. It had been a long twenty hours, but the end result… Ginny was in awe of it all. Poppy had made sure everything had gone smoothly as possible. And now, two hours later, Ginny was tired but unable to sleep.
The baby let out a whimper, her lip trembling. Harry started making cooing noises, bringing the baby up to his chest and bouncing slowly. She sighed and settled into his shirt.
All those visions of Harry caring for their baby didn't even come close to the reality. If anyone asked, Ginny would blame the tears welling in her eyes on the hormones, but she knew it was more than that. Keeping her voice low, hoping to encourage the peace, she whispered, "Well done."
Harry slowly lifted his gaze up from the bundle tucked in his arms. His eyes were overly bright as he met hers. The contented smile on his lips spoke more than words. He made his way over to the bed Ginny rested in, being careful not to jostle the baby too much.
As he sat down on the edge of the mattress a quiet knock came from the bedroom door. It opened slowly, Arthur's red and grey head peering around the frame. "You two up for a couple visitors?"
Ginny looked at Harry who nodded. "Sure, Dad. Come on in."
The door swung wide revealing Vic peeking around her grandfather's legs. Arthur had a hand in the girls shoulder. Ginny smiled at them. "Hey Vic, wanna come meet your new cousin?"
Harry gave Vic an encouraging nod, boosting the newborn up higher up his shoulder. Vic stepped hesitantly into the room, moving as if there could be a bomb under each floor tile. Finally, she reached the bed.
"Come on up." Ginny patted the spot beside her, ignoring the pain in her body as she scooted towards the other edge. Vic climbed up the mattress and shared Ginny’s pillow.
Arthur came over to the mattress, holding a spare pillow. He placed it on Vic's lap. "Now, whenever Harry can tear himself away from my new, beautiful granddaughter, you can hold her." Vic's eyes grew the size of saucers.
Harry smiled at Arthur. "Not an easy feat!"
  Arthur nodded understandingly. "Never is."
Ginny looked at Vic. "Do you want to hold the baby?"
Vic bit her bottom lip, clearly debating with herself. Finally, she nodded.
Harry gently turned the baby so she was laying in his arms rather than against his chest. "Hold out your arms like this." Vic followed his example, her arms held out stiffly.
Ginny smiled as she helped the girl correct her hold. "There you go, luv."
Harry slowly placed the infant into her cousin’s arms. Vic's focus never strayed from the bundle. "She has a lot of hair.”
Ginny laughed, running her hands over the baby’s bright red hair. “And it’s messy, just like her father’s.”
Harry smiled down at them, his eyes meeting Ginny’s in a loving look. “Poor kid.”
She shook her head. “I love your hair!”
As Harry opened his mouth, most likely to make another cheeky comment, the baby let out a loud whimper. Her eyes had opened, showing off the classic baby blue that Ginny was certain would turn emerald green like Harry’s. The baby’s bottom lip trembled before she started to cry loudly.
Victoire looked around at the adults, her concern obvious. Ginny smiled at her. “It’s nothing you did, Vic. She just hungry from the sounds of it.” She gently took the baby from the girl’s arms. It took a moment for Ginny to adjust herself to attach the baby to her breast, but it became marginally easier when Harry came over and helped. Once the infant was happily sucking away, Ginny turned her attention back to the room.
Vic watched the baby with a curious expression. That contented smile had spread back across Harry’s lips as he looked at her. But it was Arthur’s look of pride that made tears spring to Ginny’s eyes.
“So what’s her name?” Arthur asked, his voice rougher than normal.
Ginny turned towards Harry. They hadn’t really discussed a name yet, still being in a state of nirvana just getting to hold their daughter. “Her -” Harry blinked rapidly. “Oh, right.” His hand jumped to the back of his neck. “Well, I was thinking,” he paused, taking a deep breath, “What about Molly?”
“I -” The tears that she’d been able to hold back before now fell onto her cheeks. “I love it.” Ginny looked down at the little girl in her arms. “Little Molly Potter. She looks like a Molly.”
A choking noise made Ginny look up. Arthur was crying now, tears sliding off his cheeks. “Your mother would be so honored.” He moved over to Harry and hugged him before leaning down and kissing the top of Ginny’s head. “I have to go and see to the wall. I’ll be back later. Do you want to come with me Vic and give these two a bit of alone time?” The young girl started to shake her head, but then Arthur said the magic words. “We can go see Teddy.”
Victoire beamed at her grandfather. “Okay.” She kissed Ginny’s cheek before hopping off the mattress. She went around the frame to hug Harry before leaving the bedroom with Arthur, who closed the door gently behind them.
Harry sighed, moving around the bed to take the spot Vic had vacated. “Your father knew just what we needed.”
“Well, he has been through this a few times,” Ginny chuckled lightly. She looked down at Molly, whose eyelids had started to flutter shut. After a few seconds of quiet, Molly’s mouth fell open as she fell asleep.
“Gin.” Harry sounded as if he’d swallowed a jar of sand. She looked up at him to see more emotion in his eyes than ever before. “Thank you.”
She shook her head. “There’s nothing to thank me for. I love you and this is everything I could want.”
He leaned over and kissed her lightly, lovingly. When he pulled back, his nose nuzzled hers. “I love you too.”
Ginny knew she must have the sappiest smile on her lips, but in that moment, she didn’t care. After all the shit they’d gone through, all the heartache and trauma, they were getting a little slice of happiness and peace they craved. Ginny could only hope that this would last forever, the feeling that the doomed days were over. When she looked down at Molly, hope was easy. When Harry wrapped his arms around her shoulder, hope seemed effortless. Ginny had everything she needed to truly live, and what more could she ask for?

There was no theme this week. Rather, the couples continued to dance with the hopes of landing in the quarterfinals and advancing closer to the mirrorball trophy. There were two rounds this week--solo dances and then the dance off. And we finally saw our first 10s of the season as well as the first perfect scores!
Find out who earned those!
Kate and Pasha: It’s such a shame that Kate and Pasha went home before Sean. They were worlds better than him. But Kate got to do a sweet tribute to her sister, who died right before Kate was cast on the show. Her jive to one of her sister’s favorite songs was fun, emotional and really good. I can’t wait to see her dance again during the finale!
James and Emma: James and Emma continued to dominate the dancefloor, this time with a soulful contemporary. It was absolutely beautiful and James handled it like a pro. He even earned the judges’ praises for how he pulled off a lift with Emma like he had done a thousand times. Because of his cumulative scores, he and Emma were exempted from dance off and automatically given two extra points, which put them at the top after getting all tens for the routine.
Hannah and Alan: Hannah bounced back and delivered a lovely quickstep. She needs to be more consistent now as we approach the finals if she wants to make it to the end.
Ally and Sasha: Ally got the first perfect score for her strong paso and yet she still ended up in the bottom two. I don’t know why people aren’t voting for her, unless it’s another case of “she’s doing so well, of course she’ll make it.” How many times do we have to do this? Ally should make it to the finals and we need to vote for her!
Kel and Witney: Kel took Witney to the set of All That and she got to meet the new cast. They showed off some of their moves, which the cast approved of. Kel’s confidence continues to grow and it’s making him a better dancer. His salsa sizzled and I would love to see what he does for a freestyle if he makes it into the finals.
Lauren and Gleb: Lauren’s jive really was impressive when you find out she’s been dancing with broken ribs almost the entire season. She’s never shown any hints of pain, even during this dance which required precise movements set to a quick beat. Way to go!
Sean and Jenna: You know what? I think I finally figured out why Sean is still here. It’s just how America is--a mediocre white man gets to advance while talented POC and women get shoved to the side. And so we have someone who should’ve gone home weeks ago still here over dancers like Kate, Karamo and especially Sailor.
Here’s who face each other in the dance off, what they danced and who came out on top:
Kel and Witney vs. Ally and Sasha (jive): Ally Sean and Jenna vs. Kate and Pasha (cha-cha): Kate Hannah and Alan vs. Lauren and Gleb (salsa): Hannah
Next time: It’s the quarter finals! We’re getting close to the end!

"Dancing With the Stars" pros Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson just wrapped season 27 of the hit show.
Although neither took home the coveted Mirrorball Trophy, they aren’t complaining. The couple, who announced their engagement in June, enjoyed cheering one another and their partners on throughout the season.
Chmerkovskiy, who partnered with actor Nancy McKeon this season, says he was devastated when Johnson and her partner, "The Bachelor’s" Joe Amabile, were eliminated.
"It’s kinda like, you have double the chances of winning, really," Chmerkovskiy told “Good Morning America” on competing against his fiance. "Her win is my win and vice versa."
"I don’t think we’re really competitive against each other," Johnson "I think naturally we are competitive people, but when it comes to each other — I mean I was rooting for him and Nancy the whole time, and he was definitely rooting for me and Joe."
Despite always having each other’s back, Chmerkovskiy said that both of their main interests when it comes to the show will always be their dancing partners.
"We’re there to provide an opportunity for our partners, so ultimately that’s our priority," he said. "I know she’s gonna do a great job because that’s her job — and I’m always gonna do a great job because we both take our jobs very seriously."
"Part of that job is to give our celebrity partners a chance to win. We would never jeopardize that because we love each other. Our integrity to work is very different from our private life," he added.
Johnson, who won the competition last season with her partner Adam Rippon, went home this season after a double elimination during the show’s semifinals. Chmerkovskiy and McKeon were the third couple eliminated.
After a busy season of non-stop training, the couple is set to embark on the "Dancing with the Stars: Live!" winter tour, which kicks off December 15th and hits over 60 cities.
"This will be our first official tour as a couple and as engaged, which is awesome and I can’t wait," Johnson said. "We’re going to be planning a wedding and then we’re gonna be dancing the night away every night. It’s gonna be so much fun."
Chmerkovksiy said audiences can expect new elements to enhance the show experience.
"The celebrities change, the dancing changes, the choreography's different, the production’s different," he shared. "We’re constantly coming up with ways to integrate the audience, so it’s a very interactive show. It’s an experience more than a theater sit-down. You really feel like you’re part of the experience."
Some of the pros confirmed for the tour include Witney Carson, Alan Bersten, Artem Chigvintsev, Sasha Farber Hayley Erbert, Emma Slater, Britt Stewart, Brandon Armstrong and Gleb Savchenko.
"This is one of our best groups of dancers yet, so I think it’s gonna be awesome just for all of the fans, especially to see all of us with our high energy and great dancing on stage," Johnson said.
Six celebrities, including season 27 winner Bobby Bones, Milo Manheim, Joe Amabile, Juan Pablo Di Pace, Mary Lou Retton and John Schneider, are also scheduled to appear on the tour.
Johnson and Chmerkovskiy still plan to fit some alone time in outside of the madness of the action packed tour in the coming months.
"We do love to find a little diner and have breakfast together," Johnson said. "That’s our favorite thing to do."
"It’s fun to explore the local culture," Chmerkovskiy added.
"I grew up in New York City," he continued. "We live in Los Angeles. It’s nice to remind yourself what this country’s made up of and the small towns that really make this country great and make our show a success. To able to go into those little nooks around the country and get to know the communities and then perform for them is really special."
Interacting with the faces supporting the show from across the nation is one of his favorite parts of the job. “This tour celebrates all of our fans and all of the people that made our show such a success for such a long time,” he said.
Johnson can’t wait for the New York City stop. "Radio City Music Hall — are you kidding me! And my whole family’s flying out for that one."
Chmerkovskiy shares the sentiment but also anticipates packed venues at smaller stops in the tour schedule. "You think the big cities have the big theaters — the fancy theaters — but honestly some of the smallest towns you stumble on some of the most beautiful theaters."
"The best crowd and audiences too!" Johnson added.
And of course, wedding planning, will also be in the mix.
"We’re planning to not invite anyone, so very easy planning," Chmerkovskiy joked.
"I have a lot of help," Johnson said. "We have a planner. My mom’s super into weddings, so we’re gonna do it."
"I am zero help, but I will look SO good," Chmerkobskiy ensured.
Check out tickets for the “Dancing with the Stars: Live!” winter tour here.

Like the rest of the ‘DWTS’ universe, pro Val Chmerkovskiy was so proud of Sharna Burgess for getting her very first ‘DWTS’ win. Val told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY how ‘happy’ he was for Sharna and Bobby Bones!
DWTS pro Val Chmerkovskiy, 32, didn’t think Bobby Bones, 38, and Sharna Burgess, 33, would win Dancing With the Stars season 27 in the end, but he’s so glad Sharna got her very first mirrorball trophy. Most of us were shocked by Bobby and Sharna’s surprise win, but not Val! “Nothing really surprises me,” Val told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY after the Nov. 19 finale.  “At the end of the day, I’m happy for Sharna. This is long overdue in the body of efforts and the body of work that she’s produced on the show. Never in a million years did I think this would be the season that she’d get the trophy. That’s how it happens and she deserves it. I thought Bobby gave it his all, and I’m very happy for him.”
Sharna has come very close to winning Dancing With the Stars a number of times in the past, even coming in second place in season 26 with NFL playerJosh Norman, 30. Now she can call herself a winner! Val is no stranger to winning DWTS. He’s won twice already — with Laurie Hernandez, 18, and Rumer Willis, 30.
If you need more DWTS, you can catch the pros and celebs on tour starting in Dec. 2018. Pros like Val, Alan Bersten, 24, Gleb Savchenko, 35, Sasha Farber, 34, Artem Chigvintsev, 36, Brandon Armstrong, 25, Witney Carson, 25, Emma Slater, 29, Britt Stewart, 29, Jenna Johnson, 24, and Hayley Erbert, 24, will be touring with celebs like Milo Manheim, 17, Juan Pablo Di Pace, 39, John Schneider, 58, Mary Lou Retton, 50, Joe Amabile, 32, and Bobby. DWTS: Season 27 Premiere Night 1
We are back in the ballroom with a full cast!! Great premiere episode!
Mary Lou Retton & Sasha Farber – Cha Cha – As a little girl I loved Mary Lou. Watching her in the Olympics made me want to be a gymnast but I was not athletic at all. I think this is a great start for her and Sasha. I was surprised that Len was the one giving out a score higher than the other 2. I always feel bad for the first couple because I always think they get underscored. I hope she’s  around for a while. I want to see her journey. 6, 7, 6 = 19
Milo Manheim & Witney Carson – Cha Cha – I had no idea who this kid was until tonight. I read a review that said he’s the son of actress Camryn Manheim. I had no idea!!! He was a nice surprise when he started dancing. Milo could be fantastic and might win this thing if he can control those long limbs! I love how everyone is making a big deal out of Witney “walking” him through the cha cha in the package. It was the first day and good teachers would start with walking through the steps.  7, 6, 7 = 20
Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe – Foxtrot – I’m probably one of the only people who hasn’t seen all the Harry Potter movies and didn’t really know who Evanna was before this. Keo seemed so excited to be her partner and it was adorable. I thought she did a good job for the first dance and Len was a bit too harsh on her. I mean of course there are always things to work on but a 5 was just too low. Come on Grumpy Goodman! CAI was right about her shoulders and she does need to control them. I loved their outfits too!  7, 5, 6 = 18
Danelle Umstead and Artem Chigvintsev – Foxtrot – Danelle is incredible. It is scary enough to dance when you can see the steps your teacher is telling you to do. That was amazing. They have a great partnership which is what they need to get through this. She does need to relax her shoulders but who wouldn’t hold tension their first time dancing in front of a crowd when you are blind. Danelle is fantastic, has already had me in tears and I can’t wait to see her journey. 6, 6, 6 = 18
Bobby Bones & Sharna Burgess – Jive – I have never heard of this guy! By looking at him I thought he would be almost like Andy Dick and kind of awkward on his first dance. I was really impressed with how he moved and he did a good job. I think he got a too little excited when he finished the dance and I hope Sharna is okay.  7, 6, 7 = 20
Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke -  Salsa – These two have amazing chemistry and he definitely knows how to move. Cheryl is one of my fave all time pros. I definitely want him to stay around for a while. In fact I think Cheryl could win with him. I had a feeling he’d be good but He’s even better than I thought. He just needs to clean up his movements and he’s golden. 7, 7, 8 = 22
Nikki Glaser and Gleb Savchenko – Salsa – I think for someone who was scared to dance in public this was good. I think the judges were a bit harsh on her. She does need to let go and really embrace the dance but for a first time it wasn’t horrible. 6, 5, 6 = 17
Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten – Jive – Another “star” I have no idea who she is. I am happy that Alan is a pro again. Alexis had a great start. She needs to clean up her movements some but with 12.3 million followers she will probably win.  7, 7, 7 = 21
John Schneider and Emma Slater – Foxtrot – As a 3/4 year old, I was in love with “Bo Duke.” I even told my mom to name my baby brother “Bo”… she refused. That was probably for the best. I did get to meet him years later and he was very lovely. I was excited to see him on the show this year but as with any star I am excited for I worry they will be awful. He was pretty good. The foxtrot is a hard dance to start the season with and Len is much harsher on the ballroom dances than he is the Latin dances. 7, 5, 6 = 18
Tinashe and Brandon Armstrong – Jive – These contestants are making me feel old because I don’t know this performer either. I did know all the articts she said she went on tour with though. I always love seeing how excited a new pro is. I think Brandon lucked out in getting a great partner. They were fantastic and might just be the couple to beat this year. Once she refines everything she’s going to be on fiiiiiiiire. 8, 7, 8 = 23
Nancy McKeon and Val Chmerkovskiy – Quickstep – Another of my faves from childhood. I loved “Facts of Life” while growing up. Jo was my fave girl because she didn’t take any crap. Bruno is ridiculous about her facial expressions… Ricki Lake was the worst with it and Nancy was nowhere near Ricki’s facial expressions. Nancy did a good job for her first dance. She just needs to trust herself, her body and the dance a bit more. 6, 6, 6  = 18
Joe Amabile and Jenna Johnson –Quickstep – I don’t watch The Bachelorette anymore so I don’t know Joe. I think his nerves got the best of him and this was a really hard dance to start the show off with. He did get off in his moves and messed up a bit. I do think the 4 was way too harsh but he was the weakest dancer of the night. He will probably be the first person gone. Sorry Joe. 5, 4, 5 = 14
DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold – Cha Cha – I have to say it… I LOVE FOOTBALL PLAYERS ON THIS SHOW!!!!!  They are always so good and have great personalities. I am going to have to change my votes! I was throwing them toward John just for nostalgia but oh boy… DeMarcus is fantastic. I want him to win!!!  8, 7, 8 = 23
It was a great opening night!! We had some surprises and some disappointments. I’ve voted, I hope you did too. I really enjoy this cast! Let me know your thoughts!!

DWTS S27 Week ONE!!! Nights 1+2 review
Man, when I saw Tom I suddenly felt like it had been AGES since I watched this show, then I realised, I didn’t even watch the athlete season. My friends told me it’s not worth it so I will probably never watch it.
Idk how the two-night thing is gonna work out so this is a combined post.
Night 1
Mary Lou Retton and Sasha Farber - Cha cha okay, was that video package kinda short? Also maybe it’s cos I’m not American but I’m soooo over all the “yay USA” themed dances. Anyhows, Mary Lou is a former US gymnast who won gold in 1984, the first US woman to do so. No mention of her current embroilment in the USAgym-gate. Okay, she can definitely remember steps. She needs to work on timing and also getting those latin shapes. 6-7-6 T19 huh that’s kinda harsh?? Might have been 1-2 pts higher if she went later I think.
Milo Manheim and Witney Carson - Cha cha Sorry Milo, but Zombies aiiiin’t that great. In case anyone doesn’t know, Zombies is a cheesy af DCOM musical. I really like his energy though. “Tell me about yourself.” “I’m still in school.” I love that. It’s quite refreshing cos we don’t get young male contestants as often as the girls. Whoa, he has those hips! I don’t think his limbs were as messy as the judges made it sound. His legs looked a little awkward during the cha-cha walks. That aside, this dance was so fun to watch! 7-6-7 T20 “That’s good, that’s good!” Witney tells him. Again, I think he could get a tad higher scores if he went later.
Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe - Foxtrot OMG Keo’s reaction was priceless. Evanna probably needs no introduction, but anyway, Luna Lovegood. She wanted to go to dance college, but was rejected so DWTS was the next best thing. I think the song did them in, but I found some of her movements too sharp for a foxtrot. She has nice frame and did something weird with her hand once. Definitely has potential. 7-5-6 T18 oooooh Len that was harsh. Tom, the correct term is he who shall not be named.
Speaking of, I like the new green glitter score background.
Danelle Umstead and Artem Chigvintsev - Foxtrot Danelle is a blind alpine skier but gosh she has good footwork and lots of grace. Her shoulders came up a bit and I think she had to adjust her footing going into the spin. When I saw the opening, I was like “Artem is making her walk down the steps to him??!!” At least they went down together. I think her and Artem will be a very nice, friendly, genuine partnership. 6-6-6 T18
Side note: I really didn’t need to hear “Rise Up” again.
Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess - Jive Bobby is...a lot of things. I’ll say entertainer. His main schtick right now is his country radio show. Guy has boundless energy, I’ll give him that. Jive suits him. He had to point his feet, and the footwork was real rough. If he was judged for enthusiasm though, he’d get a perfect score. 7-6-7 T20 yeah that’s too high. I think the judges got a little high off his energy. I think he should be sitting at a 16-17.
Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke - Salsa Juan Pablo is an actor most recently from Fuller House and Mamma Mia. Uh huh, here’s the sexy hot couple of the season right here. It took really long to get into actual salsa though. Some of the moves looked unpolished and uncertain, but he had a sense of timing and can move. his. hips. 7-7-8 T22 haha we all knew Bruno would like it.
Ayyyy hey Rashad! Apparently he’s going into hosting, showing us the DWTS BTS web series. Go support that guy, he’s an all-round all-star.
Nikki Glaser and Gleb Savchenko - Salsa Nikki is a comedian and entertainer. She told Gleb he looks like he should be emerging from a pool, which I’m pretty sure he has done before for some modelling thing. Apparently she got injured over the weekend. Could have affected the performance. She seemed fine in rehearsal but looked really ginger and reserved while dancing. Her limbs looked awkward. Arms were kept really close to her body and her legs...I don’t know any other way to describe it except “baby giraffe”. 6-5-6 T17
Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten - Jive Alexis is an instagram influencer and model. She’s doing the show for her late mother who enjoyed it. Okay I’ll say it here, she is the one to beat technique-wise. My only complain is she could be more bouncy. Everything else was spot on IMO. I think her possible downfall would be her sketchy voting base. Lots of insta followers doesn’t necessarily mean they will vote. We’ve seen that with past social media stars. 7-7-7 T21 I think she should be equal with Juan Pablo honestly.
John Schneider and Emma Slater I’ve never heard of his Dukes of Hazard show but his name sounds familiar. He’s done so many things, I’ve probably seen him somewhere. Well he certainly has the right attitude. His dancing was...here and there. Some times I was like ‘oh, that’s not bad’ and then i’d be like ‘okay that needs improvement’. I think he’s good enough and charming enough to appeal to the DWTS demo though. 7-5-6 T18
Tinashe and Brandon Armstrong - Jive Tinashe is a singer...who I’ve never heard of. But I live under a rock. Brandon is newly promoted and awwww he’s so adorable. He gave her lots of content which she handled fairly well. She was very clean but I feel like it was toooo clean. Like you know how if you strip water of too many minerals it’ll just burn your tongue. I feel like sometimes I was watching a stick figure dance. Could have used more bounce. CAI’s comment didn’t make sense. 8-7-8 T23
Nancy McKeon and Val Chmerkovskiy - Quickstep Nancy was an actor from a show called The Facts of Life which probably pre-dates me. She has the facial expressions!!! Quickstep on week 1 is no joke but she kept up for most of it. Yup she was wobbly at times, because she was lacking the contact in hold with Val, but that seems to be a Thing TM with all his partners so it’s more Val’s fault. For a while I was like “omg is Val choreographing a solid routine with moves in hold??” and then they broke hold. I’m surprised Len didn’t call that out. Nancy was reall animated in that section though. 6-6-6 T18
Joe Amabile/”Grocery Store Joe” and Jenna Johnson - Quickstep Joe is from the Bachelor franchise and got his nickname because he owns a grocery store. He wants to become Dancing Joe now. He’s kinda cute, sorta charming in a slightly-awkward-little-self-depreciative way. Very likeable guy. I think with his personality and the bachelor backing, he’ll stick around for a while. Yeah that definitely wasn’t the best dance. He was flat footed, made mistakes, getting QS definitely didn’t help either. Can see he is trying to stay positive. 5-4-5 T14
Demarcus Ware and Lindsey Arnold Soon to be NFL hall of fame inductee. Has won the Super Bowl. You know, I hate American football as a sport, but these NFL guys always come in and work hard and it pays off. Demarcus can move and seems to have hella groove, with personality to boot. He’ll have to clean up some lines, but I can see him growing a lot on this show. Such a delight! 8-7-8 T23
Night 2
Ohhhhhh I love that opening number!! I can see why it’s not a premiere opener but wowwwww.
Okay so apparently the bottom half after judges score and votes from night 1 will have to dance again. Everyone else would have rehearsed a second dance for nothing...I guess. I feel like maybe they should have let everyone dance their second dance, but only score those in jeopardy.
Rashad out there with a message for Demarcus. I was kinda waiting for that the first night.
Safe - Demarcus, Tinashe, and...JOE!!!!!! That was the chillest reaction to a (not so) surprise safe.
Jeopardy - Nancy
DWTS Jr pros dance and make me feel old. Jake Monreal!!! And okay, JT Church has some ballroom moves. There’s one brunette guy (not Sage) who has nice hair. And the blond boy looks a little familiar but I can’t put my finger on it.
Safe - Juan Pablo, Bobby
Jeopardy - Nikki, John, Alexis
Alexis and Bobby’s placements are telling about the voters.
Okay. I watched the two episodes back to back. People I forgot about by the time I started night 2: Mary Lou, John, Danelle, Nancy. Also I knew Tinashe, Evanna and Juan Pablo were there but I kinda forgot how their dances looked.
Lmao Milo and Tom. “Why are you so scared about what I’m gonna ask you?”
Amy Purdy with a message for Danelle. She looks so different than I remember.
Safe - Milo, Evanna
Jeopardy - Danelle, Mary Lou
Okay so summary Top 7: Demarcus, Milo, Juan Pablo, Bobby, Evanna, Tinashe, Joe Bottom 6: Alexis, Danelle, John, Nikki, Nancy, Mary Lou
So they are bringing back the Judge’s choice encore from when they had result shows. This week: Demarcus.
They introduced the Junior stars. I’m having a hard time remembering who is who but: - JT’s “OH MY GOSH” when his pro-skateboarding partner did a trick - Mackenzie Ziegler is not a “pop star” she’s as good as a pro dancer. WHO’S BRIGHT IDEA WAS IT TO MAKE HER A CONTESTANT???!?!?
Can they intro the Jr pros too? All the cast of Juniors including the adult pros do a dance number and all I get from it is that red latin shoes are not in style.
Okay so we don’t have time for 6 dances or something so John is safe and won’t have to dance for his life any more.
Couples will dance the same style as night 1, but the choreo and song will be different.
Mary Lou and Sasha - cha cha okay I dunno what their rehearsal strategy was, but this dance felt very basic and less rehearsed than their first. She was more precise and controlled, but seemed to have less energy in it. 7-7-7 T21
Danelle and Artem - foxtrot the rehearsal vids seem to imply the couples were only given Monday night to come up with their second numbers. If so it must have disadvantaged Danelle. She was more timid and reserved. 6-6-6 T18
Nikki and Gleb - salsa She looked more confident this time. Legs less giraffe-y. Her arms were still awkward. 6-6-6 T18
Alexis and Alan - jive Ooooohhh this was good. Her technique was good again, but I think the mood of this dance suited her far better. I think she had a lot more energy and personality in this performance. 7-8-8 T23 Len says it is the best dance of the night and I agree as does Bruno.
Nancy and Val - quickstep Oh dang, the shorter dress exposed Nancy’s shortcomings. Her lines were wonky and she still looked a little unstable sometimes in hold, which was easier to see in this costume. It also made her look like Tweety Bird tumbled dry, They stayed in hold this time though. 7-7-7 T21 that seems generous.
Okay so Mackenzie Ziegler sings. She has a decent voice. Gotta set herself apart from her sister I guess.
Online voting for night 2 was open for...10 minutes? And I wager only US east coasters could vote.
Results time! (finally.)
Safe - Danelle, Alexis (yay!), Mary Lou
Nikki vs Nancy...Eliminated: Nikki. no surprise.
My favourites are Milo and Alexis. Also rooting for Danelle on a slightly lower tier. Surprisingly, Evanna isn’t really on the forefront of my mind.
Also, whether or not the couple danced on the second night might affect their memorability. Like, Bobby make an impact night 1, but after night 2 I kinda forgot about him. The only person who didn’t perform night 2 who I remember is Milo. Everyone else I was like “oh wait, who’s here again?”

Interacting with the faces supporting the show from across the nation is one of his favorite parts of the job. “This tour celebrates all of our fans and all of the people that made our show such a success for such a long time,” he said.
Johnson can’t wait for the New York City stop. “Radio City Music Hall — are you kidding me! And my whole family’s flying out for that one.”
Chmerkovskiy shares the sentiment but also anticipates packed venues at smaller stops in the tour schedule. “You think the big cities have the big theaters — the fancy theaters — but honestly some of the smallest towns you stumble on some of the most beautiful theaters.”
“The best crowd and audiences too!” Johnson added.
And of course, wedding planning, will also be in the mix.
“We’re planning to not invite anyone, so very easy planning,” Chmerkovskiy joked.
“I have a lot of help,” Johnson said. “We have a planner. My mom’s super into weddings, so we’re gonna do it.”
“I am zero help, but I will look SO good,” Chmerkovskiy ensured.

WEEK 8 RECAP: Semi-Finals November 12, 2018
Tumblr media
Pop the Monster energy drink because we are finally free from the chockehold of last week’s popular country episode! Tonight our stars performed two dances. The first was a dance dedicated to a significant person in their lives. In light of tonight’s theme I’d like to dedicate my middle finger to this elimination. When I poked paper clips into a voodoo doll with Joe’s hair this was not what I had in mind. Juan Pablo, your hips will always be thrusting in my heart. The second dance they performed was a dance in the same genre as a dance they sucked in. I think the purpose for this episode was less to entertain and more to open up the path for Milo’s victory. Milo is an angel in his mom’s eyes, Milo’s biggest rival was eliminated right before the finale, and Milo’s partner Witney is a fandom favorite. The win is his and I think he deserves it.
Dedication Dances
Bobby | salsa | 7 7 7
Dedicated to his fans. Bobby gets another montage of fan made videos supporting him. Last week he got a montage of country singers supporting him. The real showmance of the season is Bobby and imovie. That was probably his best dance, but not because he has become a better dancer. It’s because Sharna has learned to choreograph around his shortcomings.
Alexis | waltz | 9 9 10
Dedicated to Alan. It was good rise and fall a waltz is supposed to have.CAI’s Lift (Mall) Police is back! We saw the lift. Len scolded Alan in “we were all rooting for you, Tiffany” fashion for lack of content.
Joe | contemporary | 8 7 7
Dedicated to the women in his life. I get the concept behind the dance. Joe is the Statue of Liberty, which represents women, and Jenna is all the pigeons shitting on it, which represents the struggles women face. Joe just stood while Jenna leaped and cartwheeled over Joe. At least Joe’s catatonic performance gave us one of the best Len’s comments: “You didn’t do much, Joe. But you didn’t do much very much well.”
Juan Pablo | Argentine Tango | 10 10 10
Dedicated to his mom. In the package JP talked about how he was affected by his mom’s cancer diagnosis and that was nice. Does a steamy tango have anything to do with the package? No, but there is one episode left and our Argentinian still hadn’t performed an Argentine tango. It was a well-performed Argentine tango without gimmicks. Tom Bergeron fanned himself like Blanche Deveroux in a New Orleans summer and that’s the ultimate seal of approval.
Evanna | contemporary | 10 10 10
Dedicated to a friend who died from ALS. Bring out the tissues! I didn’t get to watch this whole dance because my dog started eating poop out of the litter box the moment the dance started, but I’m certain it was better than Joe’s contemporary. Keo started crying so their chances of winning got better. Unfortunately, star tears are worth more points than pro tears.
Milo | Argentine tango | 9 9 9
Dedicated to him mom. Milo and his mom have the cutest relationship. It’s a game and I know Milo is working the hell out his mom-son relationship (rela-show-ship?) to get the “d’awwws” from the voters. I respect his hustle, especially when the hustle is loving and respecting your mom. Like JP, the dance didn’t have anything to do with his mom, but look at those lifts! Aren’t they nice?
Judges’ Choice Dances (or Week 1 Genre Dances because every judges’ Choice dance was the same genre as week 1)
Bobby | jive | 8 8 8
Mentored by Len. I already hate this because Sharna already choreographed a jive to this song for James Hinchcliffe and it was perfection. We got Bobby making a snow angel on a projection of Len’s face, taking off his shirt and revealing another shirt of Len’s face, and him giving Len got a smooch after their dance. Bobby’s strategy to win is trying extremely hard.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alexis | jive | 10 10 10
Mentored by Bruno. If you’re counting this is Alexis’ third time doing the jive. I’m overjived. The good thing is the jazzercise concept brought out the best in Tom Bergeron’s snark. (“You got legs like Xerox paper.”)
Joe | quickstep | 8 8 8
Mentored by CAI. What the hell is happening? Did I actually like a Joe dance? Am I actually impressed? Night and day from his week 1 quickstep. Just goes to show you if you believe in yourself, you practice for 7 weeks, six hours a day with a professional dancer, catering, a team of doctors, chiropractors and trainers on stand-by you too can learn how to dance almost good. Inspirational.
Juan Pablo | salsa | 10 10 10
Mentored by Bruno. A very legit salsa with fedoras, open shirts and bongos. I’m happy to watch Juan Pablo pounding and grinding the air every week. The choreo was way harder this week than last week and he didn’t throw Cheryl around like a chef making pulled noodles. This salsa was so good that Len cursed in the most antiquated British lad manner: “If you go home I’m gonna go home and pickle me walnuts.” I don’t know what that means, but I know it’s dirty.
Evanna | foxtrot | 10 9 9
Mentored by Len. This foxtrot had enough lens flare to make JJ Abrams jealous.
Tumblr media
Maybe it was them trying to cover up lukewarm choreography. If so, good strategy. So much more control and poise from week 1.
Milo | cha cha | 9 9 10
Mentored by CAI. CAI told them to work on their noodly limbs. This week’s dance had a lot less awkward sexy moves than week 1 and that’s a triumph in my book.
Tom Bergeron Quip of the Week
“A Jane Fonda exercise video styled by Liberace.”
Len Goodman Zinger of the Week
“You put the boy in flamboyant.”
In Jeopardy
Joe, Alexis, Juan Pablo
Elimination
Joe is out.
Tumblr media
The bad news the best male dancer of the season Juan Pablo was eliminated.
Tumblr media
The judges looked as pressed like a quesadilla. They are not having it! Len is mostly mad because he is going to have to pickle his dirty wrinkled walnuts.
Tumblr media
Observations
Sharna pronounces Bobby Bones like “Bobby Barnes”
Bruno: *Humps the air.* Tom: “Be careful.”
Sharna constantly gets crap from the judges for not implementing enough content. She might need a ballroom/latin refresher class, just saying
Bobby used his post-dance interview to urge people to donate to Red Cross. Good for him!
An emotional shout out to the late Stan Lee from Tom Bergeron
The only interesting thing Joe has said all season is when Jenna put in a sexy move in the dance Joe responded by saying “this is the dance I’m dedicating to my mother? Are you fucking high?”i
Maybe Joe isn’t dead inside. Maybe he is on Zoloft. You never know what people are going through!

Smallville S2 E6 - Redux
This week we learn that vampires are allergic to mirror balls, so that’s a thing. Also the Luthors are starting to look like the most functional family in this fucking town.
I don't like Clark, but credit to him, it must be really hard to pretend to be bad at swimming
I don't remember high school involving this much sitting around watching topless boys. I know a lot of people who would have enjoyed school a whole lot more if it had.
Yes Clark, using your powers underwater is totally okay because as we all know, water is 100% opaque and no one could possibly have seen you do that.
Oh good, an episode of teenage boys turning into old men. That's not at all similar to that epiosde about old men turning to teenage boys we had last season. Betting on one of the swim team turning out to be a serial killer on the run?!
Martha Kent is an executive PA for one of the richest man in the country, also runs a successful cake baking business, and their family farm presumably sells something even if it's not much. But somehow that isn't enough for them to pay the feed bill. I know they've got debts, but they have grazing land. A lot of it. How is your bill for cattle food in the middle of the summer more than Martha's salary?!
Oooh, Clark has a grandfather he's never been allowed to meet, how mysterious... Except his daughter married Jonathan Kent. I'd fucking cut myself off from the family if that happened as well.
So I'm pretty sure Lex meant for the new principle (he's going to die, they always do) to think Clark was late because he and Lex were fucking. Lex has weird ideas about what the teachers will accept as a valid excuse
Or wait, Lex and this dude have History. Is this Lex showing off that 'you said I'd never amount to anything, but I'm fucking the prettiest underage boy in school so now what have you got to say'? In which case Lex has weird ideas about what teachers will accept as proof that you’ve succeeded in life!
Oh hey, Lana's aunt is still alive. Who knew?
I'm not usually on the side of overbearing parents, but in this case, Martha’s dad is 100% right about Jonathan ruining Martha's life. I don't even know their full history, but Jonathan is a toxic misogynist who poisons everything he touches so...
Okay so the terrible thing Martha's dad did was say that Jonathan would never be able to financially support Martha, and then Jonathan hit him. Twenty years later they're completely broke and Jonathan is still solving all his problems by hitting people. I think Martha's dad might be the only sensible person in this fucking family.
Oh good, more Lex and Lana bonding time. It's like they think putting her next to a more interesting person will somehow magically make us care about her. Newsflash, she's still a toast sandwich in pink nail polish.
The principle is totally trying to split up Clark and Lex. Hey, maybe this will be enough to finally make Clark notice all the flirting.
Bad news guys, this isn’t even a reversal of the old people getting young plot, it's just the same plot again with more uncomfortable gender politics
Why would you ever take advice from Lex about family? I mean I love the guy, but he is fucking awful at family
When two students have died, it's important that you keep things normal and not, say, implement a curfew and keep the kids somewhere safe...
Why can anyone just walk into this school unannounced?! Jesus no wonder the kids keep getting murdered!
I always like it when a show has a B plot that I don't care about. Oooh, Lana's mother might have had an affair. Oooh, I don't give a fuuuuuck.
Why the fuck would anyone immortal choose to stay in high school forever? Is she one of those assholes who say high school was the best days of their lives?
Wait, she's not a meteor kid. She's just a vampire... The fuck, Smallville writers?!
Okay, so Clark pushes the vampire chick through the backcloth on the stage, and then there's a floating mirrored cube, and she sees her own reflection and then crumbles to dust. And that's it. That's how we solve this week's monster problem. What the actual fuck?!
Wait, I take it back, the Kents are so fucked up that Lex may actually be the only person who could possibly give you advice.
Oh great, more of Lana's personal drama next week. That's something to look forward to... Oh Witney, when will you return from the war so I have someone other than Lex to care about again?
Oh hey, I just realised I was right about the principle dying. Go me. Well done on making that a really meaningful and impactful moment there, writers.

Babyface
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kenneth Brian Edmonds (born April 10, 1959), known professionally as Babyface, is an American singer, songwriter and record producer. He has written and produced over 26 number-one R&B hits throughout his career, and has won 11 Grammy Awards.
Early life
Edmonds was born on April 10, 1959, in Indianapolis, Indiana,to Marvin and Barbara Edmonds. Barbara was a production operator at a pharmaceutical plant. Edmonds, who is the fifth of six brothers (including future After 7 band members Melvin and Kevon Edmonds, the latter of whom went on to have a modestly successful solo career), attended North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, and as a shy youth, wrote songs to express his emotions. When he was in eighth grade, Edmonds' father died of lung cancer, leaving his mother to raise her sons alone. At this stage, Edmonds became determined to have a career in music.
Music career
Edmonds later played with funk performer Bootsy Collins, who tagged him "Babyface" because of his youthful look. He also performed in the group Manchild (which had a 1977 hit "Especially for You" with band member Daryl Simmons) as a guitarist. He played keyboards in the light-funk and R&B group the Deele (which also included drummer Antonio "L.A." Reid, with whom he would later form a successful writing and producing partnership). One of his first major credits as a songwriter for outside artists came when he wrote the tune "Slow Jam" for the R&B band Midnight Star in 1983. The tune was on Midnight Star's 1983 double-platinum No Parking on the Dance Floor album, and while it never was a single, it received massive radio airplay and the song is still played on quiet storm radio stations. Babyface remained in the Deele until 1988, when both he and Reid left the group.
His album Playlist consists of eight cover songs and two original works. It was released on September 18, 2007. It was the first album on the newly re-launched Mercury Records label.
On February 4, 2014, he released a Grammy Award-winning duet album with Toni Braxton titled Love, Marriage & Divorce on Motown Records.
Other ventures
Writing and producing
In the late 1980s, he contributed to the creation of new jack swing, writing and producing music for the likes of Bobby Brown, Karyn White, Pebbles, Paula Abdul and Sheena Easton.
In 1989, Edmonds co-founded LaFace Records with Reid. Three of the label's early artists TLC, Usher, and Toni Braxton were very successful. TLC's second album CrazySexyCool, for which he wrote and produced some of the hits, became the best selling album of all time by an American girl group. Under his direction, TLC was able to sell more than 60 million albums worldwide, and a combined total of 75 million records. Toni Braxton's first two albums, Toni Braxton (1993) and Secrets (1996), for which he wrote the majority of the songs, went on to sell a combined total of over 10 million copies in America alone.
Babyface helped form the popular late-1990s R&B group Az Yet. Edmonds also helped to mold and work with some of his then-wife Tracey Edmonds' acts, such as Jon B and producer Jon-John Robinson.
Edmonds has worked with many successful performers in contemporary music. “I’m Your Baby Tonight” (1990), produced for Whitney Houston, was his first No. 1 Top 40 hit in the US. He also wrote and produced Boyz II Men's 1992 "End of the Road" and 1994 "I'll Make Love to You", both of which established records for the longest stay at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He co-wrote, co-produced, and provided backing vocals on Madonna's 1994 Bedtime Stories, which featured the seven-week No. 1 hit "Take a Bow", and shared billing with Eric Clapton on the chart-topping Grammy winner "Change the World" from the Phenomenon soundtrack. He also wrote and produced the No. 1 hit "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)" for Whitney Houston as well as the rest of the critically acclaimed 10 million-selling Waiting to Exhale soundtrack in 1995, which spawned additional hits for Houston, Brandy and Mary J. Blige.
Additionally, Edmonds has produced and written music for many artists including Carole King, Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Faith Evans, Al Green, Beyoncé, Diana Ross, Sheena Easton, Toni Braxton, Michael Jackson, Michael Bolton, Paula Abdul, Eric Clapton, Pebbles, Tevin Campbell, Bobby Brown, Whitney Houston, Brandy, Mary J. Blige, Tamia, Shola Ama, 3T, Sisqó, Dru Hill, Fall Out Boy, Céline Dion, Samantha Jade, Backstreet Boys, Honeyz, Katharine McPhee, Mariah Carey, Vanessa L. Williams, Chanté Moore, En Vogue, Zendaya, Kenny G, Kristinia DeBarge, Lil Wayne, Japanese singer Ken Hirai, P!nk, Colbie Caillat, Marc Nelson, TLC, Ariana Grande, Ella Henderson, Jessica Mauboy, Xscape, K-Ci & JoJo, NSYNC, and Phil Collins among others. He received three consecutive Grammy Awards for Producer of the Year from 1995 to 1997.
Babyface was in the studio for about two years with Ashanti to produce her album The Declaration (2008).
He worked on the Lil Wayne album Tha Carter III (2008), on the Kanye West-produced "Comfortable". He also worked with R&B singer Monica for her sixth studio album Still Standing (2010).
In 2013, Babyface served as producer for Ariana Grande's debut album Yours Truly, producing the majority of her songs, including her second single, "Baby I".
In September 2014, Babyface collaborated with Barbra Streisand on her album Partners, performing a duet on the track "Evergreen" and background vocals for other album tracks.
Babyface also collaborated with Foxes on her sophomore album, All I Need (2016), producing and co-writing "Scar".
In July 2016, Babyface along with Bruce Roberts and Carole Bayer Sager helped write the song, "Stronger Together" sung by Jessica Sanchez. The song was played after Hillary Clinton's speech at the 2016 Democratic National Convention. The song's title is named after the slogan that the Clinton campaign uses as a show of uniting behind the Democratic nominee. The song was one of the top trending songs on Shazam that week. The song was widely perceived as positive by the listeners, and even received praise by celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Kim Kardashian.
Acting career and film producing
In 1994, he appeared and performed on an episode of Beverly Hills, 90210 entitled "Mr. Walsh Goes to Washington (Part 2)".
In the mid-1990s, Edmonds and his then-wife Tracey Edmonds expanded into the business of motion pictures, setting up Edmonds Entertainment Group and producing films such as Soul Food (1997), Josie and the Pussycats (2001), and also the soundtrack for the film The Prince of Egypt (1998), which included contributions from numerous artists, including Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. They also executive produced the BET reality series College Hill (2004-2009). Edmonds also worked with David Foster to compose "The Power of the Dream", the official song of the 1996 Summer Olympics, performed by superstar Céline Dion. Linda Thompson provided the lyrics.
Babyface also participated as a duet partner on the Fox reality show Celebrity Duets (2006).
He was portrayed by Wesley Jonathan in the 2015 Lifetime biopic Whitney and is portrayed by actor Gavin Houston in the Lifetime biopic based on Toni Braxton entitled Un-Break My Heart, which premiered on the network in early 2016.
On August 30, 2016, Babyface was revealed as one of the celebrities who will compete on season 23 of Dancing with the Stars. He was partnered with professional dancer Allison Holker. He and Holker were eliminated on the fourth week of competition and finished in 11th place along with Vanilla Ice and Witney Carson.
Soda Pop Records
Edmonds founded his record label Soda Pop Records in 2009. Since founding the label he has signed R&B icons K-Ci & JoJo, releasing their first album for the label entitled My Brother's Keeper. In 2013 Babyface secured a distribution deal with E1 Music for the label.
Personal life
Babyface married his first wife, Denise during his young adult years. In 1990, Babyface met Tracey Edmonds when she auditioned for the music video for his song "Whip Appeal". They married on September 5, 1992, and have two sons, Brandon and Dylan. On January 7, 2005, Tracey filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. In October 2005, Babyface and Tracey announced that they were ending their marriage of thirteen years.
In 2007, Babyface began dating his backup dancer Nicole "Nikki" Pantenburg (former backup dancer for and personal friend of Janet Jackson). In 2008, Babyface and Nicole welcomed a daughter. The pair married on May 17, 2014.
In 2015, Babyface donated money to the presidential campaign of Republican Senator Marco Rubio.

Dancing with the Stars Season 25 Week 10: The Finals
We’re back! And Julianne is back too! I’m not going to talk too much about the happenings and going ons of the show that didn’t deal with the contestants dancing. So let’s just get into this recap/review/whatever you wanna call it.
Redemption Round
Drew and Emma- Paso Doble (Score=36)- Well, this wasn’t a bad dance. And I would even go as far as to say that Drew improved a lot. The energy was more appropriate and the shaping was much improved. He did mess up a few steps but otherwise, he did a pretty decent job.
Frankie and Witney- Foxtrot (Score=38)- Frankie also improved on his dance. He was more confident and in control this time around. I personally would have given it a 9 because his top line did seem a bit stiff at certain points in the dance. But I thought he also did a great job and the score was appropriate.
Jordan and Lindsay- Charleston (Score=40)- I mean what can’t this guy do? He kills it every single week. And Lindsay is really murking y’all with her choreography this season. Everyone keeps talking about how good Mark has been, but let’s not sleep on everything that Lindsay has been doing.
Lindsey and Mark- Quickstep (Score=40)- So this was the first dance of the night that disappointed me. I had high hopes for this quickstep, but it kinda fell flat. The choreography was weird and it felt disjointed overall. On top of that, Lindsey’s frame was not much better than it was back in week 2. It was just a really weird dance that didn’t live up to expectations.
Freestyle Round
Drew and Emma (Score=39)- This was an interesting dance. I liked that Emma kinda went with a more comedic and goofy piece than one that focused a lot on dancing. I think it separated Drew from everyone else left. While I did see him out of sync many times, I do feel like this was his best dance of the season by far. And it was a great way for them to go out.
Frankie and Witney (Score=38)- I actually liked this dance. I’m glad they went for this idea versus what Ashley (the producer) and Frankie were sort of throwing around. I think that this risk was enough to potentially shoot Frankie into the top 2. I do agree about him losing steam at the end. The energy died drastically as the dance went on. It’s understandable but it lacked some of that “Umph” in the last few seconds.
Jordan and Lindsay (Score=40)- Even though I didn’t care all that much for any of the freestyles, I happened to like Jordan’s the best. It was just technically perfect. Jordan’s shoowmanship is out of this world. He started out the competition good and is leaving even better.
Lindsey and Mark (Score=40)- This was the first time I watched Lindsey’s entire night and fet like it wasn’t all that great. This freestyle was way too corny for my comfort. I love some corniness but ti was just too much going on with that. It was just very bizarre. And not it the good way. It was still good. I just didn’t like it.
So at the end Frankie and Drew were waiting for their fate moving on. And Drew’s journey stops just shy of the MBT. I mean he was never going to win that trophy anyway but still. It made sense why he was eliminated. But yeah, tomorrow, I will be back with my formal rankings. And with that said, I hope to talk to you all soon.
