Unity is my favorite design principle. Unity mean "all elements work together". Seems easy, but it can be tricky. Here the diagonal line of the Brique pattern is mirrored in the Latvian Braid, the front edge of the collar, and even in the buttons. The two colors are both neutrals, so while one is dark and the other not, they play well together.
