So I've been brainstorming a Scarebeast design
Scarebeast is not canon in the current timeline of my AU (probably), but hey, it's fun to design and hypothesize about. Who knows maybe it's real in a different timeline!
When designing my own Screast, I wanted to steer away from the more big hulking monster of some other designs, namely As The Crow Flies, where Screast comes from. To me, those just aren't scary! Sure, maybe for the characters in the story it's piss your pants terrifying to have a giant monster trying to kill you, but meh. Scarecrow has always been more of a psychological threat than a physical one in my mind, and so the Screast should be as well
So I went with a design that looked like something that would stalk you from a distance in the woods. A guy that can scrap and slash and bite if need be, but most of the fear that comes from an interaction with it is from how unsettling it and it's behavior is. It has base human elements, but there are very noticeable aspects in it's appearance and mannerisms that set off alarms in the brain. Because I think the scariest part is wondering how someone became this
I was inspired by a lot of Trevor Henderson as well as movie monsters, like the Jötunn from The Ritual or the bear from Annihilation. Even some old folklore monsters, like vampires and werewolves! All of those beasts that get people scared

What are your general inspirations for the scare beast form?
I was mainly inspired by the animal kingdom. I'm enamored by all things biology and scarebeast is the perfect opportunity to express that. I also love horror and monsters. Though there were no specific monsters that inspired my design, it was more general concepts and ideas that I enjoyed. Though maybe a sub-conscious inspiration is the Xenomorph from Alien. I love the idea of monsters being a personification of aspects of humanity or an individual. My favorite is when they represent suffering and trauma. The creature itself is in pain as the result of the hubris of others. Scarebest fits so well with that idea.
The animal kingdom has a lot to offer in terms of brutality and horror. Most environments are unforgiving and so animals must adapt to that harshness. Things that we as humans are scared of from fiction or otherwise is an experience animals have every day. An animal is scariest when it is scared. So I tried to work with that idea. Jonathan has lost his human perception and sense of logic and reasoning, he's only left with what is ahead of him and the ringing question of "Will I survive today?" Acting solely on instinct and a drive to live. That is not a fight any organism wants to lose and they will do everything to win. It is unwise to get in the way of that when it's a ten-foot genetic abomination with several means of killing you.
I hope that's comprehensive. I have a hard time expressing ideas like that into words, if you need more clarification let me know.

What's your favorite headcanons for scarecro
Let me say first and foremost that I prefer writing Jon as more of a neutral, trying to do what he thinks is right even if the methods aren't, Designated Villain™️ type of character.
While all of the rogues do, Jon is one that especially has a soft spot for children. It's not unheard of for him to go out of his way to protect them, having more than once gone as far as putting himself in danger without hesitation to do so.
All of his corvids are either ferals that essentially domesticated themselves, having just started following him out of the blue and integrating themselves into the flock, or rescued and rehabilitated. He purposefully does not refer to any of them as pets, the closest word used being "companions."
He was born with perfect vision, but exposure to chemicals from a young age and onward has caused his eyesight to deteriorate.
Jon's Great Granny and Grampa were both Irish immigrants.
While he doesn't see the allure or how it can be at all interesting, Jon doesn't mind telling Harley stories about one of his innumerable scars every now and again. He's a very good storyteller, though he doesn't agree.
Jon has inspired a few urban legends in Gotham and the surrounding area, including things such as a humming/whistling/singing ghost that roams Arkham's halls at night, a living corpse occupying a few different graveyards, and (of course) Scarebeast.
