maybe it’s the lighting or angle or just the softer-feature style but i genuinely thought her cheeks look fuller on the left and went ‘my baby is eating’ and started crying

Whe she first got the script and learnt about Ahsoka going to Padme’s funeral, she just started crying. She’s sobbing all through the recording of that scene.

“We did get to explore a bit of it but not enough. They had a beautiful relationship, they were just like sisters.”

the best timeline to place “Practice Makes Perfect” in is 3.08 where Anakin sneaked out to help Padme with her dinner party leading him to be late for Ahsoka’s test 😏

At first glance i thought this was toy photography: the lighting, the graininess and the depth of field of it. It can tell me that texture of plastoid armour and I'm amazed once again how far Clone Wars animation towards realism has come.

i'm also concerned because while budget and technology was an constraint at the beginning, the crew did aim to build a specific style to represent texture. It is concerning because Disney's book of "sucessful" animation, is hyperrealistic ones. That mindset easily slips under an "inferior" undertone. There are changes to character models evident in the trailer, but it'd be a premature judgement until the show premieres.

After all, I just don't want to see the TCW brand or future SW animation to become another generic CG show, or an impostor to live-action.

#remember when we used to have Clone Wars (2D & 3D!) - Rebels - Resistance #now it's 'From the studio that broguht you The Clone Wars.
