ANYWAYS: Here's the Zedini race (Zed-ie-nye), hailing from the shallow aquatic world of "Planet" (that's how the name translates from their movement language) that has been dubbed "Shallow Waters" by otherworlders. They're massive and a major aspect of their culture is brawling, so "getting along" is a bit complicated for most species. fan thing: Grimmia (big orange mf) is the Root of a group of Zedini that have allied with Eliptica for the sake of trade and Not Getting eaten (being mostly bone and cartilage makes for a gross and unsatisfying meal, and being able to successfully cultivate a renewable fuel source has its benefits. So what if you had to sacrifice one of your kin for the planet-bone-shaper (Sculptor) to learn from)

So I saw people calling Hwei a "short king" for this Rioter tweet and of course they're wrong in the real world but like, especially if the Heartsteel estimates are accurate, 5'10" seems to be average to short-ish for a human on Runeterra. To list them all out:

Netherite[-15/10] ; Mmm, Nah...No.. nuh-uh. Its incredibly dry and water doesn't help wash it out at all. It tastes like the nether, which makes sense.

D-Tier

Diamond[10/10] ; Self-explanatory, Diamond

is fantastic! 

A-tier!

Iron[5/10] ; Good, not Bad either. sometimes I crave Iron

C-Tier

Gold[1000/10] ; Now i hear you asking/yelling oh so sweetly in my ear,,  "Zedaph, why does gold outrageously outrank diamond? this is treason!!"

Let me explain..

Gold has that really nice butter flavor that really pops in your mouth, and it also creates one of the best food items ever created....

Golden Carrots.

They're super good!! dont lie to me and say you've tried it and not think they were great. Its like gold but more healthy, and with a sweet&salty taste added to it too.

plus golden nuggets are really good snacks, they're like chips... sort of.

Redstone[7/10] ; VERY CONTROVERSIAL, I KNOW.  But pleasr...hear me out.

Redstone dust is like one of those pop candies. I know its a common misconception to think its bitter but thats because you're using used redstone! Try the newly made and refined stuff and it's really great!

Copper[?/10] ; Never properly tasted it! One time i licked raw copper cause i think i mistook it for beans?? its weird because i was literally about to smelt it. From that experience, overall the flavors' a bit tingy, but i wont be able to do it justice til i actually try the real thing.

Blood Quantum (2019)

I recently watched Blood Quantum (2019) and… wow. I’m blown away. Like after reading Becoming Kin by Patty Krawec.

Alan/”Lysol” is son to an absentee father (probably a survivor of the reeducation camps, not sure if it was explicit), a MMIW, and Canada’s child theft system – “foster care.”

His younger brother is an antithetical “Cain” archetype, and the father and grandfather characters serve as symbols of the patriarchal systems that infect Indigenous peoples, just as the ZED (zombie disease). The horror, cinematography, and storytelling make it well-worth a watch, if you can handle a deeply gory (the actors are having fun) movie.

When things go tits up, Canada is reeling. Suddenly, the settler colonial state is at the mercy of the people it has legally discriminated against, has murdered, tortured, torn communities, families, everything apart… for conquest… turned ‘round. Lysol (whose brand promises to “wipe out 99.9% of germs”) is Canada’s experiment, its own Indigenous son returned with the same bloodlust and emptiness that the settlers inflicted on us.

He is vicious, sexist, a toxic masculinity with only violence as a tool made of the rot of white society. When he comes for blood, it never mattered who or what; he needed an excuse to weaponize his hatred, and white society handed him the tools… the ones that undid his own humanity. He kills his own people when they attempt to rebuild through peace and diplomacy.

I disagree with him, but who else was this person ever allowed to become?

This movie's patriarch's are in active disagreement, and it is matriarchal and restorative ways that create the way forward. A truly incredible work of art.
