1). Bunny is allergic to coconuts IRL so when in game she does stupid stuff with coconuts to make her character enraged or something. It never ends okay for the party and so the party has to keep her from coconuts. Otherwise she will sprint forward to a coconut and do whatever shenanigans she wants. It was never a problem until they got to a tropical land setting in game.

2). I read that as Purl likes taking people clothes shopping at first, which I do agree with, but also agree with the actual statement that Purl hates clothes shopping. It's both. Purl will take someone clothes shopping, let them grab whatever they want, and then pay for it all. But Purl will also just steal whatever clothes from 1010 (or West/Cyril if it fits or they can make it work) because clothes shopping for yourself sucks.

3). I don't think West is the type to dare someone to literally hurt themselves. Like yes, West will pull out random shit like a sponge or fruit peels, but not glass. Yiruk on the other hand probably would still eat dangerous stuff because of poor impulse controls. They would definitely try to eat super crushed up glass at one point not realizing just how dangerous that is.

4). Yes. Absolutely. I love this and I don't know if I have said this before, but I do think Celine at least likes watching fights so she wouldn't be opposed to learning to fight. Kayane would be the perfect help with that. Purl would also be willing to bring them to an underground fight club run by Joust if they wanted to see some REAL fights.

5). Either stamps or pennies. Maybe both. I like to think if Rubato did stamps, Yinu never got into it, but she always loved pennies so her and Papa started a penny collection together. After he died though she did start collecting both.

6). It was definitely Esther who would do that and not Braam, but she would also make that book and say it WAS from Braam as a joke. He tries to tell some of them but never says them right and messes up and it's just dumb and silly and people laugh but not at the joke itself.

7). He lived through Golden Girls and hated how popular the show was and how people would only ever talk about it in whatever work environment he was in at the time. It just because a show he hates even though he never watched it (just hate by association basically. He was an original hater lol). Tatiana on the other hand loved the show and will do whatever she can to try and get him to actually watch it at some point. So many Golden Girl memes and clips have been sent to Mystery Man.

8). Dodo always striking an amazing pose somehow without even trying when a picture is taken of him, while Tila is like Alan from the Amazing World of Gumball where she is always perfect in a photo. But neither of them like taking photos or having photos taken of them, so there isn't much out there of them in photographs.

9). Add Eloni and Sofa in that list and you are absolutely right. Eve and Haym make abstract stuff (Eve on purpose, Haym because he just likes sticking legos together), Sayu and Dew like making the sets, Eloni also likes making sets but her and Sofa also do those robotic stuff with legos and will make cars or working sculptures of like Minecraft blocks or something together.

10). May is not flexible at all but does her best. Some poses Zuke can't do fully because of his back problems, but he is still very flexible and does his best to get a full body movement session in. Rin is the most flexible and is able to do everything basically and has no real need for yoga but does it with Zuke and May to hang out.

As much as I like to ship them as bitter exes, I’ve always taken note of how NSR seems to deliberately go out of its way to deny that Kliff’s feelings for Tatiana are romantic in nature. Romantic language is never used between the two and even when Kliff gushes about her, it’s all about her aesthetics: her clothes, her attitude, her music. So with that in mind, what exactly was Kul Fyra to Kliff? What does she represent to him that would drive him to be so crushed and vindictive after they split?

The easy answer is that “he’s just like that”, but I refuse to believe that in a story where even the most shallow of NPCs has some depth to them, that Kliff, the primary antagonist of the story, is the only one that’s so one dimensional. The narrative has already ruled out romance as a motivation, and it’s dubious that they were even friends at any point. It could be that he always saw her as a symbol for his ideals, but he does seem to take it personally that she “went EDM,” and he ultimately says that what matters to him wasn’t the music itself, but Kul Fyra the person. It could be that he’s just trying to get sympathy points by exaggerating, but I think that reading would be inconsistent with how Kliff had been portrayed so far. Kliff lies by omission, not by distortion. The instances where Kliff is untrustworthy is by him not giving all the details:

He doesn’t tell B2J that he knows that Tatiana was Kul Fyra.

He doesn’t hide that he wants B2J to takeover Vinyl City, but he never mentions/considers the negative consequences of them doing so.

There are only 2 instances in which he lies by distortion, and both of them might not even count.

Mayday mentions that his photo doesn’t seem to match with who they meet, but since we never saw this photo, we don’t know in what ways it was different. It doesn’t make sense for it to have been a “catfish” since they met in person almost immediately afterwards, so it’s more likely that the photo refers to a profile picture, and the picture just didn’t reflect what kind of person Kliff was IRL, like a cute animal pic or something.

When B2J are trying to free the districts, he does lie about the bots being not dangerous and encourages them to get closer to their attacks by saying that they’re helpful, but this is in a high-stress situation after all his good will between them was destroyed, so this is arguably out of character.

Even if you want to discredit that Kliff is being sincere in his confrontation with Tatiana, Tatiana does not call him out for lying, so it can be implied then that what he says is true. To counter, it’s possible that she’s just not interested in deconstructing his claims and just cuts straight to the heart of the problem, but she does give that time to Mayday. With that in mind, I feel like it would be reasonable to assume that if there was something to deconstruct, she would have done so in this instance too. Therefore, I think it’s safe to assume that Kliff’s claims can be taken at face value.

I feel like Kliff and Tatiana’s conflict is somewhat supposed to mirror Mayday and Zuke’s conflict, or rather how they resolve it. If you do the Pirate Radio interviews, they reveal that regardless of your personal choices, Mayday will wind up breaking Zuke’s NSR branded drumsticks in protest. Mayday will always feel somewhat guilty about this after the fact and Zuke will forgive her, and they work out their differences on the subject, ultimately proving that despite conflicts, they’re best friends

It partially feeds into my theory that NSR is about different kinds of love, and that Kliff, Tatiana, and Mayday’s love conflict is based around fandom.

Ok so I’m doing the meme from @ticklishraspberries and @trrickytickle asked me to do a character from No Straight Roads. I couldn’t pick, so both Mayday and Zuke are getting it!

1. On a scale of 1-10 how ticklish are they?

- 10/10!!!

- Depends; usually hovers between 6-8.

2. Where is their most ticklish spot(s)?

- Does “basically everywhere” count? Her feet, her sides, and her armpits are her death spots, plus she’s got a spot just a tiiiiny bit above her collarbone that really makes her spaz!

- His ribs. Good lord, his ribs. XD His feet are pretty bad too.

3. Which spots are they not ticklish?

- Arms/hands, but that’s kinda it.

- The usual spots…arms/hands, legs, upper back & shoulders, etc.

4. What is their laugh like?

- Super giggly, high speed and full of energy! She’s got a tendency to laugh through her nose and clenched teeth before collapsing into belly laughs. Squeals if you touch the right spot. (sometimes snorts a lil)

- He’ll hold in his laugh for as long as he can and only let out a gasp or chuckle every couple of seconds. Laughs in firm, short bursts, like he’s struggling to contain it.

5. Do they enjoy tickling? If yes, is it a fun platonic/familial thing, or kinky thing to them, or can it be both depending on the circumstance?

- YES yes yes yes yes yes! Mostly the former but I guess it could be both.

- NO. He haaaaates being tickled. It’s so awkward and embarrassing.

6. Are they more often a lee or a ler, generally?

- Oh my god you guys; she is such a ler around Zuke. She wants to be a lee so bad but not enough people tickle her! It’s no fair! 😭

- He’s often the lee to Mayday’s ler, but he doesn’t want to be either! XD

- Zuke, duh. As much as she can. 😉

- She’s vulnerable to basically any kind of touch. Gentle or rough, slow or fast, you’ll still get her laughing.

- Rough tickling for sure. He’s ticklish but gentle touches don’t really bother him. And Mayday is a rough ler.

12. Is there a specific spot that they enjoy being tickled, either exclusively or more than other spots? What is it?

- Mayday kinda loves getting pedicures, and raspberries. But belly button tickles might be her secret fetish.

13. Is there a spot that they can’t stand to be tickled, either because it’s just too sensitive, or it’s uncomfortable/painful/etc? What is it?

- Between her toes is crazy sensitive; tickles are fun but that’s usually off-limits! Plus you’re liable to get hurt; she’s a kicker.

- Between the second and third rib on his left side - that’s his 9/10 weak spot, the one that really makes him break down laughing. 😈

14. Would they they ever purposefully bug a friend/partner/sibling into tickling them, and if so, how would they go about it?

- As if she doesn’t do that all the time already. XD Mayday is mischievous and loves to annoy her bffs. She’ll poke and prod Zuke or blow in his ear until he has no choice but to yank her onto his lap and make her regret it.

- The thought would never even cross his mind.

15. Does teasing affect them?

- It just makes her laugh even harder. ^^

- He’s already uncomfortable and embarrassed getting worked over; tease him and you might even get him to blush.

Okay SO. In this au, Mayday, Zuke, Kliff have all taken over Vinyl City. It’s not actually that bad! Unless you aren’t a fan of rock. It’s about 15 or so years later, and now there’s another duo who want to play EDM! (which is banned). I have not decided on their names yet. I’m really really bad at naming characters, only one new character in this au has a name. I wanted to name one of them after a star because her eyes are star shaped and she’s also trans and wanted a cool name, but all the good ones were taken by other things.

Anyway there’s now five rock genre themed bosses! And also 1010 who plays rock now.

The first (the order in which they are fought may change) is plays rock and roll. His weapon is a drum kit set, and his theme is.. rock. like the natural object. He’s kinda like a geode too so Do Not injure him too much or he will crack.

The second is a cartoon rabbit named Rosie! She plays jazz and has a variety of instruments but her power comes from an irl gramophone. She’s self aware but cannot come out of the screen. There are rumors that she doesn’t even have a creator and just appeared one day. Her attacks are pretty cool because they are all based on toon slapstick!

The third boss is a guy whose weapon in a microphone. He’s really shiny and covered in glitter and has awesome extravagant outfits. He plays glam rock which is just normal rock but a lot flashier.

The fourth has the theme of psychedelic rock and has a synthesizer! She’s themed after both clouds and dreams. Her fight only starts after she puts the protagonists to sleep. I will admit that I thought of that one psychonauts 2 trailer with jack black when I created her.

And the fifth is a punk rock catgirl because I thought that would be cool.

And those are the new bosses! The original NSR stars either left Vinyl City (Tatiana) or got a new job (DJSS), but Yinu helps the two main protagonists and tracks down the original megastars and after she finds each one the two new protagonists get a powerup!

That’s all for now- Kliff is also really annoying and smug in this au because he’s like “ooo i told you rock was better we won edm sucks!”

Yoooooooo, they all sound SUPER COOL!!!! Super creative, and honestly good for star girl! Could name her something like Betel, or Maia, or Electra, Siri(us), Scuti (could give the initials UYS for U.Y. Scuti) idk! Stars fun.

That sounds super duper fun, and of course Kliff could be smug about it. Nerd. Jerk. Nerd.

I think the third or first are my favorite design descriptors. Flashy and Rocky both sound like they would be SUPER neat visually. All of them do, but I love flashy and geodes.

back to the post over, mayday's issues with food, its not that she doesn't WANT to eat is just she physically CANT eat more right then, which is why Zuke offers a lot of snacks over the course of the day in an effort to keep up with all the calories she burns threw. however (using stuff about me irl) the stress from the kliff situation further drops her appetite and zuke's usual methods aren't really enough rn -heartbreaker.

Literally everyone is extremely concerned for Mayday, they want to make sure she’s alright!
