Out of nowhere but I feel like being hyper-formal with this blog makes it harder for me to keep it active, so I’m gonna just relax with this and Markpost in addition to the writing content (which obviously is still free game to send asks for).

I’m finishing up my senior year of high school right now and that’s been a hell of a lot to deal with, so I’m hoping that once I finally graduate I’ll be able to rewatch the Mark projects and write out the stuff that’s collecting dust in the ask box.

If anyone wants to pop in and chat or just listen to my rambling opinions, like the Wilford language post or the favorite MarkCU characters, those were both really fun to make so I’m open to that :3

I’m definitely not the first person to bring this up, but do y’all ever wonder if Wilford Warfstache was semi-inspired by Jim Carrey’s portrayal of the Grinch?

I was watching it recently and the manner of speaking sort of reminded me of Wilford, and we know that Mark is a fan of that movie because of UA. Obviously they’re different character-wise, but I feel like the speech patterns may have been somewhat inspired by that.

Hello all! I’m back to writing here, though posts will likely be on the slower side.  Currently, my ask box holds three imagine posts that I’m having a bit of trouble finishing, but hopefully I’ll be able to get them out as soon as possible. Those have been in there for a while, and I’m really sorry they’re not out yet, but my health and school have put those longer-form pieces on the back burner for a while. I will say though that I am willing to take new asks! Headcanon posts are basically guaranteed to be put out faster, but I swear on all things that imagines will be put out eventually. I’m sorry I’ve been gone for so long, and I hope I can get back into the swing of things easily and produce quality writing for the lot of you.

Hello! I was wondering what you're top MCU characters are and why?*coughgactormarkcough* Do you have a favorite series? I hope you're doing well! :DD

First off, thank you for the well wishes. I'm doing pretty good, I hope you are as well :3. Second, these are great questions and I'm very happy to answer them.

In terms of my top characters and why, here’s my top 5 (in no specific order)

Actor Mark - Bastard (complimentary). He’s so fun to analyze and think about and make headcanons for. I love how he toes the line between sympathetic and absolutely fucking insane. Like I can totally understand how he ended up spiraling in the wake of... well, everything, and also that the entity of the manor definitely took advantage of his state, but it’s also very fun that he is also a petty bitch who leaves a trail of destruction in his wake. He’s very special to Me

Yancy - I feel like this is kind of obvious, judging on how eager I’ve been to answer all of the Yancy asks, but I love this funky lil prison boy so goddamn much. He’s so fucking dramatic and I adore it. I mean, like, he killed his dad for questioning his fake accent, and there’s an ending where he dance-battles Y/N to death. Man is iconic. Also I’m very gay for him and I want to give him a kiss

Wilford Warfstache - Again, kind of obvious given my blog theme right now, but GOD I love Wilford so much. I just wanna grab him by the neck and dangle him around like a wet noodle. I have so many thoughts about this feral man dear fucking god. His lore is cool as hell too, which is a bonus, and he’s cute!!! My bi boyfriend. My silly rabbit. And my love for Wilford isn’t even an “I can fix him” type of thing. I could make him worse <3

Celine - This list is mainly of characters who came from WKM?/were established there, but I can’t get over Celine. She’s probably one of the most powerful characters in the entire MarkCU, hence why the Entity wanted to yoink her body, but she is also so pretty and cool!! She also isn’t absolutely insane for the most part and seems to be one of few rational people involved in WKM?. Bonus points for that

Head Engineer Mark - Listen. There is so much I can say about this Mark variant. He’s the perfect blend of sweet himbo and cocky bastard, and, though he causes problems, he does not cause them on purpose like Actor does. He has a genuine love and passion for space and his crew, and most notably the Captain, and all of his decisions are made with good intentions; the road to hell is paved with those, after all. The scene of him in the warp core near the end of ISWM2 still has a hold on me almost a year after I first saw it. He may be misguided, but he’s doing his absolute best and I love him so much.

Ironically, when it comes to series, my favorite isn’t WKM? - it’s ISWM. Not only is it incredibly made, every actor’s performance is incredible, especially Mark’s with his many roles. The emotional range of Head Engineer Mark’s character in particular is so amazing to me, and I think about all of the skill and passion that went into that artwork regularly. Plus, it ended up pushing the MarkCU back into special interest territory for me!  This isn’t to say that the others are bad or less than, but I adore ISWM with all my heart. It deserved that Emmy smh.

Once again, thank you for the question, and I’m sorry it took so long to get out a response. I love just about every MarkCU character in a variety of ways, but these five are all so special to me.

Hey. Just figured I’d pop on here and catch you all up.

I’ve been experiencing a lot in my personal life as of late, both regarding external forces and my own struggles with motivation currently. I really hope I can get more posts out soon, but I need a little time to catch up and get all my ducks in a row.

I don’t think I’ll close the ask box necessarily, as I feel like it’s valid for requests to be sent while they’re fresh in your minds, but there’s little to no guarantee that I’ll get to them any time soon - after all, I still have a good deal of other requests to tackle right now.

I’m in the process of writing some longer things for the blog that have been requested, but it might take me a little bit, and I’d like to get some other things out in the meantime.

Romantic headcanons for Actor Mark please?

I think I've mentioned it on here but I'm a total sucker for Actor Mark, so I'm more than happy to provide romantic content for him. Thanks for the ask!

As you probably know, Mark has a strong personality. He can be petty and passive aggressive, sure, but he holds a lot of passion and affection for his partners

Gift giving is one of his major love languages, and he takes any excuse he can get to absolutely spoil you! He goes out of his way to pick out gifts he thinks you would like, or clothes he thinks you would look good in, or other things of the sort

He’s also very big on physical contact! It’s as if he always has to have at least one hand on you

Like, for example, when Mark kisses you, he’ll rest a hand on the small of your back; when you lounge together, he’ll have his arm linked around your shoulders

Also, like I mentioned in my other Actor Mark post, he has a really nice singing voice. Since you’re someone he loves, he doesn’t mind sharing his voice with you

If you have trouble sleeping, he’s always keen to hold you, resting your head on his chest, and sing you something soothing

Additionally, I think he’d be a pretty good dancer. When he’s in a particularly good mood, he has a habit of spinning you around or swaying with you in his arms

Not a particularly a request but I want to share this thought and I want to know your thoughts about it too! :3

I feel like wilford would absolutely have a vast knowledge on different languages or he probably have his reality bend item like the one was shown on iswm

I also wonder, if he does know different languages, does the ones he learned back when he was the colonel at the time bleed through? And if anyone ask him about he'll probably answer them that its natural for him to do

And and- what language/s would he be most fluent at? :0

This is a very interesting concept, and one that I've never considered!

I feel like, from all of his travels (during his hunting days and post-WKM?), he would definitely have learned a handful of languages - at least bits and pieces of them, anyhow.

Based on his experience as a safari hunter, I would wager that he knows at least some Arabic and Swahili, as those are two of the most commonly-spoken languages on the African continent. Additionally, Pakistan and Argentina are also known for big game hunting, so he could potentially know some Urdu and/or Spanish. Also, since Mark is/was learning Korean himself irl, I like to headcanon that Wilford might also know some Korean! Also also, French is the language of love, so I feel like he tried to learn it at some point (though it might not have really stuck).

In terms of languages bleeding through in the current day, I'm sure they would! I can imagine Wilford forgetting words in English and swapping them out with words from other languages he has a grasp on instead. That feels pretty in character for him, in my opinion, since he's generally pretty incoherent.

When it comes to fluency, I say he's the most fluent in English and Korean! Just because I think that would be neat, I don't really have much reason behind it lol.

I can't think of any egos I outright wouldn't write about or would have a problem writing, to be completely honest. In most cases, the only egos I wouldn't tackle are ones I don't know - even in that case, though, I'd probably do a little researching and try to figure out what their vibe is and what have you.

In terms of egos I would like to write about, I'd love to see more Wilford requests in my ask box! He's my blorbo right now lmao so I would love to ramble my thoughts about him.

Absolutely I do. Actor Mark is my problematic fav and I think about him more than I should tbh. Thank you for the ask!

This man is hell to work with - especially if you’re his co-star. Prepare yourself for a very petty rivalry

Speaking of petty, that word fits Mark better than basically anything else. He’s insanely passive aggressive. He vandalized a former co-star’s dressing room once out of spite and entirely refused to confess to it

In the wake of a film release, though, he throws very extravagant parties for everyone, so that makes him a little easier to manage!

I also think Actor Mark would have a very nice singing voice, but he would barely use it 

(He only really ever sang to Celine, and after she left he gave up on it)

Honestly, as prickly as he can be, though, he really just needs someone to show him genuine kindness and compassion

A lot of the time he feels like he doesn’t have anyone to turn to, so if someone opened their arms to him, maybe he wouldn’t turn out as unhinged as he does in canon

I'm loving the Yancy asks I'm getting, he's one of my favorite egos! Thanks for the ask, anon.

Yancy was really nervous when he first got on parole. He hadn’t been outside of Happy Trails for as long as he could really remember

He tells you about a million times that he’s lucky to have you in his life, and that he’d probably die in the real world without your help

(He won’t stop, either, no matter how many times you tell him that you don’t need that much credit)

When Yancy did get out of jail, he basically invited himself to live at your house by crashing on your couch every night. You didn’t mind, though, you would’ve insisted he stay over if he hadn’t himself

Also, at your encouragement, Yancy starts working on music and playing guitar at a local coffee shop to help chip in some money. Getting a “real-person” job would’ve taken too much time and effort, anyhow

In Yancy’s words, he’s never been so happy in his life. He gets free coffee after his sets, he has more resources to work on music, and he gets to see you every day. What could be better?

By the way, if you have any pets or plants, he jumps at the excuse to help look after them. It gives him a sense of purpose

I may or may not have realized something related to In Space with Markiplier.

Engineer!Mark said that the only other person he trusted the most was the Captain.

Engineer!Mark also built the warp core.

Now, with this in mind, recall when the Captain first found the warp core.

The warp core itself trusted the Captain to resolve the time-space paradox we got ourselves into.

If you think about it, this could be Engineer!Mark's statement of trusting the Captain still ringing true despite his distrust to the Captain before engaging the warp core.

Even if he thought that the Captain was the reason why the events of ISWM happened, he still subconciously trusted the Captain enough to resolve everything.

It wasn't just our hopeful persistence that saved the time-space continuum and The Invincible — it was Engineer!Mark's faith in the Captain that helped in resolving everything.

Markiplier may say this is about "the illusion of choice," but this is just as much about deep relationships that lead to a deep level of trust.

Honestly, this is one of the most beautiful things that I have ever realized about this.
