Is Spellbound a project you collaborate on, or is it a solo project? There was a call for writers at the beginning of its development, are you still open to collaborating with writers?

So fun fact, Spellbound actually started as a collaborative project! However, the people I worked with (my coder and the writer) both kind of forgot about the project and no longer answered my messages. Tbf I would take six month breaks in between working spurts (a girl gets busy), but even then it seemed like I was the only one really caring to keep the momentum up with the game.

As such, I've resolved to work on it by myself as a solo project. HOWEVER, I've really been struggling with ideas and writing so I'm considering opening up to collaboration. It's a very strong maybe, so don't count on it— I just need more time to brainstorm and get my thoughts in order first before I decide.

I'll definitely come back to this question with a more definitive answer later— just didn't want to leave you hanging :)

The second demo for Spellbound is officially DONE!

We’re moving into beta testing now, and once my beta testers have gone ahead and reviewed everything I’ll be releasing it to the public. I’m moving the release date forward to a tentative June 1st, so watch out for that!

Making the decision to step back from making a full OST for Spellbound.

I’m simply not good enough at making music right now-- I feel like it’s dragging the quality of the game down.

I will still be commissioning an original Spellbound theme! I’ve been eying Rush Garcia’s work ever since I was 15 and I’ve been wanting to commission him for years now. I don’t have the money for it right now, but it will be a thing that happens before the final iteration of the game.

Anyways, just a little update. I’m gonna go through the hundreds of PeriTune songs now to find the perfect ones for the game :)

we’re officially 3/4ths of the way through the material for the second demo! This means I can probably get it out by the end of next month, if I keep going at this pace.

The second demo contains all the story up to where the routes branch out, so the next update after that will likely be a route all the way through to the end!

I appreciate y’all’s patience as I struggle through this, lol. interaction w my posts is kind of what keeps the hype going for me so thank you

not sure if i’ve updated the general tumblr population on this, but i’ve moved forward with Spellbound on my own— I’m now the only one working on it now (my partners kinda dropped it) so i’m writing all the story, making all the art, doing all the coding, and making all the music. this is why it takes me so long to pump parts out, so thanks for understanding and being patient! ily’all thanks for the support <3
