do follow an uploading schedule, if not do you plan to? I keep checking my Tumblr everyday hoping there is a new page and the notification just didn't go through, so i was basically wondering if there is a certain time span i can expect to be between the new pages and the previous ones?

I was uploading on Fridays but I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus to focus on irl for a bit, I plan to upload the end of the prologue this weekend with a week break before starting chapter 1 and posting as normal.

Sorry for the extremely dumb question, but what happened in your April Fool’s alternate ending? Did the lynx kill your character?! I know this is a joke, but I'm just curious.

The concept was that if Horizonpaw just walked away rather than confront the lynx the traumatizing events of the plot would not happen to her. The last panel is showing what is going to actually happen in the comic—something she could’ve avoided if not for an impulsive decision as a child—censored to avoid spoilers lol. No worries I understand how it could be confusing

This probably sounds weird as fuck but I love the way you draw the scenery. Like, I feel like I can smell how humid and muddy this day is. It’s very nice to look at, I wish I could dissect the way you do them for knowledge.

Not weird at all, thank you! Capturing the senses and atmosphere of the scene is a high priority for me so I’m glad I’ve achieved that so far. I could lend some insight into my process but I generally just scribble colors until it looks good lol

HI i have a question abt the bay clans which I hope is ok to ask here instead of ur main blog?? I figured here is prob safe since it's the one specifically for the bay clans but uh yeah anyways:

Would it be ok to make fan OCs in the bay clans? They wouldn't have to be canon ofc– it's just that I'm already so obsessed w the clan structure and lore and environment and everything, and character ideas keep swimming around in my brain uninvited 😅 like seriously I get so excited at creative worldbuilding and everything about your art and writing is like,, Instant Cure For Art Block

And I'd totally understand if not! Or if there were very strict rules in place, or whatever. Your own OCs and universes are a very valid thing to be protective of :] in which case I will fuel all my art energy into fanart 👀 (which I will probably end up doing either way lol)

Yes of course that would be so cool! I am definitely not that protective of my work I think art is most fun when it’s collaborative. Unfortunately due to adhd demons I haven’t even covered the full extent of clan culture, so there’s some things that would be a cool basis for ocs that I haven’t given a lot of info on yet (such as Iceclan’s role as stewards of the dead and funeral processions, Stoneclan’s use of fire and tools, etc). But yeah I’m flattered that what I’ve got so far inspired you I encourage ocs. Only rule is you tag me so I can see them :]

I am a little bit obsessed with Stormpetrel despite only seeing him one time, I would DIE to know all the tea about where he’s fathered kits and who the angry moms are (unless you don’t wanna spoil something that might be revealed in the comic)

Here’s Storm’s past romantic flings that resulted in kittens (or future kittens).

Stormpetrel’s a pretty minor character so nothing’s spoilery about his situation. He’s chronically allergic to commitment and enjoys romance outside of his own clan as an escape, but it’s something he can easily ignore in his own clan when he’s not in the mood, and helps him not have to deal with the hard work of a relationship/fatherhood. He also likes the concept of leaving an extensive legacy with relatively little work on his part. He’s running out of options due to his reputation though. Kits are raised communally so the distaste towards him is less because he doesn’t perform father duties and more because he refuses to acknowledge that these past/current relationships exist at all.

HII THE NEWEST PAGES OF THE COMIC HAS BE BOUNCING OFF THE WALLS!! Specifically, two moments from two pages.

..There's just something about the Lynx's expression that fascinates me. I want to say it's either like... realizing it's not worth it, or maybe even like??? I don't know, shocked that someone actually landed a hit on it? Idk there's just something about it!!

I'm really excited to see what's going to happen next :)!!

The Lynx is one of my favorite characters to depict since almost all of its expressions are so subtle, and a lot of its thoughts are up to reader interpretation so I’m interested hearing how people read its expressions. Glad you’re enjoying it so far!

Pages 6-8’s composition does such a wonderful job making the lynx seem HUGE and intimidating. Makes it feel like this lynx really has incredible, incomprehensible power. Makes Horizonpaw’s desperate strike feel MONUMENTAL. Very cool comic !!!

Iceclan’s sole courier after the passing of Sleetpelt, who slipped on ice and took a several hundred foot fall the previous winter. Spooked by his former companion’s death, Harefoot has begun to overcompensate by wrapping himself in protective padding and taking extra cautious routes to other clans. His extreme measures have essentially left Iceclan with zero couriers, and Iceclan’s denizens are unsure how to approach him about his anxieties.
