i was flipping around for a few days and finally decided to close this blog for good. it’ll stay up as an archive.

there is several projects i’d like to do and i’m just not feeling it.

i grew to hate the fandom even while I was in it. usually it was the ‘walking on eggshells’ feeling with so many of the members in it and with trying to host events where people would throw tantrums if one of the people participating ended up shipping blmatsu (even if they’d be very clear it was an AU where they were not related). it made for a very divided and toxic fandom.

it’s mostly that i feel fulfilled with the writing and character exploration I did for Todomatsu. The lack of character development however is where I started to get bored and found it harder and harder to think of things that would keep me feeling involved in the character. I really hated that both the end of season 2 and the movie left me feeling empty to the characters themselves. they were fun on different levels but I’m usually invested in character and story development the most.

i’ll watch season three and if I post fanart i’ll post it to @nyarome

that blog is also for general things relating to Fujio Akatsuka. I’ll post antiques and vintage Osomatsu/Bakabon/Ataro/etc things, maybe manga translations occasionally.

Otherwise I’m going to work on other projects.

It’d truly been fun being in the fandom when I was. I liked a lot of the people I met and I loved the humour other creators could create. It was always a blast to check my feed when new episodes happened or when someone would post a fun shitpost. ^^ if you wanna stay in contact or something you can hmu on @nyarome of course!!

Season 3, This Blog. Hmm...

I’m around, though I can’t say I’m drawn to writing Matsus that much anymore. The stagnant character development and growth as well as the disappointment of the movie is what ultimately upset me with the fandom. That and the discourse and drama over shipping which stepping away from it for a year makes me realize how absolutely stupid it is.

I do not want to delete the blog and I’m still going to have the blog. I’m not entirely sure what I want to contribute, if anything but some old manga strip translations at this point.

While I still love Todomatsu, I’ve been into many other projects. Also my time in Japan opened me up to taking interest in many other subjects.

Maybe I’ll pop in here more often or draw art relating to each new episode or something. Maybe I’ll revive the blog and my servers.

What would you like to see me and this blog do, if there is any interest in this blog?

I would like to host the TV Tokyo Live Streams I hosted back when Season 2 aired for sure!

It’d be fun if people wanted to interact with this Todomatsu again. So I guess, send asks.

It’s been about two years since I really did much on this blog. Fresh season, fresh start.

Oh wow. I think if this blog comes back you should improve the art considerably because it's pretty amateurish and there's no visible improvements over time. It always felt like a "minimal effort for maximum notes" sort of vibe.

I do not disagree with that. I would like to remind you that this is an ask blog and I am an amateur artist though! There are a lot of fantastic artists who also run ask blogs for this fandom I have no idea who is active and draws well. I’ll give a promo to anyone who asks though, just DM me a link. This blog still has a lot of followers and I don’t know who are active, but if I can help anyone out just link me to a promo post. Even if I may not reactivate the blog, I can still help out some others.
